[♛]VAMRAAK EMPIRE[♛]
Welcome! below you will find the membegroups and playable species in Vamraak. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to quote me.
ROYALS
Royals are very easy to know and understand. They are the rulers of Vamraak. They are human or gifted with such powers however it's restricted for heavy usage. After all, not even the rulers are safe from people who wanna curse others. Please keep in mind that only those within the ruling family ( Emperor Vamraak, Empress Valezka and their children Oiselle/Kosarro) can be in this member group. Family related to the royal family is also allowed.)
NOBLES
Much like the royals, nobles are easy to know and understand. Council Members and even your Knights who've been Knighted by the crown. Those who fall into this area are nobles recognized by the crown. Wives and children of guards who have been Knighted will also fall under here.
GUILDS
There are going to be your traders and organizations such as cavalries who don't work under the crown; or even your thief guilds. Traders guilds can fall under here, too. Any species can fall into this category.
GUARDS
Guards can guard just about anything. This is a very vast member-group. Those who aren't knighted by the crown are guards and fall into this area, too. Knights are men and women recognized for outstanding work and performance (aka saved someone important or saved a lot of lives during a battle). When Knighted, they are given a title of "Sir or Dame" and also given land so that their families are now of noble blood.
CITIZENS
Citizens are your normal people who have no nobility about them. They aren't in guilds; they may work on a farm, or work as a merchant. The ideas for occupations in this member group are endless, but one thing is certain. Those in here do not have any noble blood, and if they do, they may not know about it.
SERVANTS
Servants are those who are stuck in servitude. Their families are often poor and being in servitude is the only way to bring in any money for their household. You can work in the castle or work for a noble in their household.
WANTEDS
The Wanted are the known criminals/rebels; those who have been labeled as such and are wanted by the crown. Often these are those who are chaotic evil and don't recognize the crown as the ruler.
OUTLANDERS
Outlanders are those whose home isn't in the Duality District. They are stuck in impossible for them to leave in the winter vortex or another situation. They can be from any land, to be quiet honest. If they are royalty from another land, they will be in the royal group but hold not jurisdiction for the law or hold the ability to rule in Kingdom of Duality
SPECIES.
Please Note: This is just a guide to all the known races within our guild. You can role-play as your own.
Dark & Light Witches
Dark witches are dark humans who wield magic They hold their own hierarchy and ignore the typical social statuses. They are considered chaotic evil or neutral when it comes to sides they are loyal to. They hold their own religion in their minds, their chosen goddess being Thima. They hail to a Queen of the Night. She is often elected in or has killed the prior leader and demanded allegiance.
Alternatively there are light witches. They often refer to Empress Valezka Vamraak as their leader. They often want nothing more than for people to see that there is good to magic. And it's often only light witches are gifted with a Spiritus (and thus become a Divus). Light witches are doing what they can to make people see the good in magic users. It's an uphill battle that they are fighting every day. However, a lot of light witches are enslaved as servants to a lot of lords and ladies throughout the Kingdom as the Kingdom's way of trying to keep them on a leash. Though, this isn't supported outright by the crown.
Given the current state of the Kingdom, it's not uncommon for a witch to come off as human so that people do not know they are a magic user. It's the only way sometimes to ensure safety for their lives and for their families as well.
Divus: Or often called Spiritus, are witches who have a spirit animal. Not all witches have one, but those that do are often light witches. Fate gifts them with a spirit animal that is most like them and with that their spirit animal manifests as a familiar to the witch. Witches often can see through the eyes of their familiar, a more controlled and practice witch may actually control their familiar far beyond looking through their eyes.
Neathlings: An ancient race that has been around for centuries however near extinction - The Neathlings had their connection to ELEMENTAL magics severed (water, fire, earth and air) -- their connection to other forms of magic remain intact, but weakened considerably. To make up for this, they've become quite adept using Artificing and Chemistry to make a sort of magitech way of life. It's entirely possible for them to construct potions or some kind of technical device that restores their connection to magic entirely for a limited time (such as the duration of a fight), but there'd probably be a price to pay for that. Another species that resides underground, the Neathlings have largely remained beneath the surface of Govyr in incredible subterranean metropoli. The origins of Neathlings are a hazy thing - the earliest records they have of their own society date back to the Primal Age, when they were apparently cursed by a powerful Elemental because of some terrible taboo they violated. They were driven below the ground, and began to craft the Deep'neath, which became their home. They enslaved the Minotaurs at some point, using their brutish strength to aid in digging further and deeper down through the crust of Vahst. By the time the Minotaurs escaped their servitude, the Neathlings really had no further use for them, as the grandest of their cities were already hewn into the stone. Neathlings are generally cold, calculating and harsh, though the best of them have been known to offer aid to those in true need. The creature that cursed them so long ago blocked off their connection. To make up for this they're able to absorb kinetic energy in order for there connection with the elements to be stable However, Neathlings have adjusted well to these limits, crafting their society around the sciences. of Chemistry. Now they have a healthy culture, and the tunnels to and from their cities are policed by powerful Golems of various designs.
