Areya watched as Dietrich tilted his head looking at her in a strange way. It made her feel uncomfortable to be so at a loss in knowing the world outside of the estate. Sure, she knew what beaches were, what forests were like and all the different creatures that came to the estate were like. But there were times she felt it was unfair to not be able to pass through the fog herself and see everything first hand.
Sometimes when Areya felt really frustrated with her life she would sneak into the forest behind the graveyard and climb the tallest tree should could find. There she would peer out trying to see if she could glimpse anything beyond the fog. Bust as always the fog would always be to high for her to see over, if it was even possible too.
She listened to them tell her the details of what she had asked. And gave a laugh to their description of the women in the bars. She knew of those kinds of women but didn't really know the name for them. She loved to hear when they talked of their father too. He seemed like a wise man if not a bit like his boys and getting into some kind of trouble now and then. This also made her miss her own father a bit and wonder if he was doing well in the outside world. If he planned on coming back for a visit soon, or any number of other possibilities.
But hearing them speak of him gave her an idea. She looked at all three of them in turn and asked,
"Do you think that some day your father would like to take a vacation here? Do you possible think he might like the estate? Because I would like to meet him some day and hear what he has to say about you three." She smiled and tried to imagine what the father would be like between all the descriptions they had relayed to her.
An Interesting man indeed, she thought.
