There is a labyrinth located to the east of the City of Beginnings that is, in theory, a death trap to the low level players that start off on level one. It's full of monsters whose levels are surprisingly difficult, and for this reason players tend to stay away from it. But it's said that there may be a special quest to it that can only be found on a later level.

It was like a dream had come true for her. For once her real life would no longer affect her. She would no longer be weak. She was no longer going to have to be afraid. She did not have to worry about her parents beating her or foster homes or anything ever again. Even therapy was no longer an issue. It was like an absolute dream had come true. She could not believe what had happened. It was as if the purest of dreams had come true. She now had a way of gaining power and being able to stay away from her parents and take her inner wrath out on all of them. She was smiling inside. She could not wait to start it, grasping her own milky white shaking hands she smiled a smile that was best reserved for those in an asylum. Her eyes were wide and her pupils dilated as she entered the labyrinth. One used to say that it was nearly impossible for a low level and one who was level one to enter into this place and survive. She thought this to be false and she knew that if she did do so and succeeded. Power would forever be hers. She could not wait for the power that was going to come for her. And when the power and the wealth was hers, she would eliminate everyone in the game so that no one could ever complete the game. Because if someone would complete the game, it would mean she would have to go home. Back to reality. Back to hell. She would not do so. She had heard that many players were committing suicide. They were stupid. They could not see the wonderful gift they had been given. The gift of absolute freedom and creativity. At that moment a narg had appeared to which she raised a bow and shot several arrows at it. Killing it.
Well that one one narg down and another one had appeared. She smiled and charged at the creature and it charged at her. She jumped over the thing, doing a small twirl while facing it upside down in the air and shot it again and again with arrows all along the back. Watching the thing slump to the ground and start to shake violently. Blood was pouring out of the creature as she smiled at it. The creature was dead as well and now two had been slain.
With two slain, what else could she do? She walked among the labyrinth. She knew she should not be here much longer but she didnt care. She needed to get here to kill more creatures. Once again the narg appeared and leapt at her from out of sight, had her accuracy and speed not been high enough, she would have dropped. She ducked and the thing went over her and as she did, she punched upwards and it went through the Nargs stomach, killing the creature as the blood came and splattered over her. She smiled and laughed as she had just killed the third narg. Well with three down she realized she had a limit of only two left. But the thing was she needed to get it killed. She needed the exp and once she had it, she would be able to kill everyone. She could not wait to kill everything in site. And once she was able too, she couldnt wait. She smiled and walked around, she couldnt know what to do. She could literally kill everyone and everything after. Wasnt that the end goal though?
She walked around. She had slain three nargs and not a lot else could be done, so she walked over to the maze and sat down in a corner. Opening a book, she sat down and looked at it. She began to read it allowed and in many ways it seemed to be a moral of a story for her life. It seemed to be accurate to it. The warder looks down at the mid hour of night, On the tombs that lie scatter'd below; The moon fills the place with her silvery light, and the churchyard like day seems to glow. When see! first one grave, then another opes wide, and women and men stepping forth are descried, in cerements snow-white and trailing. In haste for the sport soon their ankles they twitch, and whirl round in dances so gay; the young and the old, and the poor, and the rich, But the cerements stand in their way; and as modesty cannot avail them aught here, They shake themselves all, and the shrouds soon appear scatter'd over the tombs in confusion. Now waggles the leg, and now wriggles the thigh s the troop with strange gestures advance, and a rattle and clatter anon rises high, as of one beating time to the dance. The sight to the warder seems wondrously queer, when the villainous Tempter speaks thus in his ear: Seize one of the shrouds that lie yonder! Quick as thought it was done! and for safety he fled behind the church-door with all speed; The moon still continues her clear light to shed on the dance that they fearfully lead. But the dancers at length disappear one by one, And their shrouds, ere they vanish, they carefully don, And under the turf all is quiet. But one of them stumbles and shuffles there still, and gropes at the graves in despair; Yet 'tis by no comrade he's treated so ill the shroud he soon scents in the air. So he rattles the door--for the warder 'tis well That 'tis bless'd, and so able the foe to repel, All cover'd with crosses in metal. The shroud he must have, and no rest will allow, There remains for reflection no time; On the ornaments Gothic the wight seizes now, And from point on to point hastes to climb. Alas for the warder! his doom is decreed! Like a long-legged spider, with ne'er-changing speed, Advances the dreaded pursuer. The warder he quakes, and the warder turns pale, The shroud to restore fain had sought; When the end,--now can nothing to save him avail, In a tooth formed of iron is caught. With vanishing lustre the moon's race is run,When the bell thunders loudly a powerful One,And the skeleton fails, crush'd to atoms. The woods decay, the woods decay and fall, The vapours weep their burthen to the ground, Man comes and tills the field and lies beneath, And after many a summer dies the swan. Me only cruel immortality Consumes; I wither slowly in thine arms, Here at the quiet limit of the world, A white-hair'd shadow roaming like a dream The ever-silent spaces of the East, Far-folded mists, and gleaming halls of morn. Alas! for this gray shadow, once a man; So glorious in his beauty and thy choice, Who madest him thy chosen, that he seem'd To his great heart none other than a God! I ask'd thee, "Give me immortality." Then didst thou grant mine asking with a smile, Like wealthy men who care not how they give. But thy strong Hours indignant work'd their wills, And beat me down and marr'd and wasted me, And tho' they could not end me, left me maim'd To dwell in presence of immortal youth, Immortal age beside immortal youth, And all I was in ashes. Can thy love Thy beauty, make amends, tho' even now, Close over us, the silver star, thy guide, Shines in those tremulous eyes that fill with tears To hear me? Let me go: take back thy gift: Why should a man desire in any way To vary from the kindly race of men, Or pass beyond the goal of ordinance, Where all should pause, as is most meet for all? A soft air fans the cloud apart; there come A glimpse of that dark world where I was born. Once more the old mysterious glimmer steals From thy pure brows, and from thy shoulders pure, And bosom beating with a heart renew'd. Thy cheek begins to redden thro' the gloom, Thy sweet eyes brighten slowly close to mine, Ere yet they blind the stars, and the wild team Which love thee, yearning for thy yoke, arise, And shake the darkness from their loosen'd manes, And beat the twilight into flakes of fire. Lo! ever thus thou growest beautiful In silence, then before thine answer given depart-est, and thy tears are on my cheek.
The truth was, did you know what she had in common with the man of the poor, the gay, and the thief? Well they all craved power, they were all hated, they were all scared, and they all wanted wealth, power, and quite even possibly acceptance. They want to feel as if they do not have to be afraid only longer. She loved the idea of having more power and as two nargs came at her, she shot both down with arrows, claiming her five kills for the day. She could not help but smile at the fact that she could feel herself growing stronger. She continued to cite out words of stories of great tales.
Oh what can ail thee, knight-at-arms, Alone and palely loitering? The sedge has withered from the lake, And no birds sing. Oh what can ail thee, knight-at-arms, So haggard and so woe-begone? The squirrel's granary is full, And the harvest's done. I see a lily on thy brow, With anguish moist and fever-dew, And on thy cheeks a fading rose Fast withereth too. I met a lady in the meads, Full beautiful - a faery's child, Her hair was long, her foot was light, And her eyes were wild. I made a garland for her head, And bracelets too, and fragrant zone; She looked at me as she did love, And made sweet moan. I set her on my pacing steed, And nothing else saw all day long, For sidelong would she bend, and sing A faery's song. She found me roots of relish sweet, And honey wild, and manna-dew, And sure in language strange she said - 'I love thee true'. She took me to her elfin grot, And there she wept and sighed full sore, And there I shut her wild wild eyes With kisses four. And there she lulled me asleep And there I dreamed - Ah! woe betide! - The latest dream I ever dreamt On the cold hill side. I saw pale kings and princes too, Pale warriors, death-pale were they all; They cried - 'La Belle Dame sans Merci Hath thee in thrall! . “When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end; The goddess descends from the sky Wings of light and dark spread afar. She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess We seek it thus, and take to the sky Ripples form on the water's surface The wandering soul knows no rest. There is no hate, only joy For you are beloved by the goddess Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul Pride is lost Wings stripped away, the end is nigh! My friend, do you fly away now? To a world that abhors you and I? All that awaits you is a somber morrow; No matter where the winds may blow My friend, your desire Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess Even if the morrow is barren of promises. Nothing shall forestall my return; My friend, the fates are cruel; There are no dreams, no honor remains. The arrow has left the bow of the goddess My soul, corrupted by vengeance Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey. In my own salvation And your eternal slumber Legend shall speak Of sacrifice at world's end The wind sails over the water's surface, Quietly, but surely. Even if the morrow is barren of promises Nothing shall forestall my return To become the dew that quenches the land To spare the sands, the seas, the skies. I offer thee this silent sacrifice”
I saw their starved lips in the gloam, With horrid warning gaped wide, And I awoke and found me here, On the cold hill's side. And this is why I sojourn here Alone and palely loitering, Though the sedge is withered from the lake, And no birds sing. They hanged John Farrel in the dawn amid the marketplace; At dusk came Adam Brand to him and spat upon his face. "Ho neighbors all," spake Adam Brand, "see ye John Farrel's fate! "Tis proven here a hempen noose is stronger than man's hate! For heard ye not John Farrel's vow to be avenged upon me Come life or death? See how he hangs high on the gallows tree!" Yet never a word the people spoke, in fear and wild surprise- For the grisly corpse raised up its head and stared with sightless eyes,And with strange motions, slow and stiff, pointed at Adam Brand And clambered down the gibbet tree, the noose within its hand. With gaping mouth stood Adam Brand like a statue carved of stone, Till the dead man laid a clammy hand hard on his shoulder bone. Then Adam shrieked like a soul in hell; the red blood left his face And he reeled away in a drunken run through the screaming market place; And close behind, the dead man came with a face like a mummy's mask, And the dead joints cracked and the stiff legs creaked with their unwonted task. Men fled before the flying twain or shrank with bated breath, And they saw on the face of Adam Brand the seal set there by death. He reeled on buckling legs that failed, yet on and on he fled; So through the shuddering market-place, the dying fled the dead. At the riverside fell Adam Brand with a scream that rent the skies; Across him fell John Farrel's corpse, nor ever the twain did rise. There was no wound on Adam Brand but his brow was cold and damp, For the fear of death had blown out his life as a witch blows out a lamp. His lips were writhed in a horrid grin like a fiend's on Satan's coals, And the men that looked on his face that day, his stare still haunts their souls. Such was the fate of Adam Brand, a strange, unearthly fate; For stronger than death or hempen noose are the fires of a dead man's hate.
The truth was these stories she was thinking of were ones she had written as a child. A child who had not ever known anything different. However she sat down and began to ponder on them. Do you know what else was like a thief and the bigotry of gayness who was absolutely hated in every way? A spider, and as she thought this a spider crawled against her flesh as she smiled watching it dig its fangs into her skin, wincing slightly at the pain that was to befall upon her even though deep down it bothered her not. She enjoyed the pain. In a manner of ways it even brought her pleasure. She could not help but feel the pleasure of pain as the venom rinsed through her entire blood, feeling it through her veins. She loved the idea of pain. She could not believe it. It was almost magical. The pain caused her eyes to roll slowly and her eyelids to shut rightly as her muscles tensed strongly throughout her body, shaking lightly with a shaky breath coming out of her pursed and full red lips. It was an amazing situation. Did you know that spiders were predators? Not unlike her. Spiders are small, eight-legged creatures that are best known for spinning silk webs. Spiders spin webs so they can catch insects for their food and even larger and stronger insects cannot escape. All spiders spin silk but some don't spin webs. Bolas spiders spin a single line with a sticky end. Any insect near, gets trapped when the spider swings the sticky line near them. All spiders have fangs and most kinds have poison glands. They use their fangs and poison glands to capture their food. A spider's bite can kill insects and other small animals. A few kinds of spiders are harmful to human beings. In North America, six kinds of spiders harm people, they are - the Brown Recluse, Sac, Black Widow, Brown Widow, Red-legged Widow and the Varied Widow. Four of the Widow females are known to bite humans. The bites of these six spiders often cause mild reactions. Usually a person irritates a spider several times for it to bite you. In Australia, the most dangerous spider is the Funnel-Web with the Red-back, a type of Black Widow spider, also being dangerous. Spiders are helpful to people because they eat harmful insects. They eat grasshoppers and locusts which destroy crops. Spiders also eat flies and mosquitoes which carry diseases. Spiders feed mostly on insects but some capture and eat tadpoles, small frogs, small fish and mice. Most females are larger and stronger than the males and occasionally they eat males. Spiders can live anywhere they can find food like fields, woods, swamps, caves and deserts. One kind of spider spends most of its life underwater. Another kind lives near the top of Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain. Some live in houses, barns, and other buildings. Others live on the outside of buildings, on walls, windscreens and corners of doors and windows. The life span of arachnids in temperate areas is a single season, therefore they rely on eggs to perpetuate the species from year to year. In warm regions, certain groups (some scorpions and tarantulas) appear to live more than a single year, in fact some tarantulas in captivity have survived for as long as 20 years. There are more than 30,000 kinds of spiders. Scientists believe there may be up to 50,000 to 100,000 kinds. Some are smaller than than the head of a pin but some are larger than a person's hand. One kind of spider, a South American tarantula is measured at 25 centimetres but that is with its legs extended. Most people think spiders are insects but scientists classify spiders as arachnids. Insects are different in a number of ways. Spiders have eight legs but ants, bees, beetles and other insects have only six legs. Most insects have wings or antennae which are feelers. Arachnids include daddy long legs, scorpions, mites and ticks. Scientists classify spiders as either true spiders or Tarantulas, according to certain differences in their bodies such as the way their fangs point and move. In addition, spiders can be grouped according to the way they live. Web spinning spiders spin webs to catch insects. Others lie and wait for insects to come. Spiders' Bodies Spiders may be all different shapes - short and fat, long and thin, round, oblong, or flat and one even looks like a stick insect. Their legs can be short and stubby, or long and thin. Spiders are most commonly brown, grey, or black but some species have beautiful colours. Many of these spiders are so small that their colours can be only seen with a microscope. A spider has no bones and its tough skin serves as a protective outer skeleton. Hairs, humps, and spines (bristles of skin) cover the bodies of most spiders. A spider's body has two main sections: the cephalothorax, which consists of the head joined to the thorax (chest); and the abdomen. Each of these sections has parts attached to it called appendages Connecting the the cephalothorax and the abdomen is a thin waist called the pedicel. Ears. A spider does not have ears. Mammals hear with help of hairs that are located in the ear where pressure waves in the air are converted to electric signals. These signals are then sent to the brain and interpreted as sound. A spider hears with very tiny hairs on her legs (thrichobotria). She is very capable of localizing the origin of a sound by interpreting the movement of the air produced by that sound. Eyes. A spider's eyes are on top and near the front of its head. Different species have different numbers of eyes and the size and position also varies. Most species have eight eyes, arranged in two rows of four each. Other kinds have six, four, or two eyes. Some spiders have can see better than others. Hunting spiders have good eyesight at short distances and their eyesight allows them to form images of their prey and mates. Web-building spiders have poor eyesight and their eyes are used for detecting changes in light. Some species of spiders that live in caves or other dark places have no eyes at all. The spider has two types of eyes; the main eyes and the secondary eyes. The main eyes are always the middle largest ones of the eight eyes the most spiders possesses. There are a few families of spiders with six eyes Sometimes the secondary eyes have a light reflecting layer (tapetum). This can be easily observed if one shines with a light in the eyes of a spider during the night. Mouth. Below the spider's eyes is its mouth opening. Spiders eat only liquids because they do not have chewing mouth parts. Around the mouth are various appendages which form a short "straw" through which the spider sucks the body fluid of its victim. The spider can only eat some of the solid tissue of its prey by predigesting it. The spider sprays digestive juices on the tissue and the powerful juices dissolve the tissue. A large tarantula can reduce a mouse to a small pile of hair and bones in about 36 hours by predigestion and sucking. Chelicerae are a pair of appendages that the spider uses to seize and kill its prey. The chelicerae are above the mouth opening and just below the spider's eyes. At the end of each chelicera is a hard, hollow, pointed claw, and these claws are the spider's fangs. An opening in the tip of the fang connects with the poison glands so that when a spider bites an insect with its chelicerae, poison flows from the fangs into the wound and paralyses or kills its prey. In true spiders, the fangs point crosswise, and the poison glands extend back into the cephalothorax. The fangs of tarantulas point straight down from the head, and the poison glands are in the chelicerae. Spiders also crush their prey with their chelicerae. Some species use their chelicerae to dig burrows in the ground as nests. Pedipalpi are a pair of appendages that look like small legs. One pedipalp is attached to each side of the spider's mouth, and they form the sides of the mouth. Each pedipalp has six parts. In most kinds of spiders, the part closest to the body has a sharp plate with jagged edges. The spider uses this plate to cut and crush its food. In adult male spiders, the last part of each pedipalp has a reproductive organ. Legs. A spider has four pairs of legs, which are attached to its cephalothorax and each leg has seven segments. In most kinds of spiders, the tip of the last segment has two or three claws. Surrounding the claws is a pad of hairs called the scopula. The scopula sticks to smooth surfaces and helps the spider walk on ceilings and walls. Sensitive bristles that serve as organs of touch and perhaps organs of smell also cover each leg. Some bristles pick up vibrations from the ground or air, or the spider's leg while others detect chemicals in the environment. Spiders detect smell with scent sensitive hairs located on their legs. A sense of taste in their mouth is missing. A spider feels her prey with chemo sensitive hairs on her legs and senses if the prey is consumable. The legs consist of seven segments. Beginning from the body these are in the following order and called coxa, trochanter, femur, patella, tibia, metatarsus and tarsus. When a spider walks, the first and third leg on one side of its body move with the second and fourth leg on the other side. Muscles in the legs make the legs bend at the joints but spiders have no muscles to extend their legs so it is the pressure of the blood in their bodies that makes their legs extend. If a spider's body does not contain enough fluids, its blood pressure drops, the legs draw up under the body, and the animal cannot walk. Spinnerets are short, fingerlike organs with which the spider spins silk. They are attached to the rear of the abdomen. Most kinds of spiders have six spinnerets, but some may have four or two. The tip of a spinneret is called the spinning field and the surface of each spinning field is covered by as many as a hundred spinning tubes. Liquid silk flows through these tubes from silk glands in the spider's abdomen to the outside of its body and the silk then hardens into a thread. Respiratory system. Spiders as a group have two kinds of breathing organs - tracheae and book lungs. Tracheae are found in almost all kinds of true spiders and they are small tubes which carry air directly to the body tissues. In front of the spinnerets in most kinds of true spiders is an opening called the spiracle and air enters the tubes through these openings. Book lungs are in cavities in the spider's abdomen and air enters the cavities through a tiny slit on each side and near the front of the abdomen. Each lung consists of 15 or more thin, flat folds of tissue arranged like the pages of a book. The sheets of tissue contain many blood vessels. As air circulates between the sheets, oxygen passes into the blood. Tarantulas have two pairs of book lungs. Most true spiders have one pair. Circulatory system. The blood of spiders contains many pale blood cells and is slightly bluish in colour. The heart, is a long, slender tube in the abdomen, and pumps the blood to all parts of the body. The blood returns to the heart through open passages instead of closed tubes, such as those of the human body. If the spider's skin is broken, the blood quickly drains from its body. Digestive system. A digestive tube extends the length of the spider's body. In the cephalothorax, the tube is larger and forms a sucking stomach. When the stomach's powerful muscles contract, the size of the stomach increases. This causes a strong sucking action that pulls the food through the stomach into the intestine. Juices in the digestive tube break the liquid food into particles small enough to pass through the walls of the intestine into the blood. The food is then distributed to all parts of the body. Food is also pulled through the stomach into a fingerlike cavity called the caeca. Because spiders can store food in the caeca, they can go for long periods of time without eating. Nervous system. In the cephalothorax is the central nervous system including the brain, which is connected to a large group of nerve cells called the ganglion. Nerve fibres from the brain and ganglion run throughout a spider's body. The nerve fibres carry information to the brain from sense organs on the head, legs, and other parts of the body. The brain can also send signals through the nerve fibres to control the activities of the body. The spider's silk Making silk: Spider silk is made up of protein and forms in the spider's silk glands. As a group, spiders have seven kinds of silk glands. However, no species of spider has all seven kinds. All spiders have at least three kinds of silk glands, and most species have five. Each kind of gland produces a different type of silk. Some silk glands produce a liquid silk that becomes dry outside the body. Other glands produce a sticky silk that stays sticky. Spider silk cannot be dissolved in water and is the strongest natural fibre known. The spinnerets, which spin the silk, work like the fingers of a hand. A spider can stretch out each spinneret, pull it back in, and even squeeze them all together. A spider can use different spinnerets to combine silk from different silk glands and produce a very thin thread or a thick, wide band. Some spiders also can make a sticky thread that looks like a beaded necklace. To do this, the spider pulls out a dry thread that is heavily coated with sticky silk. It then lets go of the thread with a snap. This action causes the liquid silk to form a series of tiny beads along the thread. A spider uses beaded threads in its web to help trap jumping or flying insects. Some kinds of spiders have another spinning organ called the cribellum. It is an oval plate that lies almost flat against the abdomen, in front of the spinnerets. Hundreds of spinning tubes cover the spinning field of the cribellum. These tubes produce extremely thin threads of sticky silk. Spiders with a cribellum also have a special row of curved hairs called a calamistrum on their hind legs. Spiders use the calamistrum to comb together dry silk from the spinnerets and sticky silk from the cribellum. This combination of threads forms a flat, ribbonlike silk structure called a hackled band. Spiders use hackled bands in their webs, along with the other silk that they spin. How spiders use silk: Spiders, including those that do not spin webs, depend on silk in so many ways that they could not live without it. Wherever spider goes, it spins a silk thread behind itself. This thread is called a dragline. The dragline is sometimes called the spider's "lifeline" because the animal often uses it to escape from enemies. If danger threatens a spider in its web, it can drop from the web on its dragline and hide in the grass. Or the spider can simply hang in the air until the danger has passed. Then it climbs back up the dragline into its web. Hunting spiders use their draglines to swing down to the ground from high places. Spiders also use silk to spin tiny masses of sticky threads called attachment discs. They use the attachment discs to anchor their draglines and webs to various surfaces. Many kinds of spiders build silk nests as their homes. Some spiders line a folded leaf with silk to make a nest. Others dig burrows in the ground and line them with silk. Still other spiders build nests in the centre of their webs. Many web-spinning spiders spin sticky bands or wide sheets of silk while capturing their prey. The orb weavers wrap their victims in sheets like mummies so they cannot escape. The female spider of most species encloses her eggs in an egg sac. This sac is a bag made of a special kind of silk. Types of Spiders Hunting spiders Hunting spiders creep up on their prey or lie in wait and pounce on it. Some kinds of hunters, including jumping spiders and wolf spiders, have large eyes and can see their prey from a distance. But other hunters, such as water spiders, tarantulas, and crab spiders, have small eyes. The powerful chelicerae of hunting spiders help them overpower their victims. Some hunting spiders spin simple webs that stretch out along the ground and stop insects. These spiders are grouped as hunters because they run after the insects that land in their webs. These spiders are all hunting spiders: Jumping spiders creep up and pounce on their prey. These spiders have short legs, but they can jump more than 40 times the length of their bodies. Jumping spiders are the most colourful of all spiders. Many thick, coloured hairs cover their bodies. Most male jumping spiders have bunches of brightly coloured hairs on their first pair of legs. Water spiders are the only spiders that live most of their life underwater. The water spider breathes underwater from air bubbles that it holds close to its body. Its underwater nest is a silk web shaped like a small bell. The spider fills the web with air bubbles, which gradually push all the water out of the bell. The animal can live on this air for several months. Water spiders are found only in Europe and parts of Asia.Tarantulas are the world's largest spiders. The biggest ones live in the South American jungles. Great numbers of tarantulas also are found in the southwestern United States. Many kinds of tarantulas dig burrows as nests. The trap-door spider covers the entrance to its burrow with a lid. A California tarantula builds a turret (small tower) of grass and twigs at the entrance to its burrow. This spider then sits on the tower and watches for insects moving in the nearby grass. A few kinds of tarantulas live in trees. Fisher spiders live near water and hunt water insects, small fish, and tadpoles. These spiders have large bodies and long, thin legs. But because of their light weight, they can walk on the water without sinking. These spiders also can dive underwater for short periods of time. Some fisher spiders are called nursery-web weavers because the female builds a special web for her young. Crab spiders have short, wide bodies and look like small crabs. They can walk backwards and sideways as easily as crabs do. Some brightly coloured crab spiders hide in flowers and capture bees and butterflies. A few kinds of crab spiders can disguise themselves by changing the colour of their bodies to match the colour of the flower blossom. Wolf spiders are very common and are excellent hunters. Many kinds have large, hairy bodies, and run swiftly in search of food. Others look and act like other types of spiders. For example, some wolf spiders make their homes near water and resemble fisher spiders in appearance and habits. Others live in burrows, or spin funnel-shaped webs. Web-spinning spiders Web-spinning spiders, like hunting spiders, live in caves, in grass or shrubs, or in trees. They cannot catch food by hunting because of their poor vision. Instead, they spin webs to trap insects. A web-spinning spider does not become caught in its own web. When walking across the web, it grasps the silk lines with a special hooked claw on each foot. These spiders are all web-spinning spiders: Tangled-web weavers spin a web that consists of a jumble of threads attached to a support, such as the corner of a ceiling. The cellar spiders spin tangled webs in dark, empty parts of buildings. One cellar spider that looks like a daddy longlegs has thin legs more than 5 centimetres long. The comb-footed spiders spin a tangled web with a tightly woven sheet of silk in the middle. The sheet serves as an insect trap and as the spider's hideout. These spiders get their name from the comb of hairs on their fourth pair of legs. They use the comb to throw liquid silk over an insect and trap it. The black widow and the Australian redback spider are both comb-footed spiders. Some spiders spin a tangled web containing a hackled band of dry and sticky silk. The ogre-faced stick spider spins a web that is made up largely of hackled bands. The web is only about as large as a postage stamp. This spider spins a structure of dry silk to hold the sticky web in place. The spider hangs upside down from the dry silk. It holds the sticky web with its four front legs. When an insect crawls or flies near, the spider stretches the sticky web to several times its normal size and sweeps it over the insect. Funnel-web spiders live in large webs that they spin in tall grass or under rocks or logs. The bottom of the web is shaped like a funnel and serves as the spider's hiding place. The top part of the web forms a large sheet of silk spread out over grass or soil. When an insect lands on the sheet, the spider runs out of the funnel and pounces on the victim. Sheet-web weavers weave flat sheets of silk between blades of grass or branches of shrubs or trees. These spiders also spin a net of crisscrossed threads above the sheet web. When a flying insect hits the net, it bounces into the sheet web. Often, an insect will fly directly into the sheet web. The spider, which hangs beneath the web, quickly runs to the insect and pulls it through the webbing. Sheet webs last a long time because the spider repairs any damaged parts. Dwarf spiders, which are less than 1.3 millimetres long, spin small, square sheet webs near rivers and lakes. Whip or tailed spiders live in Southeast Asia and Australia. They have long, thin, tubelike bodies, 2 to 4 centimetres long. At night the whip spider lets out a few long, thin strands of silk. It then waits for its prey--mainly smaller spiders--to use these silklines as "guide ropes." When the unsuspecting small spider climbs up such a rope the whip spider snares it by wrapping it in a broad band of silk. Orb weavers build the most beautiful and complicated of all webs. They weave their round webs in open areas, often between tree branches or flower stems. Threads of dry silk extend from an orb web's centre like the spokes of a wheel. Coiling lines of sticky silk connect the spokes, and serve as an insect trap. Some orb weavers lie in wait for their prey in the centre of the web. Others attach a signal thread to the centre of the web. The spider hides in its nest near the web, and holds on to the signal thread. When an insect lands in the web, the thread vibrates. The spider darts out and captures the insect. Many orb weavers spin a new web every night. It takes them about an hour. Such spiders often eat their old webs to conserve silk. Other orb weavers repair or replace any damaged parts of their webs. Bolus or angling spiders are classed as orb weavers, but they catch flying insects by swinging a silk line with a sticky globule at one end. Some bolus spiders are thought to give off a scent that attracts male moths. Angling spiders have large, cream-coloured bodies with pink, yellow, and brown markings. The magnificent spider of Australia is a type of bolus spider. The life of a spider Each species of spider lives a different life. Many kinds of spiders live for only about a year. Large wolf spiders live several years and some female tarantulas have lived for up to 20 years in captivity. Spiders become adults at different times of the year. Some mature in the autumn, and then mate and die during the winter. Others live through the winter, mate in the spring, and then die. Courtship and mating. As soon as a male spider matures, it seeks a mate. The female spider may mistake the male for prey and eat him, but most male spiders perform courtship activities that identify themselves and attract the females. The male of some species vibrates the threads of the female's web. Some male hunting spiders wave their legs and bodies in an unusual courtship dance. Male jumping spiders use the coloured hairs on their legs to signal females. Male nursery web spiders present the female with a captured fly before mating. Before mating, the male spider spins a silk platform called a sperm web. He deposits a drop of sperm from his abdomen onto the platform. Then he fills each of his pedipalpi with sperm. He uses the pedipalpi to transfer the sperm to females during mating. After mating, the female stores the sperm in her body. When she lays her eggs, several weeks or even months later, the eggs are fertilized by the sperm. Usually, the female does not eat the male after mating as is commonly believed. Females can continue to lay eggs for many months after mating because of the stored sperm. The number of eggs that a spider lays at one time varies with the size of the animal. An average sized female lays about 100 eggs but some of the largest spiders lay more than 2,000 eggs. In most species, the mother spider encloses the eggs in a silken egg sac. The sac of each species differs in size and shape. In many species, the mother dies soon after making the egg sac. In other species, she stays with the eggs until they hatch. Some spiders hang the sac in a web. Others attach the sac to leaves or plants. Still others carry it with them. The female wolf spider attaches the sac to her spinnerets, and drags it behind her and then carries the spiderlings on her back after they have hatched. Spiderlings hatch inside the egg sac and remain there until warm weather arrives. If the eggs are laid in autumn, the spiderlings stay quietly inside their egg sac until spring. After leaving the egg sac, the spiderlings immediately begin spinning draglines. Many spiderlings travel to other areas. To do this, a spiderling climbs to the top of a fence post or some other tall object and tilts its spinnerets up into the air. The moving air pulls silk threads out of the spinnerets. Then the wind catches the threads and carries the spiderling into the air. This unusual way of travelling is called ballooning. A spider may travel a great distance by ballooning. Sailors more than 300 kilometres from land have seen ballooning spiders. Spiderlings moult (shed their outer skin) several times while they are growing. A new, larger skin replaces the skin that has grown too tight. Most kinds of spiders moult from five to nine times before they reach adulthood. Tarantulas moult more than 20 times. Spiders have many enemies including snakes, frogs, toads, lizards, birds, fish, and other animals that also eat insects. Even some insects eat spiders like the wasp which is one of the spider's worst enemies. One group of spiders called pirate spiders eats nothing but other spiders.
In the end these were all facts about spiders, she knew a lot about them and she even loved them. She watched the creature crawl off of her body and the only reason she had known so much about the spiders was because she felt just like them. So powerful but so unnoticed and insignificant. She knew the feeling every single day of her life. It was almost horrible to the fact that she would never get to fully know. She missed the idea of power and love and quite honestly she wished she could love life everyday but knew deep down that she never would be able too because she wished to have more power and strength than anyone else in the world and once she did she would set about destroying anyone and everyone who thought to either have power over the world or to end the game. She would assassinate leaders. She would not let them live. She would kill every single one of them.. She would be the true thief of the world. She would not only be a thief of items but also… of peoples lives. She would snatch their feeble existence from them as if they had never even existed. She would kill every single one of them without a single issue. And maybe just one day she would come to power by staying out of power. Her name would be feared throughout the game with little to no consequence. If anyone raised to power strong enough, they would know she would come for them. And she would end them. The problem with that was that someone might actually fear it. Someone might set a trap for her and she could be captured and die. Which is why she needed to become so strong that no one in the world would be able to take her down. Her regeneration would be so strong that no matter what damage they did to her, her healing would be stronger. Her wounds would heal faster than they could make them. Do you know what that would be like? To be that strong?
She had no idea. She would one day know. She could not wait much longer before knowing. Watching quietly she looked at now a prying mantis walking on her. Do you know what they were like? The closest relatives of mantises are termites and cockroaches, and the three are sometimes even ranked as an order rather than suborder. Confused? Well, the entire family order and suborder of these insects is the subject of ongoing debate in the entomology world. The name praying mantis refers to the prayer-like stance of the insect (the name is often misspelled as "preying" mantis because they are predatory). Praying mantises are often confused with phasmids (stick-leaf insects) and other elongated insects. The name praying mantis refers to the prayer-like stance of the insect (the name is often misspelled as "preying" mantis because they are predatory). Praying mantises are often confused with phasmids (stick-leaf insects) and other elongated insects. Mantises have two grasping, spiked forelegs called "raptorial legs" in which prey items are caught and held securely. The movement of the head is also remarkably flexible, permitting nearly 300 degrees of movement in some species and allowing for a great range of vision without the need to move their bodies. As their hunting relies heavily on vision, they are primarily diurnal, meaning active during the daytime. The praying mantis is almost exclusively predatory and carnivorous, with insects forming most of their diet. They will eat basically ANYTHING that they can capture, overcome and usually eat alive- YIKES! For this reason, mantises are not known to be finicky eaters. They may even practice cannibalism when hungry enough. Most people keeping mantids as pets will initially feed them flightless fruit flies when they hatch and then switch to larger critters as the mantids grow. mantis hunting, Most praying mantises are ambush hunters that wait for prey to wander close enough. With amazing speed, they will then strike out and grab the unfortunate critter with the oversized, claw-like fore limbs that allow them to securely hold the struggling meal. Some specifies do, however, actually chase their meals down. Some mantids can grow very large and these larger mantid species have been known to prey on fish, birds, snakes, lizards, even rodents. YIKES again! Although the claws may look big and wicked, they aren't much in the way of providing protection. Praying mantises have little in the way of self-defense except for the use of camouflage. They are protected simply by remaining still (which they can do very well) and blending into their surroundings, with most species making use of protective coloring to match their surrounding foliage or substrate. Many mantis species will also fan their wings out when directly threatened, which makes them seem larger and more menacing to other predators. And yet some other species may hiss at would-be predators. Praying mantises can bite, but they have no venom. Nearly any large predatory animal, such as bullfrogs, snakes and many reptiles and amphibians will eat a mantis, not to mention your household cat or dog, so be sure to watch out for your buddies! The use of praying mantises as a form of biological pest control is becoming more and more common, as it should. The spraying of chemical poisons in the garden and into our environment is increasingly being seen by folks more negatively, also as should be. As we know, praying mantises are pretty big eaters. They would love to snack on little morsels of aphid, worm, grub, etc. But beware, the mantid will eat beneficial insects as well, such as lady bug larvae and lace wings. We do recommend the use of the praying mantis to control large outbreaks and infestations of harmful insects. Since the mantid is basically a transitory creature, they will soon move on and you'll be left with a pest population devastated by your little helpers. Be aware that the mantises will eat good bugs as well, including perhaps what one may consider "good" caterpillars that turn into pretty butterflies. But, you'll definitely want your mantid buddies eating the dreaded tomato hornworm that will devour your tomato vines. Also bad and on the mantis menu: Earwigs and hungry, greedy grasshoppers. The praying mantis female attaches a sticky egg case to the underside of a leaf or branch during the Fall. The egg case will begin to hatch sometime during late Spring and early Summer when temperatures warm up and the egg case magically comes to life after a chilly winter. The offspring, called nymphs pop out of the egg case in rapid succession. They are approximately 4 mm long at "birth." Once having time to "adjust" to the world, they begin to eat. They are voracious eaters all through life. They will sometimes even cannibalize each other if left without enough food. Unlike a typical larva, biologically speaking a nymph's overall form already resembles that of the adult. Nymphs do not enter a pupa or metamorphic stage, although they do molt or shed their skin.
You know? All of this reminded her of how weak she was being. She got off the ground and decided to head back to town. You know the thing was she loved the outdoors and the small creatures and all the histories she reminded herself of but the thing was she needed to get home and she needed to go back to town. So that she could begin meeting new people and gathering a raid party. The reason for this was that she needed to kill the creature who was on the floor boss. The reason was was so she could get special items and xing and buy more stuff. She needed more stuff to make herself stronger and better than ever before so that she could kill the hackers and become truly in charge of the new people. She needed power. They were completely and utterly going to lose hope. She walked home and entered into the town. She really missed this town. It was a beautiful place that had a lot of hope for potential to grow. She would make it to the higher levels and then she would open up more shops and floors on them. She really couldn’t help it. She smiled as she thought of all the limitless possibilities of all the things. You know, it was kind of amazing how powerful she would soon one day become. She walked closely to the wall as she would look around. She needed to know what she had in store for her. But as she went back up to her room and paid for an in keep, she laid in the bed. She was forever wondering what was to do next. She could not kill anymore monsters but she needed to know how to gain even more Exp. Someone might one day get close to her level but if she kept power leveling then she would be completely okay. She smiled as she continued to walk and wondered as she was actually laying down on what she could do. She really did love the idea but had no clue what to do. She began to draw with her nail on the wallpaper. She smiled as she scratched the image of a bird into the wall. She didn’t know why but it made her so happy to see it. She wondered what she could do. She decided that she would roll over and imagine she was a bird. She wondered if it was possible for her to fly. She was a reaper in the game and reapers were supposedly supposed to be able to go through walls or something along the lines. Reapers were dark and scary creatures and she knew that it wouldn’t be good for her to tell people she was one. They were seen as gods of death. And maybe that combined with a thief is what maybe considered her to be a god of death. Was she even a god? All she was for sure was a power leveled character. She smiled as she continued to lay down in the bed, these satin sheets were amazing.
Satin sheets. She could finally feel what they felt like but never truly know what they had felt like in the real world. She could afford so many luxuries here that she could not afford in the real world. It was kind of sad but at the same time it was her new beginning. As the wind blew against the window of her room, she turned over with a roll and looked out at the bustling crowd below. She may never know what it was like to see everyone but she could watch all of these people as some cried and some were very distraught. In all of reality it was somewhat sad that this is what people believed this to be. She knew that she would one day be able to see all of these people and stand over them. Not offering the hope of getting out and going back to the real world but for sure offering them the hope of staying forever eternal in this place. Never letting them escape but putting them in a hierarchy. Besides this life was so much better than the real world. They could do things here that most people could not even imagine. She wasn’t a gamer because she had no life but because she had chosen to live many and be powerful in all of them. To be everything she ever wanted to be and so much more. Power was rewarded to those who worked hard for it while it was freely given to anyone who was undeserving and sheltered away from those who deserved it in the real world. Here this would not be the case once she got into power. She would make it so that everything was fair under her rule. In fact she wanted to kill the main floor boss. She would kill it. She would assemble a party and get to a higher level. Like the true champion she was.
She would be a champion of the people and she would be the reaper of all of their souls. There would be no hiding from her. She would own the world and make sure that everyone knew that she was after them. There would be no hiding and no escaping. No safe zones to hide in. If found she would have them escorted out and killed so that they could die. She would become the ultimate in game character and the developers and the world would know what she was truly capable of. There would be no stopping her unless they killed her in real life, which would be hard to do as anything done in game would be to survive the situation they had already been put in. She was to be the ultimate red player. She formed the team name. She would be the head of the party and they were to be known as the splatter party. She smiled at this and could not help but smile even greater at the thought of it all. She moved quietly through the area as she got out of bed and began to walk the streets. She was going to be the strongest red player she had ever saw. She silently sung the song of her people to attract more and more people. “Mary Mary, quite contrary, How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cackle shells and pretty maids all in a row. That one's about Bloody Mary. I know a place of fantasy where the moon and stars all dance and everyone is happy through their fortunate luck and chance. I knew a place of fantasy but now it reigns no more beyond repair, it's corrupted by blood and malice and gore.” She sung with a slight smile on her face, repeating it again and again, “Mary Mary, quite contrary, How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cackle shells and pretty maids all in a row. That one's about Bloody Mary. I know a place of fantasy where the moon and stars all dance and everyone is happy through their fortunate luck and chance. I knew a place of fantasy but now it reigns no more beyond repair, it's corrupted by blood and malice and gore.” In truth it was somewhat creepy and people were staring at her weird as she walked past but what could they really do to her? She was the strongest in game as of right now and there wasn’t a single person in the game who could even come close to touching her. She was essentially the strongest walking person in game and she was nothing more than a simple thief. How great it was. She didn’t know what would come next or if she would ever get out of this game as she sung the words but she knew one thing for sure. She was very happy to be here. She was happy to finally be the player that could make anything happen in the game. She would be able to do anything she wanted and no one would ever be able to stop her. It was true that what came next was simply something that she would have out of pure satisfaction. It would be a miracle if anyone could ever approach her level after this, after all she was all but to be a beater of the game is what those may accuse her of. Simply because she exploited the exp system to easily power level quickly while everyone else would be stuck in the dust. Truth is there was no stopping this. She was going to be the strongest player in the game. There was no stopping her. The thing was. She was very bored. She now wanted to do something so she walked around doing s**t. She ate some food and walked around. The éclair she ate was fantastic in the sense that it was coated in chocolate. But the thing was, she had nothing left. She walked among the dark alleys as she wondered what else she could do. She didn’t know what else she should do. She figured she should find some teammates.
With that she began rummaging the streets looking for people. She didn’t know who she needed though. She wanted to make a red guild. A red guild that would dominate the world. And they would kill everyone in site that they met. Well. High level targets of course. She continued to walk around and she knew she needed to get something. She needed to find people. Once she did she would find people. I offer thee this silent sacrifice” She smiled and walked as she spoke the poem. How she loved that poem. The poem was a bunch of acts that supposedly let to eternal power and she had no idea how to find it. She smiled. She was quite sad that this was all she had but as of right now she would be fine. She loved everyone. She didn’t know how much she needed. But she loved the idea of killing people. She was ready to kill someone. And she didn’t care who it was. She needed coffee, sex, bacon, and a good fight. She was ready to strike and to kill. For shame on whoever she ran across first. They would either die or get raped. It would be one of the other. It was only a matter of time before we found out which. She smiled as she continued looking for someone. She could not stand the idea of having to wait a moment longer. She would kill or rape the next person she saw, and quite literally maybe both. Which came first would be the fun surprise. The poor b*****d who she found would know pain. A type of pain that no one else could imagine. It would be quite hilarious to her to do this to someone. Then they would know the pain she had had for a long time. Her real life would become these people’s fake lives. And everyone would know pain and only her to know pleasure. She walked quietly among the streets as she looked for someone to find. She knew whoever it was would know pain but just maybe she would invite them to her team. Her party that she was forming. They would be the strongest party in all of existence. And god save whoever they came after. There would be no helping them. She would form the greatest party in the entire world. It would be unstoppable and they would kill them all. They would be. Unstoppable. Undeniable. Irrefutable. Devastating. And simply. Incredible. It was.

Huff.. huff.. huff.. Thick and heavy breathing filled the air of the boss room on floor 97 while a Kermit Green haired male was hunched over with his hands on his knees trying to regain his breath. Laying behind him was a towering black Wyrm with a large red X across it's face from where the Monk had last hit it. The boss wasn't dead yet, but it would soon be from his poison. Feeling like it was taking more energy to stand the solo Strigoi plopped down on his bottom and ran a hand through his hair in attempts to get it out of his face. In the top left corner of his HUD the timer for when his poison would stop effecting the boss was ticking down second by second until the numbers turned red towards the end and eventually vanished from his view. Behind him there was the sound of a dying breath and the boss shattered into several particles, the beautifully colored spectacle floating up into the air before dematerializing. Laying down on his back and resting his hands behind his head the young looking male stared up at the ceiling as a large textbox filled his vision with the words "CONGRATULATIONS" in the center, the typical reward screen for killing a boss and moving on to the next floor.
Lazily he raised a hand and clicked the claim reward button and the loot filled his inventory as his exp bar filled to max and he leveled before barely moving anywhere on his new bar. With the same hand as before he swiped the air to open the user interface and opened his stat screen where he began to allocate his new points. Before he could finish however the sound of a system alert began to fill his ears as a new screen popped up informing him of a system update. So, it was this time already? He figured he still had roughly another hour until they began, he must of really zoned out while fighting that Wyrm. With a slightly aggravated sigh he continued to lay there as the world around him began to shatter and dematerialize. It wasn't long before it felt like he was floating and when he opened his eyes he was greeted with the ever so familiar expanse of white from the main server room where Character Creation usually took place. Since he had to wait for the server to rewrite itself and Vi's and his new code to be generated, he decided to let himself get lost in his thoughts from the other day, the last day he went to school before he dropped out.
Aizawa pushed the doors apart and strode his way into the room, waving at his upperclassmen and underclassmen alike, offering them hushed pleasant greetings to be friendly and return the favour of being noticed. The young male raised a hand and shifted the backpack strap further up his shoulder so it wouldn't fall off because it would be bad since he was carrying it in the one-strap fashion. As he reached the reception desk in the library he noticed that Mr. Hou wasn't present which meant one of two things: either he wasn't here today, or he was off somewhere putting books up. With a faint sigh the young man would take his backpack off and slide it to the floor before placing his stack of books on-top of the counter and slipped behind the desk before logging into the systems computer with his own credentials since he often leased himself off as a Library-aide to Mr. Hou, thus earning him personalized access to the bookkeeping system.
After logging in he took the little scanner and pointed it at the bar-code label on the spine of the books and checked them back in. Eager to get to his usual spot to read some more books before a lunch date with himself later on, Aizawa stood up only to find that there was a swarm of female students surrounding the desk with books in hand and heart-filled gazes. Although on the inside he was saddened that this situation had occurred he didn't show it, and kept a broad smile on his face as he took the time to help them with checking in/out their books and giving directions to those who needed to know where stuff was. He knew they knew where it was at, and that they were only asking him because they wanted to be with/near him cause apparently he was fairly popular and desired among the opposite sex.
At times he didn't care, but with a time like now, where he just wanted to read, it was bothersome. Finally finished the young man sat back in the chair and let out a long sigh as if just getting off an eight hour shift at a construction company. This time as Aizawa stood up there wasn't a mass of female students flocking around him, but a bunch of pissed off dudes that he was getting attention and wanted to kick his a**. With an apologetic expression Aizawa sat back down once more and began to help them with their books while apologizing several times each for the trouble he had caused them.
By now an hour had passed and he still hasn't gotten any reading done so an agitated Aizawa stood up, said ******** it, and put the bathroom break sign on-top of the counter before grabbing his bag and heading to his favoured location in the Library, picking up several books along the way. "Man, it is a hassle being so popular; I don't know why anyone would want this.." He joked to himself quietly before sitting down and opening his first book.
Aizawa's hand would twitch as a voice was heard behind himself, the hand almost instinctively reaching out to create an impassible barrier if not for the sole fact that he recognized the voice instantly which caused a thin teasing smile to appear on the oddly coloured haired male's face which carried a devilish charismatic undertone to it followed by a soft pouting exhale, 'hmph~'. Knowing his semi-boss/friend was about to take a seat, Aizawa took a quick mental note of the page and line he was on before gently closing the book and revealing the cover which had in bold letters, 'The Old Man And The Sea' by Ernest Hemingway, with the book below only showing part of it's name and author, only revealing 'Tempest' and '-espeare' which for those who love to read could probably put it together that it was the play 'The Tempest' by 'William Shakespeare'. "As usual, yes.." Aizawa replied to his question of having been swarmed by females with easily jealous boyfriends with a tone of dread that was generally unbecoming of the male, the smile turning into a frown.
Sliding down in his chair the male would look up to the the ceiling as if gazing into the heavens and would stretch out an arm as if trying to grasp at something out of reach while placing a hand over his heart, obviously exaggerating his pity and putting on a little show for Dìng. "I don't try to steal women from others but alas my devilish charms thwart me so~" Aizawa began to blink his eyes in attempt to hold back his fake tears. After a moment of the little show he sat back up in his chair and crossed his leg over the other. "But what can I do eh? It is what it is I suppose." Aizawa gave a little thumbs up to show he was okay with it and added a teasing smirk to go along with it. "Changing the subject," he started before shuffling in the chair to get into a more comfortable position, "where were you earlier? I had to do you job for you ya'know? Administration will get the wrong idea if I sign into that computer off of my Aide hours an-" Aizawa stopped almost instantly in his sentence as he realized he never signed out in his frustration. Leaning his head back so that he was staring at the ceiling once more he sighed again before pouting, "My life sucks."
Aizawa just continued to sit there with his head back, swimming in his own self pity while grumbling to himself before replying to Ding's question inquiring if he had signed out or not, "Nope.. Totally forgot. Believe me, you don't have to remind me. I still can't forget what happened last time I made a mistake on my hours; my teacher complained about it for a week at-least, saying I was making him look bad." Aizawa sat up with a slight smile upon hearing that his friend would cover for him and fix his little error. "Today? I would say just a little over an hour..? This entire week though, with your tendencies to vanish when I need you to check out my books and then I get tired of waiting so I do it for you and end up getting stuck helping others, which is beginning to sound a lot like today by the way, I would say at-least three hours." Aizawa narrowed his eyes while staring at Ding as if trying to prove a point with a look that could kill.
Changing the subject once more the young male glanced out the window as he heard a faint chirping, "Yeah well, at-least you still have a stable relationship with your parents. If I ever showed my face to mine again, my father would probably try to kill me.." He said in reponse to Ding answering a phone call from his mother. While most would take that as a joke, Aizawa was completely serious. While thinking of home the memories of his sisters flooded back to him and instinctively he reached into his pocket and retrieved his phone before sending a text to Levi and Mira asking how they were doing and how was school. Placing his cell back into his pocket Aizawa turned to Ding and let out a chuckle. "Your mom sounds like a klutz, no offense man, haha."
Before his memories could drift any further, there was the peculiar ping from being spammed constantly over private messages. Although normally you couldn't send any during a system reboot like this, he was able to do so because he and Lorelei had control of the Seed, and thus the game, practically capable of doing anything they wanted at this point. With a soft smile on his lips the teenager accessed his user interface and opened the message, accepting the voice communication request."Hello Lei-chan. I assume you are ready to get things started, yes? Uh-huh. Already did that. Okay, sounds like things are a go then, commence the sequencing. Uh-huh. Okay. Message me later, bye~"With that he disconnected the voice communications and awaited patiently for the next few crucial moments. It was at this point that things were serious. Either their hack worked and they gained full control and their little system changes went live, or the server collapsed on itself and everyone was stuck in this white void until they died. "The planet. Much hack, very wow." Aizawa mumbled to himself before laughing at his shitty little meme. Another systems notification popped up on his HUD with another textbox, however this time it only had two lines of text:
>REBOOT COMPLETE. >WELCOME TO FARDOR AVIL ONLINE 2.0
The next thing to happen a system wide notification voice message that they had set up to play once the hack was complete, and since he knew exactly what it was going to say, he force closed it. Upon doing so, he was released back into the massive multiplayer online world known as FAO. Unlike before though, were he was on Floor 97, this time he appeared on Floor 1 in the City of Beginnings. Wasting no time like the others he quickly moved to the shop and purchased a few items before running down one of the alleyways, making his way to his first destination, the Labyrinth. The path to the Labyrinth was thankfully uneventful for he didn't run into any monsters or players which made for smooth sailing to pound town. It didn't take long for the young antagonist to make his way to the imposing, towering mass of stone brick corridors which came together to make up the Labyrinth. With a gentle smile on his face he picked up his pace in a hurry to get back to leveling but a few steps into his stride he heard one of the most annoying sounds in the game and that would be the screech of a Whisp.
Whisps are spirits that float around on practically every floor, getting stronger the higher you go. They have decent stats and are hard to beat and can only be hit by Mana infused attacks. Luckily, unlike Nargs who travel in packs, these things are generally alone and spaced out so they can be easily avoided or dispatched of. What was surprising to him however was that this Whisp was near a few more, a small cluster of them some odd hundred yards back. Maybe it was a a coincidence since the world had just reset, or perhaps did Lei change a few behavior patterns in the Seed? Either way, he didn't want to take a chance so his best bet was to kill this thing fast before more could arrive and back it up. Balling his hands into fists the 'young' Monk raised his fists to chest level and entered a standard fighting stance. Aizawa began to slow his breathing and enter a more tranquil and calm state of mind, and upon doing so his body took on a blue aura that started at his feet and began to coil it's way around his frame until it reached just above his head.
This blue aura was the first stage of his Vamperic Legacy, one of his race's starter abilities, that race being the Strigoi. In the upper left corner of his Heads-up Display an icon appeared under his Stamina bar, one that had a foot and a red arrow pointing upwards indicating his speed was being boosted and next to that icon was the remaining duration for the technique. In a blur of speed the young man dashed forward, stopping just short of the Whisp as he strafed to the right and then back to the left getting behind the monster in a blur. Using this momentum he twisted his body to the right and swung his fist towards the side of the monster's head, aiming to hit him with a backhanded swing. Seeing as how this wasn't his first rodeo it wasn't surprising when the blow connected to the thing's head and got flung sideways and into the dirt. Before the Whisp could get back to it's feet, or well, weird ghost tail thing, it found itself being launched into the air away from it's comrades by a strong kick to the midsection. Again, not being one to waste a perfectly good opportunity Aizawa dashed forward and took advantage of the fact his opponent couldn't dodge and began to deliver a series of blows to the Whisp until finally one hit went through the monster's chest and it shattered into colorful shards that floated into the sky before dematerializing into nothing, vanquished. In the top left of his Heads-up Display he watched his exp bar fill a little bit, about a little over one-third of his total exp needed to level. Turning around his gaze locked onto the other Whisps that had finally managed to notice him.
Each one let out a screech and made their way towards him at a rapid pace. Now knowing that he wouldn't be able to pick them off one on one anymore, the only thing left for him to do was to simply charge head in and keep his wits about himself and not get hit. Glancing up at his speed buff timer, there was about a minute left on the counter and when he looked further up towards his Stamina bar, it was refilled as well as his Mana. This was a nifty trait to his race, if he didn't take damage within a certain amount of time, he would fully regain all of his Health and Stamina. With a smile on his face the green haired Monk launched himself forward into a mad sprint towards the oncoming group of Whisps. The blue aura around his body began to fade and change colors, this time begin replaced with a teal-ish color, for his Speed buff was now combined with a Defense buff as well. Leaping forward Aizawa stretched out a leg and kicked the first Whisp in the chest, knocking it down and into the dirt but he didn't stop there. Using the fallen Whisp as a springboard he kicked off of the monster and kneed the one directly behind it in the chest / lower abdomen or what could be considered an abdomen. By the time both his feet touched the ground the other two had finally caught on that their allies were being attacked and turned around to retaliate against their assaulter, both lashing out with claw like hands aiming to tear him apart in order to avenge their fallen comrade from before.
Using the hunched over body in-front of himself Aizawa planted his hands on the Whisp's back and vaulted over it before leaning forward and doing a reverse high kick to the back the spirit, ultimately sending him into his two comrades' attacks. Turning around, the young male took a hop back from the group of Whisps and raised his arms again in the standard fighting pose for his class. Two server pings went off in his ears and a small textbox popped up in the corner of his vision which notified him that Quests were back online, and that some new Monsters were added. Yes, this was the work of the two of them as well. They felt the game could use some more variety so they whipped up a few new beasts for each floor of the game as well as took some of the unused material of the original owners and spliced that in. A few words formed in the top right of his vision and informed him that he was in the middle of a quest as of this moment, that being the quest "What is with these numbers?!" and that he was currently three out of five kills into it for the lowest possible reward. He was feeling a bit reinvigorated now to get into the Labyrinth because he could complete the quests he knew were there. Switching his stance slightly, it was obvious the male had a new pep in his step and bolstered a new air about him.
With a smile on his face the hacker charged forward and delivered a superman punch to the Whisp at the front of the small pack of mobs and immideiately followed with a shoulder tackle to the one behind that one which left two on his right and one on his left. Snapping to his left he grabbed the Whisp by it's head and brought it down into his rising knee before launching a kick behind him knocking one of the monsters away. Throwing the dazed Whisp into the only one left standing at the moment he took the opportunity of their jumbled mess to launch a heart punch right through the two of them, center mass. As he pulled his fist from their bodies they exploded into the shards of light before dissipating into particles and then vanishing into the air altogether which raised his exp bar even more to the point of it being full. The others he had knocked down had managed to float back up and were starting to come at him from all sides. He was going to make a dash for it but noticed that in the upper left of his vision is Speed buff had vanished and all that was remaining was his Defense buff, a green aura almost matching his hair coating his body, flickering around his frame like a dancing candle flame in a windy night.
As they jumped onto him and tried to gouge out his innards with their claws they got reflected off of him for their strength was nothing compared to his current Defense. With the now a bit more spread out he went after the one to his right and gave it a 1-2 combo which consisted of a left hook and right hook before it exploded into shards. Leaping backwards he hunched down and raised his leg into a high kick again and this time planted his foot into the chin of the Whisp behind him, that one also shattering into light. Two down, one to go. Springing forward he would tackle the last one to the ground and get on top of the monster before repeatedly pounding his fist into it's face until it finally took as much damage as it's life allowed and it shattered into light. Sitting on his knees the young male took this time to gather his breath as he glanced towards the upper right of his HUD, specifically at his quest which was now complete. Raising a hand he would reach up and touch the "Quick Complete" button and be granted the experience for it. [QUEST COMPLETE: "What is with these numbers?! Easy variant]
Swiping his hand through the air Aizawa brought up his control panel and went through several options before finally arriving at his quest logs to see what other quests he could complete in the area. There were the standard quests from before like the one he had just completed and "The Missing Girl" quest, however there were two more on the list that he didn't remember being there. At the bottom of his list resided three question marks and when he tried to click on it nothing else popped up. Thinking it may have been a bug he decided to click on the other new quest which was just above that one. This one was titled "The Lost Explorer" Upon clicking on it he read it's contents and realized that he must of acquired this quest by talking to the NPC that sold him his basic armor in town. With a nod of his head the Vampire closed the menu and started on his way towards the inner workings of the Labyrinth in search of this Explorer. In the top right of his screen he noticed movement and when he looked at it he saw a timer counting down under his current / active quest. So this new quest had a timer huh? Luckily he noticed it when he did for the timer had just ticked past sixty minutes, giving him an hour left to complete this thing. With determination in his eyes he picked up his pace and began his search. Even though Aizawa practically knew this maze of corridors like the back of his own hand he still took the time to remember his turns and certain cracks in walls as landmarks of sorts just in case he got lost which he doubted he would, but if he did he would be stuck for some time seeing as how his inventory was lacking a teleportation crystal.
Aizawa checked the first passage on the left that lead to a dead end and didn't find the Explorer and so he went to the passage on the right which he also knew ended in a dead in and hoped that he could find him there for it would make this so much easier, but alas luck was not on his side for he didn't find his target. Looking up in the upper right of his field of view he glanced at the timer that was still steadily ticking down, it having just reached the thirty minutes left marker. A sigh escaped past the lips of the young Vampire. His only option left was to go forward but that would mean a large set of endless corridors that intertwined and would make his chances of finding this Explorer almost nil. Running a hand through his hair he started his trek forward down the long central corridor to the Labyrinth and tried not to let the odds get against him because if he let his mind play games against him and win then he would fail this quest and not get another shot at it. With hands in his pockets Aizawa turned took the first left he came across like he planned and when he did he found a man in basic exploration gear sitting down against a wall looking defeated and tired. Perhaps this was him? As he approached the man he called out to him and upon closer inspection he could read his name which turned out to be "Lost Explorer". With a thin smile on his lips he crouched down next to the man and explained to him on how to get out of the Labyrinth with the safest way of passage. The NPC thanked him and handed him over two Health Potions before running his way out of the Labyrinth. The sounds of trumpets faintly filled his ears as he looked over at the quest section of his HUD and saw that it was completed with twenty minutes remaining.
Re-opening his quest log he chose a new quest called "Party Trouble" and when he set it as his active quest he noticed he already had a percentage of completion in it. Reading the details of it he noticed that players were stuck somewhere in this Labyrinth, being surrounded by Elven Archers. Looking where he gained this quest he noticed it was player given, and that her friends had private messaged her asking for help, in which she had recruited him. How did he get it exactly he didn't know; perhaps she assigned it to him because she saw he was wearing Alpha and Beta gear and thought he was capable, who knows. Swiping the menu away he shoveled his hands back into his pockets and began on his merry way. While heading down corridors and finding dead ends he noticed that his completion bar was filling up. It seemed the more he mapped out of this place the more he narrowed down their location and brought him closer to completion, or what would be completion could he actually save them. Knowing how Elves like to work in their hunting parties Aizawa started to move quicker and stick more towards the main corridors than he had done so before. It wasn't long until he found traces of of the lost group of players, hearing shouts in the distance in both Japanese and the game's version of the Elven language. Sneaking up to a corner Aizawa decided to fancy himself a glance on what was around it and when he did he was greeted with the sight of three players surrounded by a hunting party of five Elven Archers, which were two more than normal but made sense seeing as how they were doing their business out and away from their usual hunting grounds, the Wilderness. Perhaps Lei-chan had coded in a more aggressive nature for the Elves, in so that they go further out of their normal territories because the last time he had seen and Elf this far out it was because it was being baited by a player for an ambush.
With a sigh he focused his breathing and just like before a green aura started to swirl around his feet before coiling up and around his figure, stopping just past his head, still dancing around him like a candle flickering against the wind. Stepping out from his corner the young Monk dashed forward and started to shout slanderous words towards the Elves in their native tongue which reduced their attitude towards him, and to make it even worse, or better for him, he attacked the first one with a punch to the face before vaulting away and running off into a corridor. It seemed his plan had worked for the group of five having been pulled by his aggro chased after him and allowed the players to escape safely and get back to town. While running around mindlessly, Aizawa managed to shake off his tail of archers and ended up in his favorite spot in the whole place, the very last corridor at the far back of the Labyrinth. To his surprise though as he was walking up to the wall where he would have sat against it and took a small rest, he found a staircase of stone leading down into a candle lit passageway. He squinted his eyes in confusion and started to approach the stairs, but before he could he got a notification that he had completed his quest for the girl who had gave it to him ended it, the players he had rescued presumably having returned to town and told her who saved them. Waving the quest log away Aizawa finished gathering his breath and steeled himself before taking his first step into this newly uncharted territory. It took longer than it should have to clear the passageway but that was simply because he was being cautious and wary of traps or ambushes for this was all unfamiliar territory for him and he didn't know what to expect.
After another fight or two of stairs the Monk came across a large cave like area that was being filled with sobs and cries that echoed off it's walls. Aizawa had taken a few steps into this area and he would soon come to regret it as he heard shuffling behind him, and when he turned around he would see something that not necessarily scare him, but startled him more or less, and that was something he hadn't felt in a while. What he saw and was experiencing for the first time was a monster called The Corrupted and was added in when they took over the server. Not wanting to take this thing on solo for the first time he decided it was best to leave for now and maybe come back with another at a later time, so he did he best to juke past the fungal infested Elf and made his way back to the top of the stairs where he got a notification saying he completed a quest. With a swipe of his hand he opened his quest log and read up on what he had just finished and learned that it was a new hidden quest, something that it seemed Lei added in when she added in the new areas for Floor one. Speaking of which, he didn't see her when he got reset, so maybe she was still at town and he could meet up with her after he went on the raid later. Before closing the logs he noticed that there was one more quest for this area and that was "The Missing Girl." Apparently a girl from the City of Beginnings was rumored to have been kidnapped by Elven Warriors and taken to the Labyrinth and he should try to find the girl and bring her to safety before something terrible can happen to her.
Before he could make it his main quest and close the logs some movement caught his attention just up ahead of him where the corridor split into two directions. Casually raising his gaze Aizawa was greeted with the sight of three Elven Warriors with a young girl in the middle wearing nothing but her pajamas. So much for Elven Warriors traveling alone. NPC or not, a furious look overcame the visage of the Vamperic Monk. Even if this was a game he wasn't about to let people get away with kidnapping a little child. with a hard swipe of his hand he closed his menu and made a mad dash forward towards the group. During his mad sprint his figure erupted in a raging red aura that danced like the flames of anger he was feeling coursing through his veins. This red Aura was the Second Stage to his Strigoi's Vamperic Legacy, a Strength buff. Leaping through the air Aizawa raised his fist and brought it down on the leading Elf's face in a superman punch fashion. The Strigoi also raised his knee to catch the side of the Elf's abdomen before he could fall and killing it with a solid connection to it's ribs. As the Elf shattered into a thousand shards of light Aizawa turned his burning gaze towards the two remaining Elves before shouting 'Run!' to the little girl, but she was so scared that she fell to her knees, covering her head while crying. "What are you doing, just run!"Aizawa shouted out to her again as one of the Warriors took a swing at him which he gracefully avoided by strafing to the left and then back as the second Warrior made a horizontal swing against him. It seemed the girl was too frightened out of her mind to do anything so Aizawa lunged forward and shoved the two Elven Warriors away and bent down, scooping up the little girl before making a run for it back towards the entrance to the Labyrinth.
Normally, he would just outrun them, but these Warriors had magic at their disposal, so as much as he would of loved to make a bee-line for it, he had to dodge fireball after fireball. With this little girl in both arms princess style the Monk made a dash for it down a corridor on his left, but as he started to turn he quickly stopped in his tracks, almost tripping over himself upon doing so for what lied in-front of him was the pack of five Elven Archers from before. Wow, just his luck eh? With no time to waste he activated his Defense buff from his starter Strigoi racial abilities. This was not good.. Now not only did he have to dodge the fireball throwing manics behind him, but if he manage to make it through these archers then he would be dodging arrows like no tomorrow, praying not to get peppered from behind. Clutching the girl tighter, holding her closer so she wouldn't fall he began to tell her everything was going to be alright and that she shouldn't cry because he was going to get her back to her mother, and that it was a promise and Onii-chan doesn't break his promises. Of course this didn't make her stop crying altogether but it definitely had a positive effect on her for she wasn't crying as much anymore. As the archers began to raise their bows he devised a quick formula in his head and dashed forward before beginning the zig zag pattern he had mapped out in his head to get past them, and it's a good thing he did it when he did because if not then he would of gotten hit from behind by the two fireballs that splattered against the wall that was previously to his right. Thankfully his quick thinking had managed to get them out of that sticky situation for when he got past the archers and they started to turn around, the two Warriors that were chasing him previously turned the corner and ran into their comrades, knocking them all down onto the ground. With a glance over his shoulder and a sly smile on his face, Aizawa let out a small laugh and bolted his a** back to the town of beginnings. [QUEST COMPLETE: The Missing Girl] [exit]

V a l e n t i n e // 30
As if in a dejavu situation, before he could completely exit the place, a new quest popped into his face. He wasn't sure how to exactly accept it seeing as he was a level one newb, but since they came to him it was hard to say no. Once again someone was missing, but this time it was from a nice wealthy family on the outskirts of town. They owned their own manor and everything, and he thought that the payout for this would be grand. But when the application came up he realized what exactly it meant for him. It was going to give him xp, enough for him to level up at least. He found this exciting and accepted immediately, rushing off to where the quest had to be taken place. When he realized where it was he couldn't help but wonder how difficult it would be. Just because his stats were all reset didn't exactly mean that he couldn't use his techniques. This idea pleased him and he was traveling through the labyrinth in no time. Rumors were that the place expanded a lot more then the last time he was in it, and he could clearly see that. The long halls he used to know were now just simple twist and turns he thought he was never going to get through. And when he laid his eyes on the prize, he realized just how interesting this was going to be. The prize was the girl, and since he had only been searching for a few minutes he was surprised to find her so easily. She was tied up, and looked quite frivolous sitting there with her mouth tied. If he was into BDSM, he would be into that. "Well, how is it going?" He was about to complete the quest with a single swipe, but before he could do that, a large being burst from the other side of the hedge and tried to attack him with a butter knife.
Actually, it wasn't a butter knife. It was a lot larger and Valentine wondered why the hell he would mistake it for something so much smaller. But he didn't dwell on it for long, and after deep consideration he decided to work for some money. He didn't want it to end too soon, he wanted to play with his pray and when they were finished he would feel completely calm about the situation. His goals weren't just to get stronger, but to meet friends he could protect. Since he was no longer connected to the real world, he no longer had to think of Jason. The Elven Warrior was distinguishable because of his elvin ears and eyes. It was probably from an old tribe, coming from the lore of the game about how the land used to be controlled by elves. Now that that was different, he realized how much of a pain it was going to be to cut him up slowly, before he could cut him up slowly. The thing swung again, this time aiming to kill. It was interesting that Fardor Avil Online- unlike Sword Art Online- didn't kill people or create mass murder on the first day. It meant the game masters were considerate. All they were doing was taking their entire lives away. This didn't matter to him much, he realized as he took a deep breath and breathed out a fire demon. The warrior looked confused at first, but anyone would be.
It wasn't close to the end. They were playing a little who would go first game, creeping around each other indecisively before making any sudden movements. Elves weren't smart, lets start there first. The thing must of thought that it was an illusion, that it didn't matter, that fire didn't hurt. But this was all a conspiracy, because the minute the monster burst forward with his fist in the air he took a significant amount of health and caught a flame before he could do anything else. He didn't want to watch the thing suffer and burn, he wanted to have fun, so he consumed himself with a typhoon that shot straight into the air but only gave the flames more oxygen. He was stupid at that part. Falling gently to the ground, he got off the train of air. The elvin warrier was preoccupied, so it felt like he might as well complete the quest and then kill the monster. He had nothing to cut the rope with, however, and when he turned to get the big knife from the beast he noticed that he had gotten rid of the flames. He looked like the charcoal he would use to make steak, but he was still alive. One look at his health gauge and he knew it wouldn't be for long. Rising him into the air like a puppet, he kept on rising until he hit the limit. Once that happened, the spell faded. A big crack sounded when the thing hit the ground, and it fell into pixels that would never repair. Using the knife, he cut the maiden loose. "Thank you!" She jumped into his arms and thanked him multiple times, but he didn't think he did anything special. He simply nodded at the NPC, and lead her out of the labyrinth with no problem. Once she was back, safe, with her parents in her big house, he got his xp and left.
There was not much to say about the Labyrinth. It was a miles long expanse of a giant a** maze. Big whoop. Back at the lowest level possible Vox had thought it mildly terrifying but teleportation crystals really took the scare out of a lot of things. There were a loads of monsters that were waiting just around corners, and with the forest zone being so close it was plagued by elves. These were not the fluffy happy santa's little helper type elves or even the civilized blood and night elves from games like World of Warcraft. They were uncultured savage monsters with a variety of weapons. It really did not matter to Elise if they had actually been clowns who's main source of weaponry was water guns and rubber chickens though, experience points were experience points no matter how you swung it. Vox would first wait for Christian to show up before walking on in. "Hey hun, how many people do you think got caught up in all of this? My entire friend's list is on..." Elise was walking with her right hand on the right wall and intended to stay like that until she was forced to take it off. Her pace was casual since there had been little sign of activity from Divinity. Maybe her player had fallen asleep or was not actively conscious. Who knew? Whatever the reason was Vox was not about to squander the chance to get in a bit more experience before having to fight in a raid. She had already seen a few players higher level than herself, and if anyone of those guys were going to be in the first raid with her it was going to suck by a metric a** ton amount. Raids were based off of a standard for the level added on to the highest player level in the group. Someone could seriously d**k over the rest of the party, but maybe Divinity had enough sense to kick whoever tried something like that and let them go through the run on their own. That was a perfectly viable thing to do for any solo player. After the big SAO debacle a lot of people wanted to be the cool guy 'beater' and run through on their own. Idiots. If you wanted to play a game alone why not just go and play a single player? For a moment she walked in on silence while navigating through her menu to find the quest. "Ah, here it is. Alright the quest is the Missing Girl, some child from the City of Beginnings gets kidnapped by Elven Warriors. Our choice how we deal with it so long as the girl gets saved. I'm thinking we bag ourselves some monster kills and boost our levels a bit. Sound good to you?" The only reason the designers had set these creatures inside of the maze was so that new players would come across a number of monsters. The quest was roaming, so it could be anywhere near the beginning, directly in the center, or even on the other side of the maze. Hopefully they had caught it at a good time else they could be here for a few hours. For a few minutes they padded on in silence, with Elise humming a little tune Chris may find familiar. In the real world she was actually a great singer, not that she had tried to make a profession out of it like every single youtuber ever. It was more of a hobby. She was that one person who pretended she was having a solo concert at some grand symphony hall every time her radio was playing in the damned car. And showers? No chance in hell she was missing out on those acoustics and free auto tune. "First thing I'm going to do when I get out of this game is take the meanest shower ever. Want to join? Buy me some chinese food and I'll gladly put out for you, even let you stay the night if you keep the trolling down to a dull roar for this quest." Elise was not overly promiscuous but she was definitely not shy of her sexuality. It was natural and she enjoyed it. Why bother with all the rules and formality of it all had always been her outlook on the scenario. Foot steps up ahead tipped Vox off that something was around the corner. Whatever it was she would take the first shot with her arrow, then let Grayson stretch his legs. Equipping the bow and selecting three arrows. She pointed around the corner with her fingers and held up a single finger; one target. Taking a few moments to listen for the steps of whatever it had been Elise noticed that they stopped. She peaked around the corner and immediately reeled back. A blade flashed where her head had been and a warrior popped up around the edge of the right wall. Just ahead the cries of a girl could be heard. "Grayson! I'm going up ahead!" Vox shouted those words out as she swung her leg forward and caught the elf between the fork of his legs. He let out a groan and dropped a few health points and Elise dashed right past him. She sprinted toward the cries that were growing louder and louder until she found the girl and another Elven warrior. Skidding to a halt, she met eyes with the fancy faced man and carefully nocked an arrow. There was no point in putting in some cool one liner or exchanging dialogue with the mob, it would be the same thing it had been before. Elise let fly an arrow and watched it find its mark; right in the elf warrior's chest. His speed and dexterity were way too low for a chance of dodging the arrow. Vox huffed it over to the girl and grabbed her hand, ignoring the dialogue that had initiated the moment she made contact. She started running it back to where Grayson was so they could get it over with. Elise slowly came to realize that she had taken a wrong turn somewhere. The little NPC girl's hand was still clutched in hers for safety and it was still prattling on. "...and they obeyed the orders of an Elf Queen! So I was really scared-" Did. She. Just. Say. Elf. Queen. Vox quickly spent the energy to activate her Blood Sense ability. The first heart she sensed was her own, which was, of course, rather calm. Most situation she kept her wits about her and this was still low levels. All it took was her reminding herself that there was no perma-death. Even if she messed up somehow and let something kill her she would just spawn back at the nearest safe zone. What would really suck would be that she would fail the quest and have to come all the way back through here to find it again. Elise held her hand out and watched her mana drop by almost two hundred points. Three balls of blood seeped out from her hand and formulated into a slightly larger size. With a wave of her hand the blood grenades floated down to her belt and stuck there. She pulled out another arrow and counted; 9 left. It would be a little difficult to kill the queen, Vox had considerably low damage versus the monster's high defense. There was no question in the matter, she would most definitely have to utilize her grenades. The queen would probably end up calling a few monsters to aid her. Biting at her bottom lip softly Vox found herself smiling. Why waste this chance to dig up some extra experience points? The blood bombs she had created were area of effect damage types. She could easily take out a number of monsters at once and soak in all that experience. Christian being slow was a bit of a drag, he would miss out on some of this if he did not show up in the location soon enough. But there was that raid she had to get in on and this side quest had been a bit of a level booster for her. Grayson would just have to find some way to catch up. If he wanted Elise would be more than happy to run a few quests with him. A strange and familiar sound suddenly invaded her thoughts. It was two sets of heartbeats. Vox's eyes followed the sense down the labyrinth hall. It was too dark to see but there was definitely something th- A roar from some beast shook the area and set the NPC quest girl to screaming at the top of her lungs. Eyes rolling, Elise clamped a hand down over the girl's mouth and jerked her to the side, pressing herself flush against the labyrinth wall. A shrieking woman shot out of the darkness, sitting a atop an armored battle wolf. Speed and Dexterity being higher than the monsters, Elise managed to stick one of her bob-ombs onto the wolf's underside. She turned her body to face them and shoved the girl behind her. The wolf's massive paws touched on the ground and claws dug in to slow it down. Swinging it's back legs around it turned and bared its fangs at her, a low growl accompanying that gesture. The queen raised her hand and summoned forth a few more monsters. One Elf warrior, a grass imp, and...a gnome. Elise almost felt bad as she grabbed the last two bombs and whipped them forward. They had an explosion radius of 5x5 so if she had two around the wolf queen and caught any of the others in the blast this was about to be an easy deal. None of these mobs had stats high enough to dodge. Her accuracy score ensured that the bombs went where she wanted them to. With a bit of willpower pushed forward all of them exploded. The hall was suddenly filled with loud a** bangs as the bombs expanded. Spikes shot outward and impaled the monsters, dropping them for more health than they had. Elise watched her experience points shoot up, but she did not yet click on the level up button. Might as well wait till she finished the quest as well. Vox grabbed the little girl's hand again and sprinted forward, using Christian's heartbeat to find her way out . Once the NPC crossed the maze's exit she disappeared and the quest was complete. "I'm heading to the first raid, Chris. Catch up, okay?" Elise started forward and angled herself towards the raid.
The Gray son was rapidly becoming more and more used to the thought of being stuck inside of this game as time went on. Before long, the anti-SAO patrol of cyber anti hackers, or maybe anonymous, would have them all out, and at the very best back to completely normal levels and what have you. Gray knew the game pretty well before the hack, and he knew quite well how to powerlevel in MMO's anyway, so going from one back to 60 wouldn't take him SUPER long. Still, going back into the Labyrinth was going to be slightly annoying considering he was no longer outside of it's threat range. With elves a plenty, and dungeon monsters he would be quite annoyed by the time it was all said and done. Accentuating this point was that he didn't know if the hackers had done anything to the mission system to make it harder. Either way at least he had some nice eye candy. She broke his near tunnel vision on her a** with her words, and he barely looked away to respond. "Well... the Vampire Trolls guild got reset and wiped, but as far as my personal friends list is concerned... almost everyone is stuck. Pray those who logged out don't come back in..." he off handedly remarked. "A few of them are already level 10... and I'm just lagging behind here. I need to get to grinding." He wanted in on that first raid, and if he was going to reach eligibility he needed to get experience quickly. That way he wouldn't be under leveled because someone powered their way to fifteen and ruined it for the lower guys. That was one thing he hated doing, and why he wished he could have another char. If he didn't grab a full party of high levels, redoing a raid would be annoying sometimes because the lower level characters would be useless, and he would end up ruining their experience. He wasn't in that business. No he didn't alienate people from the GAME, just from himself with his trolling. Also, secretly he was interested in Vox succeeding as well, and with their combined knowledge of the game it would be a quick climb, or so he hoped. Even if it wasn't for some god awful reason, she would be good bedfellows along the way, which would make the whole thing bearable. So Gray puffed smoke from his nostrils figuratively, as he is not a dragon, and walked with his fingers interlocked behind his head. "I seriously cannot stand fetch quests, but in this game at least I get to actually DO things. A quest called Missing Girl sounds like a bad episode of Pretty Little Liars, or perhaps it would be a good episode since that show seems to be a whole lot of buildup just to disappoint you and make you sit through another season. Like at least after season three of The Vampire Diaries, they still have like, actual goals to accomplish and then by the end of the season the problem is either solved totally, or that current issue resolved and the overarching problem, like Klaus being a total c**t, is still on the table." He sighed, realizing he had digressed deeply far away from the topic. "But I mean, if elves want to kidnap girls for slave labor and I get exp for flooring the dumbasses, I am all for it." He cracked his neck a few times and then his knuckles. "You maanged to out level me so far, so I think killing a s**t ton of monsters would be pretty smart. Just try not to go too far ahead." he said with a smirk. With any luck they would find the monsters quickly. He had been through this very maze a few times so he knew just how annoying the wading through it could be. It wasn't even in the least bit frightening the first time for him. He had actually played Gungir so he knew of the illusion of difficulty and fear. Most games simulated horror by forcing you to run away from some "terrifying" thing in a dark room, and feinged difficulty in two ways. Firstly, it could do so by making you... run away from something too tough to kill, or something with auto kill features. Alternatively, it made you wait and duck and dodge for twenty minutes until the creature attacked you and left itself open. Fardor Avil Online managed to tr and do both to somewhat good effect. Most people were scared of the dark and ran away from minotaurs that had a level on them, while waiting for it to turn it's back. Gray just killed them usually. It's just a game, not like he would lose a real life arm or anything. The silence is what annoyed him. But that was broken by the whistling of the Gold Digger National Anthem. He smirked a bit, remembering that she likes to sing. He liked music a bit, unknown to almost all of his guild and friendslist was that he liked to write music in his spare time, though he didn't share it or care about it to be quite completely honest. But such was life, he supposed. "I love chinese food actually. And how about we shower, seperately first. We will stank. And then we can ********, and shower after... together of course. I hope you like swallowing and creampies. And are on the pill... otherwise you're gonna make a GREAT single momma." he joked smacking her on the a**. "And no I wasn't trolling." he would say with a wink. As far as sex went he wasn't like, Austin Powers or anything. He just enjoyed it like anyone else, he just didn't go out hunting for it. He liked his video games, and thankfully you don't c** in real life if you do in the game. It's all in your head. That meant he could have as much sex as he wanted while not worrying about knocking someone up. Under normal circumstances, one would assume that he has much more sex because of that. Gray was no more interested in it now than he was then. He just wanted to play video games. And so when there was an oppurtunity to play, he drew a greatsword and noted what she called out. As she dashed forth, he would finish the warrior before him. He took a few steps, getting into threat range. He placed his left foot behind his right, pivoting with the blade up near his chest to avoid a swing of the blade, and then brought it back around full circle, aiming it at his waist. With a huge amount of damage dolled out in that one attack, the warrior would be cleaved completely in half, reducing it's health to zero and causing it to fizzle into nothingness. He puffed out hot air as he saw the location in which the screaming had come from. It was a a little girl, the one they were looking for. Holy s**t it's almost like they were playing a scripted video game or something! Wow, that is so amazing! What great writing.
