Name: Tedelsea (Teedee)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Craft/Rank: Apprentice Woodsmith (Carver)

History: Teedee came from a large family, a very large family. Her parents married young and they were both from single child households. They decided to compensate for this by spawning a mass of 13 children. Teedee was number 7 in the long line and her brother came alone 10 months behind her. The family lived in a small hold between Tine and Eron hold, this meant that the people of the hold did brisk business servicing the travelers passing between the two areas. Teedee's family were included in that. Her father ran an orchard full of tasty southern fruits and her mother made the resulting harvest in a whole range of treats including dried fruit slices, pies and juices to sell to the travelers and merchants. They would also occasionally sell exceptionally large harvests to traders to be sold in larger markets.

Teedee's memory of the war are vague at best since the hold has always been able to sustain itself thanks to the bounty of the land and river. When chaos breaks out the hold reacts by becoming more insular, protecting and looking after its own. Once the war ended the hold opened up again and life went on as before.
Trine politics do not bother the people of the hold so All Teedee knows of the rouge queens are stories from the traders that pass through. Fascinating and entertaining for a young girl but nothing that she devoted any great time to pondering.

It wasn't a bad life, all the children pitched in with the work with the older siblings expected to mind their younger counter part, but Teedee wasn't happy. Being fed by stories from traders and having to fight with all her other siblings for any of her parents attention lead Teedee to long for much more.

It also became apparent from an early age that Teedee was an artist at heart, from her first scratchings in the dirt to more complex designs scrawled across the wooden boards in the family home using chalk, charcoal and a splash of berry juice for colour. Unfortunately her talents drew very little reaction from her parents who had to try and divide their affections equally between all their vast brood on top of making a living for the family.

Even when she was caught kissing another girl in the hold the incident was brushed of as 'just a phase'. Yet Teedee still had a bright star in her life something she looked forward to every year. The visit from her uncle. He was a master woodsmith revered for his fine carved furniture that decked the halls of many lords and ladies. From the first meeting Teedee had formed a special connection with her uncle. He had seen her drawings and been impressed, he had brought her a stack of paper and coloured inks and he even showed her the basics of carving. Though for her Uncle it was merely and indulgence. Something that he proved when she reached apprenticeship age and begged him to take her back to Eron hold as one of his apprentices, he refused and told her firmly her place was in the household.

At twelve turns of age Tedee was still discovering her sexuality and values but she was quite sure that she didn't want to be like her mother.

Shortly after her Thirteenth Birthday Teedee hid inside one of the traders boats sailing down the river and ran away to Eron hold. It was not a difficult task, she had chosen a large boat with plenty of hiding space and her parents were so preoccupied with their lives they didn't even realize she was gone until the evening meal.

Once they had docked at Eron, Teedee jumped out of the boat ignoring the startled cries of the sailors and ran through the streets to her Uncles workshop. Her uncle Bretan had a vast operation with a number of apprentices working under him at any one time with journeymen joiners and carpenters beside them. He was not pleased to see his niece turn up on his doorstep. His first reaction was to put her on a boat straight back to her parents but Teedee dodged his grasp and bolted back out into the streets.

That resulted in Teedee's first miserable night alone, away from the crowd and warmth of her family. It made her miss and appreciate what she had growing up but failed to shake her resolve. The next day she returned to her uncle's workshop and repeated her demands. She wanted to be taken on as one of his apprentices or she would run away again. Her threat was not an idle one and resulted in a flurry of flit messages sent between her uncle and her parents. At last Bentan relented, but there would be no special treatment and if she failed to meet the level expected of his apprentices she would be forced home.

With a deal struck Teedee was able to start work. Not only did the girl keep up with the work she flourished and exceeded all expectations put on her. Teedee's stubborn streak managed to push her through the pain of blisters covering her hand and her artistic failures. She loves the feeling of wood under her hands and the pride of accomplishment once a piece is completed.

Over the years she even manged to wear down her Uncle and shift his perspective on women working a craft. Surprisingly it seemed to help when her Uncle found her with the young girl that regularly delivered meatpies to the workshop. He had always kept the fact that he was more than just friends with the local male bar tender very close to his chest.

Her most recent accomplishment was having him consult with her on a sketched design for one of his high profile commissions. Yet Teedee is once again starting to feel the itch to move forward and has started to subtly hint at being moved up to journeyman.

(Will hopefully be searched IC)

Description: Teedee is used to hard work and though she is naturally a small women her body is covered in wiry hard muscle which is likely only to get more obvious as she ages. There is not a lick of fat on her and though she has small budding breasts the rest of her frame would be described as 'boyish' with squared shoulders and narrow straight hips.

Her face helps to soften her over all aesthetic, she's no great beauty but she has soft feminine features with rounded rosy cheeks and natural full lips. Her eyes are half almond shape and an intense blue grey which stands in stark contrast to her shock of black hair which has just enough curl to make it constantly look un-kept. As a result she keeps it in a tight bun most of the time and has at least two pencils and a wood rasp sticking out of it at odd angles.

Because of her work Teedee picks clothes that tend to favor function over aesthetic, tough leathers and solid material is a must. The more pockets a garment has the better as she has a habit of carrying as many tools with her as she can without toppling over from the weight.

Personality:
Sarcastic and Cynical Teedee has more than a few rough edges that people will find themselves having to work around before getting close to the woodsmith. This is not to say that Teedee is unsocial or not friendly but growing up around a large family where a majority were boys and then being settled with the woodsmith apprentices in an all male environment has resulted in a course sense of humor and novel way of communicating with her peers. She is not afraid of punching someone in the arm because they are being an idiot. In the long run, she considers its for their own good. Always happy to join in with rough sports or crude games she can present herself as a bit of a tomboy.

The cynical edge comes from her uncle. Bentan was quick to remove the rose tinted glasses from his Niece. Always count your change twice, don't turn your back on a street vendor and if a guy is being friendly, its probably because he wants to get in your pants. All these lessons have stuck and though Teedee is happy to be amicable with everyone she only has one or two people she counts as 'friends' at any one time. It also takes a strong bond and alot of time to make her drop her defensive sarcastic quips and talk about anything personal.

When Teedee is content she is happy to 'go with the flow' and is open to change and compromise but occasionally she can set her sights on a goal or something she wants, in which case beware, she is stubborn and single minded as a starving dragon with a heard-beast. When this happens (as with her desire to become a woodsmith's apprentice) she won't argue, scream or shout instead she will tell anyone involved what the consequences will be if they refuse her and continue in her conquest until she arrives at a victory often heedless of the damage she leaves in her wake. She has never regretted the panic and upset she caused her family when she ran away, in her own mind she got what she wanted and if they cared they would be just be happy for her. On a lighter note She is also unafraid to work for her goals if they can be achieved without violence, such as gaining the status of journeyman.

Teedee loves her work, she loves creating and seeing wood come to life under her hands. Passion fuels her and she will spend hours on intricate details of any given project that captures her, even foregoing sleep and food to complete it. In other area's however she can fall short. If she finds a task boring or repetitive her tendency is to half a** it and do the minimum she can get away with without being dragged back to redo it. Cleaning tasks are the main victim or her lack luster performances and given her own space Teedee lives in a state of organised chaos.

At her core Teedee is still an artist and a girl, she adores things of beauty. Flowers, art, elegant buildings or a beautiful girl all make her heart flutter. If someone gave her a bunch of flowers she'd blush from her toes to her ears.A baby flit can still regress her to 'awww's and baby talk when no one is watching. Tough as she would like present herself she is far from immune to poetic romantic gestures or sweet words. Girls that find themselves target fr her affections should also prepare themselves for blushing, awkward glances and even the odd sketch or flowers left for them anonymously.

Other:Her uncle was given a flit egg as part payment for one of his commissions that he passed on to Teedee to make sure that she kept in regular contact with her parents however the Blue flit turned out to be a poor courier often giving any written message to the first person he saw when he reached a location and garbling any spoken message horribly. Never the less Teedee is fond of him.
