Sexual Orientation: Yes please. Bi-sexual
Craft/Rank: Fishercraft/Apprentice
History: Ahmenna was born to Hammesn and Kaleeni at Eron Hold, she comes from a family of fishers and weavers. Her life has been pretty stable up until the recent years. She has a handle of sibling, cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family who all had a small holding located close to the bay. Where everyone was expected to pull his or her own weight, Ahmenna learned young how to gut fish, haul baskets, mend nets and everything else related to the craft. Until a couple turns ago, life was good for Ahmenna. Her small family holding went to the see, worked with the dolphins, and tithed to the larger Eron hold. Then started all over again. But then rumors started and security tightened up. The dolphins grew wary and whispered gossip from the northern shores. Though her holding was far removed from the grander scale of Pern, suddenly, there were guards accompanying tithe carts. Dragons came and went quickly across the skies looking for answers to some unknown problem. All the while, Ahmenna grew and watched. Learning to pick up on the dangers of now, not only the sea and wind, but the land and those who lived on it. Then the unthinkable happened.
The revolts took place.
Ahmenna's family went to Eron Hold to defend, at the request of their Lord & Lady. Though they were never attacked, she was drilled along with her cousin, Kharmeen, in basic hand to hand combat and how to handle a knife. Thankfully, everyone seemed to come out of it better than worse. It was during that time that she met with several Trine riders who came to make sure Eron was secured. Though not one who was dragon crazy, it was suggested by green Astarteth that she might try her turn at the Sands next time eggs were laid. Backed by her family, the young woman now heads to Trine to see where her future will take her.
{TIME JUMP}
Ever the hot head, Ahmenna agreed with the murmurs of riders of the lower colors about wanting more opportunities and being able to move up in the world. But she kept her rantings mainly to her cousin. When Sharath's clutch was sabotaged, she had no problems jumping to action and joining the fight.
It was during that second wave that Phiroth went into Flight much earlier than Ahmenna had expected. Perhaps it was the emotions running high or rush of battle but it happened. Ahmenna managed to get her away from the battle rather quickly but was chased after by Malvren dragons. Not by her choice, Ahmenna was found and her dragon caught rather quickly by a Malvren dragon and rider. The event was rather upsetting, even moreso after Ahmenna started getting sick all times of the day. Following her craft traditions, she choice to keep the baby and roamed with a small trader band. Shortly after the baby, a boy, was born, she named him Mennal and then left.
Now 10 turns later, she wonders about the boy she left behind. With the restructuring of the Weyrs, Ahmenna has decided she is best a wing rider and likes where she is at the moment.
Description: Ahmenna is dark-skinned from being outside constantly. If it had to be a shade, it would be sandy beige if not darker on her arms and legs. She is 5'9" with a well muscled build. Not only does she have muscle from hauling nets, baskets, etc. but her stomach and legs are well toned from constant swimming. Her eyes are hazel in color, leaning towards brown and are wide set. Almond shaped with thick lashes and brows, her eyes are often covered by a pair of goggles used to block the sun. She saved up all her marks to purchase these and they are her prized possession. Her hair is a medium auburn that darkens in the winter months and tends to get lighter red streaks in the summer. She keeps it down but it contains a handful of braids in it, giving it a very eclectic and scattered look. Ahmenna normally wears black and dark blues to match her love of the sea. Her most common outfit is a pair of black dyed leather pants tucked into dark blue boots that are tooled for being on the ship, a dark blue loose tunic or bindings, black work gloves with blue trim, her goggles and a necklace made of white shells that was given to her as a gift.
Personality: Ahmenna was born during a sea storm and her parents say she takes her temperament from that. She is passionate and fiery, often speaking first and regretting later. But because of this, she is blunt and to the point, not wanting to waste time to mince words and play games. She gets along with her family but is extremely cautious and wary of all strangers, even Trine's own riders. Having the last 15 years of her life shaped by turmoil, she will not give her trust easily but will follow the orders of her elders and higher commands. Ahmenna has learned that on a ship, everyone follows the Captain and the ship runs right.
Because she has ship discipline drilled into her from a young age, Ahmenna will always pull her fair share, if not more of work. She will work with anyone, even if she doesn't like this person, because again the task has to be done. She is reliable, steady, and someone to be counted on when no one else is around. Ahmenna is not squeamish nor is she dainty, calling herself on the occasion (before whers went into bad light), a wher worker.
Outside of work and duty, and with her closest friends and family, Ahmenna can be more loose. She loves to sing and loves to learn, making sure to be at the hold or asking permission to go to Gathers just to hear the harpers sing. She also loves to swim and be active. Playing a game of dragons & felines? Ahmenna doesn't mind keeping the youngsters busy nor does she mind helping out those who are somehow less than her. One for all and all for one means a hold is healthy and well run.
Virtues: Hard working, thorough, steady (not easily rattled by new tasks or places), reliable, patient (when it comes to completing a task), honest
Vices: Prickly, suspicious, cautious, blunt, moody
The Dragon... Phiroth!

Egg Name: The Brown Egg
Egg Description: This egg is brown. To be honest no one could really come up with another way to describe it, placing your hands on this egg gives you the impression that the dragonet inside is merely staring at you blinking. Maybe its just confused about what happening or maybe its just not very bright, Either way it's simple name reflects its rather simple seeming mind and simple earthy colored egg.
Egg Clutch: Suunath
Name: Phiroth
Colour: Green
Size: Below Average
Build: Average
Personality: While not the cleverest dragon of the bunch this hatchling makes up for hee short memory with brute strength when it comes to getting things done. It's not unusual to see her snapping, growling and bullying her way through a problem. In her mind, she sees no problem with her actions. Only the strongest and best should rule after all, however when confronted with someone whose fierce temper and strength can't best it's not unusual for Phiroth to throw a fit and sulk. Luckily, her unusually short memory lends to Phiroth forgetting her failure fairly quickly and it's not long before she is right back at it again. A determined and stubborn dragon there is nothing Phiroth won't do to get what she wants. Despite her more brutish nature what this dragon wants is usually her rider's happiness. However with how hard Phiroth will push her rider and how often the rider will be called to restrain her... that fact may be a bit hard to believe. However this dragon's courage will take her far though Phiroth's rider will have to keep an eye on her habit of underestimating her opponent. Loyal to the bitter end those who do befriend this dragon make a friend for life and once befriended it'll be hard to convince this dragon to abandon her companions. While perhaps not the thinker, Phiroth is certainly is a doer and will throw herself into whatever plan she's decide to go along with with as much enthusiasm as the person who came up with it.
After all while this dragon's loyalties, courage, and strength may never be called into question it's logic might. What Phiroth wants Phiroth takes and what she happens to like best is pretty things. Especially pretty humans and pretty dragons though with the Weyr frowning on the kidnapping of other dragons and riders, this dragon instead resorts to collecting anything it deems 'pretty.' This can range from shiny rocks or bits of metal to pieces of art and fine cloth. While the dragon itself isn't particularly vain she simply likes to keep about her. Things, Phiroth considers pleasing to the eyes even if her collection comes off a bit more like a horde then the art gallery. This dragon takes in trying to display their things. Woe upon those whom happen to insult her collection since any criticism about her odd habits will be met with a possessive roar and a long winded screaming match. Her inability to 'keep' pretty people and dragons though won't stop this dragon from making it a point to 'collect' them by surrounding and trying to endear itself to those it finds physically pleasing to the senses. These friends however will be guarded jealously and it'll take a good deal of work and quick thinking by rider and friends alike to convince this dragon they're not being slighted.
Why Me?Storms don't hold a candle to the fury these two can bring onto a target when the time comes, both rider and dragon share a tempest like temper that can flare an die on a moments notice. Much like Ahmenna prefers to get to the point and not waste time fleshing things out with pretty words, Phiroth prefers to bull through a problem with brute strength. Ahmenna's knowledge of the need for and desire to follow the chain of command means that she might find herself restraining the green often - but that's just what Phiroth needs to be successful in life. Both dragon and rider are hard workers, willing to pull their share of the work and loyal to a fault which will make them an asset to any wing in the future.
Ahmenna need never fear strangers with Phiroth at her side as this dragons courage will be enough to see both of them through life's challenges although the riders suspicious nature might well keep the dragon from biting off more then she can chew now and again.
