No strict posts in this one, just ideas that we can streamline later. c:
RANKS:
'Odin' Rank - Ruler. *Needs new name. Or maybe we could keep Odin? Might be amusing.
Odin's Consort:
Not really a 'ruling' rank, but considered the best of the best male warriors, because Odin themselves picked them
'Valkyrie' Rank -
12 of the best female warriors.
Maybe elected during a pride-wide competition, survival of the fittest? Might even be fun to make a meta out of it.
Maybe reshuffle the 12 every 12 months? Have them need to fight to keep their Valkyrie rank?
Consort
The chosen 12 males of the Valkyries. Each Valkyrie is only allowed to choose one consort, and this will be their chosen rank.
Cub rank Maybe a special rank for the cubs born of the Valkyries and the Consorts? Like 'Blessed' or something, because they're the best of the best, from the best warriors on the pride.

Valkyrie
xxx The top twelve warriors in the pride. They answer only to Odin, and it is a highly prized position.

xxx The majority of the females in the pride. They are warriors.
*Male Warrior Ranks*
Shield Warrior
xxx The majority of the males in the pride. They are the equivalent of Shield Maidens.
*Other Ranks
- Healer,
- Hunteress/ Fishers: Females only called Sirens
- Gatherer (to gather stuff from outside of the pride, since they would be pretty lacking in resources in the ocean and beach.): Boys only
- Nanny to watch all the babies the Valkyries make because those ladies have something better to do with their time than care for their young, some may choose to raise their own but the nannies are there for their disposal.
Nessia's edited in thoughts: What if even in the lower ranks like "other ranks we have devision between male and female somewhat? Keep the females are better kinda thing going.
also what about a ranks are the hybrids allowed in... can they be basic warriors or do we want to limit them to just the "other ranks" or is there ranks that only hybrids can hold. maybe they can hold the "other ranks/" plus a rank of their very own.

if one Valkyrie gets domoted (someone else challangers her for her position and she looses) as a perk, the new Valkryie take the old ones consort if she chooses
So the way I see it the consorts MUST be faithful to the Valkyrie that put them there.. but if that Valkyrie is to loose her position he no longer has to remain faithful. So amongst the general population perhaps lifetime mating isnt so much a thing, its more about breeding in an attempt to get offspring that could become a Valkyrie.
Requirements to Challenge:
Can only challenge once every 6 months
Must have 5 Rps completed in the pride, in the last 6 months, to challenge
Must complete the RP
Bloodlines are traced through the mother, fathers are less important (but a good paternal bloodline is good too)

The pride's main location is a cove ("named this").
The entrance to the cove is hidden along a slim line of beach, along sheer cliffs. Due to the heavy tidal flow, the entrance to the pride is often covered by the tide, making it difficult to gain entrance. There are a few hours per day when the path is clear, however, and this is the main period of movement in and out of the pride.
[ It is possible to leave the pride when the tide is in, but it is more precarious, and more dangerous ]
The beach is quite large, depending on the tidal movements, but during storms the water can come straight up to the sheer cliffs.
The cliffs are the home of the entire pride, there are a variety of caves along the sheer cliff which form the dens. There are multitudes of paths up the cliff, leading to different areas. However, there are no paths directly up the cliff to the top, the only way to leave the pride is the path along the beach.
