----Basic Information----

Mind behind the Character: Spreader of Malice
Name: Vincent Hope
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, due to being exposed to a highly unstable world, whose time moves faster than normal, but he appears to be at least 17.
Personality: Of all Divine's children, Vincent is often considered the most emotional and expressive. Perhaps it is due to him being the only one of the three that is actually part human. Vincent's personality is a reflection of his own twisted madness as well as his emotional instability. When he was just a toddler, Vincent displayed a strong sense of justice and kindness. He feared violence and fighting, he did not want anything to do with it, in short, he was a pacifist. Not to mention a momma's boy, always being coddled and doted on by Charlotte. This made Vincent a little awkward when he is around Charlotte's friends or even his older sibling's partners. Vincent was a kind and gentle sorcerer, never once did he use his powers for evil, he only saw them as a way to help others. However, as he grew older, unbeknownst to Charlotte and Mirai, Vincent had discovered the origins of his birth, meaning he learned the truth about his father. Upon this realization, Vincent began to change, no longer did he shy away from a fight or fear violence. No, he was now a proud warrior, who trained constantly to become like Divine. This made him look towards Mirai and Atticus not as siblings or rivals, but as obstacle that he must overcome, to truly be the strongest. Vincent has begun to distance himself from Mirai, seeing her as his enemy, she was gifted with demon and witch blood, she was too strong and he envies her. This led to him starting to ignore her whenever the two are in the same room. His relationship with his mother is still the same, albeit a little more mature, he respects both her and Atticus and does anything to gain their approval. When he is around those he truly cares for or trusts deeply, he shows a courageous and strong attitude. He will protect them at any cost, he would gladly risk his life for them and trusts that they would do the same. He shows love and compassion to his mother and has begun to show compassion towards the girl named Reina Star, his first true friend. When he enters battle, Vincent displays a different side of himself, usually he is very emotional and expressive, but once he enters a fight, all of that goes away and a more calm and analytic person emerges. He watches his opponents moves and reaction logically, every decision he makes in battle, is calculated to the "T". If anything, this was possibly the one trait that he and his father shared.

History:
Vincent was born of the human Divine Hope and the witch Charlotte, making him a half-breed, part human and part witch. Being born a male, Vincent is quite rare as this made him one of the few sorcerers in the world, born through natural means. While still just a little child, Vincent learned how to use magic from his mother, she taught him most of his dark magic as well as introduced him to his second magic, which was given to him by his mother. It was at this stage in his life that Vincent accidentally overhead other witches talking about his father Divine, this is how he discovered who his father truly was. It would be a few days after this, that Vincent approached Atticus, his older brother, and sought training from him. During this time, he and Atticus bonded and became very close to each other, so much so that Vincent told Atticus of what he heard and Atticus in return, told Vincent everything about his life and how he was connected to Divine. The two really connected as brothers and became a close and powerful team. As of reaching the age of twelve, Vincent would finally leave the safety of his mother's world and enter the Death City.

Upon first entering Death City, Vincent ended up falling into the home of Black Star and that is where he first met, Reina Star. Their meeting may have been accidental, but through it, he was able to learn more about Death City and she even took him sight-seeing. After spending a few hours with Reina and seeing the City, Vincent would return home to his mother, and tell her all about it. In his first visit to Death City, Vincent had already made a friend in Reina. The following weeks, Vincent continued to visit Reina and tour the city, the two really became close friends, despite the age difference. However, this fun and happy time in his life would come to an end, when he, Atticus, Mirai and her partner, Eric, and another of Atticus' friends, all decided to go away and train, as they needed to grow stronger since their defeat at the hands of some unknown being. The place they went to, was a world where time flowed differently, one day in the real world would be a full year in that world, due to them spending approximately five days in the real, the group would actually spend five years in the other world, making them all five years older.

After the training had ended, Vincent found himself back at Death City, once more. This time, he was much older and his feelings for Reina had matured and blossomed with him, however he has yet to truly acknowledge them. It was also during this time, that he jealous towards Mirai grew stronger as well. During their training, Vincent could see how powerful Mirai was and how far ahead both she and Atticus was, compared to him. This made him angry started him down the path to darkness. It would not be until his and Atticus' capture and imprisonment by the Machinists Order, that Vincent jealous evolved into hatred and the hatred evolved into something else, something darker, as Atticus was slain in front of him. Vincent blames this all on Mirai, stating that none of it would have happened, if she had not been around, that she was better off dead. Departing from the collapsing airship, Vincent found himself lost in the darkness, with only his mother, her dolls and Reina there to keep him from truly losing it.

While thinking to himself about everything that had happened and his relationship with Mirai, Vincent would issue her a challenge. He wanted to face her, he wanted to avenge their brother and punish her for all she had done. So, the siblings would meet at the Valley of Hidden Truth, where a marvelous battle took place. However, the outcome was already known. Laying on the ground, bloodied and near exhaustion, Vincent would stare up at his sister, hatred deep in his heart and mind. That was the day, the siblings parted way. Still laying there, Vincent would be greeted by an unknown figure, she would reach out her hand at him and offer him a place, a family.

----General Information----

Race: Sorcerer
Family (If none leave blank): Atticus(Deceased), Mirai Hope(Sister), Divine Hope(Father), Charlotte(Mother)
Soul Protect: Activated
Grimoire: [X] Vincent's grimoire was discovered by him and his mother while they were training one day.

----Abilities and Techniques Information----

Holy Darkness
  • As the first memento of his father, Vincent was gifted with Divine's ability to wield darkness. With this darkness, Vincent is able to perform and construct all sorts of complex weapons, tools, etc. After his training with Atticus, Vincent's control over this ability has only increased. Whenever he uses his darkness, small sparks of black energy appear around him and begin to form tiny particles or fractals of black energy, that lingers around his body. His darkness, having come from his father, is far denser and evil then most. The black particles emit an almost dominating and somewhat murderous aura around Vincent, because of this, many beings that are far weaker than him, typically keep their distance. The unique properties of this ability, allows for Vincent to corrupt others with his darkness, either making them more susceptible to madness, bringing forth the darkness in their souls. It can turn the purest of hearts into the cruelest beings, which is why Vincent has learned to keep that part in check, as to not affect his friends and loved ones. In order to produce truly powerful techniques, Vincent must recite an spell or incantation from his grimoire, though for the basic transportation or construct, he does not need to rely on his grimoire. Thanks to Despair. Vincent's darkness has begun to change into something else. No longer is it just darkness, there are now traces of Despair's holy light energy in it as well. Thus making it even stronger. As of now, Vincent has not been able to fully control or grasp the complexity of wielding this "Holy Darkness" as he calls it, so he sticks to using just darkness.

Thorn Magic
  • Just as the name suggests, Thorn Magic involves the creation and manipulation of thorns. Through the use of several hand gestures, Vincent is able to create, as well as manipulate, thorns at his will. The thorns are powerful enough to strangle and, at the same time, severely damage opponents, making such ability effective for punishment. Vincent is able to make the thorns tangible and pass through the body of a target and instantly make it whole, causing severe damage. The thorns can also act as a barrier or defense of some sort, being able to take on several attacks before finally giving way. What Vincent creates, however, is not limited just to thorns and vines themselves; he can also manipulate their form to take the rough shape of thorny vines and use it to shield himself from harm, and can even fire off projectiles in the same manner. Additionally, he can create a highly destructive explosion whose core is in the shape of rose petals.

Telekinesis
  • This is Vincent's first and as of now, only, original ability that he has discovered on his own, while with Atticus. It is a fitting ability, seeing as how his older sister, Mirai, has the same thing, but how they use it differs greatly. Being the more calmer and rational sibling, Vincent has found a way to use his telekinesis to its fullest. Vincent is able to levitate himself and other objects and form protective shields to protect himself and allies from attacks. Through an impressive use of telekinesis Vincent has been seen controlling a numerous amount of objects at one time. The pinnacle of this is seen with him constructing a large barricade in order to protect himself by manipulating the thousands of materials needed and piecing them together in under a minute. Usually in battle, he uses his telekinesis to keep his grimoire around him in a barrier and such.

Blood Magic
  • After departing from his home and all he ever knew, to join Noira and the Blackwings, Vincent had taken a liking to Noira and began to idolize her. She was strong and confident and her Black Blood embodied her perfectly. So, out of respect and admiration to her, Vincent chose to delve into forbidden magic, one that could show his resolve, in this case, there was no other forbidden magic that embodied his resolve, than Blood Magic. It is similar to how Noira uses her Black Blood, but is severely limited and comes at a heavy price for the user, which is Vincent. Blood magic is the magical practice of using blood, life itself, as a potent fuel for magical spells. The blood is supplied by Vincent, thus it takes a toll on his body. Through the use of Blood Magic, Vincent can construct various objects, hardening the blood to make them as sharp as still or he can use it to cause his wounds to close up, form wings and such. However, if using his own blood offensively, Vincent will be in pain constantly and suffer from anemia and pass out. Because of the risks, Vincent rarely uses Blood Magic except for when he needs to heal himself or if there is no other choice.

----Miscellaneous----

Hobbies:
  • Vincent is constantly researching new spells and magics that he can add to his grimoire, as such he reads a lot.
  • From time to time, one can see Vincent tending to the various flowers that he has. He has taken up gardening as a way to relieve some of his stress and anger.
  • Just like his brother, Vincent has been seen simply gazing up at the clouds in the sky. A habit that seems to run in the family.

Likes:
  • Deep down with him, Vincent still loves his family, though his actions doesn't prove it, there still exist some light in his darkness.
  • Flowers, especially, starflowers, which meaning is to "leave" or "divide in two" which symbolizes his relationship with his family.
  • Calmness.

Dislikes:
  • Those that think less of him because of his human half.
  • The hypocrisy in the world.
  • Loud Mouths or rather, overly talkative and annoying people.

Skills/Attributes:
  • Immense Speed and Reflexes: Vincent's speed and reflexes are impressive, enough for him to close great distances in a blink of an eye and dodge swift attacks. In order to have better adapted to the training method's of Atticus, Vincent started to learn how to better control his dark magic and send it circulating through his system, allowing him to transfer some to specific parts of his body, including his legs as he is able to nearly keep up with Atticus' speed, almost being able to catch up to him in training. After their training, Vincent's speed has doubled, he is slowing becoming more and more like his brother.

  • Enhanced Endurance/Durability: Due to his many months of secretly training with Atticus, Vincent was put through pure hell, similar to how Divine trained with Atticus Mirai. As he went through this intense training, Vincent's endurance and stamina increased greatly. He went from being unable to stand a single punch from Atticus, to being able to last at least a few hours in battle against him. Vincent's resilience to pain also increased, being able to endure more damage then most witches of his age and caliber. His durability enables him rise from attack after attack after attack on numerous occasions, more often than not surprising and confounding his foe, striking fear into their hearts.

  • Immense Madness Wavelength/Aura: Being a child of Divine and Charlotte, it is shown, without a doubt, that Vincent has an incredible amount of madness within him. Before his training, Vincent could not control this madness and unintentionally affected those around him. Causing lesser demons and witches to be consumed by his madness, which inevitably led them to attacking humans. As of now, Vincent has natural control over the exertion of his madness, keeping it contained to the point where it is virtually impossible to detect his by normal means, though the constant effort can be taxing.

  • Genius Intellect: Even at such a young age, Vincent has shown himself to be intelligent, analytical, perceptive, and deductive. When in battle Vincent is able to calmly determine the pattern of his opponent's battle methods and correctly deduce a proper counter-strategy to defeat them. As shown when he was with his mother, Vincent can easily understand intricate concepts and theories that most can not. He is able calmly and rationally observe an opponents movements in battle and relate them to his or her personality and deduce the numerous outcomes of their behavior.

  • Hand-to-Hand Combat Expert: Due to the rigorous and intense training that he had undergone with Atticus, not to mention his own personal training, Vincent shows immense power in the ways of hand-to-hand combat, those who have the unfortunate fate of fighting him; and he is a highly powerful and fierce fighter. His skill in unarmed combat is drastically enhanced by his inherent immense strength, giving him the ability to unleash devastating blows with ease. His preferred way of striking seems to be punches, though he has often used kicks as well. When in battle, Vincent makes most use of his powerful arms and fists to take on his foes, with his specialty lying in punching moves where he uses his fists to their fullest. Combining this with his darkness magic, Vincent is able to unleash powerful blows that can lead to bones breaking or internal organ damage.

Dreams and Aspirations:
  • To one day make his mother proud of him and be worthy of the name Vincent Hope.
  • He hopes to catch up to his sister and brother, to stand as equals.
