My. Mom. Is. Paranoid.
-Kid with straight A's is on Oprah because he was doing ...stuff on webcam for money. Mom assumes I have no common sense and says I'm not allowed to have a webcam.
-Mom goes to a call(she's a cop) because some kid was addicted to CS, his parents took the comp away, and he punched holes in the walls. Mom assumes that I'm supremely addicted to the computer and will do something like that.
The list goes on...

She's gotten mistaken for a boy a few times too. All because of the haircut and clothes. She wears pretty much the same things as you, and her hairstyle is almost exactly the same, and she's naturally blonde, and she's also skinny... xd
Although neither of you have grown into much of a woman's figure yet, I don't understand how people can mistake you for guys... o.O There are certain obvious differences in male and female faces, and both of you are pretty, and don't have boyish faces.
Myeh, maybe most people don't notice the difference. Maybe I only know because I'm an artist and have studied the differences, and tend to notice more than other people anyway... xd

My dad works with the internet. He was one of the people who helped develop the sillicon chip technology. biggrin My mum is more cautious, and likes to assume that everyone on the internet is a stalker or something equally horrific... just to be on the safe side. xd
I don't really know if they'd ever agree to let me meet up with anyone I met online. I think my mum would worry about it a lot. My dad would also be incredibly protective over me.
They used to be a lot more nervy about me on the internet, where I went, who I talked to, that sort of thing. My mum also used to think chat rooms were evil places, but mainly because at the time, there had been a whole thing in the media about them, because some people HAD been stupid, and got themselves hurt.
Now I think they trust me a bit more to have common sense, and that it's perfectly safe as long as I use that.
