My History. . .
Infancy Born to two loving parents in the city of Xi'an province of Shaanxi. Her parents were university professors at 西安交通大学 (Xi'an Jiaotong University) her mother was in the school of medicine while her father was a part of the school of law. Due to having a surplus of responsible students and a lack of time. 美詩 (Mei Shi) was either brought to class and entertained with crayons or babysat by one of the students, as volunteer time. Everyone loved her, she wasn't fussy and laughed all time.
Childhood
XXXXXAs a child in the city of Xi'an she was never bored, the town was surrounded in culture. From the bell and drum towers to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda she was never bored and knew more history than most adults. However she would always pretend to fight with the statue Lady Congsun, a sword-dance master of the Tang Dynasty, or take ribbons and pretend to be learning the art of jian wu (sword dancing)
XXXXXHowever it was her parents who said time to grow up. So at the age of 10 they needed her to be ahead in life. As such they did the hardest thing for a parent to do. They sent her to an American boarding school Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. It. Was. Hell. American kids would bully the hell out of her for broken english when she spoke and being anti-social when she didn't. They would make fun of her name saying it's all about "me" (even if it's pronounced may). Her name gave her a lot of greif as such she googled a similar sounding american name and became Macy to her class mates. Even then, they still bullied her Chinese accent and mannerisms. She had no friends really, just herself. Except one day it wasn't just her anymore. During mid-trimester (the first part) Choate had a new transfer student. He wasn't from China however he was from Russia another non-english speaking country. They were like blood hounds just lunging on him with nasty things. As such the two foreign transfer students banded together, except even Mei Shi found him to be a little... odd... He would never go outside and play on nice days, mostly drank red kool-aid.
XXXXXIt was during winter break when her world as she knew it changed. She was 12 at the time, still just a kid, innocent to the world and all it involved when her world was colored in blood. She caught him taking the life out of a teacher. When his eyes turned on her she froze. She couldn't move the freeze, flight, or fight response kicked in, it was the wrong the response. He turned to look at her with the bloodlust clearly evident in his eyes, but surprisingly he didn't lunge, he was the one who fled. Things were never the same between them again. So in order to bridge the gap between them, the boy called his parents for guidance. The verdict was to turn her. Later that night when Mei Shi was asked for math help he just pined her against a desk and gnawed on her neck. What happened next was a complete blur. That following year was hard on her. She struggled to be the same person, to not eye people the predators, to not get violate when mad. She simply struggled and she had no help getting her act together because she pushed her "friend" away, after all who does that to a person.
Teenage/Present
XXXXX After a year with coping to be a vampire, she still never truly got the hang of it. All she knew was feeding off animals was a joke and didn't work like the movies think it will. Blood banks were a god send and as it turns out a lot of them are for vampires as opposed to human use. None the less nothing could compare to the feeling of taking out the life essence from someone. Mei Shi killed plenty of people like that... including her parents. It was winter break and she was back home. She couldn't hide the truth from them, she was just a kid and and she needed them more than ever. But they freaked out, they wouldn't accept her, they believed a demon possessed her and destroyed the original soul because they're daughter could never be like that. As such they were going to get the priest, scientist, anyone who could make her normal. Except she knew this was her new normal she was stuck like this. When she tried to leave one day her mother came down and tried to force her to say, As such not only was Mei Shi mad but she hasn't eaten in days so she was starved and lunged. When her father came down moments after she knew what she had to do and murdered him too.
XXXXX The rest of her life was rather bleak, she was a street rat, she lived off the now. She drifted constantly for the last few years staying just long enough to select her victim lure him/her into a trap of lust just to be drank dry. Along her way she met others of her kind of course, she learned exactly what vampires and other supernatural creatures are capable of. She found out all sorts of things including that a school for creatures and maybe it was time to end her wandering.

Immortal: She lives forever and ever until some sort of external kills her. Vampires may also stop aging past his/her prime. Mei Shi feels as though she's stopped all cellular division last year.
Speed: Every vampire has a bit of track star to them, However much like how the blind can hear better Mei Shi has no strength as such her compensation is speed.
Enthralling: Everyone has to work for his/her meal in some way, Mei Shi's is just via appeal, she calculates every move to draw one closer. She enchants, perhaps lady Congsun is on her side after all.
Cunning: She did spend all that time at a private school to learn. She spent plenty of time on the streets to adapt and she knows just how to get what she wants.
Ability Weakness...
~ Immortal: Still killable, she just doesn't age, she also heals at a normal rate. It's really nothing to snazzy as people are going to treat her as a kid for the rest of her life.
~ Speed: With no physical strength she can do nothing to stop an oncoming blow (outside of dodging) and it takes multiple hits to cause notable damage
~ Enthralling: It's all in the idea that you don't know better, that Mei Shi just has such riveting natural grace. Upon knowing her intentions it's so much easier to turn away.
~ Cunning: She's only as smart as her surrounding let her be. If she doesn't know something she can't exactly put that into her formulas.
What I like. . .
○ Fencing: Swords demand respect. How could you not give it. Noble, honorable, and skillful, far better than modern weapons.
○ Fresh blood: If vampires could have an addiction this would be it. the feeling of even sinking her teeth into someone is like catnip but so so much more, just pure ecstasy.
○ Sex: Please, like you didn't see this coming. Blood and sex are almost one in the same.
○ Death: She's learned to find comfort in that absolute. That for something to begin it must end.
I really Hate . . .
○ Bullies: She might be a real person with a real future if it weren't for that sort.
○ Narrow-mindedness: If people were just more open to things perhaps she and the boy wouldn't have been bullied. She might not have had to kill her own parents and her life would be different.
○ Prudes: Really, being afraid/uncomfortable to talk about subject gets you nowhere but still in the land of the narrow-minded.
○ Food: Once you've had fresh blood nothing else can possibly compare. Ever.
Other...
NEVER call her "Mei" or "May" it's not her name, it's not cute, and calling someone beautiful (thats what Mei means) is either a complement or condescending, clearly she finds it the later as opposed to the former.
