It had seemed so long ago when the biggest worry the elder had was if a troll lived under this bridge, or that bridge. But that was a long time ago. The war had brought new fears to the elder: The fear of losing those most important to him. He had willingly flung himself into the war, hoping to spare his mate and child from fighting or hardship.

The war dragged on. Busno kept busy, running between factions of demons to relay messages. His skill on his feet had made him ideal for this job, as he was quick and nimble. He hadn't heard from Sorina. He hadn't heard from Mirela.

Eventually, when his duty brought him close to Sorina. He had needed rest. Behind the front lines, well into the 'safe' territories, he saw Sorina. She was singing like he remembered, and he fell in love all over again. He was overcome with joy and vowed to himself that when the war was over, he would find her, and never lose her again.

Busno kept that promise. The war calmed down, and the demons who had been summoned by humans were able to return to their bonds. In the human world, Busno sought out his lady love, Sorina, and their daughter Mirela. It was one New Years Eve when Busno caught word of Sorina's return to the human world, and shortly after, he was reunited with her.

However, even though they searched, they could find no whisper of their daughter. Mirela was lost. Busno refuses to believe she was killed in the war. He holds out hope that she will return one day, but until then, it feels his family is incomplete. He longs for the clippity -lop of little hooves once again, and thinks it is finally time for their family to grow.
