Biography:
A member of a clan of nomads, Craig and his family constantly wander about from one site to another, relying on the blessings of mother nature and the charity of others to survive. Due to this, Craig does not have a formal education, however, this does not mean he is illiterate or ignorant, as he travels with his family, Craig is mentored not only by his father, but the rest of the nomad clan and whomever they come across during their journeys. Craig's regular training consists of hunting, plant gathering, trap-making and utilizing, makeshift weapon crafting, as well as utilizing these weapons in battle, and a martial art unique to their nomadic clan. All of these skills and knowledge combined make Craig a competent individual as any brilliant scholar or skilled warrior out there.
Whenever Craig is free from his father's habitual survival training, he runs off in search for animals to play with or new people to meet. During one of Craig's furry escapades, he encounters a strange looking dog-like creature which he mistakenly assumes as friendly and naively brings to their encampment. Upon arrival, the dog-like creature escapes Craig's embrace and wanders the area, secretly marking an empty tent filled with the nomads's food supply. Craig shortly reunites with his furry friend, or so he thought, the creature turned out to be scout-class demon which opened a small doorway for its fellow demons. Craig quickly looks around for something to stall the demons, in his panic Craig throws a nearby container of liquor which the demons simply shrug off and sets fire to the tent. Craig frantically runs out and bumps into his parents armed and ready to take on the invading forces. The demons suddenly busted out from the tent and started assaulting the nomads. After the fierce battle, the nomads were able to push back what little demons that came through the doorway, although the victory came at a steep price, the lives of majority of their brethren. Craig's parents reassured him that it was not his fault, but the rest of the nomads did not share this sentiment.
Guilty and enraged, Craig arms himself and sneaks out of the encampment to find the demons' hideout and seek revenge. Several hours later, Craig stumbles upon a lone demon scout, the very same he brought to their encampment. Craig decides to follow the scout back to its base. Unbeknownst to Craig that the scout was in fact well aware of his presence and intends to lure him to an ambush. Luckily, Craig was being followed by his parents and fellow nomads who wanted to avenge the deaths of their loved ones. The demon scout suddenly turned and attacked Craig. Craig manages to avoid the scout's attack and stuns it by shooting arrows coated in the essence of a paralysis mushroom. As Craig charges to deliver the killing blow, the scout's allies arrive and unleashes a powerful incinerating spell straight at Craig. Craig's parents arrive but is welcomed by Craig's lifeless body. Enraged, they attacked the demons.
Several hours have passed but even the nomads' knowledge of hit-and-away tactics as well as of the terrain proved inadequate, and only a few of them remain, surrounded by a hoard of hungry demons. All of a sudden Craig's lifeless body stands up as his own shadow starts wrapping itself around his body. The demons and nomads are both astonished at this sight. Without warning, multiple black spears protrude from Craig's body and pierces several of the engaging parties. Those who were struck were slowly drained of their life until they crumbled into dust. This frightened some of the nomads and caused them to flee the scene, but Craig merely pursued them while chopping their limbs apart. This time the demons were overjoyed at the sight of carnage and prepared to join the ongoing massacre. Craig laughs maniacally before slaughtering majority of the demons as he warped to and fro, weaving in between attacks as well as devouring those that fled.
A groggy Craig awakens a week later surrounded by the stench of rotting bodies and cawing of vultures. As he looked around he knew, that he was the cause of it. He didn't know exactly how he did it but bloodied attire and wound-less body made certain of that. He remembers there was a war waged here due to the unique weapon fragments scattered throughout the battlefield, some of which resemble his clan's weaponry.
After hours of wandering Craig stumbles upon what seems to be his father's lance and is overcome with grief to see the severed hand holding it. As he was about to scream out, his shadow started laughing and formed a face. "Wow, you certainly are an entertaining host. It looks like you're not a fan of our work, huh?" It jested. Craig jumped back and grabbed the nearest broken sword and swiped at his shadow. "HaHaHa, it'll take a little more than that to kill me, Craig" said the shadow as the broken blade phased through it as if it were air. "W-what are you?!?!" Asked Craig. The shadow's smile turned into a scowl as he replies "it pains me so to hear that you don't know your own shadow". Craig body stiffens as he notices that the shadow is indeed connected to his feet. "Don't waste your energy. I wont kill you anyways, since if you die, i die. So let's try to get along~" Said the shadow playfully. Craig decided then and there to traverse the world in search for a way to eliminate his shadow.
Craig continued living the lonely life of a nomad, making dens here and there whenever he felt tired. As he spent more time with his shadow, he learned that whenever the shadow takes over, his personality would change without warning and he'd become more chaotic.Terrified, Craig decides to continue his training on his own and vows never to use the shadow's curse.

As a nomad, Craig is exposed to constantly changing environments and has since forced his body adapt and develop resistance to what otherwise ordinary folk would had succumbed; e.g. Extreme temperatures, fatigue, starvation, etc.
Shadow's Skill-set/Abilities:
Manipulation shadow's properties. (Usage ranges from transforming an intangible shadow into a multi-use physical too, to rendering most physical attacks useless)
Craig's shadow is sentient and as such occasionally acts contrary to Craig's will. E.G. Randomly devouring a cuddly deer which Craig is preoccupied with cuddling, or less harmful acts, yet mischievous, such as performing pranks on Craig. Despite the shadow's erratic behavior, it cannot survive independently from Craig, and as such protects Craig from external harm of it's own accord.
In life-or-death cases, the shadow overrides Craig's body and soul, allowing Craig access to previously impossible abilities such as warping to-and-fro short distances(distance increases if warping through shadows or in the dark), superhuman strength, consuming sentient beings for sustenance.
However, his process is not without severe penalties.
First, Craig's body slowly deteriorates during the duration of his shadow controlling him. In other words, prolonged usage will eventually kill Craig.
Second, Should Craig be fortunate enough to survive the process, Craig will be rendered incapable of performing basic functions that requires moving from his current place for a measure of time. This measure ranges from a few days to several weeks, depending on the duration of the override, leaving him completely defenseless and to his shadow's mercy.
Lastly, If Craig recovers from his vegetative state, his shadow undergoes a "cooldown" for several weeks, leaving Craig unable to conjure his shadow.
