The Botanica Coffeehouse
The Botanica Coffeehouse is located in one of the quieter districts of Vancouver. Sitting just downstairs of a classic record shop and music store, this establishment celebrates diversity in art and its customers. Many tables litter the center of the cafe, with one corner furnished by an array of booths for comfort. All of the drinks are served in floral printed cups and glasses, with dim-light lamps on every other table, flowers on the ones left otherwise empty. The counter, normally staffed by a fresh young face, also takes orders for baked goods- not cakes or those sort of bakery items, but small cute things like rolls, cupcakes, croissants, muffins, cinnamon buns and cookies.
The Coffeehouse's layout is centered around a little stage for the artists and actors who frequent its district. On any given night you can enjoy a pleasant blend of music, theatre, comedy, or dance- and every weekend the mic is open to anyone brave enough to take to the stage.
