Slice of Life. Slice of Lubchenko. Either way you look at it, this thread is a little piece of the real action of Lubchenko Academy - Home for Supernatural! This is where we look at the day-to-day happenings of the school and take a peek into the lives of our characters when they're not busy creating a traffic jam at the nurse's office, or being forced through magical means to tango with their enemies.
*The events in this forumn follow, and may subtly affect, the events of the main Lubchenko roleplay. If you're not reading that, this may not make sense to you!

All Main Forumn and Guild rules apply here as well, but here are a few guidelines specific to this forumn and ones like it:
[X] Follow the cannon. Anything that happens in the main RP either happened before the events that take place here, or will happen sometime after. There is no changing that, so don't try to finagle your character out of something in the main thread by posting erroneous things here.
[X] Leave the drama for your mama(thread). Sub-threads like this one are a nice place to develop friendships (or rivalries), and things like that. It is not a good idea to have huge, life-altering things happen here. A good rule of thumb is, if you refer to it in the main thread, are readers who haven't read the sub-thread going to scratch their heads wondering Where the heck did that come from?
[X] Yo, where you at? When participating in the sub-thread, please figure out where you're supposed to be, and when. Your character can't very well be meeting for Glee Club on a Monday morning when everyone else is in class, can they?

Everyone is going about their business on a rainy Monday. It is late in the school day during - last period/Club hours. Keep in mind: Last Thursday was Thanksgiving, and Friday was the day of Amir's punishment; This coming Friday is the day of the arena event.

Maren had not had what one would call a good day so far. She didn't sleep well the night before, it was getting colder with each passing day. She fell asleep in two of her classes. The first being History (a class she actually enjoyed), in which she completely missed the announcement that they would be partnering up for a group project. The only reason she knew was because Rumi came to her after the bell to talk about when they should get together to work on it.
She knew he could tell she had no idea what he was talking about. The fact that he'd blindsided her was irritating, but not as much as him having to explain what she'd missed after the fact.
The second class was Math. It wasn't something she enjoyed or had a lot of talent with, and was therefore a class she needed to stay awake for. Her math grade had been suffering the most out of all her classes. It was the last lecture of the day. She'd already been fighting to stay awake since morning, and learning a subject she had little interest in didn't help.
Harley had noticed, just as her other professors had. She thought she'd managed to avoid detention today, but when Harley called her up to chat after the bell she thought that might change. Last week he'd asked her if she was okay. Why was everyone asking that? She was the epitome of okay! The fact that people thought she was unraveling because she was a little tired frustrated her to no end. A repetitive nightmare would not be her undoing, not after she climbed out of that pit of depression to come here and be better. She refused to ever be that pathetic again, and if it was warmer she'd be. just. fine.
And so, when he asked, she blamed her sleeping spells on the temperature of the room. It was cold in there. She spent everyday wrapped up in so many jackets she could hardly move. To say she was anxiously awaiting Spring was an understatement.
But instead of detention, Harley asked if she'd be to Kajin. Maren had, of course. Her visits to the Nurse's Office were becoming more frequent with the passing weeks due to her increasingly dismal performance in Martial Arts. Sometimes she went there just so she didn't have to be around everyone when Amir told her to just "sit this one out".
Harley then recommended she talk to Axel, and all the color drained from her face. Axel, the counselor? Her pride stung. She didn't need mental help! Maren bit her tongue from the angry outburst bubbling in her throat and gave a curt, "I'll think about it," before rushing out of the room, only to find Rumi waiting in the hall by the open door.
Great.
All she wanted to do was sit in a bathtub full of steaming hot water and forget this entire day had happened. She took a deep breath and followed Rumi to the library instead. They had to pick a battle and write a report on the Supernatural influences over the outcome. She could handle that. Working quietly.
As soon as they got there Maren said she was going to look around for something they could use, and headed off down the familiar aisles of books to find information on supernatural wars. If she could have a minute alone to get herself together, maybe she could get through this without biting poor Rumi's head off.
