Since the time of the attack on Laisidhiel her mother had grown even more strict with her and each day was grating more and more on the light valkyrie's nerves. She understood that her mother loved her there was no denying this fact, but she felt like she had no real freedom at all. Before the attack while strict her mom wasn't as bad as now, now she even had a curfew not just a direction to stay in the tree and how to do certain things.

Her mom went to work as she normally did in the morning. Engel knew she'd be back for lunch she always was... Engel waited till her mom was gone then grabbed a shoulder bag and started to load it up with various things, some food, a canteen of water, other staples she thought she might need to 'camp out' and slipped from their nook looking left and right to check to keep out of sight. Last thing she needed or wanted was someone to notify her mom what she was doing. She made her way down to the main level of the Tree and avoided groups of fauns heading for the one place she'd never gone.... the main doors.

"Oh.... f-.fiddlesticks!" Caleigh snapped, refraining from using a naughty word around the other fauns. Even with her more recent return, she found herself with things that had changed, her position stripped of her and rewarded upon a more deserving faun. She couldn't fault herself for that, she wandered off and look what it had gotten her! The apple faun gave herself a sigh as she picked up the fallen basket of apples, freshly plucked. Her antlers rustled as the wind came through, giving her a slight shiver. Although with the weather warm and nothing unsuspecting coming, she enjoyed the occasional wind, provided that they don't lift up her dangling scarves from her red bodysuit. She did hated when they get tangled. The last time, they got tangled up in some brush, and she had to end up either yelling for help or tearing them. Guess which one she did? Tearing! Nope, she cried for help and ended up sitting there for a while before she realized it was just a little stick that was holding onto her scarf. She felt dumb.

"Ok, let's get going!" Caleigh said once more, hefting the heavy basket to the outside world, outside of the great tree. However, moving in the direction there, she was bumped by another faun, in the process, the heavy basket leaned to the side spilling. "AIYE!" she said, tripping over one and hit the floor with a face-plant. "So... not my day."

Almost there! She was going to do it... right? She ducked just a bit to slip out the door, but it didn't work out as planned. She felt the brush of the basket before she felt the bump itself. It took a moment to catch her own balance before she realized exactly what had just happened "I'm sorry" she says quickly and stopping to help the fallen faun up and gather the apples before someone really noticed her. "Are you okay?" she asks quietly. Not this faun's day, wasn't hers either, this wasn't going her way she had hoped to slip out unnoticed completely.

Caleigh looked up when a faun stopped to helped her. "Um, hi," she said, giving a blink. The apples dangling from her antlers shook a bit as she moved to get up to her full petite height. "Um, I never seen you around here before. Not that counts for anything, I just recently returned myself," the faun mumbled, grimacing as she moved to lift the heavy basket. "Is it just me, or is this basket even more heavy than before.

"I'm Caleigh. Who are you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she stared her cloudy grey eyes at Engel.

Engel moved to place the last apple in the faun's basket, "I've actually lived here all my life" she told the apple faun as she set the last apple on the top of the basket's pile. "My name is Engel Segen, I'm Krása's daughter, nice to meet you" she replied softly. Engel's eyes shifted slightly to glance around them, she hoped Caleigh's fall hadn't drawn too much attention. "Do.. do you need help with that?" she motioned the basket, she was raised to be helpful, dang her helpful nature it really wasn't following what she really wanted to do.

Caleigh took a deep breath, shaking her head as she moved to lift the handle of the basket and gave a squeak. "Maybe," she said, breathlessly. "I don't really live here, in the tree. I'm here occasionally. But this is my food for the week," the female admitted, giving a shameful blush which stained her cheeks a light pink. Her white blond hair, which was cut a boy-ish way, was brushed aside with a grimy hand. "I have a little shack I live in, bit of a way from here," the apple faun admitted, giving a blink. "A bed, a little kitchen, and a little fireplace. I am good. I feel bad just living in the Great Tree. I abandoned her for so long."
