Tuukka Mikael Rask. Born March tenth. Born and raised in Finland, but now residing in the North End part of Boston Massachusetts. Towering at six feet, two inches, and weighing in at roughly one-hundred and eighty five pounds. He won the Vezina trophy in the 2013-14 season, meaning he was all around best goaltender, beating out Ben Bishop and Semyon Varlamov. Lead the Boston Bruins to a Stanley Cup Championship in the 2011-12 season. He's been with the Bruins organization since 2009, and had a very promising career ahead of him. The young bachelor was popular with the ladies, but had bad luck with having them stay more than a night. It was tough on Mr. Rask to keep a girlfriend who'd stay loyal to him, and appreciate him for more than just fame and money that Tuukka had under his belt. To some people, he scared them off. Maybe people didn't like the Finnish metal that male liked, and lost his place as 'DJ' in the Bruins locker room. It didn't bother him at all, no, I mean, it got him pumped up for the game that laid in mere minutes on nights he was in net. Other nights, occasionally, it was Niklas Svedberg, number seventy-two, He was a alright goalie, but just like most NHL players, found himself to be the best at what he did.
The sense of anticipation filled the TD Garden at the early time of ten in the morning. Today's schedule included a morning skate, interview for New England Sports Network or NESN for short, then gear up for the Stanley cup game later at 7:30 against none other than the Vancouver Canucks. They already defeated Vancouver once, and man let me tell you. The outcome of the fans, unbelievable. They were destroying the city because Boston beat them in game seven that night. Bruins fans on the other, rejoiced and were overjoyed with emotions, after forty years of no Stanley cup in the Boston. They regained their rightful title as Title Town or City of Champions. It was true, check out the amount of Titles won combined Boston had. If you didn't they had thirty-five total. Tuukka finally walked in to the locker of the Garden before changing into about twenty extra pounds of padding, before lacing up and throwing a practice jersey, and grabbing his helmet. Walking down the hall was soon on the ice, and stretched, then headed to the net, and protected it, blocking shots from teammates like Patrice Beregron, Zdeno Chara, and Max Talbot. Soon he moved out of the way, seeing the teammates wind up and take shots. The practice finally came to an end around 12:30, and Tuukka was the last one off the ice, after speaking to his coach Claude Julien. Undressing of the pads and skates, find himself comfortable in a
suit and tie, and sprayed himself in some expensive cologne as he left the building.
Walking into the heat of June, and the sun high in the sky, Tuukka made his way to his
car, unlocking it before getting in, turning the key and pulled out of the parking lot. It was only about a fifteen ride to get from Boston to Watertown, where the NESN building was, and he was to questioned on. Questions varied time to time, and Tuukka always had a answer for them. The funniest one was about him being fired from the DJ-ing job in the locker room. Pulling into the parking lot, stopped the engine, stepped out, and locked his car. He walked into the building, and was greeted by Jack Edwards and Andrew Brickley. Sitting down for at least a hour, answered questions, gave insight and laughed alongside the former ice players themselves, both whom played for Boston years before.
After the hour was up, it was again, back to the TD Garden. to be in net for the B's as they took the Canucks on a title Boston deserved. He pulled into the lot again as fans watched him pull up in the car. It was around 4:30 in the afternoon, and show time, or puck drop was roughly 7:48. After the national anthem for both Canada and the United States. Walking into the building, decided to sit in the arena itself. Focus and zone out. Think by himself. It was thing he did when in deep stress, but it also got him time to check the opponent, and their ice girls. Soon a teammate came calling and Tuukka got up and went down the runway, and to the locker room to suit up for the game.
Soon it was showtime, the time when Tuukka was best to win. Skating out onto the ice, heard the crowd cheer and chant "tuuuuukkkk", almost sounding like boo with their Bostonian accents. After about ten to fifteen minutes of warm-up, the lights went off, and out came the singer to sing the anthems. Tuukka was in the goal net, ready to kick some Canucks away.
