Keahi barked orders out to his crew as they prepared to land back in the world of Pockettu, having spent untold time in space trading and traveling. But as much as the Captain loved the outside worlds, he grew tired. And angry. As much as he was excited to have a loving Goddess to follow and serve, showering her with gifts and trinkets from other worlds - she no longer responded to his calls. Not to mention his mate vanished and couldn't be located. As they docked at a busy port, Keahi disembarked and took over looking at the inventory as it departed his ship and snapped out more orders to where the items were going and clarifying payments to the clients.

Dervire was simply in the right place at the right time to see the ship land and the crew disembark. He was sitting on a box gnawing on a pizza crust someone had thrown away. His tail flicked as he considered the crew, looking over each one as they wandered about their tasks. His eyes did lock on Keahi. His scowl was what caught his eye mostly. He looked unhappy, and that was always a good start for a conversation.

The colorful being kept barking out orders, only halting to grumble over the next page for a moment. He finally got his ship all cleared out with record timing and slapped the paperwork to his nearest crew member before sauntering off to the nearest bar.
"We'll be docked for some time, wander off as you please. But if I page the embark call, you better get your asses back stat." Keahi passed by the cursed without a care, but he did sense him slightly - the hairs on the back of his neck raising just enough to bug him.

As Keahi passed him by, Dervire shoved the rest of the crust into his mouth and pushed off from the trash can to take up following the other. He was ill tempered wasn't he? Dervire took no steps to be stealthy about the fact he was following Keahi. he knew, a man as grouchy as this was going to snap at him, and that would give him a better opening then trying to be friendly and manipulative. Honestly, he wasn't Mastermind!

Keahi only briefly noted the sensation of the cursed lingering, but paid no heed to the creature. His palette beckoned to be wet. Entering a favorite bar of his he seemed to lighten a bit once inside, but more of comfort than a peace of mind. He took a moment to allow his eyes to adjust to the difference and scanned the room. The barkeep looked up to see the red skinned male enter the room and let out a shout of joy, "Well I'll be damned! Captain Keahi! Get your a** over here, man! It's been a looong time since you were docked!" He shooed off a half drunk patron off a stool and prepared a couple shots for the traveler. A grunt escaped his lips before he made his way over, still the same boisterous barkeep of course. The man never failed. He took his seat and downed the first shot quickly, clinking the glass down on the counter and sighing."Travels going bad?" "Not...bad. Just lots of things going wrong at the worst times." He grunted again and downed another shot. "Get me something to eat. I lost my good chef and had to replace him halfway back. Space madness got him. Shot himself." He rubbed his face and sighed, really it was his fault a lot of his crew got space madness and either had to be put out of their misery or offed themselves...he kept them off land for too long.

Dervires eyes adjusted easily to the interior of the bar. His nose twitched but he continued to follow the red skinned pockettu. When he sat down, Dervire grabbed a nearby stool and plopped down as well. He didn't bother trying to get anyone's attention as he focused on listening to the exchange. He tapped a claw on the counter top and pondered if he needed to know more about this mans troubles. Just knowing he lost a chef was hardly leverage enough to get him to change his loyalties.

The barkeep chuckled at Keahi and sent an order to the back, already knowing what the captain wanted. He glanced at the newcomer to the side and walked over a moment, "Can I getcha' anything?" Keahi let the barkeep do his job, but he did tip back another shot while he waited for his return. He set the now three empty glasses away from him, upright for a refill, and rubbed his face again, twirling a silver ring and odd triangular stone that was on a chain around his neck.

Dervire glanced at the barkeep and gave him a slight grin. "Water for now." He stated, then turned his attention back towards Keahi. "Thats a unusual necklace for someone who dresses like you do. I am betting you carry it around because you have to."

The barkeep brought Dervire his water, filled Keahis' shots, then left the two alone to chat while he sauntered off to tend to other patrons. Keahi shot a glance at the creature, taking in that this was the cursed that he felt before. These creatures were so brave now, walking the streets like nothing mattered anymore. He rolled his eyes and took another shot, setting it down a little harder than intended. Looking down at his necklace, he realized he'd pulled it out and was fiddling with it.....again. With a sigh he tried to shove his words down, but failed - already kind of tipsy. Gravity is different when drinking - had more of an effect.
"Unusual. Heh. I guess. I serve the great Fae Goddess and carry her trinket with pride while she ignores my calls of servitude from across the galaxies - trading to better serve her greatness." He throws his hands up in the air, "To make matters worse, my beloved mate doesn't answer my calls either, even when he knew I was traveling far for her ladyship." He lets out a grumble and downs a fifth shot, making a face as it went down bitter. "I should have tossed these trinkets into deep space when I had a chance...pointless to me now."

Dervire took the water and sipped at it. He listened to the anger in Keahi's words. So not only was his Goddess silent, but his lover too. "Whew. Well thats a bit of a b***h isn't it?" He commented as he took another sip of water. "You know it's not too late. To toss those worthless things aside I mean." Dervire glanced up at the ceiling as he grinned slightly. "Some Gods are more attentive then others. Some Gods would be more appreciative of your hard work. It's clear that you struggle and don't look for a easy patting on the head."

Pausing in mid sip of his now sixth shot, Keahi looked the cat thing over again. What the heck did he mean? "Well, obviously I don't look for the easy route. I've always been a hard worker. Having access to the outside planets makes things.....interesting." He brushes his hair out of his face and sighs again, leaning over to place his head down on the counter.
