Your Sign: 19°58' Taurus

The Sun represents vitality, individuality, will-power and creative energy and honours. For a woman, it also represents her father, and later her husband. The Sun is one of the most important symbols in the birth chart, as much as the Ascendant, then the Moon (a bit less for a man), the ruler of the Ascendant and the fast-moving planets.

You spend your fortune and your energy advisedly. You are realistic and you distrust revolutions, sudden changes and love at first sight. You are very attached to your roots and you create a steady basis for yourself. You may be considered to be stubborn and you grant your confidence after thorough reflection only. “Resistance” is Taurus’ keyword. This sign is believed to be untiring, hard-working and stable to the utmost. People readily credit you with the ability to remind everyone of the necessities of concrete situations and to moderate people’s excesses. In principle, you are apt for long-term management, you can protect the foundations of an activity as the reliable guardian of assets and the guarantor for stability. Your distrust for novelties is your strength. It requires much more than an alluring idea to persuade you to change your direction. Skepticism is a quality here: it is safer to take advantage of past experiences rather than to rely on very hypothetical sporadic strokes of luck. Taurus is not a weather wane! However, it is important that you learn to question yourself and to respond to new opportunities in a timely manner.

Your Ascendant: 9°25' Aquarius

The Ascendant brings a lot of information on your personality; it is one of the keys which make possible to approach closely certain elements of yourself such as your physical appearance, your character as other people perceive it externally at first contact, your immediate behavior, informations about your health, your spontaneous reactions. It also corresponds to the external and apparent part of your personality, the one you want to show always at best, but also corresponds to your physical robustness on the duration that is to say your health.

You are particularly sensitive to the values of friendship in the sense that you see yourself as a link within a chain, certainly a different and original one, but with no will to flatter your ego or to individually assert yourself. On the contrary, your aim is to immerge yourself in your friendly relations and to participate in projects and ideals of the whole human community.

With this Ascendant, you come across as idealistic, altruistic, detached, independent, original, surprising, gifted, contradictory, innovative, humanistic, likeable, friendly, self-confident, impassive, quiet, intuitive, creative, charitable, elusive, disconcerting, generous, tolerant, paradoxical, and you cannot stand any kind of constraint. But you may also be marginal, resigned, distant, utopian, maladjusted, eccentric and cold.

Your Moon in Scorpio

The sign position of the Moon reveals much about our habits, reactions, and instincts. It shows how we express, and deal with, our emotions. Most obvious in our homes or in private, our Moon sign reveals our innermost needs. Many astrologers feel that the Moon represents our experience of mothering; it also shows how we "mother" or "baby" ourselves!

While others may find security and comfort in material things, Moon in Scorpio people seek out emotional intensity. No matter what, there is something very intense about Lunar Scorpios. They are diggers when it comes to the world of emotion—they can see beyond facades and cut right to the core of a person. This ability to "see" what isn't obvious to the rest of the world can be intimidating to others or wildly attractive, depending on the audience.

Their deep-seated need for transformation and rebirth can manifest itself in the lives of Lunar Scorpios in different ways. Most have powerful, emotionally intense lives. Some feel like it is beyond their control—these natives seem to attract emotional upheaval, and their lives appear to consist of plenty of dramatic ups and downs. However, when accepted as an emotional need, rebirth and change doesn't need to be so dramatic and overwhelming. In some way or the other, Moon in Scorpio natives seek out intense experiences. If their lives are regular in any way, there can be an unconscious need to test their own strength and stir up emotional excitement. Self-awareness and acceptance is probably the best way to handle this deep need for emotional drama.

Doing things halfway or having meaningless relationships simply doesn't fulfill them. Lunar Scorpios want all or nothing.

Moon in Scorpio people often have a strong fear of betrayal. They seek out commitment, and feel the need for a partner to give up something for them. Some will put the people they love through a series of tests, and these are not always conscious. Their apparent suspicion can be trying for the people who love them. However, once committed, Moon in Scorpio people can be the most loyal and protective partners around.

Even the shy ones have enormous presence. Their lives are emotion-driven, yet many Moon in Scorpio natives spend a lot of time controlling and mastering their emotions. Their intuition is enormous, although it is sometimes self-serving.

Moon in Scorpio people radiate strength. Even in the absence of experience, they seem to "just know" things. It would be difficult to shock or scare away Lunar Scorpios in the face of emotional honesty and power. Some people instinctively want to lean on them, and other less brave folk run a little scared. Lunar Scorpios have exceptional "radar" that allows them to size up a situation—and a person—quickly and expertly. This ability to understand human motivation and nature can be too close for comfort for some, and enormously comforting for others.

Many Lunar Scorpios are intelligent and astute. Those that use their enormous powers for intimacy and honesty are the happiest, and they make the most interesting and rewarding friends and lovers.

Your Mercury in Taurus
What style of communication do we use? How do we make decisions? How do we pick up, process, absorb, and exchange information? These questions are answered, in part, by Mercury's placement by sign of the zodiac. You may be an Aries, but you could also have Mercury in Taurus, so your style of communication is not quite as spirited as one would expect from an Aries. Mercury () refines the Sun sign, and it helps to define how we take in--and give out--information from the world around us.

Mercury in Taurus natives are plodders. They may take their time to arrive at a decision, but they get there -- they are actually quite decisive, even stubborn with their opinions. Some may mistake the time they take over decisions for laziness, but look a little deeper and you will find that these people do think.

Mercury in Taurus men and women may be slow to start a new project, but they see it through to the end. You may need to poke them to get them going, however. They have much common sense at their disposal.

These people rely on their senses when it comes to processing information. Smells, noises, and mood are all employed. Their communication style may, at times, be slow and measured. You may get a sense that these people are quite deliberate in what they do.

There is a placid quality to Mercury in Taurus natives--when they speak, they are generally not bubbling or scattered. As a result, others really listen to them. They take them seriously. The practicality of the sign often shows up in a rather sarcastic manner, although Mercury in Taurus people have an overall pleasing manner of communicating. In fact, they can be quite funny with their "say it like it is" style.

Many people with this placement of Mercury have especially pleasant voices. The down-to-earth quality of Taurus often shows up in the speech, so it's unlikely that their expression will be flowery or affected. Instead, it's infused with a realistic tone that can be rather authoritative.

When it comes to learning, Mercury in Taurus prefers demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts. These natives learn best when they see real-world uses for the theories they're trying to absorb. Not that they wouldn't be able to comprehend the abstract--they simply process information better when they can personalize it (what use is it to me?) and attach it to the practical world. It's interesting to note that Taurus is a sign that naturally assesses things in terms of what they can do for them. With Mercury placed in the sign, information is processed, and either accepted or discarded, with this kind of "screening" process.

Well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this position of Mercury. These people have well-defined tastes, and these revolve very much around the world of the five senses.

If the Sun Sign is in Aries or Gemini, these people can come across as more bull-headed than they actually are. They have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and their ideas are often very practical and useful.

Your Venus in Taurus
Where is Venus placed by zodiacal sign in your chart? Learn what Venus, the planet of luck, vision, expansion, and plenty, means in each sign of the zodiac.

Love for Venus in Taurus centers on the physical world and creature comforts -- they revel in sensual surroundings. These people project themselves as solid and comfortable. In fact, something about their manner promises they will be satisfying lovers and partners. They need a certain measure of predictability and dependability in their relationships, even if their Sun is in the more spontaneous signs of Aries or Gemini.

Venus in Taurus men and women can be possessive in love, and they are threatened by fast-paced, high-energy situations in the context of relationships and love. These are sensual partners who require lots of "hands-on" expressions of love. Their lovers may complain that Venus in Taurus can get a little too comfortable and settled. It's true that they resist change in their relationships, but even when they seem stuck in a groove, you can always reassure yourself by remembering that they are constant partners.

Pleasing Venus in Taurus involves emphasizing your loyalty, and their worth to you. You may need to give in to them in love matters, because they won't readily give in to you! Get physical with them; do comfortable things. Avoid pushing them in love -- give them plenty of time. You will probably need to cultivate patience if you are in a relationship with Venus in Taurus. Remember to be simple and natural -- Taurus will appreciate it. Promise them a comfortable, cozy time.

My Personal Ad Bio: "I am a dependable guy/gal. My ideal date consists of good food, fine wine, and cuddling up with each other at home."

Venus in Taurus people are very physical lovers, with a great appreciation for scents, sounds, feels, and pleasing form. Can be very patient in love. Their charm is natural and earthy.

They can be possessive in love and with objects. Venus in Taurus people are attracted to products of high quality and durability. They can be good with their money, spending lavishly only on objects of beauty, long-lasting objects, and food. They are not usually especially generous people and are typically quite practical and patient when it comes to saving and spending money. Harmony and peace are important factors in the art and music they are attracted to. They abhor gawdy, cheap, tacky, or excessively loud/bold art, clothing, and possessions.

Your Mars in Aquarius
What makes us tick? What gets us all fired up? What makes us angry, and how do we express that anger? What do we really desire, and how do we go about getting it? The sign position of Mars reveals much about our basic animal nature—our aggressive instincts, our sexuality, and our drive.

"Slow and steady wins the race" could easily be a motto for Mars in Taurus. These goal-oriented people are not known for their speed, but their staying power is tremendous.

Generally calm and easygoing people, Mars in Taurus natives can have powerful tempers when they're overly provoked. They generally don't fly off the handle as quickly as others, however (unless Aries is prominent in their chart).

Mars in Taurus people value strength and stability. They are driven by security and an especial fondness for personal possessions. Most are not afraid to work for what they want, and there is an overall patience to this position of Mars. If it takes a few years to achieve their goals, so be it.

People born under a Mars in Taurus are often rather sensual people. Some are slow to arousal, but theirs is an earthy and powerful sensuality.

Most have well-defined long-term goals and the determination to achieve them. They usually are not the type of people to take on too many projects at once. If they don't think they can do it, they won't! It is almost impossible to get these people moving once they've made up their minds on a matter. You want them to go shopping with you? Unfortunately for you, about half an hour back, they've kicked up their heels, changed into something comfortable, and they simply won't budge. Immovable is the only way to describe Mars in Taurus people who have made up their minds. Adaptability is not their strong point.

In a similar vein, attempting to rush Mars in Taurus people is a lesson in frustration. They won't alter their pace for most anything.

If you can get past these "quirks", however, you'll find that Mars in Taurus natives are often quite reliable and strong personalities. It may just be worth the wait!

When Venus or Mars is in Taurus, the sexual nature involves all of the senses. Touch and smell are supremely important to these lovers. These are the most physical of sexual partners. No frills sex is quite fine, as long as the mood is right and there is plenty of physical contact. These lovers don't have a reputation for spontaneity or variety, but they are good at what they do nonetheless, simply because they are truly right there with you. Abstaining from sex is especially difficult for Taurus, so finding a regular sex partner is particularly important. Their sexual stamina during love-making is long-lasting and steady. Although generally patient, their style is natural and physical, and intellectualizing the sex act would only serve to baffle Taurus.

Your Jupiter in Taurus
Where is Jupiter placed by zodiacal sign in your chart? Learn what Jupiter, the planet of luck, vision, expansion, and plenty, means in each sign of the zodiac.

Delights in sensual pleasures and wants the good life. A strong feeling of what he/she is worth attracts success. Good instincts for finances, what things are worth/good products, and investing. Attracts the most good fortune when he/she is charitable, generous but discriminating, and patient. Watch for over-indulgence.

Your Saturn in Taurus
Saturn Signs present challenges to us which make us grow up. Saturn represents restrictions, limitations, delays and authority. If you've ever heard your parents tell you they were doing something for your own good, well, that's Saturn.

Saturn in Taurus has a deep need to feel secure; both emotionally and financially. They like to keep a strict control over their daily tasks. Unfortunately for them, nothing comes easy. They have to work hard for everything they get. They tend to be thrifty. They are patient and disciplined, with a matter-of-fact attitude. While they are not very spontaneous, they are more than willing to work as hard as necessary to attain their goals.

Taurus Saturn does well in politics or business. The arts may hold some interest for them. They don't rush their decisions in anything. They are reliable friends to have around. Saturn in Taurus has some trouble with unconditional love they can't help but expect some compensation for what they give. They either undervalue or overvalue their possessions and assets. They often will only settle for all or nothing in a given situation. It benefits them to realize that under it all, they may be trying to buy love. Once this fact is accepted, they can use their accumulation skills much more effectively in a healthy way.

Saturn in Taurus is loyal and trustworthy. Once they find a position on something, they are hard to persuade to see a different view. While it may take them awhile to decide what to say, once they decide they are often worth listening to.

They can sometimes be possessive or miserly. At other times, Taurus Saturn may feel it is greedy to accept wealth for themselves and feel guilty for owning nice things. They don't want to appear selfish. When they fall into this category, they are happy to have a place to live and a few bucks in their pocket. At the same time, they may fear losing what they have.

Taurus Saturn can be jealous, stubborn and have great endurance. They can discipline themselves to the point that they can easily put off immediate gratification as long as the reward is visible in the future. They must learn to manage finances practically.

Physically, Saturn in Taurus may have to deal with problems of the throat. This may relate to problems with speech in some people.

Your Uranus in Taurus
Uranus spends about seven years in each sign as it moves around the zodiac, so it’s in that sign for everyone born during that period. All planets are important in the birth chart, but a sign influence that is identical for so many people does not indicate personal characteristics that will dominate an individual unless, of course, Uranus is a personal planet. Instead, the Uranus sign is known as a ‘generational’ influence. The House placement of Uranus is more personally significant. See Uranus in the Houses.

(1934 – 1941)
Taurus highlights the stubborn quality of Uranus. If other fixed signs are prominent in the chart, the individual may proudly say, ‘Once I’ve made up my mind I don’t change it.’ However, it the chart tends towards indecision, with a powerful emphasis on Libra or Pisces, this is a good placing, since it gives a combination of stability and Uranian originality. Either way, this placement makes for opposing tendencies. On the one hand, the fixed influence of Taurus makes one want to be conventional. This clashes with the natural Uranian urge to break free from all conventions. If balance is achieved, we often find an original and practical individual, which is when Uranus in Taurus is at its best.

Your Neptune in Virgo
Your Neptune Sign’s influence reaches further than the ordinary senses, so there may be aspects of extrasensory perception at work. Illusion, fantasy and dreams are the playing field here, and the spirit is the primary force.

Named for the Roman God of the Sea, Neptune's watery depths are associated with dreams, visions, and the imagination.

Is it reality or is it an illusion? With Neptune, it is hard to tell. Those with a prominent Neptune may be drawn towards mysticism and spiritual pursuits. Ruler of Pisces, this is especially true if these two are paired in your chart. Your Neptune Sign also holds influence over many forms of entertainment it usually puts on an illusion, after all.

On the negative side, Neptune may drag its followers into the depths of drugs, alcohol, delusion, hypochondria and abnormality. It may resort to trickery, deceit, deception, and guilt.

On the positive side, Neptune is compassionate, and the planet of divine Love, as opposed to Venus' personal love. Words that may be used to describe Neptune would be delusion, illusion, dreamy, psychic, sensitivity, bondage, obligation, fog. If there is no sacrifice, there is no joy. Neptune makes the sacrifice joy itself, as the love knows no restrictions or boundaries. Neptune works subtly, and suddenly you find yourself enveloped in the

Neptune in Virgo is concerned with health and nutrition. They may wish to help feed the hungry or heal the sick. They may bring health consciousness to the attention of others, or they may become hypochondriacs and worry about every germ and disease. They are interested in anything new that will heal others, especially if it has mystical or non-physical applications.

Neptune in Virgo has a great fondness for family and their home. They idealize the dream of having a snug cottage surrounded by their children and grandchildren. Physical security is important to them. If you happen to prefer solitude, others may feel sorry for you when there is no need. The natural world is important to Virgo Neptune, who knows it holds many secrets to health.

Virgo Neptune may feel a need to overcome negativity that they believe causes disease and discomfort. They may emphasize the connection between emotions and physical health to others. They may lose themselves in the pursuit of serving others. They may be critical of any who do not share their opinions.

Neptune in Virgo possesses the mental faculties of inspiration, prophesy, and high standards. They can be spiritual at times. They are concerned with environmental hazards, nutrition-less foods and pollution. They have a very strong sense of what is right and what is wrong. They follow their own strict code of ethics and moral judgment. They may appear conservative or straight-laced. They must be cautious not to lose the big picture because they get lost in minor details. This is even easier to do today with computers. It is easy to lose oneself on the computer.

Your Pluto in Leo
This makes Pluto’s sign influence a ‘generational’ one, affecting everyone born during that time. However, Pluto's House in your chart is personal. For a more personal interpretation of Pluto’s influence in your chart, see Pluto in the Houses.

Pluto in Leo: Heightened powers of leadership, especially if Pluto or Leo is prominent in the chart.

Your Chiron in Cancer
Chiron in Cancer may feel like an outsider. They may feel unwanted, un-nurtured and unloved. On the good side, they are very nurturing themselves. It is difficult for them to let others care for them. They may give to everyone except themselves. They may end up taking in every stray that crosses their path. They need to learn to give to themselves and cherish their own needs. This helps balance them and make them whole. Opening themselves up to accept love and care from others is a big step towards healing that inner hurt. If they can learn to indulge themselves once in awhile, they will begin to realize what they have been missing all along.

Your Ceres in Capricorn
Ceres In Capricorn feels nurtured when they are organized and in control. They help others learn how to succeed. They take great comfort in every achievement they make. They have learned to take responsibility, now they will teach this to others. When stressed they can be overly dependent on their status in an effort to make themselves feel better. Surprises turn their world upside down. Goal setting and working hard is more their thing. They try their best to get others to realize how beneficial this path is to meeting your goals. It is hard for them to accept themselves sometimes. They equate feeling loved with how well they perform in life.

Your Pallas in Sagittarius
Pallas Athena in Sagittarius can see the big picture. They do well with mental healing, using imagery to make change happen. They also may heal with spiritual means. They want to create art that shows universal principles or emphasizes the unique qualities of different cultures. They are a knight in shining armor, ready to defend truth and righteousness. They may act as advisor to those in power or forge links of unification. Their skill at seeing the large patterns can help them teach others.

They can become rather selfish or use inappropriate means of getting attention. They like things to be equal. They are natural showmen and want to share the spotlight. They feel strongly towards their mates. They may be arrogant or immature and rather bossy. They can also be very generous and loving. They are decisive and seldom change their minds once they are made up.

Your Vesta in Leo
Vesta in Leo works best in creative original areas. They are artistic. They have a passion for self expression. They are full of enthusiasm and love. They can be egotistical if they are not loved. They are natural romantics. They may refuse to consider the opinions of others. They may become zealous. They have a talent for focusing on the creative or dramatic side of any circumstance. They are proud and are always willing to give from the heart.

Your Node in Libra
North Node Libra
Libra North Node, South Node Aries

Achieving “serenity” is a soul aspiration for you in this lifetime, although the thrill of the hero’s journey and the grand quest is strong for you with these Nodes. Your South Node is ruled by the mythical hero, Mars, who embodies the ideal of the spiritual warrior and the one who breaks new ground. However, with your North Node in Libra, ruled by Venus, it is through the more feminine side of yourself that you come home to yourself. Venus compensates for the excesses of Mars, and yet she can be a demanding muse or irritation, depending on how you treat the masculine/feminine polarity within yourself.

With this Nodal axis it will be important for you to find ways to calm down, release tension, and allow all forms of beauty and harmony to heal you. Like a finely turned violin, you need to catch stress and pressure before it causes something to snap. There may have been something exhausting earlier in this life or in a previous life experience where you placed great emphasis on personal achievement, self-sacrifice and courageous action. Now it’s time to release the singular survival urge and ambitious mentality to develop your North Node’s Soul's yearning for deep serenity. For you, this suggests nurturing co-operative relationships and finding release from the mental/emotional “tension of the opposites.”

The symbol of your Venus ruled Libra North Node is the ancient image of Athena holding the Scales. This mental weighing and balancing of the ‘great opposites” in life is exhausting, yet the challenge of knowing what is “right and fair and true” is too delicious not to embrace. You delight in having had the courage (South Node Aries) to go where others have not, to endure, and to bring home the “golden fleece”. Yet it is ultimately about the learning of “right relationship” that is one of the main tasks for you in this life. It will require a relaxing of some old ways of thinking and being, as you create win/win situations with others and relax the urge to engage in victim-rescuer scenarios.

As your understanding of human nature grows, you acquire a tolerance for paradox and ambiguity and for the many different ways people perceive reality. As this increasing acceptance of the complexities of life and people grow you may find yourself in positions of peace-keeping or as a counselor or mediator.
You can excel in the Venusian fields of art, entertainment, and beauty, if you choose to develop this side of your nature. Home, heart, and hearth can take on increasing importance—one could say that these Venus ruled areas are good compensatory medicine for you. As you grow into a more balanced focus on inter-dependence rather than too much dependence or independence, you'll finally find a way to assert yourself with more confidence and without creating conflict. Your compassionate objectivity can bring a deep contentment into your life and into the lives of anyone you touch.

Earlier in this life, or in a previous life, chances are that you were engaged in “a serious battle” of some sort. It could have been a war, or it may be a vague emotional memory of trauma. However, those left-over default patterns, or shadow qualities of Mars—the feeling of needing to know, to be right, and in your place of power, only increase the dramatic, intense and overly emotional backdrop of your past life that your Soul longs to move away from. Your unconscious knows the horror of trauma and drama, yet you also know how to numb the effects of battle, and how to create the soothing rush of the adrenaline high with a new beginning. You can dare to slow down. The war is over; you’ve won.

As you move to redeem the “gold in the shadow of Aries” in mid-life you may need to become less self-centered to find the serenity and co-operation with others you desire—and how many and varied the ways you may consciously and unconsciously do this! No matter how accommodating you may see yourself, you may occasionally need to dip back into this gold in the shadow, and tap into that Martian/ Aries assertiveness again. Yes, Libra is about balance, justice and beauty, but without a good dose of the Martian courageousness and sense of adventure, Libra can be ineffective and indecisive. As you continue to learn to tolerate the complexities and paradoxes in life (an on-going Libran task!) you discover a new sense of equanimity, and you may notice that life comes to you, rather than you having to go to it. Allow yourself time to not rush into making decisions--you need to weigh and balance all the different ways you perceive and think about things.

In the latter part of your life you’re more likely to seek the comfort of love rather than the drama of love earned through effort and ambition. Where there is no war, there is also greater beauty.

Soul Purpose: To cultivate a willingness to see all sides of a question and be able to forgive. Release the addiction to passion, ambition, and anger as personal fuel, and replace it with the Venusian nurturing qualities inherent in all things beautiful—music, nature, and art are all healing for you.

Shadow: Having to be right and to righteously defend a cause while causing a lot of inner and outer disturbance. Too much emphasis on the powers of the ego and not enough on the Self, and/or Self in relationship to others.

***
William Butler Yeats, Irish poet, dramatist, astrologer and occultist, was one of the foremost figures of 20th century literature. Yeats had his North Node in Libra, South Node in Aries, and despite (or because of) his many literary accomplishments, he is often looked at curiously for his unusual love life and his passionate quest for a direct experience of Spirit. His many relationships with women were tumultuous, and the Venusian muse was particularly hard on him. He was refused in marriage multiple times by Maud Gonne, the love of his life, and again by his proposal of marriage to her daughter.

Yeats was in love with Maud Gonne for 28 years (a full Saturn cycle) and claimed to have a spiritual marriage with her—perhaps providing Yeats with the emotional suffering necessary for an alchemical breakdown to take place. It seems significant that Yeats’ life long desire to channel spirit information came to him, not by the excesses of his passion, but through his later life marriage to his wife, Georgie. One cannot know if he found the “serenity” that is the hallmark for Libra, but one could hope that in accepting the responsibility of their marriage and two children, Yeats may have turned the base metal of everyday human life into the gold he so yearned for in his spiritual quest.

As a member of the occult society of the Golden Dawn it became necessary for Yeats to grasp the unity of opposition over and over again, and the necessity of alchemical healing through suffering and purification. His magical name in that society: Demon Est Deus Inversus (the Devil is God inverted) underlines that opposition.

Yeats knew that in Vedic Indian astrology, his “head of the dragon, Rahu,” was in Libra, and the “tail of the dragon, Ketu,” was in Aries. C.G. Jung wrote in his book, Mysterium Coniunctionis.“ ...in the image of the uroboros (the serpent or dragon swallowing its own tail) lies the thought of devouring oneself and turning oneself into a circulatory process. The uroboros is a dramatic symbol for the integration and assimilation of the opposite, i.e., of the shadow...”

It is interesting to note that the South Node shadow for Yeats was in Aries, with it’s polar opposite, in compensatory Venus ruled Libra, while the opposite is true for two other men who pioneered in the area of the unconscious—Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. They both had the opposite polarity of North Node being in Mars ruled Aries, and South Node in Libra. All three men shared the passionate Venus/Mars polarity with its intense interest/disinterest in sexuality, love, and the life of the spirit.

Your Lilith in Taurus
This is one of the most natural positions of Lilith who was, according to Hebrew myth where she is mentioned as Adam’s first wife, herself created from earth. Those born under her influence are very sensual and very fertile which is why she almost regularly brings unwanted pregnancies to women and problems with genitalia to men, genital infections and other diseases, and all because of too much pleasure in youth, lust, fornication and hedonism. In their youth they are usually interested in little except pleasure, all is subordinated to laughter and beauty. Later, when they first begin to fear old age and disability, death, they start their serious quest for the “elixir of immortality”, so that their enchantment and intoxication with this world, their “dolce vita” could be celebrated as long as possible!

If we needed to describe her, she would be the belly dancer with voluptuous curves, big eyes wide open. Goddess of sensuality that knows the long forgotten rythm of the universe, rythm that drums somewhere in every one of us, tribal dance, that starts gently and joyfully and then in a growing trance she gives herself up to frenzied passions, instincts and senses that vanquish the demons of night, darkness and death. Only those who have Lilith positioned here can establish contact with her, can awaken her! Fabulous sense of rythm! Truly, these people will only with the help of joy, laughter, music, dance, sex, with the help of their talent to see beauty in everything, they will elevate their consciousness and find the divine within themselves! They are extremely talented for art, painting and singing in particular, although trading in art objects and paintings as well as jewelry is also possible.

Partnerships will, from early youth, be an important part of their lives. With kisses and sex they manage to overcome all obstacles. Any form of renouncing pleasure here is impossible because Lilith will lay its trap. Sensualities are emphasized and very early on they manage to recognize their impulsive nature. During their life they will change many partners. These are people whose sexual life is exclusively based on the visual and tactile so affairs and infidelities are easily possible. A hint in the air of some pleasure and fun is sufficient. They feel strong sexual desire in kitchens, restaurants, at various receptions, at glamorous ocassions. Oral sex and kissing are of great significance to them. They usually have big, sensual lips and in time their voices deepen to an “invitation to sex”. Financially they are quite sound, but often make wrong investments, they easily squander money especially on pleasures, love, gamble…

It is paramount that during their life they maintain a direct contact with nature that is to them the greatest existing mistery. They are connected to the earth and her energy with their heart. They are very traditionalist and respect the cult of family.

Your Fortune in Leo
Part of Fortune in LEO: The characteristic style of Leo is showy, grand, and generous. Leo has self-assurance and leadership ability. Leo acts self-expressively, dramatically, and creatively. The person with the Part of Fortune in Leo needs recognition from others to feel happy and successful.

AS in Aquarius
Your Rising Sign, otherwise known as an Ascendant, is the Zodiac Sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment you were born. It can be abbreviated on a birth chart as ASC or AS. When you know the time you were born, your Ascendant Sign can be calculated to the exact degree.

It is believed that if the Ascendant falls closer to the beginning of the Sign, the stronger the effects will be felt in the individual. This is also held to be true if the Sun is in a weak position in the birth chart (such as if the individual was born at night). It’s also thought to be weaker when the individual is born towards the end of the Sign's Ascendancy, just before the next Sign appears.
Rising Sign/Ascendant

Because the Ascendant Sign is specific to the time and place of the individual birth, it represents the environment and conditioning a person may be influenced by during their childhood and is considered as important and significant as the Sun and Moon Signs, because all other aspects on the chart are filtered through this Sign.

The Ascendant is said to be the mask one wears in public… it is the first impression we make when we meet new people. Often, if you are confused at how others have described you, it is because they are describing this aspect of your personality. The Ascendant takes part in your appearance and personality, going as far as influencing physical characteristics sometimes. The Sign becomes expressed in your image, style and mannerisms. It is also expressed in how you act. Some astrologists theorize that the Sign becomes weaker after a person reaches 30 years of age, as their confidence grows in who they are.

Rising Sun Your Rising Sign appears as the first personality traits you exhibit. It is your autopilot… it responds to your environment. Your Sun Sign gradually becomes more noticeable over time. The two Signs will eventually blend, creating an outer layer and an inner layer, enclosing the Moon Sign deep inside.

Aquarius Rising is a unique individual, first and foremost, and they won't let you forget it! Many will seek them out for advice because they come across as intellectuals that are approachable. In fact, Aquarius Ascendant is very curious, and frequently very well educated. They may show interest in anything that advances the human race. They are humanitarian, idealistic, tolerant and impartial for the most part.

Aquarius Rising thinks they have seen everything, so it is difficult to shock them. Actually, they like to shock those around them. They really enjoy getting a response from others. They may have a quiet, irreverent sense of humor that others find endearing, if a bit offbeat.

Aquarius Rising is a likable person and very friendly to everyone they meet. They get along with people from all walks of life, easily accepting them all as equals. They are unique in that they can pull off appearing detached and aloof while also appearing kind and caring… it is a study in contradictions.

Aquarius Ascendant may feel "special" or "different"… and they have felt that way their entire life. Sometimes they feel like they are excluded from everyone else, like they are outside the window looking in. They have the ability to observe and deduce what needs to be done. They are also very good at puzzling out how to get things to work. This talent also works with groups of people. This ability serves them well if they work as a manager or in some manner that facilitates people working together.

Aquarius Rising expresses their individuality clearly, but not in a way that makes them stand out oddly. For example, they may dress well, with an accessory that makes them stand out just enough to make them interesting. While they are very open to new ideas, they can also be extremely stubborn. They can be decidedly inflexible, and at times may try to force others to agree with their opinions. They may not see the small details, only the big picture, which may cause them to overlook the needs of those closest to them. They are independent. They are unaffected by status, wealth or power. When they take an interest in someone, it is for their own sake, not any outside influence. They easily attract friends, and acquaintances come like moths to a flame.

Aquarius Rising loves to play devil's advocate and take part in a good argument. They like personal freedom, so this can be a potential issue when they marry. Their restless nature can push them to seek a more stimulating environment if the one they are in isn't meeting their needs mentally or physically. Aquarius Ascendant can be unpredictable and may behave in a contradictory fashion.

Aquarius Rising is extremely interested in the future and the past, but they may get lost when it comes to the present. They may appear to be a bit out of step with their contemporaries. They are likely to be interested in music, design, science or sociology. They may have physical issues with their circulation or with arthritis.

MC in Sagittarius
Your Midheaven Sign is the Zodiac Sign that was at the southern highest point above the horizon at the moment you were born. This southern highest point is also known as the Medium Coeli, or MC for short.

The Midheaven is the entrance to the tenth house and relates to your career, reputation and social standing. These are your most visible achievements in the eyes of the world. This will guide you to your professional achievements and responsibilities. Your life's purpose, if you will. Your highest aspirations in life.
Midheaven Signs/Medium Coeli

Your Midheaven Sign should give you some insight into what you need to realize your full place in life. You also must consider any planets that may be found in your ninth and tenth houses; they will modify the end results and make a difference in what career you ultimately choose and how successful you will be.

Sagittarius Midheaven is intuitive and reflective. They like to plan everything. They have the gift to see into the future and find the best way to get where they want to go from the present. As children, they may be a bit gullible, being pulled into several different directions, but gradually they learn how to pick the ideas that are best for them. They feel strongly about sharing their knowledge with others, and will find the platform from which to achieve this. They may continue to study throughout their lifetime and work in interdisciplinary fields. They feel they must find their place in the big picture of life.

Sagittarius Midheaven loves a bit of adventure, especially activities that require some expertise. They are great multi-taskers, with the ability to keep several projects going at once. They like life to be challenging; boredom is their enemy. They are ambitious, though wealth and material things don't really mean much to them.

People with a Midheaven in Sagittarius are usually conservative and may be seen as stubborn by others. They can be more open-minded, however, when faced with strong evidence. They love a good argument, and can actually be quite flexible. Appearing stubborn is more to create their own comfort zone. They are rather philosophical. They have very definite opinions about spirituality and religion, even if they don't practice a formal religion themselves. They may find themselves in a leadership position that inspires others.

Individuals with a Midheaven in Sagittarius do best in jobs that give them independence, travel and mental challenges. They don't mind jobs being of service to others. They are willing to work hard, and they may use their growing influence to achieve their goals. It is not uncommon for a person with a Sagittarius Midheaven to have more than one career in a lifetime. Some careers that may appeal to them include politics, religious positions, acting, sales, writing, teaching, agenting, promotion, or fund raising. They like to work with the public in some manner.

They may experience difficulties with a supervisor at some time in their career, or be placed into a situation for which they are not prepared. One issue they often seem to face it the inability to live in the present, as they are so focused on the future. Reflection is good for them, so they can appreciate what they have accomplished and savor the moment. They may need to seek a long time to find exactly what they feel they must find.

Sun in the 3rd House
The position of the Sun by house (that is, the house that the Sun occupies in the birth chart) reveals an area of life where we need to feel special. It is where we feel the need to distinguish ourselves from others.

The Sun is an active, rather than reactive, force. As such, we can effect changes in the affairs ruled by the house of our Sun. In fact, in order to find happiness and direction in our lives, we must recognize that we identify with the areas of life ruled by this house. We need to shine in some way in these life matters! We cannot ignore these house matters—we need to take purposeful action here.

So, if the Sun is in the 6th house, we must recognize that being of service to others, such as through daily work, is vitally important to our identity. Taking action to find our niche in terms of the work or service we do will contribute much to our sense of self-worth and esteem.

Now, we must also be careful to avoid over-identifying with the affairs of the house our Sun occupies. Our ego may be over-developed in these areas, and our pride easily bruised. In our example of Sun in the 6th house, negative expression of this position may be a tendency to over-identify with our work; to feel useless when we are not working; to define ourselves in terms of the service we provide to others; to over-react to criticism of the job we do; or to become engrossed in service at the cost of finding our true calling in life.

Sun in the 3rd House:

You need activity and a change of scenery often, or you feel restless. You take pride in your mental agility and your friendships. You are able to adapt quite easily to whatever environment you're in. There is a strong need to communicate your knowledge to others and to learn. Your curiosity is endless. Take pride in your intellectual or communicative abilities without feeling the need to lord it over others or to always be "in the know".

Alternate Interpretation: You get off to a fast start in life. You expect to be good at what you do. You see competency as primarily a matter of experience, and you set out to gather a broad understanding of people, your environment and life in your early years. The natural lines of growth in life show that you concentrate on communication and learning as your self-picture develops.

Moon in the 8th House
The Moon in the houses can reveal where and how we go about seeking emotional satisfaction. Important clues to the reason for perpetual emotional unrest can be found through the study of the house position of the Moon, and these take the form of constant changes or ups and downs in the areas of life ruled by the house. It is in these areas that we should aim to make deep attachments rather than superficial and temporary emotional thrills if we are seeking out a true feeling of belonging and emotional fulfillment.

Moon in the 8th House

While you have a strong need for emotional security, you are also a person who is drawn to pushing your own limits, and many lifestyle changes can be the result of this need to challenge, or reinvent, yourself emotionally. You are always fascinated with how people work, taboos, secrets, and all that is forbidden or hidden. Sexual unrest, or an apparent need to constantly change sexual partners or to challenge yourself sexually, may be a symptom of emotional insecurity. Connecting with another person intimately is an emotional need, but your changeable emotions might often get in the way of your goal. Jealousy and possessiveness might also be qualities you struggle with. At your best, however, you are a person who is intimate, deep, and intensely loyal to a partner.

*Though you want closeness very much, you often close yourself off and do not really trust others who may wish to get to know you. You are very wholehearted in your feelings and responses to people, and you want all or nothing from the people you care for.

Mercury in the 3rd House
This is an especially curious and inquisitive position for Mercury. You are generally very interested in reading, teaching, speaking, exchanging ideas, keeping current with the daily news, and perhaps gossiping. Your interests are many and varied, sometimes to the point that you barely skim the surface of any one topic. You are also very easily distracted and your attention span can be quite short. Quick to learn, you are also swift to share what you know with others. You can be very talkative when you have the chance. You can be a list maker, and often are quite involved in your community. Some of you can be quite nervous or fidgety.

Venus in the 3rd House
You are verbally expressive, diplomatic, and aim to be tactful. You easily win others over with your words, whether it's because of a likeable facility with language, a beautiful voice, or a diplomatic use of words. You readily give out compliments. Some of you might use flattery to your own benefit at the risk of being ingenuine. You are generally a very good mediator, aiming to settle arguments quickly and restoring at least temporary peace. You have a mischievous side, however, and your desire to be tactful and polite with others doesn't always succeed. Some of you might engage in a lot of mind games, and others might eventually find out that you don't always mean what you say or say what you mean! You value mental stimulation and frequent changes of scenery in your love relationships.

Mars in the 1st House
Your reactions to new situations are immediate and pressing. You are an active, energetic, dynamic, enterprising, and possibly even forceful or aggressive person. You tend to begin new endeavors with gusto, although follow-through is not necessarily indicated by this position alone. Some of you might be rash, inconsiderate, or overly assertive. You can be fiercely independent, and you are usually direct and straightforward. Spontaneity is extremely important to you. Some of you might stir up trouble, whether consciously or unconsciously, when you are bored.

Jupiter in the 3rd House
Jupiter's position by house in the natal chart (that is, the house that Jupiter occupies in the birth chart) reveals where we express our generosity and tolerance. It shows where we focus on improving our lives and in whom or in what we trust. The areas of life ruled by the house can be channels for expanding our personality and life experience.

You are forward-looking--a real planner. You are endlessly curious and enjoy making happy connections with others. Sharing ideas with others is important to you--you take great pleasure in doing so. You are able to see the big picture and thus often are turned to for advice. You are sincerely interested in others, and you easily put people at ease in social situations.

Saturn in the 2nd House
Saturn has a powerful and life altering influence. We define Saturn as Sloan-Mcg - Sophisticated Saturnreality. Reality may be limiting but at the same time provides structure to our lives. Keep in mind that individuals perceive reality differently. The reality we are referring to is societal and that is common to all. Saturn influences make you work, take care of your responsibilities, and fit into society. Saturn is the antidote to Uranus' creative change and Neptune's fantasies. Saturn influences may be used to put in the effort, organize, and implement creative change. One's deepest dreams and fantasies can come true by embracing Saturn and putting in the required time and effort.

Traditional astrology interprets Saturn's presence in the second house to mean a lack of or difficulty in getting real world possessions like money, cars, etc. Moving away from this fatalistic approach, we will try to personalize the meaning of Saturn in the second house for an individual. From a personality standpoint the second house reflects your attitude to real world possessions. With Saturn in the second house, you might be unduly pessimistic about your own ability to get possessions. Avoid the pessimism. Then again, you might be overly cautious in the way you invest your finances. I'll give you an example to illustrate this point. Saturn in the second house people are more likely to invest their hard earned money in low risk treasury bonds than in the higher risk stock market. This may be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. Your investments will remain rock solid over the years, but will not grow as much if you had been more of a risk-taker! Given this risk aversion, isn't it easy to spot why past astrologers might have taken that as an inability to gain wealth or possession? It's not so much an inability as simply an attitude. Awareness of this attitude can be your strength.

Uranus in the 3rd House
The position of Uranus in a particular house adds an interesting flavor to the areas and stages of life associated with that house. Uranus is a liberator--it wants us to break free from structure and limitation. Its purpose is evolution, experimentation, and growth. Although Uranus can sometimes live in reaction mode, it motivates us to think and act outside of the box. In fact, Uranus in its purest form is intuition itself. By house, the position of Uranus shows where individuals look to stir things up, put a new spin on situations, and go against established thought or order.

You act and communicate with people around you in an offbeat, eccentric, and zany way. Naturally friendly, you very often make people smile with your wit and easy good-humor. People look upon you to ease a boring day knowing you will perhaps have something new to say about the mundane. Your eccentricity may puzzle and sometimes annoy some. You win them over with your humility, open mind, and honesty. Creativity in communication and in all that you do sets you apart from most.

Neptune in the 7th House
Where Neptune is in the natal chart is where we might have many dreams, hopes, and wishes; where we are especially idealistic; where we might give more than we take, or the complete opposite, we might avoid responsibilities and coerce others to do our share, where we might feel unsatisfied with reality and where we might feel vague discontent or spiritual longing, and where we might have inflated expectations. Neptune's position can reveal some of the karma that we experience.

You are inclined to give more to a partnership (including marriage) than you take. There may be a tendency to wear rose colored glasses when it comes to the selection of a partner, in an attempt to find a soulmate. The need for a strong psychic or intuitive link with a partner is so strong that your perceptions in partnership are not accurate. You need to take a step back, consciously attempting to see your partners and relationships for what they are, rather than what you wish them to be. You might be attracted to relationships in which you feel a partner needs to be saved somehow, or in which a partner saves you. However, you might end up with people who only serve to confuse you, who are noncommittal or unavailable, or who are overly dependent. You tend to idealize a partner, assigning them traits that you want them to have, or even seeing them as worse than they are because of your inflated and dramatic expectations. You need to develop discipline and discrimination when it comes to setting limits, selecting partners, and keeping communication clear in a relationship. In some cases, people with this position give up their power to partners and become dependent upon them. You are likely a creative negotiator and you can be especially accommodating with others. Positively, you are very talented at bringing out the good in another person, particularly a partner, if that person is appreciative of your efforts and is willing to grow.

Pluto in the 6th House
By house, the position of Pluto shows where individuals search for truths and deeper meaning. This area of life may be associated with change, upheaval, power struggles, and issues of control. Intensity, fear of loss or betrayal, passion, obsession, paranoia, and self-protectiveness are themes in these areas of life. We might be driven in the areas of life associated with the house that Pluto occupies.

You are a hard worker and can be quite protective or private when it comes to your work output. You are excellent at analysis, but you can also easily become obsessed with finding an answer to problems, perhaps even finding problems that others overlook. You "come alive" when presented with a problem that requires research and analysis. Work can become an obsession for you, and you are able to work almost tirelessly. You might be private or insular when it comes to your work, and you might also feel overly attached to what you do even to the point of paranoia. Fear of criticism might run high when it comes to your work output. Directing your own work or working for yourself may be the best route for you to take, as you can easily resent others controlling your schedule and the work that you do. You are likely very interested in areas of health and self-improvement, as well as explorations of the mind-body connection, and you instinctively seek alternative therapies for healing. Some of you are excellent researchers in these areas.

Chiron in the 6th House
This shows your deepest wound residing in daily needs and health. You may be preoccupied with your own health and possibly even be a hypochondriac. You worry incessantly yet don’t do much to remedy it. Routine is difficult for you and you prefer to do things of your own accord, but you can easily tell others how to organize their own life and keep up with healthy habits. On the flip side, you may be too obsessed with keeping up with your own routine and become quite inflexible in the ways you work. You may wish you could relieve yourself of all the strict rules you place on yourself but feel you cannot risk it. This placement can show health problems early on in life, or even throughout life, and this can lead to your worried state of mind. It can also lead to possible eating disorders and obsession over weight and health. The goal here is to allow yourself some freedom. It is to accept the way you are and make only necessary boundaries for yourself, and leave the rest up to your whims. If you are one of the type that is opposite this explanation like I started this topic out with and you deny routine, try adding a little structure to your life here and there and you might find yourself benefiting from it. Relax, essentially, is the key word. Your physical wounding doesn’t need to add to emotional wounding. Free yourself of the worry and RELAX.

Ceres in the 11th House
You are a very nurturing friend, and you nourish friendship and create extended family situations for your loved ones. May be involved in support groups or collective child care situations. You foster idealism and humanitarian values.

Pallas in the 9th House
You could be an educator, or a political or social activist. Your creativity and wisdom are involved with the issues of ideologies, belief systems, or the legal system. International involvement is possible, or your philosophy may have global implications.

Juno in the 7th House
Lifelong, intimate partnerships are a primary emphasis for you, whether they be marital, business or professional relationships. Interaction and cooperation are crucial. Your primary relationships will be marriage, partnership or other close one-to-one encounters.

Vesta in the 7th House
You are very devoted to your primary one-to-one relationship, and issues of balance will be your area of challenge. There may be conflicts over the issues of independence vs. interdependence, and the lessons of cooperation and compromise are crucial to your path.

Node in the 7th House
The traditional interpretation of north node in 7th house is good luck in marriage and partnership. It also means an important role for nieces, nephews, and children (especially the second child). Conversely, it can also signify a troubled early life.

Marriage and partnership may not have been comfortable for you at first. Lifetimes of individual achievement and independence make it more natural for you to go it alone and value your unique identity. You may be divorced or separated. Perhaps you have never married, because of your tendency to remain apart.[1] However, as reluctant as you may be or have been to commit to another, marriage and partnership are part of your spiritual journey. You are here in this lifetime to learn to give with the whole heart, asking nothing of others in return. If you have not been successful in your relationships, most likely you were falling back on the old habit of trying to just get by. You may have most likely not been doing the minimum to keep a partner around. Put the needs of others first and you will be amazed at how the universe supports you.

You had many incarnations as a loner. You came into this world with a pioneer spirit. This may be seen by others as a sense of embattlement. Some will perceive you as disloyal, since you are so reluctant to invest in your relationships. However, as you grow in your spiritual development, you will find within yourself an amazing ability to give self-confidence to others. Martin Schulman attributes to native with this north node in 7th house nodal placement an ability to “give others the will where there was none” and to make them aware of their own self-worth.

You may wonder how to begin your journey of putting others first. It starts with developing the habit of detaching from yourself and recognizing the egoistic ways of your past (either previous lifetimes or childhood). You will soon learn the rewards of focusing your energy on someone other than yourself. As you take the emphasis off you and put it on the other, the habits of kindness and understanding will develop naturally. These behaviors will help you formulate appropriate goals for your relationships. Donna van Toen sees as the major issue for natives with the North Node in 7th House: “This person is torn between involvement at any cost and preservation of his or her highly comfortable image of self as a good or beautiful person.”

The core issue for you is the right balance between self and others. As you reach for your North Node, strive to be sure that every arrangement is a win-win. Both sides should benefit from any bargain. Check your tendency to assert yourself at all times. Seek the balance proclaimed by your nodal brother Norman Vincent Peal: win friends and influence people. Other famous people who share the north node in 7th house placement are Malcolm X, Barack Obama, the current Dalai Lama, Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth II, and Woodrow Wilson. All of these luminaries are known for their autonomy, but also a great deal of charm.

Permanent relationships require tact, diplomacy, strategy, and above all fair dealing. Obligations, limitations, and even boredom are part and parcel of long-term commitments to others. However, as you compromise and cooperate with partners you will find that your investment is more than returned. Most partners look for reciprocity. You will find much more than that with your north node in 7th house.

The north node in 7th house is also known as Dragon’s Head in the Seventh House and Dragon’s Tail in the First House.

Lilith in the 2nd House
(A little about lilith: In a man's chart, Lilith reveals what type of woman he 'fears' & the type of woman that can drive him over the edge, often to despair. She may also represent hidden power struggles & unresolved issues with women in his life.) LILITH IN THE 2nd HOUSE directs efforts on hedonistic activities and the acquisition of property. Quickly you succumb to material temptations, and you accumulate properties. You probably don't recognize the problems coming along with that, or you don't want to admit them at all, you don't react, but look for harmony and have a sense of art. Perhaps you regret it soon, if you commit yourself in a partnership, especially if you went into financial dependence.

Fortune in the 7th House
Happiness is found in important human relationships that give a sense of direction and meaning to life. With this placing, luck and good fortune usually come through other people.

The Aspects

Conjunctions
Mercury Conjunction Uranus
You are an independent thinker with progressive ideas. Many of you are brilliant in your own way, able to grasp a wide variety of topics with speed, although not always understood. Your thinking is often ahead of your time. You speak with honesty, and you can be very stubborn about it -- you say what you think and if it doesn't go over well, it's not something that causes you much concern. You don't obediently accept rules, especially social ones, and prefer to work at your own pace. You might resent having to follow codes, and you have a strong distaste for taking part in mental tasks that you don't totally believe in. You don't like to "fake" anything, and this can be challenging in the school years when you might frequently be called on to write about topics that don't interest you. Your mental energy and output is quite variable, as you prefer to work when inspired. You are a very interesting conversationalist, offering unusual opinions and perspectives. You are not always in touch with yourself, and should take time to reflect so that you don't attach yourself to ideas that are based more on instigating and challenging established thought than on what you truly believe. You are easily bored, especially by routine tasks. Your thoughts, and possibly speech, can be scattered and disorderly, although you generally know where everything is even if it doesn't appear to be the case. You dislike hypocrisy, and truth is important to you above all else.

You get a new idea every minute and have difficulty waiting to express it. You are truly innovative and original in your thought process. While you are nervous, you do have good mechanical aptitude. If you can get control of your hands and mind, you can be quite inventive. You have a love for technical subjects and do your best work while blazing new trails on the frontiers of knowledge. Most of your difficulties stem from situations that require you to be regular, ordinary, and consistent, conforming to everyone else's procedures. Unfortunately for you, a certain amount of traditional training is necessary or no one will understand how good your ideas really are. You have a flood of New Age information in you. You need to find a way to express it.

Mercury Conjunction Venus
You are charming and gracious, poetic in your self-expression, and usually very polite. This position brings refinement to the nature and an appreciation for the arts. You aim to balance and bring harmony to your world. You can be, at times, quite indecisive, as you tend to see everyone's point of view, and can see value in almost any perspective or opinion. You have a strong sense of fairness.

You are very agreeable and enjoy socializing. Some with this aspect are a little on the lazy side, preferring to socialize than work.

You might intellectualize or rationalize your feelings, perhaps thinking a little too much about love and relationship to the point that you lose touch with how you truly feel. You might be attracted to, or attract, intellectual sorts as partners. If this conjunction is challenged, you might frequently attract partners who are tricky or conniving.

Many of you are talented at writing and/or speaking. You thoroughly enjoy the written and spoken word, literature, wordplay, puns, and enlightening conversations. Many with Mercury conjunct Venus in their charts are downright eloquent.

While most people like you, your ability to tune in to the person with whom you are currently speaking to is so strong that you might be accused of being two-faced or superficial. You might also choose your words carefully in order to avoid conflict, and others might not know how you truly feel as a result.

You get along with most people and are usually willing to make compromises in relationships to maintain harmony. That doesn't mean you become a doormat for others, but you have a strong sense of fairness and do not offend others without just cause. Others are seldom threatened or intimidated by you, largely because of your affable nature and social grace. You are willing to listen to anyone's opinions and suggestions before making major decisions.

Direct competition may be uncomfortable for you, and you may feel more at ease working with a small group of people. Perhaps you enjoy public speaking or performing in the dramatic arts. Another possible source of satisfaction for you would be writing, because of your natural talent for expressing yourself well. You have an imaginative mind and are clever at cooking up schemes to improve your economic situation. It is not difficult for you to turn your many creative ideas into ready cash.

Others will usually support you in what you do because they can see that you exercise good judgment. They can believe in you and are glad to pitch in to help you succeed. Just be sure you don't ask anyone else to take risks you yourself wouldn't attempt. Actually, any chances that you take will be well considered and are probably not that risky after all.

In love relationships, you have a talent for communicating your needs and desires to your partner. You are attracted to people who share your artistic talents or at least an appreciation of the arts. The worst possible mate for you would be one who is socially uncouth. In sex you have a healthy open attitude and can discuss the subject rather easily with your partner. Verbal expression during sex can be very stimulating for you! A lover who doesn't communicate or who is quiet in bed may not be very satisfying for you in the long haul.

Venus Conjunction Uranus
People with a Venus-Uranus conjunction in their natal charts are usually very magnetic, intriguing, and dynamic individuals. They value friendship in love and sincerity of feelings is the most important quality for them. These are people who will turn their nose at marriage, saying that it's how people feel about each other that counts more than a marriage certificate. Although friendly and usually quite willing to make friends with people from all walks of life, there is an impersonal and noncommittal manner to them that is unmistakable. They despise social pretenses. Despite the fact that they firmly believe that popularity is much less important than sincerity, they are often rather popular people. They love to be different, and in many ways they are open-minded when it comes to love and romance. Still, they can be quite argumentative and sometimes uncooperative--even downright inflexible--when it comes to their own "inner code" and honoring it. They are not as adaptable to others' expectations of them as their freedom-loving beliefs might imply. In other words, although they easily accept many different people into their lives, they cling tightly to their own ways of living. Some fear compromise, seeing it as a loss of self or a loss of individuality. Their taste and "style" is different and original. This can extend to choice of dress as well as taste in art, furniture, movies, and so forth. Sometimes Uranus is projected, and the partners that these people are attracted to display the Uranian traits of independence, originality, unreliability, inconsistency, and freedom-loving. Ex-lovers of Venus-Uranus natives may complain that these people didn't truly value the relationship. In love and with regards to the erotic, the most appealing things can be what hasn't been done or what "shouldn't" be done. Mixing things up and experimentation are important to Venus-Uranus people.

Alternate, short interpretations: *You are excitable, spontaneous, and easily aroused emotionally and sexually. You fall in love very quickly and have little self-restraint or concern for propriety when your feelings have been stirred. However, it may be difficult for you to sustain a relationship after the first rush of excitement wanes, especially if your partner is basically a conservative person who does not like to change or experiment. Nontraditional relationships appeal to you, and personal freedom is highly important to you.

#Once you find the spiritual teaching that suits you, you are totally and forever hooked into it. Until that happens, you may start and end many times. When you are on the right path, beginnings and endings around you become cyclical milestones in the development of your personal belief system.

Jupiter Conjunction Uranus
The expansionary characteristics of Jupiter tend to merge well with the forward-orientated direction of Uranus; and the essential personality outlook should be optimistic and positive. You will tend to believe that there is always 'something good' waiting for you just around the corner, a faith that your future will be rewarding. In some ways, this can become a self-fulfilling prophecy; a positive mental attitude attracts your dreams towards you, enabling their manifestation to proceed more smoothly. There are likely to be sudden or surprising opportunities arising in your life, which offer the potential of development and expansion. The opening of new horizons can be personal, through relationships and family, educational, through further study, or financial and business ventures. You may have to be ready to take full advantage of these, as they can occur sometimes without any conscious effort expended in creating new potential expressions. You will be very attracted towards exploring human knowledge. You have an avid curiosity; and you believe that all knowledge that you acquire offers more mental freedom and interest, and more personal power, and greatly enriches life. Often, you develop a personal programme for further study in specific areas of enquiry. This is so you can gain some expertise, so that the information absorbed can be used as a foundation and springboard to launch some kind of project whereby you are able to exploit your own personal potential. You like to create options and alternatives that you could follow, if you so choose, and often mentally build a variety of potential schemes and projects. The problem may lie in being able or willing to actually manifest any of them. Sometimes a fertile mind can circle around a multitude of attractive ideas, yet fail to develop any of them. A more one-pointed discipline may be required. It is likely that in your quests for expansion and growth you will begin to ally yourself with those more progressively minded people and groups devoted to social change. New political thinking and social alternative lifestyles will attract, especially as your bias will be against the established traditional social order. You will have a reformist outlook, not excessively radical or revolutionary, but still more future-directed than the majority. As an independent thinker, you will serve as an advocate for new horizons in life; and in sowing such seeds you can help to enrich lives by encouraging others to break free of those limiting, stagnating patterns of life. You welcome the new and unknown; you experience littler fear when the winds of change begin to blow, and are ready to embrace their liberating influence.

Mercury Conjunction Jupiter
Those with a conjunction of Mercury and Jupiter in the natal chart speak warmly, grandly, and rarely sparingly! They express themselves with openness and enthusiasm (unless Saturn is involved with the aspect). They are dreamers, and often assess any given situation with perhaps too much confidence and optimism. They are natural teachers, with an unmistakable warmth and breadth of knowledge, although they can also be long-winded and come across as opinionated. The truth is, these people are simply enthusiastic about sharing information with others. They are tolerant and broad-minded, at least in theory. Although they may come across as "know-it-alls" at times, if you dig deep, you will find they are very charitable souls with a love of learning...and perhaps even more so, a love of spreading the information they have learned.

Their thirst for knowledge is insatiable, but they often gloss over details, preferring to focus on the "big picture". They make truly exciting conversationalists for those who tire of simple small talk. These people usually have a lot to say about religion, philosophy, the law, education--anything that involves the advancement of humanity. Unless the conjunction is seriously afflicted, people with this aspect are generally well-respected not only for their knowledge, but for their integrity. Their wit and expressiveness are unmistakable. They are usually more than willing to lend a hand and to support others.

They visualize in broader terms and see the "big picture" rather than the picky little details. They are prone to exaggerating the facts due to enthusiasm.

People with a natal Mercury-Jupiter conjunction can be procrastinators. Although they are never short on big ideas, the implementation of these ideas (especially the detail work) might be better left to someone else. Routine, detail work, and other such "mental drudgery" is simply not their cup of tea. Even so, their enthusiasm may lead them to take on more projects than they can handle. With an exceedingly frank and straightforward manner, these people can put their foot in their mouths often enough, as subtlety is not their strong point! (Saturn or the Moon involved with the conjunction will add subtlety and comedic talent). If they exaggerate, it is likely due to their own over-estimation and their love of entertaining others through their stories. In other words, it comes naturally and the intent is not to deceive or mislead.

Venus Conjunction Jupiter
Whether these natives are shy or outgoing, law-abiding or reckless, quiet or loud...they possess a very grand idea of love, and they have an indulgent side to them that is unmistakable, and possibly hard to control. Jupiter expands whatever it touches, and in this case, it's enlarging the qualities of Venus: romance, relationship, pleasure, and money. This doesn't necessarily mean that all of these things will come easily to natives with a Venus-Jupiter conjunction. But the appetite for pleasure, romance, and, in some cases, material things, is big. Their hearts are big too--most of the time, if given a choice, they'll opt for the high road. They are generous with people they love (and with themselves!), dangerous with a credit card, and incurable romantics. They tend to assign positive traits to the people they love, whether those people deserve them or not!

One of their weak spots is their love of pleasure. Some have a definite lazy streak. They are very affectionate people who are generous with their emotions and, usually, their pocketbook too. When they care about you, they are quite loyal and faithful. Their opinions about love and friendship are strong--they generally have lofty ideals in these areas. Their hearts are open and they have a tendency to want to give a lot to the people they love. They may live beyond their means, especially if the conjunction is challenged by other planets. They need to learn not to borrow from their future.

They have a greater than average need to grow in their love relationships, and to shower their partners with acceptance and warmth. They have a strong need for growth, good humor, and fun in their relationships. They have a marked disdain for insincerity, placing great value on people with good intentions and good hearts. They do whatever they can to make those around them feel comfortable, accepted, and of value exactly as they are.

The pursuit of wisdom parallels the pursuit of love in your life. Any conflict in love relationships causes you to consider your spiritual values all over again. You may like the stage of falling in love with a spiritual idea so much that you choose to do it many times before you establish a solid foundation.

Sun Conjunction Saturn
This is a rather sober aspect. Those born under a Sun conjunct Saturn aspect, in their youth, are humbled in some way such that they do not feel free to express their will in an outgoing and direct manner. As children, their expressions of their ego were thwarted, which led to some self-consciousness regarding self-expression. They were painfully aware that what they wanted, they didn't always get. As adults, they do not feel comfortable as the center of attention. For whatever reason, people with this aspect in their natal charts feel the need to control their impulses. It is easy for them to assume responsibility for more than most.

Eventually, Sun-Saturn people carve their own identity. There is a strong need to be recognized as accomplished, but some fear of the spotlight at the same time. These people can be hard on themselves, as they aim to achieve perhaps more than most. The face of Saturn is generally serious, but Sun-Saturn people can also have a hilariously sarcastic sense of humor. They are not the types to jump up and down, dramatize, or let loose. They wouldn't be described as "bubbly" or enthusiastic. Generally, they come across as somewhat skeptical and pessimistic, cautious, and slightly reserved. There is a distinct streak of the conservative in these people. Some are rigid and strict, expecting others to live up to their high standards. However, most people with this aspect are simply very aware that life has its limitations. They are not afraid of responsibility, and probably take on more than their fair share of it. The best thing about this aspect is that the serious and reserved expression characteristic of their youth gradually relaxes with time and with age. Sun-Saturn people loosen up with maturity.

Sun Conjunction Venus
The qualities of the planet Venus are aligned with these people's egos, so that they project the traits of Venus powerfully. Social relationships are extremely important to those with Sun conjunct Venus in the natal chart. They are generally charming people who possess an easy-going manner. It is generally quite important to these people to be personally popular, to come across in a pleasant way, and to be liked and appreciated. Sometimes, vanity is part of the package. Venus is a peace-making, harmony-loving planet, and those with Sun conjunct Venus do their best to seek peace and harmony. If you want things to go smoothly, call upon a Sun conjunct Venus person to restore balance. They are diplomatic and veritable experts at smoothing over (and sometimes glossing over) problems. They are openhanded with others, tolerant and accepting. When expressed negatively, they can be superficial and two-faced, and they can be very much tied up with appearances—their own, and sometimes others'. They might be too agreeable, too pleasant (at the expense of honesty), and downright lazy at times. These people have a fine eye for style and enjoy pleasing surroundings. They generally dress well and enjoy a certain amount of luxury.

These people are gracious. They are romantic and sometimes romantically impulsive. They tend to rely on the power of attraction to bring people to them, rather than aggressively pursuing love interests. There is some vanity involved here—they are most attracted to people who express interest in them, or who respond well to their charms! These are not the types of people who overtly pursue people who appear to be indifferent to them—something that Sun-Mars people might do. They are not competitive people in the aggressive sense of the word, and they are not people who love a good chase. Instead, they work their charms and draw people to them. Remember that their ability to attract others (Venus) is very much tied up with their ego (Sun).

Because Venus rules all things feminine, both sexes with this aspect tend to be quite attractive. Women generally find men with Sun conjunct Venus very pleasing and charming. They sense the value these men place on the feminine. Women with this placement possess an unmistakable and strong femininity.

Sun Conjunction Mercury
Because the ego and the mind are aligned, people with Sun conjunct Mercury possess much mental energy. They are always in a position to think about what they want, and in many ways, this is an interruption of the will. Mercury brings definition to whatever it contacts, and when aligned with the Sun, the natives apply logic and definition to the will--and the will generally works better when it is allowed to "just be" rather than be analyzed. The result is much intelligence and communication ability, and a lot of pride invested in the intellectual capacities. These people may not listen as well as they speak, however! They might be too busy thinking about what to say next. As far as studying or learning goes, they are better off reading the material than listening to a teacher. These traits come from a strong need to take an active role in communications. It is very hard for these people to passively listen and absorb information.

Their opinions are usually strong and they are independent thinkers. They tend to be proud of their opinions and their thoughts, and might easily get a bruised ego if they are not "heard", if their opinions are pushed aside or ignored, or if their opinions are criticized. Sun conjunct Mercury people are expressive and, in some cases, very animated speakers.

Sun Conjunction Uranus
It is natural for those born under the Sun conjunct Uranus aspect to question tradition. These are individualists. They naturally rebel against that which is established. It doesn't mean that they consistently break all the rules, but they definitely do question some of the rules, especially those that simply don't make much sense to them. These people have a huge distaste for routine. They work best when they have some say as to when and how they get things done.

Sun conjunct Uranus people possess much self-integrity. They prefer to answer to no one except themselves. They avoid labeling people and are most offended when others attempt to label or stereotype them. Although progressive, they can be maddeningly stubborn at times. They do enjoy a certain level of excitement in their lives, and they do accept change as exciting, and they do appear to be quite open-minded--yet on a personal level, they can stubbornly stick to their ideas and they will resent anyone who tries to push them into doing something they really don't want to do.

The Sun, as the ego, meets Uranus, the reformer. The result is a person whose identity rides strongly on being unique. Compare them to someone else, and these apparently open-minded, freedom-loving people can quickly turn livid. This is when these "free spirits" redefine the word temperamental. There, you've done it--you've found their weak spot. If you place them in a class of their own, on the other hand, they're happy as can be.

These people are inventive, creative, and spirited. They perhaps appear more flexible than they are. On paper, at least, they are open-minded. If things get too personal, however, they can be difficult to deal with. This is largely due to the fact that they cling very tightly to their personal space and their personal sense of freedom. Anything that seems to threaten their individuality pulls up resistance in these people. Sun conjunct Uranus people are refreshingly honest, highly independent, intuitive, and somewhat erratic or inconsistent. They are often described as quirky, and they are nothing if not interesting.

Sun Conjunction Jupiter
Unless Saturn is also involved with this aspect, individuals with Sun conjunct Jupiter in their natal charts are enthusiastic and optimistic. They truly expect the best—from themselves, from others, and from life. They prefer to see the good in the world.

Their confidence in everything turning out all right can also get them into some trouble. Over-indulgence in food or drink, gambling, shopping—whatever their pleasure—is a high possibility, simply because these people can be procrastinators and put too much faith in life "fixing" things on its own. They might eat just for the sake of eating, indulge in expensive items temporarily forgetting the reality of the bill arriving the following month, and so forth. It can be hard for them to save money.

The truth is, many times it seems like these people have a guardian angel who sweeps in and saves their behinds, sometimes at the very last minute. They tend to "get away with" more than most people. But inevitably they'll face some consequences for their excesses, such as an expanding waistline or growing debt.

Although not especially competitive, Sun conjunct Jupiter individuals have a cheerful outlook and tend to accomplish quite a bit. They are quite resourceful. They generally are able to win over others, as theirs is a nature that is willing to help out others rather than argue with them. They come across as fair, big-hearted, and sincere. Generous with their time and money, these people are easy to like. Because they tend to over-estimate their capabilities, they can promise more than they can deliver.

Some people with this aspect can be self-righteous and moralistic. Others express the teaching side of Jupiter. Still others are prone to exaggeration, although their stories are so interesting that people tend to overlook it.

Although largely positive and optimistic, Sun-Jupiter people are not immune to depression. Although short-lived, their downs can be dramatic, simply because they are unprepared for these times.

Venus Conjunction Saturn
On a personal level, these people hold back free expression of their feelings, especially with regard to expressions of love. Mind you, they are masters of compromise, duty, and responsibility to their mates, and it is through this dedication that they do in fact express their love. Often, there is some form of deprivation in the childhood, associated with either mother or father, or both. Most commonly, the child absorbs something from the parents' relationship that results in a deep sense of obligation towards the mate and emotional reserve. Fear of letting go, enjoying the moment, and expressing love openly is strong. Although this aspect in classical astrology is associated with a delayed marriage or loneliness, I see it much more frequently in the charts of people who do indeed "partner", often early, and who stick to the relationship through thick and thin. Often, they are lonely even though they are partnered. Commonly as well, they bend to a demanding partner much of their lives. There is fear associated with love, and many people with this position struggle with a lack of confidence. One of their greatest fears is rejection. Another reason why they might remain loyal to a challenging marriage can be a fear of letting down family and of what he or she feels would be a blow to the reputation. Sometimes, material concerns are connected with relationships. Some stick to relationships because they give them a sense of material security. Self-sacrifice is extremely common with this position. However, even though they crave more than anything to be loved unconditionally, their conviction that they won't get that kind of love keeps them from really trying to find it. With Saturn, there is a simultaneous fear of failure and fear of success that keeps people from feeling free or brave enough to go after what they truly want.

There can be a somewhat detached manner, and many people with this aspect (especially men) can come across as skeptical, matter-of-fact, and even superficial on a social level. They are masters at protecting their feelings, and do whatever they can to avoid letting others know of their vulnerabilities. Of course, this kind of defense mechanism further prevents them from finding happiness in love. It is so very hard for them to let down their defenses. They'll need to really know where they stand with you before they can feel at least somewhat safe. Negative expectations in love must be handled in order to begin work on handling this aspect. The good news with Saturn is that its energy is handled better with time and maturity. These people should make a conscious effort to evaluate their behavior. If they admit to themselves that they do in fact want and need to be loved by a partner, they can work on slowly dropping their defenses. For example, keeping loved ones at arm's length and pretending that you are just fine on your own isn't going to encourage intimacy. Jumping to negative conclusions or withdrawing emotionally when an expression of warmth is not received exactly as you intended is not going to help either. It's also a good idea to examine the choice of partners. There can be an unconscious attraction to people who love you for all the wrong reasons--for superficial or material reasons. Maintaining "business-like" love relationships somehow keeps people with these aspects feeling safe, but they unfortunately perpetuate a deep feeling of loneliness and unworthiness.

With the conjunction, and especially with supporting aspects from other planets, these people have every opportunity to advance in their chosen career. Business sense is strong, especially in the areas of finance and the arts. Commitment, whether to a pet project, a job, a business, or a person, is characteristic.

Alternate interpretations:

*Intimacy does not come easily to you and you may appear cold or unfeeling to others due to your emotional reserve and caution. Perhaps due to painful relationships and separations in your early life, you do not trust others very easily and it takes a long time to take down all of your barriers and defenses. You may feel that you have few friends or people that really care about you. You need to learn to value and love yourself more and to express your appreciation for others more openly.

#You are reserved. You don't jump into a spiritual practice any more than you jump into a love relationship. You may do best with a spiritual teacher who is much older or younger than yourself. You accept endings as a necessary part of life.

Mercury Conjunction Saturn
Saturn connected to a personal planet in hard aspect has a censoring effect on the planet involved. With Mercury in hard aspect to Saturn, whatever the person says and writes is self-censored to some degree. It's hard for these people to pour out their emotions, no matter how emotional or needy they feel on the inside. This is because they are always aware of what others might think of them with what they say. They are not necessarily deliberate talkers or thinkers. In other words, they don't always pick and choose their words carefully or speak slowly. However, they are careful with what they reveal to others. They make plenty of disclaimers, and often come across as negative or sarcastic without intending to. These are people who review conversations they've had with others, and who often kick themselves for saying something they didn't intend to, or for not saying something witty. Saturn tends to have a hobbling effect, and when it's attached to the planet of communication in hard aspect, there can be some feelings of insecurity about how we speak and communicate in general. These people tend to worry about what they've said and how they could have said it better. Some older astrology texts suggest that there can be learning disorders or "slowness" with this aspect, but this is rarely the case. In fact, many people with this aspect are very strong academically. The flow of their communication is blocked in some manner, however, and this is due to an automatic "self-censoring" tendency. Self-consciousness and hypersensitivity is experienced with regards to their intelligence and ability to get ideas across to others, especially in youth. These people need plenty of positive feedback from others in order to feel more confident and less "blocked".

If you have this aspect in your chart, recognize that you are most likely harder on yourself about how you communicate than others are. Ask people close to you for an objective point of view. Chances are, they find you to be astute, intelligent, and an effective speaker or writer. We often tell our kids "don't worry about what others think", but telling this to a person with a hard Saturn aspects is not enough, nor is it realistic. They will worry. Instead, I have found that the best way to handle difficult Saturn aspects is to get objective feedback from others! Mercury-Saturn people don't accept compliments whole-heartedly, yet they crave them and need them. Others around them tend to stop complimenting them, feeling that they either don't need compliments or don't want to hear them. Nothing can be further than the truth!

Alternate interpretation: Mercury/Saturn aspects indicate intellectual discipline, a serious outlook, good powers of concentration, and a knack for logical reasoning. You don't take things for granted, and you generally need empirical evidence to overcome your native skepticism. Not content with superficial understanding, you prefer to study subjects in depth. Some with this aspect prefer to work alone or in a quiet setting. Mathematical ability and a knack for working with figures are often present. Your work habits are careful, tenacious, methodical, and industrious. You are probably quite organized, hard working, and proficient at dealing with rules, regulations, fine points, and details. Writers with this aspect are typically masters of grammar and style. There is frequently great ambition, self-control, and a willingness to labor hard and long to achieve your goals. Others view you as honest, prudent, diligent, and cautious. This aspect is common in the charts of teachers, military leaders, and politicians.

If this conjunction forms stressful aspects with other planets, it can indicate lack of self-confidence, unwillingness to admit mistakes, and a proneness to depression. Children may have problems learning and difficulties in school. You may suffer hardships in your life that lead you to become cunning, bitter, cynical, callous, narrow-minded, or hard-hearted toward others. Shyness or social awkwardness is often present, and the tension associated with the aspect commonly manifests as acid indigestion.

Saturn Conjunction Uranus
During the twentieth century, the conjunction aspect was made during 1942 and in 1988. It offers the possibility of an effective balance between these two antagonistic planets. Apart from those born under this aspect, the energy released into the collective mind at these times can aid in the interplay between forces of order and chaos, conceivably bringing the opposites into equilibrium and allowing a space for something new to be born. For the individual with this aspect, there should be the ability to fuse ideas with practical application, to ground and anchor those sometimes slightly intangible and ephemeral Uranian ideas, thus transferring the, from the level of mind into material existence. You should be able to take advantage of your personal resources and talents; and these can be effectively expressed through efficient organization. The flow of Uranian energy should seem more consistent and reliable; and you will be able to apply persistence and focused will to achieve your objectives. Often, you will find enjoyment from becoming involved in situations where you can create order from chaos. Whilst this may appear Saturnian in nature, Uranus is not chaotic for the sake of it, but is only disruptive in order to create the conditions for a higher order to be superimposed. You can function in a 'bridging role', carefully restoring a balance between order and change, and re-integrating this into a new structure which is an improvement on the previous one. In modern life, where so many changes are occurring so quickly, such a role can be most important, and utilizes both of these planetary characteristics in a positive way. You have a sympathetic understanding of the past, and of the values and attitudes of conservative stability, yet also intuit and appreciate the necessity of change and evolving of social structures, organizations and individual development. You will try to integrate these threads, uniting what is worth retaining from the past with the ideas of the next step forward. Doing this, you work with both your intellect and intuitional faculties, and so reflect the next stage in human development towards the consciousness of unity. You are likely to prefer a form of expression that involves a social contribution over and above mere participation in society; you would like to feel that you have some influence in improving things, and that your preoccupation is not totally for personal gain. This need can often give you a sense of direction in your life, and one which can absorb both of these planetary energies. If you begin to feel that you are having to keep down inner pressures of certain kinds, perhaps through a lack of channels to release them into, then it is a likely sign that you are not fluently expressing both the energies. Look at your life pattern and see which one is being repressed. In most cases, this would be the Uranus energy, as the Saturn energy, which is one of order and discipline, is often expressed through social conditioning. To free this blocked energy, more spontaneity, more experimentation, and exploration of new interests, would help. These would stimulate needed changes to happen, and so break down any fixed lifestyle patterns that are becoming inhibiting. If the Saturn energy is repressed, more self-discipline, commitment and perseverance to achieving your objectives would help. If the lifestyle lacks control, too much freedom could also lead to a loss of personal centre and stability, leaving you feeling lost and unsure of what to do or in which direction to travel. You will need to draw through the Saturn qualities of boundary-making and structure, so that your life and inner nature begin to take distinct form again, creating a stable foundation from which to work.

Jupiter Conjunct Saturn
You have a conservative streak in you that is seeking the lowest common denominator. You get to your goal in life and accomplish much by slow, tenacious effort. Your life really takes off between the ages of 27 and 36. It is during this time that you "find yourself". Your success is directly linked to the success of the culture. You rise and fall with the fortunes of everyone else. Seeing this principle in operation, perhaps you can pace yourself so that you don't waste time and energy trying to push your own life forward faster than the country or the social order can assimilate it. -- Interpretation from the Indra report.

*Your aspirations and dreams are always tempered by realism and practical considerations. You pursue your aims in a systematic, disciplined, and thorough manner, and you are willing to take your time, advancing slowly and steadily on your way to your goal.

Sometimes you underestimate what is possible, and hold yourself back unnecessarily due to a lack of faith or an overly cautious attitude.

#Patience is the key ingredient to management of change in your life. You have survived many previous changes, and your spiritual future will doubtless include some more. You make progress in seclusion.

~This aspect occurs about every nineteen years, lasts for a considerable period, and thus affects large numbers of people born during these times. In general, it indicates a period of law and order, and people born under it are pillars of society, quietly and nobly ambitious to succeed, but willing to do so only in an orthodox and utterly honorable fashion. If you have this aspect you are conventional, orderly, proud, aspiring, with a quiet dignity about you that impresses your friends. In whatever sphere you may be you are supported and made prosperous and secure to some extent.
If you also have Moon conjunct/sextile/or trine Jupiter, or Sun conjunct/sextile or trine Jupiter: You will rise to considerable honor, or even fame, though you will have a long apprenticeship to serve before your value and worth are recognized. You are eager for recognition but hate notoriety, so your recognition when it comes will rest on secure foundations.
If you also have Mars square or opposition Saturn: You have a swifter rise, more aggressive nature, and less certain tenure of public approval.
If you also have Mars sextile or trine Saturn, or Jupiter sextile or trine Uranus, or Jupiter sextile or trine Neptune: There is a probability of wealth.
This position is somewhat late in bringing its benefits, generally not being felt until after the thirtieth year, except in setting the mold of your personality and your ambitions; but after this it works steadily on your side. Positions of influence are most likely - government, army, ministry, the law. You may be an author, leaving your imprint on literature for generations.

Opposite

Moon Opposite Saturn
When Moon is in hard aspect to Saturn in the natal chart, natives need to learn to trust others more. Fear keeps them from fully enjoying personal relationships, and fear is behind the occasional rigidity that they express. When they let themselves receive nurture or care from others, an inner voice cautions them that it might not be sincere, long-lasting, or enough! There can be some reluctance about becoming a parent, but once taken on, these people don't take their responsibility lightly.

Emotional reticence is the main theme of these aspects. Many people with this aspect had a lot of conditions placed on the love they received in early childhood. They tend to expect the same later in life. With hard Saturn aspects, individuals are often plagued with doubts, not only about the self but about what to expect from life itself. The problem is that expecting difficulties or negative situations creates an aura around them that perpetuates the problem. They must work hard at positive thinking and expecting more from life. Ironically, many people with hard Saturn aspects can be quite sarcastic, skeptical, and rigid in manner. This is essentially a defense mechanism designed to protect themselves from harshness in the world.

It is extremely likely that they feel neglected because they perceive it in the first place, and later expect it, to be the case. There's a vicious circle going on here that can only be broken when the patterns created by negative conditioning are broken. Adjusting one's perceptions and expectations is the key to breaking out of these negative patterns. Otherwise, natives of hard Moon-Saturn aspects will live life feeling left out--attracting circumstances that perpetuate a feeling of deep unhappiness and dissatisfaction.

Sun Opposite Moon
People born when the Sun opposes the Moon have an internal struggle between their needs and their wants. In contrast to the Sun-Moon conjunction personality, the Full Moon personality is inclined towards lack of focus and indecision. Their ability to be objective is both an asset and a liability, simply because when they decide on one route, they are pulled in another direction at the same time. Something tugs at them, and they begin to question their stance. "But what if..." and "on the other hand..." are statements they can't help making and that plague them. While Sun conjunct Moon people have an Aries style about them, Sun opposition Moon natives have a distinct Libra energy about them, in that they are always aware of the opposing point of view, the other side of the coin, and so forth.

Their inner struggle is most obvious in their vitality, as both the Sun and the Moon strongly influence the vitality. They have many ups and downs, and it is hard to know if it is physical or emotional. In fact, it's likely both. These people might spend a week working hard, and the following week they lack motivation and find it hard to accomplish much. Their energy fluctuates more than most people, and it is very much a reflection of what is going on inside.

The messages they received in their early lives in terms of what was expected of them were conflicting, and even opposite. Some people born under the Full Moon viewed their parents as two very different and separate individuals who each wanted something very different from their child. Their parents or parent figures "stood for" two very different things, and their child internalized this. There may have been some emotional frustration in connection with the father and a stifling of the go by the mother.

It is hard for Sun opposition Moon people to find happiness within themselves. They tend to look outside of themselves for fulfillment. They are inclined to form serious relationships at an early age, simply because of this tendency to try to find an answer to happiness from an "other". They are prone to divorce, partly because of this prematurity, and partly because their needs are complicated. Full Moon people are also more apt to seek counseling because of this need to find answers.

These people appear to be very self-aware. They entertain a myriad of different points of view and perspectives. They are excellent psychologists and are able to read character and uncover motivations--but with an important caveat: if they are too emotionally close to the situation, they fumble. The truth is, although they appear to know much about how people tick, they spend a good part of their lives uncovering more of themselves and learning about themselves. Generally, this is done through comparisons or through the mirror of relationships.

They can most certainly frustrate the people who are close to them with their indecisiveness and frequent changes of mind (and of heart). A word to those who deal with this on a day-to-day basis: their changes of heart are not a form of insincerity--they are the result of an internal struggle that is very real and very confusing to live with! Sun opposition Moon people can be temperamental, insecure, and very sensitive. The ability to put themselves in someone else's shoes, and to consider other points of view, is a true asset. However, at some point in their lives, they need to uncover what it is they truly want. This comes easy to New Moon people, and can be a life-long struggle for Full Moon people. On the other hand, it is extremely easy for a Full Moon personality to understand others' points of view--something that doesn't come as easily to a New Moon personality. Sun opposition Moon people are generally interesting and complex. Born under a Full Moon, they can be a bit "loony", perhaps manifesting itself in a unique sense of humor.

Look for a planet that might trine and sextile the Sun-Moon opposition for a way to release the tension the opposition creates. Somehow, some way, through that planet, its sign, and its house position, the Sun opposition Moon person can find an "answer" to the struggle. Look also to the sign polarity involved for more details of the struggle. If it's Aries and Libra, for example, there is a conflict between two equal drives to be independent and to depend on others.

People born with a Sun-Moon tension can spend much of their lives struggling to balance the principles of the Sun and the Moon within their personalities, and will bring this struggle to some degree into their relationships. The urge to form meaningful relationships is generally powerful, but relationships can be as much of a struggle to these natives as the inner conflict is to themselves. This inner conflict occurs with the square, opposition, and quincunx. The desire to find meaningful relationships is stronger than it is when the natal Sun and Moon form a sextile or trine, and early relationships in particular can be challenging until the stressful aspects are recognized as an inner tension.

Pluto Opposite AS (Ascendent)
Pluto on the ascendant or within 5 – 10 degrees of an angle brings the god of the underworld’s energies out very strongly in the individual’s lives. The Ascendant/Descendant axis is one of relationship and Pluto rules taboo sex, so this combination is bound to breed love lives that feature anything from; fierce loyalty, deep love, protection, jealousy, secret affairs, possession, obsession, fetishes, bondage, S & M to the very worst abuse, violence, rape and crimes of passion. It rarely manifests as far as the end of that list thankfully. However Pluto’s life and loves are always going have a torturous feel about them, they wouldn’t feel alive if they didn’t. They get a kick of reinventing and regenerating themselves with each affair.

Taboo sex, death, stalkers and spies, yes they are all here as you would expect with the square pushing Pluto’s seething larva to the surface. Pluto is not embodied in the subject like the conjunction. Instead it plays out very strongly in relationships. On the surface this person is nothing like the Pluto archetype, they may even look quite fluffy. It is only when they become sexually involved that their stalking, obsessive, compulsive side becomes apparent, but by then its too late. Their partner is shocked when they wake up and find a great ball and chain clamped to their ankle. When did that happen? It’s not that Pluto in hard aspect to the Ascendant is really that controlling, what has happened is somehow they have seduced their lover into following them so far down into their black velvet labyrinth that they simply cannot find their way out again. In the process they have become so enmeshed with their Pluto partner that severance would seem like a very painful and messy operation. This clamping can work both ways, the subject plays either Pluto or Persephone, for while Pluto squares/opposes the AC it also squares/conjuncts the DC. Sometimes they flip from one to the other in successive relationships, feeling bullied in one marriage only to divorce and go onto and play the tyrant in the next. Taboo sex and fetishes seems to be a strong theme here and they may feel compelled to hide them or live a double life. If their sexual urges are suppressed then they can warp into violence or the rage can turn in on itself and result in mental illness. S & M may be a factor too. Hard aspects to Pluto sometimes feel like you have some massive karmic debt to pay off and that all relationships are “fated”.

Moon Opposite Venus
Because these people value harmony, they may find themselves giving in to others too easily, especially in the first half of life. Resentment is possible, as they feel that they are the ones who seem to do all the acquiescing. There can be a distinct tendency to become friends (and lovers) with people too readily, simply because there is a strong need for approval and a hunger for receiving affection. As such, these people may get involved with people who seem to really like them, and they don't consider whether they actually like them back! It's somewhat of a weakness, as these people are very charmed by the idea that someone seems to really like them and appreciate them. Generally, one of life's lessons for these people is to learn to discriminate more and to get in touch with what they truly want and need.

The functions of the Moon (which rules the emotions and feelings, amongst other things) and the functions of Venus (which rules social relationships, harmony, and partnership, amongst other things) are at cross-purposes. When these people attempt to feed the needs of one function, it is often at the expense of the other, until they find some sort of balance. This can play out in a variety of ways. For example, there can be conflicts in partnerships about parenting or whether or not to have a family. They can find themselves compromising their own emotional needs in order to find and keep love. Peace and harmony are important to these people--perhaps too much so, as they can easily be taken advantage of. Insecurity is something that these people need to deal with at some point in their lives.

Very sensual, people with Moon in hard aspect to Venus sometimes replace love with food or shopping! They are also usually quite sexually active and sometimes quite lustful. They are usually skilled in the arts. There is a distinct lazy streak. Most are able to work hard, but they truly appreciate luxuriating and enjoying as many pleasures as possible, and self-discipline simply isn't always at their disposal!

Moon Opposite Mercury
Moon square or opposition Mercury
There is a conflict here between the head and the heart. The emotions tell them one thing and the mind tells them something else. The result is a wavering, and a see-saw effect is most evident with the opposition--emotional to the point of irrationality at one moment, and logical the next. How to blend the head and the heart is a constant struggle for these individuals, usually because there is a tendency to resist blending them!

These people love to chat, enjoy story-telling and writing/poetry, and usually possess a sparkling wit! They are animated when they speak, and have a sense of humor that others appreciate simply because it's very imaginative. Some are especially adept at satire. You can usually tell their moods by how much they're talking. When nervous or excitable, they talk up a storm. Moodiness is a characteristic, definitely, and an especially subjective nature makes them prone to hypersensitivity. It usually has to do with the fact that they take in so very much from their environment. This is also one of the reasons why they tend to be indecisive. While Mercury conjunct Moon people tend to be quite consistently rational, the hard aspects of Moon-Mercury generate a swing between irrational and rational thoughts and feelings. This rarely transfers into action, however. It's pretty much something that takes place "upstairs" in the mind, although others are sure to see the struggle from time to time. These people are always interesting, and usually funny. They have a tendency to misrepresent themselves with what they say from time to time, but they're charming, if a little kooky, friends.

Moon Opposite Uranus
People with these aspects in their natal chart are studies in contradiction. When they are able to fulfill their emotional needs for closeness, support, and intimacy, another part of their personality rebels. They feel closed in, restricted, and uncomfortable with feelings of dependency. However, when they are left alone on an emotional level, they can feel left out. They begin to crave closeness and intimacy once again. They keep people at an emotional arm's length often enough, yet struggle with their emotional independence.

Daily routines feel too stifling for these individuals. They need to mix things up in order to feel creative and emotionally vital. Inconsistency is a result, and some level of domestic disorder is almost a guarantee. Living with them can be challenging for more orderly and systematic people!

People with Moon-Uranus hard aspects despise emotional pretense. They are adamant about expressing themselves honestly, which generally translates to "sporadically". If they don't "feel it", they simply won't do it. It can be challenging to pin them down at times--they will feel cornered. Don't take it too personally, however, because they not only rebel against your schedules, they rebel against their own as well! The fact is, when they try to bring more order to their lives, it can be hard to stick to a program, even if they were the ones who designed the program.

Their insistence on following their own intuition and "inner code" is admirable on one hand. In fact, they are generally quite proud of their emotional honesty. However, this honesty can be difficult for others to deal with at times. They are sometimes accused of selfishness as a result, although they don't see it that way at all. They are generally very creative people, although their creative output is sporadic. Whenever Uranus is strongly connected to a personal planet in the natal chart, you'll find this "stop-and-start" energy simply because these people live on intuition. Uranus intuition is not the same as Neptune intuition--it's more self-focused and has to do with being true to oneself.

More often than not, Moon-Uranus people had unusual early home lives. They may have been given an unusual amount of freedom as a child, or the converse. Whichever was the case, they insist upon a certain level of personal freedom as adults. Their experience of their mother figure may have also been erratic in the expression of nurture.

These people attract changes and disruptions into their domestic lives. They may not enjoy this fact, but if this is the case, they must examine their lives a little more closely. Consider a person who thinks to himself, "hey, my life has become pretty routine--even boring" and then shortly thereafter his life takes a sharp turn. The crises that he now faces may not seem like something he has literally asked for. However, with the Moon in hard aspect to Uranus, the basic energy is a basic need for emotional excitement. We may live with this basic need and not even recognize it. If we don't own it, we can attract upsetting emotional situations and disruptions into our lives. It's hard to know whether Moon-Uranus people embrace changes (these ones move house often, re-arrange their homes frequently, mix up their domestic routines every once in a while, and so forth) or resist them stubbornly. One thing is certain, however: the happiest people with this natal chart aspect recognize their need to do things differently with regards to how they approach family and home life.
You tend to be emotionally impulsive and instinctual. Your early upbringing may have been unusual in some manner, and possibly a tad unstable. This is not to say that you are unstable--just that your early experiences with home, family, and nurturing had some erratic quality that left an impression on you. Some people with this aspect moved frequently when they were young. Others had a mother or caregiver who marched to the beat of a different drummer. As a result, there is an inner dichotomy at work: you crave emotional intimacy, yet your need for independence is just as strong. Your desire to be cared for and your need for emotional independence are at odds with one another. This may not be as apparent to you as it is to others who you are close with. The key to this challenging aspect is integration. While you are young, you may struggle with this dichotomy, and you may need to do so in order to achieve some sort of understanding and inner peace later in life.

Perhaps much of your life, you struggle with routines and the "humdrum". When life becomes too routine, you rebel. Emotional excitement is important to you, and if you are not aware of this, you attract emotional upheavals in your life. This can be very upsetting to you, but you must learn why you are attracting these upheavals in the first place. You do not feel "ordinary", and do not want to live your life in an "ordinary" manner. If you are attracting upsetting emotional situations in your life, it may be because you are not looking for a healthy outlet for your need for emotional excitement.

You are an intensely creative and inventive person, but your creative expression may be erratic and irregular. You have spurts of energy and creativity that come in flashes. You have a hard time producing much of anything when you are called upon to do so, preferring to produce only when your spirit is ignited, not by some enforced schedule. Your domestic life may be somewhat irregular or unusual to outsiders. Self-discipline is somewhat lacking, mainly due to this inner need to be in tune with your spirit and a general resistance to being imposed upon.

This influence also indicates the possibility of higher than normal fluctuations in hormonal levels, which can also stimulate more profound emotional changeability. Those who are close to you probably recognize a cyclical level to your alterations in mood, and you can probably tie them to a cycle yourself if you pay attention. You may or may not decide to choose motherhood as an option, and may be more comfortable in non-traditional relationships. To maintain a relationship you need plenty of room to be yourself. And to be the kind of mother you want to be, you need to develop a supportive relationship with your children which has some levels of consistency. You may relate to teen-agers more easily than to small children.

Moon Opposite Jupiter
The charitableness of Moon-Jupiter aspects is here, but it is sometimes done to the natives' disadvantage. These people want to see the best in others, and are very quick to forgive and to accept others. Their big-heartedness, however, can go a little too far at times. They might promise a little more than they can deliver and although most will recognize their good intentions, they can quickly gain a reputation for not being very reliable or responsible.

In some cases, the mother or maternal figure was overindulgent with the child, and the natives are always hungry for emotional experiences. An inner restlessness is present in spades, and it can be difficult to satiate. If the mother figure was over-protective with the child, which is often the case, the natives grow up with a feeling either that they should protect others or that they should be protected or pampered. There can be some laziness and expectations that others should provide for them, even into adulthood. They can come up with ideas that are not very well-grounded, and believe in them fully, not follow through, and then jump on a new bandwagon. They can also tend to overstate their emotions. Often, they become emotionally "high" on something that is unrealistic, and when reality inevitably hits them, the "low" is just as powerful. Learning to temper their enthusiasm with realism and good judgment is essential in order to avoid this up and down cycle that can drain them of energy and spirit. They are usually humorous people with good hearts and they can be quite generous at times as well.

Square
Mars Square Jupiter
This aspect brings great impulsiveness, insatiable desires, playfulness, and daring. You might be frequently trying to prove yourself, to others and/or yourself, and thus readily take on a challenge. You desire exciting experiences and may rarely be satisfied with your life as it is. You require much space and freedom, and you demand to be treated with fairness. You need to be careful that your behavior is deserving of these liberties, and that you treat others with the same respect. Many people with this position tend to flee when angry. This is not because they are afraid of confrontation, because they certainly are not, but when they are frustrated, a deep inner restlessness is stirred. Some people with this position can be quite self-serving, often without even realizing it, demanding freedom and space from others but not necessarily returning the favor.

Another negative expression of Mars square Jupiter and Mars opposition Jupiter is a haughty or boastful attitude--some with this aspect in their birth charts feel they can get away with practically anything. Often they can, and even when they don't, they are quick to recover from losses. However, this is generally due to a tendency to turn a blind eye to what has happened. Here again is the tendency to flee rather than reflect. They are quick to forget or ignore their mistakes, thus the chances of repeating them run high!

Your impulsiveness combined with a competitive streak can incline you to gambling, not just with money. Your sex drive is considerable, and some with this position never feel they have enough, or enough experiences, which can lead to sexual promiscuity for some. You would benefit greatly from more time for self-reflection, as you don't always see your behavior clearly. When you don't learn from your mistakes, you repeat them.

You are attracted to adventure, exploration, and conquest. There is a real spirit of adventure with Mars-Jupiter aspects, but because these planets are in challenging aspect, there can be difficulty knowing when to stop, and slowing down long enough to feel satisfied with one's accomplishments. Dieters are encouraged to slow down while eating a meal so that they can know when they are full and satisfied. If they eat too quickly, they are likely to eat more than they need. Similarly, people with Mars in hard aspect to Jupiter would benefit from slowing down and reflecting on their experiences so that they avoid living life feeling they have never had enough. This can also help to avoid this position's tendency to be accident-prone. Males with this position might be difficult to domesticate! There can be exaggerated "masculine" traits, including an insatiable need to "hunt".

You are very resilient, bouncing back from any setback quickly and usually in a stronger position. You are quite playful and humorous, love to joke around, enjoy practical jokes, and are quick to smile and laugh.

Mars Square Uranus
You prefer to stand out in a crowd than to follow. Watch for a tendency to be stubborn or dogmatic, which can impede your progress in life and cause unnecessary delays or obstacles. You can be very temperamental, but you tend to get over things quickly. You might often be hasty, impatient, and impulsive.

Alternate, short interpretations: Mars square Uranus or Mars opposition Uranus: *Intensely restless, dynamic, and energetic, you are always on the go. When you want something, you want it NOW, and you act decisively, impulsively, sometimes hastily and prematurely. Impatient, high-strung, and often nervous and tense, you find it difficult to slow down, pace yourself, or relax. You are fiercely individualistic and independent, self-willed and intolerant of restraints and restrictions imposed by others. You have a reckless disregard for authority and can be extremely rebellious. Cooperating with others is not your strong point! You are often brutally frank and abrupt with people, and can be quite impersonal when you are pursuing a desired goal. You may have an explosive temper when your will is blocked. You have a superabundance of energy and need much personal freedom to do things in your own style and at your own pace.

#Your life is peppered with dangerous intersections where you may be physically injured. These very events, however, form the substance of your spiritual path. It takes courage to follow this independent path, and effort to maintain strong relationships as you do so. Intuition can be a great asset.

Mercury Square Mars
You can be quick on the trigger when it comes to verbal reactions to others, and you are not always courteous or tactful when it comes to expressing your opinions. You often take things quite personally, and your defensiveness can make it hard for others to have peaceful or productive conversations with you at times. You might often compete for the floor when it comes to expressing your ideas, thoughts, and opinions. You might often find yourself stirring up controversy with what you say, or how you say it.

You are very quick with your perceptions, and you might speak quickly and move quickly as well. You are an energetic worker, and you are excellent at rallying for what you believe in.

You are very witty, and often sarcastic. You are quick to offer an opinion and express your thoughts, often without much sensitivity. Some with this aspect in their charts are prone to lying. You love a good debate, but sometimes turn conversations that needn't be stressful into arguments.

Your mind is very sharp and critical, and you are insatiably curious. Your mind can be so quick that you are nervous, easily stressed, often over-stimulated, and prone to headaches. Impatience, especially while driving or operating machinery, could lead to accidents.

Venus Square Mars
Whether it's an infatuation or a full-blown love affair, relationships get these people out of bed in the morning. They are passionate people who seem to need an active romantic and sexual life to drive them. Often, this area of life is somewhat challenging, especially in youth. As much as they want to be involved in a passionate affair, their timing can be off and/or it's difficult to find a relationship that mirrors their strong desires and expectations. Especially when they are young, there can be a real awkwardness in their social skills--this may or may not be apparent to others, but these people most definitely feel it themselves.

These people are highly creative and generally are driven to express that creativity. Their passion for romance is often channeled into their creative output. For example, challenges in relationships may be a large part of the drive behind their poetry, music, or other art.

Love and hate are very much mixed together for people with Venus square or opposition Mars in their birth charts. They are prone to love-hate relationships with others, likely because their passions are such that the old saying "there's a fine line between love and hate" rings especially true. Some level of competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst is present in their relationships with the opposite sex. In some cases, abuse is present, either in the form of receiving or giving it. Although they are quick to anger, they are generally just as quick to forget about it.

In this lifetime the erotic impulses of human love, desire, and sexual relationships are a highly charged focus of your attention. Expressing your sexual energies and personal magnetic attractiveness in ways that are loving and respectful or at least not harmful to yourself and others will be one of your issues. Dominating others through your sexuality or allowing yourself to be dominated in this way is also a theme. Dissonance or turbulence in intimate relationships, especially over differences in sexual drives or needs, must be handled with care. Expressing your passion in ways that are compatible with your own values and sense of beauty is the key here.

On another level, balancing and integrating masculine and feminine energies within yourself is the challenge. Carrying or wearing watermelon tourmaline can be quite useful along these lines.

Sun Square Mars
There is an unmistakable competitiveness and a "me-first" attitude with those who have Sun square or opposition Mars in their natal charts. The fighter persona is most apparent in youth, when the child is described as a "bundle of energy", or it is remarked that he or she "can't sit still". The abundant energy generated by the hard aspects (especially the square) between the Sun and Mars is hard to direct in childhood. Later in life, ideally, those with these aspects have learned to channel some of their excess energy into productive avenues--perhaps through career, sports, or any area where competitiveness is considered an asset. Nevertheless, people with these aspects can meet up with more than their share of conflict, and they can most certainly rub people the wrong way. They are very motivated to get things done, to take action rather than simply talk about something, and to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Those who know them quite well might describe these people as hot-headed and temperamental at times. They are easily frustrated, and they're given to impulsive actions and assertion of their wills. If the aspect is found in cardinal signs, it gives impulsiveness and a short temper. If the aspect is found in fixed signs, the natives can be very hard-headed and willful. If it's in mutable signs, it gives a restless and frustrated impatience.

Essentially, those with Sun square Mars in their charts have faced conflict and are not particularly afraid of it. They have faced having their need to assert themselves blocked. Their parents may have done as much as they could to "tame" what they felt to be excess energy or aggression. In other words, they know all about conflict and blockages, so that when they are faced with a challenge or a roadblock, they don't run away from it or hide under the covers feeling sorry for themselves. They meet challenges head-on.

Trine

Venus Trine Neptune
Romantic, creative, gentle, and adaptable, people born with Venus sextile Neptune or Venus trine Neptune naturally express the finer qualities of mysterious and dreamy Neptune in their love relationships. Their imaginations are rich and their fantasy worlds well-developed. They are turned off by rudeness and crudeness, and are drawn to beauty in its many forms. They are very giving and generous, but may be a little on the submissive side, or sometimes downright lazy, failing to take the initiative when situations call for it.

The trine aspect is the more dynamic of these two harmonious aspects. Those with the sextile can call upon these traits when needed, and those with the trine between the Venus and Neptune have incorporated the traits of the aspect into their personalities, expressing them naturally and consistently.

Mercury Trine Neptune
You are creative, perceptive, and imaginative. You draw heavily on your imagination and intuition to come to conclusions and make decisions. You easily sense the thoughts and feelings of others, and you are adaptable in your communications as you pay attention to how your words are received. You express yourself with subtle flair, sensitivity, and perhaps some charming quirkiness. You have an appreciation, and perhaps talent, for photography, the arts, poetry, fiction, spirituality, advertising, and promotion. You are naturally open to metaphysical or spiritual concepts. You might believe in things that others discard, and some with this position at least seem a little naive or childlike. Many of you have psychic ability, or at least very good hunches.

The trine aspect is the more dynamic of the two harmonious aspects. Those with the sextile can call upon these traits when needed, and those with the trine between the Mercury and Neptune have incorporated the traits of the aspect into their personalities, expressing them naturally and consistently.

Uranus Trine Neptune
The trine aspect was made roughly during the period 1941-6, and features in the birth charts of a generation born daring war time. This tends to condition their perception of life and people, which in effect can sometimes veer towards pessimism and cynicism, especially if they were born in the early years of the trine when the world war was at its height and the result still hung in the balance. Underlying this is still the idealism of these planets, but with possibly insufficient personal faith in their actual manifestation, together with an ambiguity about their own personal role and responsibility in society. There can be a tendency to follow personal goals irrespective of social needs and obligations, and a preference for personal gain and ambitions. Yet this too can be a source of personal development, and it is still perhaps too early yet to be sure how such individuals will use any social power and influence that they may have acquired. As the trine is a reconciling factor, this generation could be seen as a 'bridging group' where both the past and future tendencies co-exist, probably uncomfortably at times. They have grown up in a rapidly changing world, though childhood conditioning would still reflect pre-war attitudes; they are thus able to serve as mediators in society, knowing the older world and yet attuned enough to the dawning of the new world. There should be sufficient intellectual capacity for them to evaluate the implications of ideological belief structures for themselves, without the imposition of authority; this should result in the development of genuinely held personal views irrespective of their nature and content. If they don't feel convinced, after careful consideration of the validity of an idea or belief, they will usually be unable to give whole-hearted support for it - unless they compromise themselves for personal gain. They are aware of the dangers of gullibility and a lack of public discrimination regarding leaders - as the German people in World War II demonstrated - yet are not fully convinced by the intent of any leaders who use truth as an expedient to be employed only when it suits them. In many ways, this generation is faced with a need to resolve certain inner conflicts and opposite world views, almost as a 'trial run' for the way in which society can achieve this on a larger scale. There are paradoxes on both mental and emotional levels that should be resolved and integrated, because too often such people are caught in the cleft stick of their own indecision and confusion over which 'face' to present - the face of the older ways, or the face reflecting the emerging changes in the world.

Jupiter Trine Neptune
The trine aspect between these two planets offers the most fluent and the easiest ways of expressing that inner potential, and has several similarities with the characteristics of the sextile. There is likely to be a natural religious and spiritual affinity, whether orthodox or unorthodox, and possibly pursued through a more mystical orientation, an interest in occultism, or by your own heightened psychic sensitivity. You tend to recognize that spiritual insight and attitudes can help you to infuse supportive foundations in the lives of those who are responsive, and can enhance meaning, purpose and life direction. These need not be traditional religious philosophies or theology, but are a personal path which unfolds from your own insights and values, emerging from that ability to understand life and people that seems to be a part of you. This approach is less intellectually biased than with the sextile aspect, focusing more on feeling, emotion and intuition, and so the path of the mystic and of contemplative meditation may feel more natural to you. Exalted emotional experiences are of an intensity that you welcome; and it is the evocation of such sensations that can draw you towards communal and religious activities that enhance ceremony, atmosphere, communion and a touch of dramatic mystery. It could be the appeal of the High Church that you find attractive. It is the love and relationship aspect of the spiritual life that motivates you, rather than the knowledge or wisdom dimension, and indeed you may lack discrimination to some degree. Even so, you do succeed in successfully integrating your inspired knowledge so that it is absorbed within your optimistic outlook on life and serves to add richness and variety. There is likely to be a deep sensitivity to your local and world environment, and a strong sense of community spirit. Your basic attitudes are positive and progressive, in that you see the light imprisoned even within the deepest darkness, and have faith that it can be released into constructive activity. It is this essential trust in life and people that can give you strength, both in your own path through life and in supporting others when times are hard and challenging. Your generosity of spirit is one which can be relied upon when friends and family are in need. In several ways, you will both grow and feel fulfilled if you are engaged in service to others, when something real, constructive and positive can emerge from your efforts; and this can lead you into the medical and nursing professions, community welfare and forms of teaching, or into developing beneficial social programs which increase the opportunities for others to release their potential or enjoy life more. Attempts to refine and improve society are likely to be your most effective channels to work through, although you may also do this through creative means, such as art, music and literature, where your expansive imagination can find ways to be anchored in objective forms. You recognize that there are always causes which can benefit from your support and energy, such as international aid organizations. In intimate relationships, ideally you require someone who is essentially compatible with your outlook and attitudes; someone who can understand and respect your sensitivity and refinement, and who acknowledges, values and supports these qualities. Because you have so much to offer, there may be occasional inner clashes between a few self-centered demands and needs and your higher ideals; following the path indicated by your ideals will prove the most apt way, and ensure that the positive tendencies of these planets shine through. In a few, the spiritual and mystical worlds may be extremely attractive, so much so that the ties of mainstream society fail to bind them into a traditional lifestyle. In such cases, a withdrawal into the world of contemplation may occur; a monastic life or one of non-materialism may greatly appeal. Some prefer to remain free and wander without too many ties or possessions, and adopt a traveling Bohemian lifestyle like the 'New Age travellers' scattered across the world, free to listen to their own inner inclinations and to experience the boundless nature of Planet Earth by exploring alternative cultures.

Sun Trine Neptune
There is an unmistakably dreamy, inspired, and sensitive side to those born with easy aspects between the Sun and Neptune. A marked appreciation for music and the arts is present. The connection of Neptune with the Sun, which represents the ego and the will, certainly softens some of the hard edges that might be found elsewhere in the chart, adding a sensitive and spiritual dimension to the personality. These people are naturally compassionate, especially those born under the trine. It is so completely natural for them to accept that there is more to the world than what is before their eyes, that they tend to presume everyone must be spiritually-inclined. Of course, they come to realize that this is not the case at some early point in their lives. Their attraction to spirituality and metaphysical subjects is usually marked. These aspects favor writers, artists, and musicians. These people are sensitive to those who are suffering, although they are not as easily taken advantage of as those with Sun-Moon challenging aspects. They are humanitarian and often have a special connection with animals. If other aspects and positions in the chart support it, these people are not ones to dominate others or assert themselves to the point of brashness.

Saturn Trine Neptune
The high idealism of Neptune and the awareness of social responsibility of Saturn will be prominent, and will stimulate an inner motivation intent on sharing in the ongoing work of social improvement. You should have a natural insight into social issues, and this coupled with a keen perception can help you to indicate those core problems that require resolution; in addition, you are able to offer constructive solutions to such problem areas, and are able to work with or within existing social organizations or governmental bodies to influence suitable changes to be made. In particular, you enjoy restoring 'order from chaos' and making use of forgotten and ignored resources. There can be a tendency to sit back and observe social decline and contentious issues without choosing to become more actively involved, but this would be a waste of your own talents and a denial of that sense of social obligation. Your idealism has strong moral and ethical roots, and you could feel uncomfortable if you ignored those inner promptings. Direct activism may not be your preferred mode of involvement, but you may find your role perhaps through communicating to others the facts about certain problematic social issues, especially through the medium of writing and analysis. You tend to have an absorbent intelligence, which accumulates considerable information and knowledge easily, and which is a resource that you should be able to utilize. The level of imagination is high and active, and this too can be personally used in a variety of ways, giving a spark of life to the ideas that you have for personal and social development. You may have difficulty in deciding exactly how to use your own resources, and the ideal may be to become involved in work which has a definite social dimension. Such work can include community welfare, law, social services, environmental concerns, finance, management, media, film, photography. Friends find that you are a reliable support in times of crisis, and you are equally willing to lend a helping hand when necessary. Neptune inspires you towards compassionate feelings, both for people you know and for strangers. If the spiritual quality of Neptune is active (and not so overshadowed by a dominating Saturn), then you are likely to be attracted towards spiritual or occult groups, where your talents can find ways of expression. Meditation and visualization work should be enhanced by Neptune, and anchoring the energies in suitable forms should be enhanced by Saturn. Learning to trust your intuition will lead you to rely on it even more over time, and this could be a vital step forward in your own development.

Sextile
Jupiter Sextile Pluto
The sextile aspect gives a 'higher turn of the spiral' to the energy which is released; and this will enhance your mental and intuitional faculties. You will have an optimistic and positive outlook on life; and the way in which you and others will benefit is through the exploration of higher ideals, elevated ideas and philosophies or religions. This is the direction to travel towards, both as a form of self-discovery and unfoldment, and as a medium through which you can eventually express your insights and understanding back into the world for the use of others. The potential is there for you to serve as a spiritual channel and transmitter, provided you ensure that you truly work for the good of humanity. Pluto will support any efforts you make to communicate a unified vision to the world, greatly enhancing the effectiveness of your influence. You have a penetrative mind and intuition, enabling you to discern the reality behind social, cultural and personal appearances; and there is a motivating curiosity that seems to require satisfying in whatever direction it turns.

Inconjunction
Mars Inconjunction Neptune

Your idealism and inflated expectations of others and life can lead you into very frustrating circumstances where you feel emotionally and physically drained. Your energy and emotions strengthen as you learn how and where to be involved in other people's projects. You have difficulty learning realistic boundaries with others and realistic limits as to what you can expect from yourself. Artistic expression can help give form to your humanitarian temperament.

SesquiQuadrate
Neptune SesquiQuadrate Ascendent
There will be an increased need to keep honesty in all situations to prevent misunderstandings in this location. Scandals will be easy to find that undermine your reputation, and you will find people that don't take a liking to your motives, no matter how sincere they are. Here you will tend to exaggerate everything, and facts will become clouded in illusion and confusion. There will be an increase in distrust for others and your suspicious and paranoid tendencies will begin to emerge. There is a possibility of imprisonment or run ins with the law in this area, so honesty must be adhered to.
Your perceptions of your environment will be very fuzzy and clouded while you are here and it would be best to refrain from the use of any drugs or alcohol that will only confuse an already obscure situation. Friends and associates can be deceptive, and at some point you will feel betrayed in some way by them or involving yourself in dishonest or fraudulent dealings. Your need for escapism will be heightened in this area and there will be a noticeable moodiness and temperamental behaviour. You may wind up on the roles of welfare or public assistance of some kind in this area, while you spend most of your time watching television, watching movies or remaining in your own fantasy world, never being quite able to find reality. You can be very vulnerable, gullible and unrealistic in your hopes and dreams, and daily affairs will be very clouded as well.
In case you haven't guessed it by now, this isn't the area for any form of business or contract negotiations, as the tendency for deceptions is very high, and you will choose to withdraw from people rather than be involved with them. Psychic experiences at this location are sure to be disturbing or at least disruptive, and unexplainable and mysterious circumstances will enter your life. On the positive side, you will see an increased ability to create artistic designs because of your fertile imagination.

Quintile
Sin Quintile Pluto
Quintiles and bi-quintiles point to talent, the desire to create order and to categorize, a fascination with patterns and structures, perfectionist tendencies, and the desire to build or make things. These aspects in the fifth harmonic have the characteristics of both the trine and opposition. They point to awareness of conflicts or problems and finding solutions for them.

The following are descriptions of these Quintile or Bi-Quintile aspects between the planets Sun through Pluto. These aspects can also apply for the semi-quintile, or decile, of 36 degrees, or the vigintile of 18 degrees, and will only apply for Sun-Mercury and Sun-Venus aspects because of the proximity of the Sun to Mercury and Venus.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Pluto

You have a creative drive that gives you the ability to express yourself with a little extra zip and impact than most people. You are good at finding creative solutions and you enjoy a contest or competition that requires ingenuity as well as strength or will power. You react effectively when there are surprises and you meet challenges well. You enjoy competitions, either against yourself or against others.

Venus in the Elements
It is helpful to consider the element of the sign that Venus occupies in a person's chart in order to gain more understanding of the love and relationship nature of the individual.

The twelve signs of the zodiac are grouped into four elements—fire, earth, air, and water—which represent four different approaches to life. There are three signs per element.

Venus represents, amongst other things, how people both give and receive love. Perhaps more importantly, the position of Venus shows a person's perception of relationship and affection. What qualities and expressions of affection are people most receptive to? What is most important and comfortable in a relationship to a Venus in Leo person may not be the case for a Venus in Gemini individual. For example, while dramatic expressions of affection may woo a native with Venus in Fire, they may be a turn-off for a Venus in Air individual. Similarly, a Venus in Air native may find it easier to maintain a long-distance relationship than a Venus in Earth person, who needs physical presence more than most.

Venus in Earth people (that is, those with Venus in Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn) tend to most appreciate solid, long-standing, and reliable relationships. Although somewhat cautious about entering new relationships, once they do decide, they are admirable for their ability to commit themselves. Venus in Earth natives feel most loved with physical proof of commitment. They work hard at making their relationships work on a physical and practical level. Unless the element of Water is prominent in the chart, however, their approach to relationships may seem rather impersonal and overly practical—perhaps even conservative—to some. Venus in Earth natives are most receptive to solid expressions of love that are tangible and easily measured. Similarly, they express their love and affection in ways that are rarely flowery or grand. They require, more than most, physical presence, steadiness, reliability, and comfort in their relationships. Once committed, they quickly become annoyed if their partners demand proof of their love. They might say, "I'm here, aren't I?" Perhaps it has a little to do with all of the energy they put into entering the relationship in the first place! (Venus in Earth people are generally quite cautious and often need a lot of time to get comfortable). Again, physical expressions of affection and commitment are most appreciated. Flowery romance and excitement are seen as superfluous or even superficial.

Mars in the Elements
What motivates people? What gets them out of bed in the morning? How do they go about getting what they want? Look to the position of Mars in the natal chart for answers.

Mars in Air people (that is, those with Mars in Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius) generally have many interests and drives. These natives are especially clever about getting what they want. Unlike Mars in Fire, Mars in Air natives are quite capable of adopting airs and tactics to get and do the things they want. These natives are quite polished in manner. They'll rarely offend you in an overt way, preferring to settle things on an intellectual level.

The Qualities in Astrology
After the elements, Astrology uses another classification to define the different temperaments of the Signs. The Qualities, also called the Quadruplicities, because they are divided into groups of four, describe a person’s attitude in life. Your Quality is a good indicator of how you deal with your environment.

Fixed
If you are a Leo, Taurus, Aquarius or Scorpio, you are a fixed sign. The fixed signs are not as interested in manipulating their environment as their Cardinal brothers and sisters- they are happy to concentrate on personal matters and will resist outside attempts at trying to change their lives. They tend to hang on to the past, which is their biggest weakness, but they are strong in their stability.

Taurus is the more mainstream of the bunch; Leo has a hard time adapting behavior to different circumstances; Aquarius can become stuck in a negative self-image; Scorpio has a tendency to get mired in emotional mud.

Lunar Phases
The two most fundamental energies in our birth chart are the Sun and the Moon. While the Sun is the most yang, projective, giving us our sense of individual self and purpose, the Moon is the most yin, receptive, providing us with the application of our purpose. The Sun is the light and life of our system. The Moon being the closest heavenly body to us controls the rhythm of the sea and all its creatures as well as the flow of blood in the human body. As the Moon distributes the light of the Sun each night, we experience this partnership and are able to understand their relationship in forming the personality of the human being.

Each night a different amount of light is given off by the Moon according to its changing relationship with the Sun. Within an approximate twenty-eight day cycle the Moon will have passed through eight phases, each phase lasting about forty-five degrees or three and a half days. These phases each have their own unique characteristics which influence all life on the planet. The first phase is the New Moon at which time no light is emanating from its surface. Beginning at zero degrees it will have completed its cycle at three hundred and sixty degrees.

One way to describe these phases is to use the analogy of the plant.

At the New Moon the seed is in the ground preparing for germination. It is implanted in a new beginning.

In the early degrees of the Crescent Phase, the sprout is drawn up from the earth by the initial impulses of light. During the remaining stages of the Crescent Phase the plant goes through a strengthening process, mobilizing its energies against the elements of nature.

When the First Quarter comes about, the plant has passed the initial stages of survival and is now sending down roots. By firmly anchoring its life force, the plant is able to concentrate its energies in the growth of stems and leaves with the tiny buds appearing by the beginning of the Gibbous Phase.

During the Gibbous Phase the plant is focusing on the reason for its existence. By ridding itself of everything superfluous, the culmination of its entire past from its beginning is brought to the moment of its achievement by coming into bloom.

The phase of the Full Moon is the completion. The work has been done and the gardener can stand back and assess his efforts. As the Full Moon progresses through its forty-five degrees the flower becomes the fruit.

The Disseminating phase is the harvest. The purpose of the plant is to now give back to the earth, to those who brought it into being and to nurture others.

By the time the Third Quarter comes around, the harvest is over, the abundance has been shared and what is left in the fields begins to decompose. The cycle is beginning to end.

During the Balsamic Phase the seed capsule is buried underground. It is clear that what was, no longer exists in its original form. This is the time of transition. The light of the Moon has grown very dim and by the end of this phase will have disappeared into darkness.

FULL MOON

The Full Moon brings about the completion of all the hard work that came before it. It is the time in which the structure having attained perfection experiences the urge to become infused with meaning and purpose, the breath of life. It is time when all that was instinctual becomes deliberate action, all that was felt before will now be made visible. The ideals are to be realized, brought forth into the world for all to have. It is the debut. People born under the Full Moon are idealists. They may spend a lot of time searching for belief systems that they can relate to. Relationships are important to them and they need to be fully conscious of the effects their words and actions have on others. It is hard for them to find the ideal relationship in this material world and they will often turn to religion or an ideal cause. In looking for the right relationship, one needs to proceed through the clarity of the light of consciousness and not get caught up in the emotional bog of sheer desire.

Lunar Phase at Birth
FULL MOON NATAL PHASE 180 deg - 225 deg

If you were born during the Full Moon Phase of the Lunar Cycle...

It is possible that in the development of your personality there may have been a pull between the mother and father functions in your life and that until you came to a "conscious realization" of what you were projecting as an individual, your identity could have been somewhat unstable. It is apparent in your direct and concise manner of speech that you communicate clearly and openly with others. Your interest in astrology goes deeper than most people and this shows your need for meaning in your life.

"Anything in the Full Moon phase implies an inherent instability in that function UNTIL the person integrates the opposing pulls of the "parts" of his personality that make up that total function. He may be torn between two ways of handling things in that part of himself. This happens so that he can come to SOME NEW AWARENESS. The phase also implies that the function is, of itself, perfected as a function. It merely needs a purpose, a meaning, a CONTENT, outside of itself, that the ILLUMINATION the opposing pulls can bring could provide. Instability is the result of NOT integrating two polar forces. When one DOES integrate opposites he has reached a culmination of perfecting complimentary forces, ability to operate for a common goal".

Mental Chemistry:
Marc Edmund Jones put forth a theory about "mental chemistry" that divides people into one of four groups. This is a highly useful tool for understanding how people process information, and is explained here.

You will need to know 2 things: the speed of the Moon on the day of birth (whether it is fast or slow), and the position of Mercury relative to the Sun.
The Moon's Speed

The average daily motion of the Moon is 13 degrees and 10 minutes. If the Moon was traveling 13 degrees and 10 minutes or more on the day of birth, the Moon is considered to be a Fast Moon. If it is less than 13 degrees and 10 minutes, it is considered a Slow Moon.

It's relatively easy to find the motion of the Moon on a birth date if you have an ephemeris. Simply take the difference between the longitude of the Moon from midnight to midnight on the day of birth and compare it to the average. A computer printout of a wheel generally shows the Moon's speed (and the speed of other planets) on the day of birth.
Mercury's Position Relative to the Sun

Mercury is considered behind the Sun if it is positioned after the Sun in longitude. In other words, if the Sun is at 20 degrees Gemini and Mercury is at 8 degrees Cancer, then Mercury is behind the Sun.

Mercury is ahead of the Sun if it is positioned at a lesser longitude than the Sun. So, for example, if the Sun is at 23 degrees of Taurus, and Mercury is at 20 degrees Taurus, then Mercury is ahead of the Sun.

Anxious: Mercury ahead of the Sun and Fast Moon The native jumps to conclusions too readily. Very reactive.

Nodes of the Moon
The North Node and South Node points are directly opposite each other. They are not planetary bodies; rather, they are points that take into account the relationship between the Sun, Moon, and Earth at the time of our birth.

The Nodes of the Moon suggest personal karmic imbalance. Thus, consciously working on these "life lessons" can bring us to increased happiness and fulfillment. If we over-emphasize and fall back on the qualities of our South Node, at the expense of developing our North Node, we may have a difficult time feeling personally successful.

Fear is associated with South Node issues. The South Node position is very often a point of great insecurity. We very much want what is represented by the South Node position, whether that is order in our lives (South Node in Virgo/6th house) or satisfaction in partnerships (South Node in Libra/7th house). However, the only way we can feel successful in these areas is through working on the qualities of the opposite sign (North Node position). We may resist doing this quite fervently, especially in the first 30 years of our lives, partly because we cannot see that letting go of some of our obsessions, and working on the polarity, will bring satisfaction to the South Node areas. Thus, the North Node represents a point of challenge and growth. One feels somewhat awkward and uncertain in the areas represented by the North Node (its sign and house). The North Node can also be considered a point of inflow. We need help with our North Node issues, and we often meet people who will help us confront these issues.

North Node in Aries; South Node in Libra
Look to the North Node by sign and house as an area of our lives and personalities that we may neglect or avoid, possibly due to fear and resistance. The North Node can feel like the unknown to us. The house position of the North Node shows the context for these challenges, and the sign position reveals the qualities we need to develop.

North Node in Aries and/or in the First House

With North Node in Aries, our South Node is in Libra. With North Node in the first house, our South Node is in the seventh house.

Co-dependency, indecisiveness, and a tendency for problems in one-to-one relationships are some of the issues this position suggests. With this position, we need to learn to love ourselves, to trust our instincts, to lead without fear. We tend to fall back on co-dependent relationships due to a fear of independence and of standing alone. We are indecisive and don't trust our instincts. We fear expressing our independent wishes and asserting ourselves because we prefer the comfort of being considered "good" people. Learning to act on our impulses, which implies a certain amount of self-confidence, is one of the lessons of this position. Learning that we can in fact live alone, which is a big fear of this position, will bring us to a point where we can offer ourselves to others in one-to-one partnership in a more balanced, healthy manner. Striving for internal peace, rather than focusing on achieving peace and balance in relationships, will improve our relationships and bring us happiness and satisfaction.

The Four Pillars
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

There's also the Four Pillars of Destiny -- which does use the Zodiac, but goes much, much further. It uses the year you were born and the month, day, and time of your birth, as well. It's similar to the birth chart used in Western astrology. It is believed to be a lot more accurate, telling more about your personal life instead of your sign as a whole.

* The four pillars are those four factors, in that order. They are also combined with yin and yang and the 5 elements (metal, wood, water, fire, earth). It is all believed to determine your luck, affluence, longevity, happiness, and wealth year by year.
* Chinese astrology works in 60 year cycles. If you're a math fiend with nothing better to do, you could break down the patterns of all these ideas into a sexagesimal cycle.

Hour Pillar (1st Pillar)
Know your secret animal. In the Four Pillars of Destiny, the hour you were born represents the final and most personal pillar -- it also determines your "secret animal". This is thought to be the truest representation of yourself, the self that has been covered by layers and layers of nurture and environment. It is also used to represent information about your kids or your senior years. Here's how it lines up:

3:00 - 5:00 AM: Tiger

Day Pillar (2nd Pillar)
Goat/Sheep

Month Pillar (3rd Pillar)
. Let's go further than the animal of your birth year. Your "inner" animal is determined by the month you were born in. It is believed to determine your later years in life or information about your parents. Here's how it correlates to the Western calendar:

May 5th - June 5th: Snake

Year Pillar (4th Pillar)

Yin or Yang
Yin:

* Every year is either yin or yang. Odd years are yin and even years are yang. Whatever the current year is, it's that side of the spectrum that tends to get emphasized.
* Every sign is yin or yang as well. This is the side of your personality that naturally has more power -- though anything can change in alignment with the stars.
* Yin is associate with passivity, cold, femininity, submissive, dark energy. Yang represents activity, heat, masculinity, aggressiveness, and light energy. Before you go assuming the worst, know that everyone has both -- it's just a cycle. You start with yin, say, until it blooms and turns into yang. And take into account the year's yin or yang, too!

The Four Major Groups of Amiability

The Chinese Zodiac wheel has 12 animals in their order of appearance in the Chinese calendar, starting with the rat and followed by the ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and boar.

These animal signs are further divided into four major groups (of three animals each) of amiability. People born under these signs are believed to have similar personalities and outlooks in life. Therefore, they are assumed to be able to get along well with each other. Below are examples of how the relationship works:

The challengers
The rat, the monkey, the dragon
If you are born in the year of the rat, you will need a dragon’s confidence. However, those who are dragons need the rat’s opportunistic character and cunningness of the monkey because dragons tend to be stubborn. On the other hand, people born in the year of the monkey needs the rat’s cleverness or a dragon’s zeal. Anyone born in these years are spirited, optimistic and strong-minded individuals.
The individualists

The horse, the dog, the tiger
If you are born in the year of the horse, you are a planner who needs a dog’s willpower to plod on or a tiger to spur you on. On the other hand, the horse is also impatient and needs the serenity a dog can offer or the adventures that the tiger entices. A tiger’s fierceness needs a dog’s amicability. Anyone born in these years are likely to be mavericks, emotional, ethical, and impulsive in their actions.

The thinkers
The snake, the rooster, the ox
If you are born in the year of the ox, you are firm and might need the rooster’s showiness or the snake’s attraction and tact. On the other hand, the rooster’s frankness needs a little of the snake’s slyness and the ox’s steadiness. Anyone born in these years are likely to be practical people, self-possessed and persistent.

The peacekeepers
The rabbit, the sheep, the boar
If you are born in the year of the rabbit, you are shrewd and would be able to curb the sheep’s charity-giving to any sob stories. The sheep also relies on the rabbit’s priorities in life. The rabbit is also the strategist and needs the boar’s force and the sheep’s mild approach. Anyone born in these years are supportive, inconspicuous people who are perceptive and compassionate.

Metal Snake
Metal Snake

Jan. 27, 1941-Feb. 14, 1942
Jan. 24, 2001-Feb. 11, 2002

The Metal snake is, literally, metal in both its liquid and solid forms. As liquid it can slither in and out of anywhere. As a solid it can be impenetrable.

Of the Chinese Snakes, this elemental type is the most secretive and prone to using underhanded methods to get what they want. When they choose to be so, they can be quite benevolent.

Birth Force Number (Date of Birth: 05/11/1941): 22/4
Life Path Number: 22/4

Numerology: Master Number 22/4 (The Master Teacher)
Twenty-Two/Four: The Master Teacher

by Felicia Bender, The Practical Numerologist

Your Life’s Purpose:

To become a master teacher and change people’s lives in a practical and tangible way.

(Please read the description of the 4 Life Path, because that is the foundational energy that defines your life’s purpose.)

The Master Number brings with it an intensity that is undeniable and “ups the ante” substantially. I’ll say that you’ve come with a higher spiritual purpose, no matter how you might define that. The Master Numbers bring with them a higher vibration.

So in everyday terms, this means that you’re going to feel high-strung when you’re working with a Master Number as your Life Path. You’re going to feel a constant push and pull to be more and do better, sometimes to the point of distraction. You might also notice that you have higher expectations for yourself, even when others can’t see that those feelings are going on inside of you.

So what does that mean for you on a practical level? It means that you’re here to “master” your life. It means that you have some significant strengths and more intense challenges. The bottom line for you: It’s not easy!

In Alignment:
Dependable, stable, productive, conservative, loyal, trustworthy, hardworking AND masterful purveyor of practical knowledge, building something of lasting value that helps people live better lives on a day-to-day basis.

Out Of Alignment:
Rigid, bulldozing, bossy, blunt, martyr about work, fear of taking risks OR unorganized, careless, distracted, lazy, irresponsible AND micromanaging, thinking small/safe, feeling overwhelmed and unable to focus on what you want to create in the world.
The Key:

How can you expand your ideas, “think big,” and get out of your own way as you build something of lasting value in the world?

With the 22/4, it’s all about breaking out of your safety and security zone and making more of an impact in the world around you. Know that this is rather scary and somewhat foreign for you because you gravitate toward the tried-and-true and erring on the safe side. Yet know that the Master Number 22/4 is the most powerful number in Numerology. (Did I just hear you “gulp?”) Yes. It’s a rather big deal. You’re meant to achieve and build something that makes a difference on a grander scale —and that won’t feel comfortable. You must blast past your childhood wounds, through and around your very real (and also your self-imposed) limitations, and work tenaciously to define and achieve your goals.
The Message:

You can be easily persuaded that you aren’t up to this task. Understand that you probably won’t come into your full power as a Master Number 22/4 Life Path until later in life—into your 50’s and beyond. It takes a while to get enough experience under your belt to find your passionate focus. Be patient and know that you’re here for higher-level service in the world, although it won’t be an easy ride—yet it’ll be amazingly gratifying. You can grapple with inflated ego and at the same time feel as though the world is conspiring against you. Grab onto your high-minded ideas and do the long-range planning that it takes to create your inspired vision.
Master Numbers: A paradox?

I like to point out that the Master Numbers actually conflict with themselves.

For instance, the 22 is a double 2—all about diplomacy, love, emotional sensitivity, intuition, service behind the scenes, and cooperation.

Yet the foundational energy for the 22 is the 4, which is all about security, stability, hard work, and systems building.

So can you see how—if you’re on a 22/4 Life Path—you might feel ever-so conflicted most of the time?

When you understand the demands the Master Numbers place on you, the you can begin to work with yourself in more effective ways that can potentially harness all that amazingness you have to offer without crashing and burning in the process.

The main advice I have for anyone experiencing Master Numbers is this: Working with Master Numbers is a marathon, not a sprint!

You must train, be flexible, pace yourself, and invest in the right equipment. Otherwise, you’ll either burn too bright too quickly, or you’ll deaden the flame and always feel as though you were meant for more yet will never find the courage or strength to take risks and move yourself and your enterprises to the next and higher level.

Another on 22/4 life path number

Life Path Master Number 22

22 is considered the most powerful of all the numbers. Those with a Life Path number 22 have great spiritual understanding, and ability to apply knowledge in a practical way and achieve enormous success.

This is the number of the Master Builder and those with a 22 in their chart are able to turn your dreams into a reality. You are a great visionary and have the intuitive insights of the 11, combined with the practical nature of the 4, . If not practical, someone with this number can waste their potential. This individuals' goals are outside of their personal self as this person strives to serve the greater good of humanity.

The downside of those with a Life Path number 22 would stem from the Challenges for someone with this number in being overwhelmed by their own potential, and fear of failure, and although they can be determined, they may at times seem dictatorial, insensitive, and overbearing.

It can take someone with this number well into their adulthood before they manifest their dreams because they have to go through trials, and learning experiences before they mature enough to incorporate their true calling in their life.

Those following Life Path of 22 are called master teachers, and as mentioned they are the most powerful of the life path numbers, endowed with many powers, and a unique talent for manifesting ideas into the realm of reality. Below are some key points you might want to take into consideration to help you on your path …

Your thoughts have incredible power, so be careful what you focus on, because it will more than likely appear in your life, whether you like it or not. You are a classic case of "be careful what you wish for."

Don't let yourself become obsessed with the ease of acquiring "stuff." Part of your lesson is to put your effort into the things that matter. You may also have to learn how to let go of the things that don't matter.

Keep yourself organized. You will make yourself crazy if you don't. Have a place for everything. That goes for your bookkeeping, as well.

It's not easy to go through life thinking of yourself as a teacher. You are one, whether you like it or not. You will influence people just by being around them. You are not teaching behavior or something concrete. Teach peace of mind and contentment in the present. Teach by example...

Number 4 (foundational energy that defines life's purpose)

4 Life Path: The Teacher
by Felicia Bender, The Practical Numerologist

Your Purpose:
Your purpose is to develop process, security, stability, and work hard to meet your goals.

Understand that these “themes” will be reoccurring issues throughout your life. Your Life Path number indicates what you’re evolving into, developing, aspiring toward, and learning about.

So while you’ll display innate gifts and talents in the areas of emphasis, you’ll also experience some consistent obstacles as you master your life’s purpose.

In Alignment:
Dependable, stable, productive, conservative, loyal, trustworthy, hardworking.

Out Of Alignment:
Rigid, bulldozing, bossy, blunt, martyr about work OR unorganized, careless, distracted, idle, irresponsible.

The Key:
Can you decide upon career that you’re passionate about, not just one that will “pay the bills?”

As a 4, you ultimately seek a sense of stability and security. Your work is extremely important to you and yet often you must go from job to job before you settle on something. You’re a “literal” thinker and thrive when you’re using your amazing process-oriented brain. You make a superlative teacher – whether you end up being a teacher or not. You’re apt to excel in management. You’re also the “master builder” and are an optimal systems person. Work at thinking outside of your own box. Also know that following your true passion is all-important for you because you struggle with defaulting to the more mundane or practical path rather than doing what you truly love. You’re the “slow and steady wins the race” person who thrives when you know the rules, use your systems-building skills, and have a sense of routine in your life. You’re all about hard work and meeting goals and get great satisfaction when you spread your vast knowledge to others.
The Message:

You’re a hard worker and the one who’ll always be counted on to get ‘er done. You’re also required to come to terms with some difficult family issues. Work on flexibility (both mentally and physically) and get outside of your own box. The Four is all about coming to terms with limitation – either real or perceived.

Eleven (11)

Your strengths
You are very idealistic and possess a great deal of intuition. Your intuition is so keen, in fact, that you would make a fine counselor and/or healer. You seem to understand people before they reveal their inner being themselves. And in general, you have an appreciation for what motivates people.

You are highly sensitive, emotional and reactive. You bruise easily from the criticism of others, and can take some time recovering from such slights. You can be very inspiring. You possess the qualities of a visionary and are often able to excite others with your ideas for a better world. Your intuition and sensitivity lead you inevitably toward philosophical and idealistic pursuits.

You tend to inspire people to move in a specific direction, or adopt new methods of living. Your presence is galvanizing. You have a good deal of leadership ability, as well. But your life stands more as an example for others, rather than for sustained or orderly leadership. You prefer to let people take up their own struggles once you have helped point the way, rather than be directly involved in the day-to-day activities of leadership. You have a great deal of determination. Once you set your mind on your goal, you will devote yourself entirely to it. Your sensitivity, however, makes your life a bit bumpy at times. You are highly aware of what others think, and, whether you care to admit it or not, the thoughts of others matter to you. You must work hard to maintain your own center in the emotional storms you encounter. You work well with others, often inspiring them by your example and your idealism.

Your challenges
You do not do well in the business world, except perhaps in the role of advisor. Your mind works intuitively, rather than rationally. Your thoughts and actions tend to be dramatic. You explore and solve problems mainly through intuition. You are more a dreamer than a doer. You experience quite a bit of nervous tension and must use proper dietary practices -- especially the avoidance of too much fat and sugar and the inclusion of minerals in the diet -- in order to maintain the health of your nervous system.

You are extremely loyal to those that you care about and you are admired for sticking to your principles. Number six is related to the sun which could account for your unusually sunny nature. You are always fun to be with and manage to see the positive side of even the most harrowing situations.

Your competence and enthusiasm attract people with resources. You radiate confidence. People defer to you because they sense your sureness and effectiveness. You also exude a kind of controlled benevolence. People sense that you are generous, once you are convinced of the worthiness of the cause.

It is important for you to dress well. You radiate a kind of raw power and ableness, which needs to be refined and enhanced by your clothing. You may even dress a bit flashy, but that will not harm you. Quality is among your highest priorities, and should reflect in your clothing. Although most eights have a strong constitution, they can be prone to indigestion, ulcers, and heart disease due to their reckless eating and drinking habits and their propensity to be workaholics. Your Achilles heel is your capacity for an egocentric attitude. The negative side of your personality can cause you to be ruthless, greedy, and intensely lonely.

Conversely, you can be spontaneous and excited. You are essentially warm and jovial. In your heart of hearts, you want everyone to be as excited and as happy as you. Those who are around you often sense this. Your coworkers and employees usually like you.

With a number 7 Soul Urge you are very fond of reading, and retreating to periods of being alone and away from the disruptions of the outer world. You like to dream and develop you idealistic understandings, to study and analyze, to gain knowledge and wisdom. You may be too laid back and withdrawn to really succeed in the business world, and you will be much more comfortable in circumstances that are tolerant of your reserve, your analytical approach, and your desire to use your mind rather than your physical being.

You are very timid around people that you don't know very well, so much so at times that casual conversation and social situations can be strained. You tend to repress your emotions to the extend that some people have a good bit of difficult understanding you. The Four Pinnacles
The 4 Pinnacles
Pinnacles represent moments in your life in which you realize current goals and learn some of life's lessons. If you are at the beginning of a Pinnacle, then they can be used as a predictive tool to assist in managing your future. Your first Pinnacle begins at birth and lasts until around the age of 27. Your Second Pinnacle lasts through the next 9 years, and the Third Pinnacle lasts for 9 years after the Second Pinnacle has passed. Your Fourth Pinnacle picks up where the Third Pinnacle ends and lasts throughout the rest of your life.

Your First Pinnacle Number is 7
A 7 Pinnacle marks a time for study, self-discovery and spiritual development. Your focus on the inner-self will bring out the loner in you. If your 7 is a First Pinnacle you will probably have to deal with a feeling of alienation. A 7 in the Second or Third Pinnacle demarks a time for further spiritual exploration and refinement of your understanding of yourself. As Fourth Pinnacle, the 7 denotes yet more time exploring your inner-self and the sharing of your wisdom with others.

Your Second Pinnacle Number is 8
An 8 Pinnacle is a time in which you will learn to apply power and authority in an effective way. In this period you should master the basic skills to become a good leader: organization, management and hopefully the application of justice for all.

Your Third Pinnacle Number is 6
A 6 Pinnacle notes a time of love and devotion to friends and family, or possibly the building of a new family after a divorce. During this Pinnacle your energies will be focused on your home-life. You will nurture your loved ones and beautify your surroundings as much as possible. During this Pinnacle that which is in your heart will come to the forefront.

Your Fourth Pinnacle Number is 2
You will learn how to have balanced relationships with others without sacrificing your inner self. Your talents for relating to others as well as helping others relate to each other will grow.

The 4 Challenges
Challenges denote personal weaknesses and temptations you will have to overcome and strengths you will have to develop to fully realize your goals. The 4 Challenges have the same time frame as the 4 Pinnacles.

Your First Challenge Number is 6
A 6 Challenge marks a period in which you will learn to balance the needs of your family with your own. You will learn that true nurturing can only come from your heart. Your idealistic views of marriage may be shaken some, but if you learn to temper them some you will be happier and more secure on the other side of this Challenge.

Your Second Challenge Number is 4
Your challenge is to learn the value of practicality, discipline and organization. A 4 challenge is rarely easy. You may find yourself boxed in by boundaries. In this period you will have to learn to be patient, open-minded and flexible.

Your Third Challenge Number is 2
Your Challenge is to learn how to manage your natural sensitivity to others, aversion to conflict and need for harmony in a way that will not repress your own needs. In time you will learn to balance your needs with those of others.

Your Fourth Challenge Number is 1
A 1 Challenge signifies the struggle to become independent, courageous and have faith in your convictions. If the number 1 appears as your first Challenge you are learning to define your self. Should a 1 appear in your other Challenges you are learning to remain true to your self and become more confident.

The 3 Cycles
Cycles occur in 28 year periods. The First Cycle last from birth through your 28th year and is called your Formative or Seed Cycle. The Second Cycle--your Productive or Fruit Cycle--begins at age 29 and last through your 56th year. The Third Cycle, your Harvest Cycle, begins with the coming of your 57th year and last throughout the rest of your life. Your Cycle Numbers tell you the lessons you must learn and goals you must meet to stay on your Life's Path and achieve your true destiny.

Your First Cycle Number is 5
Change and the development of personal freedom are the earmarks of a 5 Cycle. You will find fulfillment and joy in the adventures this Cycle holds for you. This Cycle will show you life at its most exciting.

Your Second Cycle Number is 11
An 11 cycle is a period of great personal growth and attainment of spiritual knowledge. As they develop, carriers of an 11 cycle will be expected to lead, educate and inspire humankind.

Your Third Cycle Number is 6
A 6 Cycle denotes a period favorable for love and marriage. You will learn about commitment and responsibility to your loved ones. If you have had a failed marriage, this is a period to start anew. Regardless of the conditions you bring into this Cycle, this remains a period for the homebody to come out in you.

Karmic Lessons
Your Karmic Lesson Number(s) are/is 6
Karmic Lesson numbers reveal areas in which we need to grow. To become more complete, we need to give extra attention to these areas in this lifetime. If one of your 5 core numbers is the same as a Karmic Lesson Number the significance of the Karmic Lesson Number is reduced.

A 6 Karmic Lesson Number denotes an inability or reluctance to make commitments. Even when you do commit yourself to something it may be your nature to hold back any true passion for the commitment or relationship. Over time you might do well to slowly allow your passions to express themselves and put your heart into your commitments and relationships.

The number 6 appears in your core numbers, so the importance of this number is lessened.

Karmic Debt
Your Karmic Debt Number(s) are/is 16
Karmic Debt Numbers signify past abuses of your talents that you must make amends for. Like all of us, you have made many choices and taken many actions in your lives. Some of those choices and actions have been mistakes. Your past errors must be addressed, so you can use your Karmic Debt Numbers to identify exactly what type of mistakes you have made in the past and how you can atone for them.

A 16 Karmic Debt Number points to an abuse of love in your past. You were not honest about your feelings and/or neglected to consider the feelings of others. The consequence of these actions is that you must now reconnect with that part of your spiritual self that will not allow you to misuse love and affection. Doing this is no easy task. To succeed, that which earned you the 16 must be destroyed, so a more spiritually ethical self can take its place.

Lucky Number
Your Lucky Number is 7
Your Personal Lucky Number does not change. This number will be lucky for your entire life. Your luck derived from this number will be strongest when you are addressing events and issues related to the general meaning of the number. Lucky Numbers should not be relied on to constantly produce positive results, or to make impulsive, high risk gambles. They simply mean that where they appear, you have an edge. How large an edge is impossible to determine, but seems to increase with the number of occurrences your Lucky Number is associated with for a given event or issue.

Those with a Personal Lucky Number 7 have a rather lofty number on their side. Your 7 may be very lucky in any situation. However, 7 is the number of those seeking spiritual growth, so often the luck of the 7 is not very easy to see. Its force comes into play on a true cosmic level and may be beyond yours or anyone's means to identify.

Signature Number
Your Signature Number is 9
Signature numbers are based on how you sign your name. Your signature carries the power and the faults of one of the base 9 numbers. You may actually want to sign different documents with different signatures to reap the benefit of a particular number. For instance, if you are signing an agreement of partnership you might want to alter your signature to reflect the powers of the number 2.

The signature you entered is a 9. The 9 signature is best suited to mark the completion of contracts or payment plans or the giving of donations.

Birthday Number
Your Birthday Number is 11
This number is most influential between your 28th and 56th year. While it is not the most important number in your profile, it does have an effect on your Life's Path and Destiny.

The Master Number 11 is your Birthday Number. With this number comes added freedom and responsibility. You need balance and harmony to succeed, and you have the gifts to create that balance and harmony for yourself and those around you. You are confident in your skills, but in no way a bragger or show-off. You look for a higher meaning in things. You are innovative and have the ability to inspire others.

Personal Year
Your Personal Year Number is 6
This number tells you what is happening in your life this year. This number should be used to help you avoid setbacks and focus your energies on those areas of your life where you are most likely to achieve your goals.

This is a year in which you should try to balance your home life with your work life. Indeed, your family should take precedence over all other concerns. Care for those in your family who need your help, nurture any young ones, and move closer to your significant other.

Eight of Diamonds
The Power with Money Card

Powerful people make you sit up and take notice and that is certainly the experience with the Eight of Diamonds, also known as the card of fame and fortune. They like to take charge, be out in front and be recognized for their achievements. Often power-earners, they enjoy the money they create and spend it with enthusiasm as well.

Their Jupiter position in the center of the Crown Line in the Master Life Script indicates recognition for their achievement and the capacity to achieve magnificently. Their driving need to succeed can lend people of this card to be a bit controlling, especially through their power and authority with money and finances, either their own or someone else’s. With a Queen of Clubs in Jupiter, they are clear in their concepts of how things work and can be a force to be reckoned with.

Indicated by the Three of Hearts card in Venus, Eight of Diamonds people may experience ambivalence in relationships and have difficulty deciding on a partner. Additionally, their Three of Diamonds in Neptune creates indecisiveness about the perfect opportunity. It seems they can be quite certain in their professional expression and relatively uncertain in their emotional lives. In their profession they have a certain level of control and emotionally they cannot control the other.

Having the Ten of Spades in Saturn suggests an ability to take on large projects, shouldering the responsibility and reward for the effort. The Eight of Diamonds can accomplish much in this lifetime and is usually well compensated for their efforts.

As an Eight, power is a key life lesson – using this power to contribute to, rather than control, others. Often good business people, they know what they are worth, what you are worth and what the task at hand is worth. Focused and driven, they will achieve that on which they set their sights, and often are well compensated for their efforts.

9 Star Ki Reading
The Number 5 Yellow Soil Person
A good manager and controller of ventures, projects and households. The 5 Soil can be found in all walks of life, from the very humble to the highest circles of wealth and power. Wherever they are, events and people tend to center around them. It is not as if they are in the limelight and they are not necessarily the center of attention. But they possess a power and control to such an extent that it would be difficult for the other 8 types to fathom. They are inscrutable.

If you are not a Five Soil person, the best time to get an idea of their characteristics is when you occupy the 5 Soil annual position. When you are in the position of another number, you take on some of the attributes that are associated with that personality. Since 5 Soils are in the "center", both positive and negative situations move towards them. It is their nature to make use of the good aspects and to turn the other energies away, or to manage them into a more beneficial state.

Five Soils collect things. Some collect people and build large organizations. Some collect stamps.

The evolved 5 Soil knows they are a 5 Soil. Not necessarily because they have studied Nine Star Ki. They come to know that their thoughts and actions can have a profound influence upon the well-being of others and they use their energy towards that end. Being the balancing influence, they don’t appreciate sudden change, so time is required for new ideas and directions to take root.

Primal Astrology
Taurus+Snake= Jackal

JACKAL

In the animal kingdom, jackals are often mistakenly thought of as lazy scavengers who don’t like to take risks or venture outside of their own territory. In the Primal Zodiac, those born under the sign of the Jackal are often misrepresented in the same way. To be fair, members of this sign don’t like to take risks, feel most comfortable on their own turf, and favor long-term survival over momentary satisfaction. But to consider these traits as negatives is to misunderstand the Jackal completely.

Jackals are notoriously hard to read. On the outside they often look bored, disinterested, and lazy. On the inside, however, they are constantly re-evaluating situations and making plans for the future. Jackals have a deep-seeded need for long-term security that heavily influences most of their behavior. To a member of this sign, being secure means being able to live day to day on autopilot - having a comfortable routine that they can change at their whim but will always be there for them to fall back on. They don’t mind living in squalor and eating scraps if it leads to an eventual reality of comfortable, if not extravagant living. In truth, Jackals desire the finest homes, possessions, food, and drink. Though they can be self-indulgent, they will never sacrifice their future security for momentary bliss. Everything Jackals do is in an attempt to realize the fantasy of being set comfortably for life.

Those born under this sign have a hard time living in the moment, and are prone to depression and sulking because their goal seems so far away. Jackals need to learn to take pleasure in each day and not just use it as a platform to get closer to their future. If they don’t, they risk missing out on their own lives as they are living them.
COMPATIBILITY (LOVE & FRIENDSHIP)

Though they have a reputation for being sullen, evasive, and even moody, Jackals are actually quite social by nature. They prefer a small, close, consistent group of friends to having a wide variety of acquaintances. With close friends they will let their guard down and will share their innermost feelings, which they typically bottle up, and on a good day can be as charming, funny, and giving as anyone. Their idea of giving is more likely to be in the form of introspective, emotional support rather than the giving of money or material possessions - for everything dollar they give away is seen by them as taking them one step further away from security.

When they do have to enter unfamiliar social situations, Jackals seem surprisingly at ease. In reality, they are observing, evaluating, and reacting to their new acquaintance, maintaining a neutral politeness and generally friendliness until they have decided whether or not to share elements of their true selves with this stranger. This goes for casual social situations as well as dating. Leaving themselves open for rejection is anathema for a Jackal, and violates their innermost need to feel comfortable and secure. This makes finding a partner a slow and challenging task for this reserved sign.

When they do fall in love, though, Jackals are true companions. Like their animal namesake, Jackals mate for life, and will defend their family and closest friends with surprising ferocity. A Jackal may let you look at their territory, but they will never let you take it without a fight. The true duality of this sign comes through in love. Few things can distract them from their keen focus on their future goals, but this is one of those few. Once you have partnered up with a Jackal, they consider you a part of their plans for the future, and can even be a bit possessive over this relationship.
CAREERS & GOALS

Careers are where the Jackals focus most of their attention - for this is the key to achieving the “permanent security” that they believe they need to be at peace. Jackals are skilled in analyzing situations, which makes for success in analytical careers. Analysts, evaluators, assessors, financial advisers, and subject matter experts are all well within the natural ability of this sign. The whether or not these careers will fulfill their innermost needs depends on how well they fit the Jackal’s own vision of his or her future.

Jackals prefer working alone or in familiar groups. They hate change and the unknown, which means careers in customer service, retail, or sales are all bad fits for this sign. What few would guess is that Jackals have a strong passion for art, music, and creativity in general. Jackals are big dreamers who often feel that they have to choose between their goal of financial security and their true passions, creating a lifelong conflict to find their true selves. The ultimate career for a Jackal is one where they can be creative, free-thinkers but also somehow ensure a secure livelihood. Obviously, this is extremely difficult to pull off, but if anyone can figure out a way to do it, the ever-persistent Jackal is the one who will.

*****Note: Yes most of this is information I've developed myself. When creating his profile I tried to choose a place that would best fit him and his being a wizard. So I found a place near Penrith that coincidentally had the village name of Barton and also in a place in England not heavily populated. It is my belief that a wizard would want to be from a less populous part of Gaia so think outskirts of Barton perhaps "Barton Valley" if you will.

Another was choosing May 11th instead of May 18th (his join date) as his birthday because 11 is considered a master number.

Interestingly enough there was also a full moon (very near its full peak) as well. Further still I choose him to be born precisely at 3:33 am again with the idea of master numbers but also because 3 am is considered the witching hour.

That is why I chose May 11th at 3:33 am Barton (Penrith). I chose the year 1941 because the Dean has said he was a dean for over 40 years. However in my headcanon I believe he is the type of man who would become Dean at a very early age--possibly the youngest to date. So I estimated that he has been a dean for 45 years, so he became a dean in 1970 at the impressive age of 29. (Funnily enough the age of 29 equals to 11 which is a master number, and yes 45 =9 and 1970=8, and 2015=8; 8 being a number that might represent life events).

One last thing, when I chose these dates I mostly wanted to emphasize the fantastical aspects of the Dean's birth, and some of the important events (this was coincidence actually) to have some strong elements of fantasy in terms of numerology and astrology. Mostly because I figure that a wizard would want these elements in their birth and life along with the "magic" that comes from a full moon and more.*****
