Bio :
Marabelle was born behind an old bar, her mother, the barmaid. From the start, there wasn't much hope for Marabelle's future, her father, Captain Hendrick 'Reaper' Clapham, was nowhere to be found. When Marabelle was three, Captain Reaper finally came back to harbor, he hadn't known about Marabelle or the situation she was living in until then. Her mother worked two shifts every day and still didn't make enough to keep both of them comfortable. When Captain Reaper finally found out about her, he decided to take Marabelle under his care and pay her mother all the work she'd done to keep his baby healthy. Indiana, Marabelle's mother, was heartbroken but knew that it was best to hand the child to Captain Reaper.
Captain Reaper raised Marabelle even stricter than he would've raise a son, in the pirate world, women were a bad sign, it was nearly impossible to become a female pirate. Throughout the years, Marabelle became more consious of how her being a female affected the crew, they still walked on eggshells around her, fearing her father's rage and so she decided to finally leave her father's boat and become a captain herself. At eighteen, Marabelle bought her own boat, which she used to steal The Golden Dragon off of an old enemy of her father's and she started her career as a pirate. Though she'd finally reached what she wanted to, a strong ship, a good crew (The Serpent Corsairs) and a good relationship with both parents, she didn't really get anywhere with her love life. She'd fallen in love a few times but her travelling complicated things and men didn't stay loyal for long and so Marabelle found out that the life of a pirate was quite solitary... she won't complain, as long as there's alcohol.
