This is In Harmony

Harmony has a little grove in the swamp that is a special slice of heaven for all the familiars that walk, crawl, swim, slither, and fly across all the lands, sea, and sky in the world. Animals in this place don't fight, hunt, or harm each other, no matter their tendencies to do so in the rest of the world. She seems to have the ability to talk to any animal, no matter the type and most animals seem to trust her after only a few moments together.

Harmony is particularly protective of her grove and as such, doesn't get out much. She's also a little abrasive, a vegan, and has a whole lot of trust issues, so she's weary of any kin that happen through her part of the swamp. But she's heard stories of fantastical new beasts that have sprung up all over the world and she's very keen to befriend one of each!


She is also the one who discovered the Flox.
As flox are very territorial and wild little beasts who only join together long enough to mate, occasionally small clusters of flox escape the grove and into the world when there are too many running around and they begin to terrorize each other and other animals.

It is said if you happen to impress In Harmony or happen to have a brand new creature she could befriend, she'd be willing to talk one of the small balls of fur and teeth into accompanying you. But it would have to be a pretty damn good impression or a pretty damn impressive animal.

About Flox

Flox are extremely territorial creatures. They do not abide sharing terf, even if the terf happens to be another kimeti. It's cautioned that no kin should keep more than one flox because of their lone nature. Two flox are likely to fight often and brutally until one is run off or killed. They are wild little creatures, vicious and practically un-tamable. These creatures will not help you in tasks or to find food or any such sort of thing. They will take care of themselves first and foremost*. A flox only stays with you because you belong to it, not the other way around.

*it will totally eat you if you die before going off and finding a new territory for itself.

The size of a large house cat, they are tiny omnivore buzzsaws with exceptionally sharp teeth and claws, fluffy coat and large almond eyes. When angered, they make sharp little barks, growls and deep spitting hisses. It is advised that you don't approach an angered or scared Flox, even if it is yours because they will attack if they feel threatened no matter who or what it's feeling threatened by. A quiet flox is a content flox. If you manage to form a deep bound with your flox, it will protect you and you will be treated to hear it's soft melodic purr.

Flox mate very, very, very rarely. They are more likely to maul each other then mate.

TL;DR - Flox can tear your face off, will eat your corpse, and keep living it's own little floxy life. Do not cuddle! Repeat: Do not cuddle!
