Honeysuckle worried to herself as she flitted away from the pond of her birth. She vaguely understood that she and her 'siblings' couldn't stay at the pond, but how was she supposed to find her own parents? Her tiny dragonfly wings fluttered tirelessly as she zipped about, searching for a parent. She hesitated every time she saw a face, but each one was just....wrong to her. Surely there would be someone who was right... Right? She hoped so.

Finally, after what felt like hours, she found someone that felt right. She looked different from the goddess of the pond; this female had no wings, and a horn on her head. How was she supposed to get her attention? .....Oh.

She flew right into the fauny's face.

User ImageSweetie Belle stretched her arms as she walked. Wild Moon had offered to watch the kids while they slept and give Sweetie Belle a chance to stretch her legs. She'd do the same for him the next time they got a chance. She had only planned a short walk, not wanting to give the kids time enough to wake up and run their poor father ragged. She giggled lightly at the idea. As a filly, she had always imagined who she would fall in love with. Not once had she imagined that she would fall in love with the son of a princess. And yet, that's exactly what had happened. And now they had two adorable little ones. They made her exhausted some days, but she loved them so much she could hardly contain it. And Wild Moon... He was so amazing. She felt so lucky to have found him.

During her musings, she vaguely noticed a dragonfly buzzing around, but it wasn't until it smacked her right in the face that she took real notice. "Oh!" she cried and flailed a little, brushing at her face in surprise. Once she was sure it wasn't in her face anymore, she looked around with a frown. Where had it gone? A flash of yellow caught her eye and she moved closer, hoping she hadn't hurt the poor thing, but when she got closer she saw that the yellow wasn't the dragonfly. It was a child. "Oh no, you poor thing! You must be lost, where are your parents?" Another glance around her confirmed there were no other pae in sight.

Honeysuckle rubbed at her face as the white fauny knelt near her and asked about her parents. The little sprite shook her head. "Don't have any," she replied. She eyed the fauny as she she came closer. Yes...this was the one she wanted. Of course, if she wasn't wanted, then Honey would.... Well, she wouldn't understand, but she wouldn't force herself on the nice lady. "Will you be my mommy?" she squeaked, wringing her hands a little as she waited for an answer that could change her life.

Sweetie Belle frowned at the child's answer. She didn't have any parents? How did that make sense? The next question caught her off guard and her eyes widened. "Oh! I...well..." The more she hesitated, the more she saw what she thought to be resignation the child's eyes. She was so like Savi in that respect: so serious looking. It made her want to put a smile on her face. But she wouldn't make such a big decision without giving Wild Moon a chance to voice his opinion. "I want to, little one, but it's not a decision I can make by myself. Would you like to come home with me? I want you to meet my love, and we'll see what he says." She smiled and held her arms out to the child.

The yellow sprite seemed to think about the answer and offer she was given. If the nice lady had a special someone, then maybe she could have two parents instead of just one! That thought excited her, but at the same time what if this guy wasn't as nice as the lady? It was a chance she was willing to take. With a short nod, Honeysuckle moved closer and allowed the white fauny to pick her up.

Sweetie Belle smiled as the little girl came to her and she picked her up, cradling her as she did her own children. She hoped Wild Moon wouldn't be too upset with her... She also hoped Wild Moon didn't want to turn the child away. She seriously doubted that he would but she couldn't help but think it.

It didn't take her long to get back home, and she was just a little bit nervous as she opened the door. "Wild Moon?" she called quietly, in case their toddlers were still asleep.

It had been so crazy since life had blessed him with two little ones of his own. Well his and Sweetie Belles own. Lullaby was such a handful and precious little Savi just wanted to be right there with her even when he managed to wear out before her he kept trying. Bless his little heart. And Sweetie Belle.....Sweetie.... well she'd been a trooper through and through. Ever since he started his new path with her it had been like a dream. Well except some obvious nightmareish events....but none of them had been hurt thankfully.

So today he was here watching the kids alone while she went out to stretch her legs, catch some fresh air and have a well earned break. The little ones were still fast asleep for their afternoon nap. He smiled as he sat on the edge of their bed, watching them slumber away. Lullaby spread out taking up most of the room and Savi cuddled up next to her. It was so precious. He couldn't help but wonder if he and his sisters ever looked like this. Passed out, snuggled up bundle of little faun angels. Secretly though he was glad for only two. Lullaby had enough energy for the pair of them alone.

Chuckling softly he stood up and shut the door partly, going about to tidy up the main sitting area. Sweetie was due back any second and he didn't want her to have to worry about cleaning up after a well deserved break. He had been wrapped up in cleaning that he hadn't heard her soft hoofsteps until she called quietly to him. Turning around beaming, he smiled at her, not recognizing anything at first.

"Sweetie my love did you have a nice walk?" he smiled.....then paused...staring at the yellow thing in her arms quite confused. "I.....uh...."' he blinked, unable to find words. The first thought that sprung to his mind was..... it's s child but.... not a faun.

It's definitely not a faun.

Sweetie Belle's smile was a little nervous as Wild Moon turned to see her. She bit her lower lip as it took him a moment to notice the little golden yellow bundle in her arms. "I um...had a very nice walk," she answered, mostly to stall the inevitable if only for a few moments. "Sweetheart, I know that we're busy enough with Lullaby and Savi, but...she said she doesn't have any parents." Her gentle heart had not allowed her to just leave the child there, though she wouldn't make a promise she couldn't keep either. Nor would she push Wild Moon to accept a child into their family if he didn't want to. "If nothing else, we could keep her long enough to find someone else who could take care of her." Though that was a last resort, she hoped. She couldn't put her finger on it, but there was something about this child that made her want to care for her like she did her own precious bundles of joy.

Honeysuckle looked around curiously, as much as she could while still being held by the white fauny. Apparently the blue male that turned to them was the nice lady's special someone, and his name was Wild Moon. That was odd... Though she supposed fitting once she saw the white crescent on his cheek. What really caught her attention was the hair his hair floated around his head like hers did underwater. Except they weren't underwater right now. Blue eyes widened as she stared at his hair, fingers itching to reach out and touch, but she caught the mood of the female holding her - Sweetie, she gathered. She was nervous, and talking about giving her to someone else. "No!" she exclaimed, suddenly clinging to Sweetie Belle. She winced at her own outburst, afraid that she had just damaged any chance she had of staying here. She wanted what they wanted...but she desperately wanted them to want her.

Part of Wild Moon wanted to rush over and kiss her for how caring and gentle Sweetie could be but the other part wanted to tell her that she had to put it back. But how could he even do that?! It wasn't an "it" it was a little child, a baby girl, and apparently without parents.

She looked more naiad than anything, in fact even familiar. He was certain his aunt had one just like her, only Celestia's was now nearly full grown and had legs. Still not a faun! "I...." he paused, words lodged in his throat causing a very painful lump he had to forcefully swallow. He shut his eyes, bringing his fingers to his temples. "Sweetie we..." he stopped again, finding it hard to use words today.

When the little girl cried out and clung to Sweetie it only made things harder. Wild Moon had to stand back a moment and take a few deep breaths to put all his thoughts in a row. "You know I'd be the last person to leave a parentless child all alone, I'm just worried....there is so much tension already. Even if she does look more Naiad than blood pae I couldn't bare the thought of something happening to you like...." he trailed off, not wanting to mention the silver dappled stallion's name or the commotion that took place recently.

Stepping closer to Sweetie Belle and placing one hand gently on her shoulder, he glanced down at the little yellow headed golden child, with her red frilly wings and big blue eyes. Big blue eyes that seemed to just tear right through his soul. She was rather precious... but still. Not to mention there was their kids to think about. Would it be fair to them? Would they even all get a long? Would this little girl even last here without being taken away for some reason or another?

Sweetie Belle chewed her lip as she watched the thoughts flash across Wild Moon's face. She worried that he would say they couldn't keep her, and part of her knew he was right. But she couldn't leave a child alone! She gasped a bit at the little one's outburst, but it just made her hold the child closer.

At his worries, she winced and looked away. "I know, love...I don't want anything like that to happen either." She chewed her lip again. "But...what else can we do?" she asked as she leaned against him when he came closer. "She's just a little girl, Wild Moon, with nowhere else to go, and no one else to take her." She looked up at him, green eyes full of concern for the child in her arms. "I don't want anything to happen like..." She, too, couldn't finish the sentence. "But we can't just throw her out on the street, either." She cuddled the little girl closer. "Can we...keep her? Please, if only for a little while."

Honeysuckle clung to Sweetie Belle as they spoke about her. Her eyes were a little wild as they talked about not keeping her, but she kept her mouth shut. She bit her lip to keep from making another outburst and hoped that they would keep her. She would promise to be the best little girl she could possibly be, she would promise anything if it meant she could stay here. Before she could stop them, fat tears slid down her face.
