No longer limited to white and various shades of lavender and purple, high quality flowers are available in the entire color spectrum (except true blue) and in a wide range of plant sizes. The problem with the cattleya is that there's no good way to pin it down. It's an American breed of flower with five petals: one of which, the most conspicuous, tends to have a frilly margin and plenty of speckles (it is on occasion colored entirely differently). It's a parasite, and it comes in a dizzying palette of colors with blooms varying in size from 5 centimeters to 15 centimeters. They're parasitic - feeding on fungi near their roots - and the species of cattleyas that develop in the wild often depend on the population of fungi in the area nearby. And that's about as far as similarities go, among different sorts of cattleya.

As someone who has the same essence and ether, you'd think Priori especially connected to it. That's reasonable, right? But it has such a nebulous significance that really all the orchid means for Priori is her versatility. She certainly stands out in any collection of people - Aeterna or otherwise. But she's also incredibly good at fitting in. She's a particularly empathetic Aeterna with a strong appreciation for the differences among their kind. However, like the parasitic orchid, Priori does tend to be a bit needy: as sweet and unassuming as she is, she can be quite clingy, depending on the opinions of others to get through her day.

Inquisitive is the most accurate word for Priori. She's driven largely by a strong desire to know and understand the world around her, particularly as it relates to Aeternus. They all come into the Vocivus knowing how to reap - and isn't that strange? Where does that knowledge come from? That's what Priori wants to know. And one of the questions she wants answered the most is, well, what made her a Sanguis? Was it the particular combination of her essence and her ether? They are, after all, the very same. Was it the particular plants she'd been drawn from, or the force of her personality as it simmered in the hourglass? What determines who became a messor, rather than a venator? Are the distinctions merely physical ones, arbitrarily categorized post-birth by prominence of essence-traits? Does the categorization marking Priori as special mean anything, or is it merely a physical observation of the most distinct Aeterna among them?
This immense curiosity extends to her interactions with other Aeternus, too. She's really big on talking. It helps promote camaraderie and thus collaboration, but really she's just nosy. Her greatest passion is learning and seeking to answer questions, after all, and she believes that questions pertaining directly to Aeternus are the most important for them to answer. She'll often follow other Aeternus around in an attempt to learn more about their reaping strategies. Some might accuse her of piggybacking on others' achievements because of it, but she just has a huge passion for sharing information. Similarly she often clashes with Aeternus who prefer solitude. She can't help but fill in silences and prod people to overshare just like she does. But that's not the right solution for everyone.
Regardless, the information she's gained through all this, well, dedicated research means she's pretty good at adapting to strange situations on the fly. She's a big fan of manners and etiquette, and tends to behave quite formally - something that comes, though she won't admit it, from the orchid corsage's long association with formal events. She's extremely versatile, with a lot of esoteric knowledge that often comes in handy for figuring out the context of the situation, whether on earth or the Vocivus. She's also quite enthused about sharing this information - if there's any duty she associates with being a Sanguis, it's this. She's supposed to be special, right? Then she must provide something for those around her!
Honestly, in her opinion, she's not sure that being a Sanguis is all it's cracked up to be. There aren't any real differences besides the immediately obvious, after all. The most she can say is that she's unusual. Aeternus with rare essences and ethers could say the very same! There just aren't others to share the experience with, which can get a little sad. Don't get her wrong - she's very comfortable in her identity, but being the first Sanguis just gets lonely. Maybe when others show up they'll stop looking at her like she knows something interesting.
See, that insecurity is the very root of her motivations. Priori is incredibly conscious of her strangeness, and this in turn has driven her to seek answers in the world around her. She wants to show everyone that all of their contributions are equally valuable - cosmetic differences shouldn't matter. And if she can prove that through undeniable study...well, that's the dream, isn't it?

Priori deliberately avoids reaping in a pattern, recording reaped souls carefully in pursuit of some sort of information. See, she figures everyone will be reaped eventually - it's much better for reaverkind to learn what reaping does, and whether reaping particular sorts of souls has a purpose. The best way for them to do that is for someone who's paying careful attention to all the information gained from each reaping to experience reaping a wide variety of souls. The difference between Priori and someone who reaps any soul they see is that she hates collecting souls willy nilly. She's much fonder of souls she has a lot of information about: they're points of data, for her, and once they're reaped, they're gone, as far as contact goes. For this reason she prefers souls it's easy to learn about: people who keep their stories with them. What caused their deaths? Were they alone? More importantly: will they too become Aeternus?

Priori isn't really interested in the earth, but she adores the way people on earth sort information. She's duplicated a lot of that in her home.
██ ▮ SAMPLES ✒ Maybe it's a little creepy, but she has samples of the essences and ethers of every current Aeterna - or at least simulations of them, if she couldn't reproduce them perfectly. The information's important! The larger animals roam about in her garden, but everything else lives within the greenhouse itself. ◣
██ ▮ JOURNALS ✒ Priori has a large collection of them, hidden away in cabinets and filled with notes about, well, the world. ◣
██ ▮ CORSAGES ✒ The walls of her greenhouse are filled with perfectly-preserved corsages with orchids as their centerpiece. It's a lovely splash of color, and a testament to the potential variety. ◣

The section of the Vocivus Priori spends the most time in is a rather remarkable one - through a set of elegant spiraled gates rather reminiscent of The Secret Garden is the section of the Vocivus that makes Priori happiest. Yet once you're through the gates, the garden itself is hardly consequential. It's sectioned off into biomes mimicking different regions of Earth - from dry deserts to richly soiled forests, Priori has dedicated a section to everything. She can't really simulate humans, of course, and the limited breadth of her experience means that the selection is generally focused on animals that are components of essences or ethers of existing Aeternus. Still, it's a riot of life that's pretty thrilling to see.
A path bordered by orchids organized in a gradation of color (from the purples on through reds and yellows and finally greens) leads to a large glass greenhouse-esque building in the center of the garden.
But greenhouse isn't really an adequate description of its features. For one, it's not really used to grow things - in the Vocivus, where an Aeterna can change the environment at will, that doesn't matter so much. Instead, it's a building with multiple rooms separated by pristine glass walks. Well, they're pristine except that they function as giant whiteboards on which Priori proudly displays her latest thoughts. She takes advantage of the dreamlike nature of the Vocivus to treat the walls like giant, easily programmed spreadsheets. It's filled with a variety of samples of rocks and plants and tests that have been previously observed in Aeterna, as though Priori is studying them...which, well, she is.
Each room has a lovely spot in the corner filled with large, fluffy pile of blankets, perfect for napping off her ideas.

I think this is most easily divided into several groups: goals I've set for Priori, and goals she wants to accomplish.
She desperately wants to meet every Aeterna who's willing to come her way. She's seeking like minded reavers to form a study group, or a research group - an Aeterna university, if you will.
I'd like her to interact with someone who dislikes her on provoke, because they find her snooty or privileged and bratty. I'd also really like her to bug someone so much she sets them off, and then see how she deals with that.
