Character Name: La'gann (Lah-gahn)
Race: Dovaa
Gender: Male (they/them - it/itself)
Clan: Ayrala
Statistics: INT 5, ATK 3, DEF 2
Appearance: La'gann's fashion preferences are eccentric in nature, close to what is expected of the culture born and raised within the Celestial Plane. A fan of bright colors (pinks and purples most especially) as well as tasteful geometric design and hints of a more... exotic influence, La'gann very much looks the part of a Dovaa noble, though some say that the length of their bangs can cause some to be weary of where his alliances truly lie. And, though quite adept at conversation, La'gann often leaks the more notable characteristics of an introvert. Often smiling to themself, La'gann rarely seems at all... trustworthy. And the fact that this is told all in appearance alone, makes it even more alarming to those that might interact with the young deviant.
La'gann's hair is often magicked to match their clothes of choice, and thus is usually a bright shade of purple-pink. They keep it as neat as possible, constantly going to have it trimmed and meticulously combing it each evening in order to keep all the strands in just the right places. La'gann finds their outward appearance to be of utmost importance and takes great pride in carrying out their daily beauty regimen. Their body, after all, was a gift from the God of peace and harmony Himself. They seem to quite like adding in expensive accessories whenever possible, and are- indeed- quite a bit feminine in appearance (sometimes even being mistaken as a young Dovaa lady) though they will not go to lengths to correct you, only flourish in whatever compliments it is that they are being granted; for it's all the same to them. They are tall, with a petite structure, and believe themselves to be quite handsome. Their most distinguishing feature, however, are the two scars on their face; remainders of the gashes that were given to them by a young dragonling when La'gann had ventured to close to a nest.
Personality: La'gann is odd in nearly every situation. Often strolling about with a dreamy expression on the half of their face that one can actually see, most have a tendency to veer rather drastically around the young Dovaa, as his soft humming and somewhat mysterious nature can seem intimidating to the majority of the nobles residing within the Celestial Plane. If one were to muster up the willpower to speak to La'gann, one would find that they're quite a reliable source of knowledge and bubbly conversation. They are often smiling, completely friendly and relaxed in the conversation of others- with an open smile and, ahhem, unnervingly hooded eyes...
There's a seriousness within La'gann that keeps them isolated from others. They're a manipulator, at heart; using their wealth and charm to alleviate themself above the rest. Their most precious goal is to ascend and be granted their True Form. They seek to become one with the skies and will most likely convert their life completely over to dragon form once it's been earned. For this reason, they are on the path geared towards battle; for it is this path that will earn them quicker access to their beloved True Form. They are eager to gain power and status, as well as highly narcissistic. Despite this, they still somehow manage to portray a friendly demeanor, set in their own ways.
When they are speaking about themself, they use it or itself pronouns; as a sort of homage towards their true dragon nature.
Biography/Background: La'gann was sent away at a young age to an ancient sect of Dovaa residing within the Celestial Plane of whom had sacrificed their lives to the constant worship of the God, Abronaxus. La'gann's father, a Dovaa nobleman of high standings, of which La'gann has next to no further information about; sent them in the hopes that La'gann, too, would dedicate their life to Abronaxus. Also, as La'gann was born from a Dovaa woman that was not La'gann's father's wife; they were viewed as more of a blight on the nobleman's otherwise crisp record than an heir. La'gann would never be given a surname; though has never felt the need for one, either. The name La'gann was given to them by one of the elder Dovaa's belonging to the peace-loving sect, and it was a name in an ancient tongue that meant balance. Considering themself a true disciple of Abronaxus, La'gann thinks that this is more than enough for one name alone.
His time with the Sect was a time of happiness and knowledge, he was taught the majority of the world's history; including all of the different races' histories and what was known of the khehora and- most importantly- dragons. At a young age, it was clear that La'gann had developed an obsession with becoming a dragon and living their life for Abronaxus in their True Form. The Sect, happy for La'gann's obvious reverence, only urged them along this path; truly supportive of their young prodigy's lust for true balance and harmony within the world. However, La'gann will make the decision to become a battler instead of joining the Sect as a full-fledged monk. Using his knowledge of magic, given unto him by living close to so many Master Dovaas, he will instead become a mage; intent on learning his True Form as quickly as possible.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: "It thinks that this war breeds only hatred and cruel things. It wishes to leave all of this behind as quickly as it can, to become one with the skies and never again be required to touch its feet to the earth unless it itself desires. Should the war end, or should the war be kept alive is of no importance to La'gann. It wishes only for inner peace and it already harnesses within it a higher understanding, as gifted to itself by its beloved God."
Thoughts on the Magescian Races: "It feels that the hatred cultivated between the different races is quite atrocious and should be eliminated in order to bring peace and higher understanding to those of all origins. Like its most beloved God, it believes that harmony is the only true answer to the question that each of the races so violently shout out. It will treat all that deserve it with respect, and all that do not with a burning tongue- its opinions will not be swayed by race alone though it will always be wary towards where each individual's alliances lie. The other races are dangerous and unpredictable, their blood makes them volatile. It will only ever truly trust its more pleasant Dovaa brethren. It believes hybrids are both poor and misunderstood creatures, victims of a nature they cannot escape themselves and did not choose. It believes that a growing population of hybrids could, indeed, change the war; though, it acknowledges that most hybrids have received only rejection due to their imbalanced blood and are oftentimes against having anything to do with peace. As such, it can only view them as things to be pitied, perhaps it lacks the empathy required of it?"
Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora: "Khehora are magnificent beings filled with knowledge, rarely has it had a relationship with a khehora that has gone sour; as they are such interesting, wise beyond their age individuals. Though, admittedly, it has only made conversation with elder Khehora beings; as those were the ones granted access to the Sect within the Celestial Plane. Perhaps its view of them are skewed? Dragons are true beauties of nature and bringers of balance, had Abronaxus not been the one true God it might've been them that it would have come to revere. Never will it slay a dragon, even if their fire might burn its skin or their claws pierce its flesh. It will protect them at all costs. Dragons are sacred to the natural order, and thus they are sacred to itself."
Quote for cert: "True balance can be found by any of those that seek it within the skies."
