Because it exists in a multiple space and time there can be more than one being staying in the bedrooms at a time and never even know the others are there. The bedrooms also have another talent of transforming at the whim of the occupant of the room.
So basically, you want a sitting room... it's there... you want a sea side or garden view....it's there....an entire house of your own design.....it's there. I think you get the idea.
-You can start any RP you wish anywhere and set it up like any other RP. It does not have to be about the estate at all times.
-For those joining and existing or under construction RP they must follow the TM's and Gaia's ToS rules.

A History of The Stormbringer Estate.
No one knows how long The Stormbringer Estate has existed or where it originally came from. There are tales told to the Stormbringer children at bedtime, but nothing has been confirmed. You see over sixty generations back the head of the household died suddenly and was unable to share all the secrets of the estate with his child. So what is known today is only what that child knew upon his father’s death and anything else that has been learned by accident or happen stance.
The bedtime stories go as such; there was a man and his pregnant wife fleeing from a shadow that was covering the earth. The estate’s fog presence was near them and could sense they were in mortal danger. It allowed them to cross the threshold into the lands. There the man and woman found a small one bedroom shack to stay in and settled down. They had their child there and were living quite contently for what they thought was about fifteen years, when a stranger showed up wearing some unusual clothes. He asked them if he could stay for a bit just to escape from the outside world and rest. The man and woman were wary of the stranger but still wanted to be hospitable asking him in to their home for tea. As they all entered the shack the man was about to tell the stranger there was no room in their small shack but stopped in his speech once they reached inside. The shack had somehow transformed adding two more bedrooms. The man and woman knew there was magic about the place they were living in but they still didn’t really grasp how powerful until that moment. Figuring it was the will of the land for that stranger to be there they allowed him to stay.
That night at dinner the stranger told them tales of what was going on outside of the land. After hearing the stranger’s tales and his description of the date, the man realized that even though only fifteen years had passed for him, his wife, and son the outside world had actually aged seventy five years. That night he discussed with his wife about taking their son and leaving the land the next day. She agreed to this and they prepared themselves to leave the next day before bed. The next morning they told their son they were leaving. He was not too happy about their decision but knew he didn’t have a choice. They told the stranger they were going to leave and headed for the edge of the fog.
Now the thing is the boy had some secretes he kept from his parents for fear they might not understand and the modern day word would be freak out. He knew ever since he was very little that he had a special connection to the land. He could with enough concentration feel every corner of it, his mother and father’s presence and now even the presence of the stranger who wasn’t exactly as human as his parents thought. He knew that if he needed to he could call upon the magic of the land to do his bidding. He also somehow knew that the land was not fixed to any one place and time and the fog’s gate way into the land could appear to anyone anywhere across the earth to allow them to enter. And most of all this was a place of tranquility and rejuvenation for those that stayed here. The boy wasn’t sure how he knew all this only that he did. This was one of the reasons he didn’t want to leave.
As they neared the edge of the fog the boy felt himself become heavy. It was getting more and more difficult to move his limbs the closer to the fog they got until just before the fog he couldn’t move forward any more. The parents had stepped into the fog but when they realized the boy wasn’t with them they stepped back and went to him. He explained what he was feeling, but at first they didn’t seem to understand. They tried pulling him and pushing him and even picking him up to carry him to no avail. From that moment on they knew, since their son was born on this land he had become a part of it and was unable to leave. They thought they had cursed the boy by having him here but the boy never saw it as a curse. To him it was more of a blessing and a gift.
When they arrived back to their home they noticed there was another stranger. It was a lady who was asking to stay for a bit as well. The father realized the second room that had appeared in their home must have been expecting her too. And that is when he realized his and his family’s purpose here. Since they were the first to be offered sanctuary on this land from the evil outside, he and his family line would be charged with being the hosts to those who came here in need of sanctuary and rejuvenation.
As generations went by they learned many secrets about the land. The most important of which, was the magic of the land itself was almost a living being with its own heart. Then there was the fact that as more people came to stay the little shack began to grow and change also. And the larger it got the more powerful it became. But it didn’t stop there either, the more powerful the land became the more powerful the descendent became as well. In one earlier generation the bond between the land and the child was very strong. This child loved thunderstorms passionately and when she took over after her father died, her love of the storms descended upon the estate and stayed. The magic of this love for storms was then passed down from parent to child, earning the family name Stormbringer.
Another thing about the mansion is with the push of a button one of two things can happen. It will unlock all of the power of the land putting a barrier around the home and negating all magic used close to that barrier or it will open a door. This particular door can appear however the head of the family wishes it to. For most it would look like just a door and frame standing in the middle of a room but once the head opens the door it leads into a secret room where some of the history of the land is stored, from paintings to documents to family heirlooms. Nothing really valuable since the magic of the land provides everything needed. But there is a small vault, which can make money appear for needed items off of the estate. Such as books, clothing, toys, etc… Although it’s never for extremely large amounts and won’t open if it’s for a deceptive reason, like a robbery.
Now all of this history as well as all of the secrets of the estate are kept in the heart of the land. That heart happens to be a very special book. The book appears as any other book in the home with a couple of exceptions. For each head of the house hold it appears under a different name. The book for anyone else who opens it will have the story of what the title is on the outside of the book, but for the head of the house hold only and with the right words said it will open to whatever page is wished for and show its secrets. The book is always in the same spot near the button that opens the secret door or puts up the barrier. For the current head of the house hold Areya, the book is Beauty and the Beast, for her father it was Pride and Prejudice. But unfortunately the actual knowledge of this book is one of the many secrets lost to the family.
There is something else about the book that should be known, it has a spirit guardian named Samarah. But because of the lost secrets and history this guardian can’t appear physically until she is remembered or in a time of need to protect the heart and offer guidance where due. So you may only see her form out of the corner of your eye for just a moment. She is a spirit and a shapeshifter who is kind hearted but fiercely protective of her charge, in this case the heart of The Stormbringer Estate. Samarah also goes by the name Sammy at times and has been known to be very mischievous. This may be part of the reason Areya likes to play pranks as well for although she has never seen Sammy she has always felt her presence and taken comfort from it. In times of sorry it was a warm embrace from unseen arms and a loving influence filling the room making Areya feel safe.
The last thing to note is; for every good there is bad, every Yin has a Yang, where there is something pure there is something evil, and The Stormbringer Estate has its opposite as well. It is known as The Stormbreaker Estate.
