⇨ Akari was born in the Supernatural Realm (aka this dimension). At birth, her birth parents abandoned her in the Living World because a prophet told them that she's destined to have great power. She was then rescued by a couple and raised by them in small town somewhere in Japan. At the age of 12, she accidentally discovered her fire powers, burning down her home and the couple that saved her. She then entered into a contract wtih Alastor, the crimson God. She left the small town and continued on her solitary journey, running into a woman in Eastern Europe, a veteran Flame Haze whose name is Sophia. Sophia noticed how raw Akari's fighting was and decided to help her out, training her more and helping her control her destructive flames and also teaching her to become more lady-like. Sophia persuaded Akari to join an organization she was in, that consisted of Flame Hazes and veteran Flame Hazes and many others. Akari joined the organization and traveled with Sophia to defeat the corrupted Flame Hazes as well as the other monsters that roam the world. Her superiors from the organization gave her a mission to come to Amaterasu.

⇨ Kuro was raised in an orphanage, her "parents" abandoning her at the age of six. She was born as white and cold as the snow that fell on their small town. Her hair and eyes were black as night sky, so her parents figured she must be cursed. They lived in a small village that was very, very religious. They asked for help from the village priest and he told them to cut her open so the demons that live inside her could be released. This obviously didn't work so her "parents" decided to kill her via drowning. That didn't work either and finally deciding all was useless, they left her out on the streets. A lady that worked at the orphanage saw her and took her in. She stayed at the orphanage until a couple of weeks before her 15th birthday. She left the orphanage because it was too dreary for her and she couldn't stand it; she wanted adventure, like the ones she read in books. Well, it didn't turn out like she thought it would. Her first night out she got lost and ended in this strange place where the streets were filled with creatures she hadn't seen before. To make the story short, it sucked and she got badly beaten. An old elf took her in and taught her stuff because reasons and told her she was destined for the demon/ice scythe and sent her on her way here.

⇨ Grace's mother was a blood elf while her father was a demon. When she was born, she was immediately taken away, so she never even got a chance to meet her biological parents. Grace lived with this human couple somewhere in New York. Everything was fine and she thought she was a normal human until she was seven. It was basically a normal day until several demons began to attack their home, destroying everything, attacking her and her parents. After the family recovered from the attack and trauma, Grace's parents began to explain everything. Grace's biological father was being hunted down for marrying a blood elf. At that time, blood elves and demons were having a big dispute. But her father couldn't help but falling in love with the blood elf and vice versa. The two star crossed lovers eloped and lived somewhere in Italy, where they started a new life, even deciding to have a child. But time caught up with them and the demons from Grace's father's realm tracked him down, and just in time when her mother was conceiving her. Grace's biological parents and foster parents were good friends and as good friends, they took infant Grace away to live in the U.S., where hopefully, no demon will find them. Of course, they were wrong. Grace's foster parents took her back to Italy, in hopes to find her biological parents again. But to no avail, they didn't. They have no idea whether her parents were still alive or otherwise. Grace and her foster parents moved to Arizona, and there they began to teach her the magics that her parents knew. But they couldn't teach her much; with human academic education, it was all too much so they eventually had to stop. Everything was once again peaceful. Well, until Grace was about thirteen. She was officially a teenager, and she wanted to go out with her friends, like all teens do. Her parents were dubious, but eventually, they complied. While Grace was out, demons once again attacked her home, only to see she wasn't there, so they killed her foster parents. Grace came home to see her house in flames, and her parents dead. The killers had a smug look on their faces, and this enraged Grace. She began to use what little magic she knew against the demons, in hopes of killing them or die trying. It was a long and hard fight for her, causing her to lose her left eye and earn a couple of wounds and scars, but she managed to kill the demons. Even with her home gone and her parents dead, she knew what to do next. Her foster parents often talked about a magic Academy that helped others in need. So that's where she headed, to Amaterasu Academy. She packed what little remainings were left and headed off, and now, here she is. She cried tears of joy upon arriving at the city, so happy that there were so many people willing to help her. She attends the Academy with goals of getting stronger in order to hopefully find her biological parents.

⇨ Marceline belongs to the prestigious Heartnet family; a wealthy and powerful family. Her mother is deceased and her father constantly works. She was home schooled. She didn't have any friends, only the servants at her large estate which is located a few hundred miles from Amaterasu. Her father always avoided her unless he needed something from her. Her father was cold and distant ever since her mother's death and she hated him for it. She believes that her father never really cares for her and he only cares about his money and business.
⇨ Marceline's mom, Callisto, gave birth to her when she was 19. And when Marceline was around 7, she died because of health problems. Marceline was left by herself in the large mansion and she was always very lonely. She spent most of her free time in the large library, reading. She was around 12 when she stumbled upon a book about magic. Her mother always spoke about magic but Marceline thought it was only fairy tales. When she tried to ask her father about it, he had a cow and told her to leave magic alone. Of course, this only piqued her interest further and so Marceline began looking through the library for more books on magic. She found a couple spell books belonging to her deceased mother. This really confused her because it only meant that her mother knew how to use magic. Little Marceline even tried to cast a spell from one of the books and was actually pretty successful on her first try.
⇨ Marceline kept reading and digging through the library. She eventually found a photo book belonging to her mother. There were pictures of her mother with a whole bunch of people she didn't know. There were also some phone numbers and addresses written down in her mother's handwriting on the back of those photos. Marceline tried to contact one of those numbers and addresses, asking them about her mom and magic. From those people, she finds out she's actually a half-demon (her mom being a demon). She also learned that her mother attended Amaterasu Academy and was a fine mage and that she had a bloodline ability called the 'Cursed Blood.'
⇨ Of course, she was utterly surprised; shocked that her father did not tell her of this rather substantial fact. She confronted him about the matter and her father left the matter at that, not telling her anything else.
⇨ Much, much later, Marceline was advised to contact someone who trained her mother. Her mother's former trainer personally visited Marceline at her estate and they helped her with magic in secret. The trainer taught her a couple of different spells - many defense and healing spells - and even some spells that her mother had created. The trainer also helped her with her bloodline ability (which is blood manipulation). This went on for a couple of months and behind her father's back since he would never ever approve of magic training. Marceline's trainer then advised her to go to Amaterasu for better training and assistance, then left. She pleaded to her father about the matter and the 2 got into an awful fight. After that, she ran away from home. She hated 'home' anyways. She traveled around for a while before finally going to the Academy.
