Q grinned cheerfully as he came in, dragging his partner along. "Ooh, lookie, we're here!" He then paused, looking at his rather dazed and bewildered partner. "You all right there, Guile? You seem a little out of it." The Sableye ex-thief snapped out of it, giving his new... friend, he supposed... a bland stare as he got up and dusted himself off. "Yes, and I'm sure it has nothing at all to do with the fact that you literally dragged me all the way over here, you air headed lunatic," he noted, his voice as caustic as acid. The albino Elgyem blinked, tilting his head. "Weird... I'm getting the distinct sense you're annoyed with me for some reason..." After a few moments of getting nothing but an incredulous deadpan look, he shrugged, turning to the mass of Pokémon. "Hey, lookie, Guile! Pokémon!" He proceeded to zip over to the nearest group, consisting of a male Meowstic, an Espeon, and a Joltik, sticking out an arm... hand... thing. Oh, and he dragged Guile along too - the guy looked like he needed more friends. "Hiya! I'm Q, leader of Team Oddball, and the Sableye I dragged in is my partner Guile! Nice to meetcha!" Of course, he vaguely recalled something about Meowstic having sensitive hearing, so he kept himself at a normal volume than his usual... exuberance. Nevertheless, he practically radiated earnest friendliness, good cheer, and a distinct lack of sanity, beaming at them as he patiently waited for one of them to shake his hand. Guile stared in exasperation as he managed to pick himself up again, this time making sure to extricate his wrist from his partner's grip (how did he grip so hard without any visible fingers? Seriously!) so that he didn't get dragged anywhere else. Still, his parents had raised him with manners, so he grudgingly inclined his head toward the group in greeting. They seemed nice enough, he supposed, but he wasn't a people person.

Neo Neo positively beamed at the pair, glowing with delight when they accepted his proposal. "Whatever works best for you!" he said brightly, "I'm sure Nyx would be happy to entertain guests, he seems like he wants to get to know as many people as possible around here, but I'd love to see your room too, once you're all settled in." That reminded him, their room wasn't exactly in any state to entertain guests at the moment since the furniture they'd sent for hadn't arrived yet. Nyx hadn't said just how long it would be until that would happen, but they'd probably have some organizing to do once it got there. "We only just moved in ourselves, so our place doesn't look like much yet," he said with an embarrassed laugh, "But still, that doesn't mean we can't have visitors. There's plenty of room at least!" Pressing his head against the cool stone with a sigh, he smiled: his headache was manageable now, just a dull throbbing now and then--friendly, quiet conversation was a helpful way to readjust to manageable levels of sound. "Anyway, I'm sure we can we can figure it out as we go along."
The Meowstic's ears twitched at the sound of their Team name, and he couldn't help but feel that it was incredibly fitting. Encountering them as he did, and being surrounded in the warmth of their friendliness, it was remarkably like standing in a ray of afternoon sunlight. "Sunstrike... I like that! I'll be sure to remember it," he replied. He shifted his position, getting a feel for any shifts in balance. It was improving but not quite right yet. "If you have to go don't let me keep you," he told them brightly, "I'll be better soon I'm sure, and if you have something you have to do..." He smiled good-naturedly. "I'd love for you to stay and chat, but it's not a problem."
Just then another pair of Pokemon showed up, dashing over so quickly Neo hardly had time to figure out where they'd come from. He blinked, green eyes wide with surprise at the enthusiastic greeting, but the shock quickly faded, giving way to an easy smile. "Pleased to meet you Q," the Meowstic said, taking the other Psychic's hand and shaking it warmly, though he made sure not to lean too far from the wall. "And you Guile," he added, offering a wave in the Sableye's direction since the Ghost looked reluctant to involve himself in the situation any more than necessary. "I'm Neo of Team Essence," he informed them, leaning back once more to keep his balance from betraying him again. He looked the pair over curiously: the Elgyem sure seemed happy to be here, while his partner was just the opposite--it made for an interesting combination. He hoped for the Sableye's sake that some of Q's exuberance would rub off on him. The Pokemon of this Guild were worth getting to know, his interactions here had told him that much.

Skye & QuilSkye smiled brightly at the idea of meeting his teammate, wondering vaguely if he was as soft-spoken as Neo was. She was beginning to understand why she'd missed being in the guild so much, with how friendly the Pokemon seemed to be. It was a little chaotic, of course, but certainly nothing she wasn't already used to.
Flushing at the compliment toward their team name, she felt a little guilty at the idea of leaving Neo while he was still unsteady on his feet. It would feel wrong, leaving early when she'd been the one to approach him in the first place. "We could probably hang around for a while longer, I think," she chirped in response, needing only a glance at her Joltik partner to confirm that they were both quite happy to stay in Neo's company.
Then, before she knew it, an enthusiastic blur of Psychic energy washed over them. An Elgyem hovered in front of them, eyes wide with a childlike excitement and a firm grip on his very disgruntled partner.
She forced her fur to lie flat again, a little caught off-guard by the sudden company. They seemed nice enough, though perhaps a little dysfunctional. They would bond in time, but most teams would be a little on edge until they got to that point of familiarity. "Yes, pleased to meet you both," she echoed Neo, extending a paw to shake hands with the cheerful newcomer. She wasn't sure if Guile was in the mood to shake hands- more to the point, coming here didn't appear to be a voluntary choice on his part.
"I'm Skye of Team Sunstrike, and this is my partner, Quil." The tiny Joltik shivered nervously, hugging very tightly to Skye's shoulder. He took a moment longer to process the whole thing than Skye did, and with his minute size, too much excitement meant he'd be liable to be crushed or injured if anyone jostled him around. He knew he was safe with Skye, and that no one would be intentionally causing harm, but the instinct was a little tough to overcome sometimes.
As it was, he waved a tiny claw and smiled as best he could to avoid causing any offense.

"Nice to meet you all! Don't mind Guile, I don't think he's much of a socialistic Pokémon. Or maybe he's just shy, I dunno." Q beamed at them, shaking their hands a far more enthusiastically than their arms/forelegs could probably take before waving to Quil; these new friends were all so fun and interesting! He couldn't understand why Guile didn't want to talk with them! "Or maybe he just needs a hug. Hugs make everything better! ...Except cactuses. They don't seem to notice when they're hugged unless they're Cacnea, Cacturne, or Maractus, and hugging a cactus hurts a lot." Behind him, the ex-thief couldn't help but snort. "No, really? You'd think all those needles would be pleasant," he snarked. "I know, right? I mean, why would there be needles on a plant if they hurt so bad?" Q agreed, completely missing Guile's deadpan expression. "Anyway, we're a Rescue Team. How about you guys? You taken any missions? Cause the only mission I've taken so far is that one initiation mission, though that was pretty interesting - I got to poke a rock, fell through quicksand into a hidden cavern - hit my head pretty hard on the landing, though - and met this Claydol who was nice enough to teleport me back to the guild once I found the Ribbon. And on a completely unrelated note, do any of you play the tuba?" At that last question, Guile turned to stare incredulously, momentarily forgetting that he was trying to avoid socializing as much as possible. "Why, exactly, do you want to know if they play the tuba? Scratch that - what does the tuba even have to do with this conversation?" "Absolutely nothing, hence the 'on a completely unrelated note' bit!" was the cheerful reply before the Elgyem turned back to the others, waiting for an answer for his barrage of questions. As such, he completely missed Guile staring at him in a sort of amused exasperation.

Team CatalystMembers Present: Keivera & Arlyn She smiled up at the Aurorus. She was glad that their leader was willing to speak with them. It was, in fact, reassuring to her. "Yes. I have enjoyed it a lot. Though, at this time we have yet to undertake any requests. This is something that I hope to remedy soon. I was quite surprised to find that my partner was someone that I knew prior to my acceptance into the guild."Arlyn chose that point to interject, fearing that Keivera may yet ask him to explain their late arrival."Keivera and I were childhood friends, you see." To him, despite being perched up high on Keivera's head, the Aurorus was still rather intimidating. After all, he was a small mouse.Keivera nodded slightly to confirm what Arlyn was saying. "Yes, it was a pleasant surprise but there are a few kinks that need to be worked out as far as the way my team operates. I'm sure things will become smoother after we become more adjusted." She hadn't forgotten about what she had told Arlyn earlier, but she was giving him a break. No need to torture him further. "If you don't mind my asking sir, if there is a problem that I need to ask you about, where is your office? I don't anticipate there being any problems, but I like to be prepared just in case." She wouldn't take up too much of her leader's time. After all, there were probably a lot of other teams that he hadn't had a chance to meet yet, and she herself hadn't met any of the other teams yet either and she wanted to try and meet as many as she could before the meeting was over.((Sorry for such a short post and the late reply))

 Veilmys & Ivy
Both Ivy and Veilmys gave a polite nod as Claudius left and then glanced at eachother, the Sylveon smiling wryly. "Please tell me your boyfriend isn't going to torch anything." The comment, as jokingly as it was stated, earned a miffed pout from the tiny Glaceon. "Cousin dear, I'd mind my tongue if I were you. Less you get it frozen in your tea." As Ivy spoke Veilmys had just lifted a small cup to his mouth with a ribbon, having swiped it off the nearby refreshment table, and hastily pulled his head back in time to watch the liquid frost over and turn solid. With a frown he extended the flowing appendage out and tapped the cup against the table;; a curved block of tea-colored ice slipped out with a dull 'thud' on the surface of the wood. "That's such a waste." The Guildmaster said dryly, earning another sweet laugh from the Pokemon sitting next to him. "You're about to wrap this meeting are you?" A curt nod was given and Ivy rose to her paws, "Then I'll see you later. Tell Uncle Solaris I said hello~" With that the tiny Glaceon trotted off, tail in the air. Veilmys placed his now empty cup on the table and stood as well.
"Attention all~ I hope you enjoyed this opportunity to meet your fellow guildmates but I believe we will be wrapping up this little meeting. You may all return to your team rooms if you wish or explore the guild! I look forward to working with you all in the future." The Sylveon bowed his head and then turned to trot out of the room.
Gale The laugh stopped his fretting almost immediately, he tucked his paws up into his scarf and held them there for a moment; the fluttering of his own heart beneath both dark paw pads settled down into a quiet hum. Even if it wasn't the best joke, she had laughed in a quiet and polite way. There was no mockery, no snide curl of the lips. It was nice how she both acknowledged his attempts at social intervention and then swiftly changed topics without usurping him. Gale liked that, he didn't feel belittled and soon he was smiling thoughtfully once more at her question on the mission. It HAD been silly. "I wonder if maybe it's to see who will take this seriously regardless of the mission?" He knew that some Pokemon would find a task such as fetching a bow to be beneath them and opt not to bother. Perhaps the guildmaster was weeding out those types. Surely, you didn't want Pokemon who didn't care in your guild. At the sound of the Sylveon's dismissal he looked up and noticed a small yellow bundle of fuzz plop down from the ceiling and make a hasty exit. Gale faltered, mouth open. No one else had left yet, everyone and their partners were still in the room. Yet his had left him. It wasn't a good show of teamwork and he frowned. While everyone else found their partners and left together, he would be stepping out alone and the thought brought up a very rare feeling of indignation. Gale rarely got angry, he was a kind soul albeit a stubborn one, but when he did lose his temper it shattered that gentle giant image very quickly. Turning back to Jessica he forced up a smile, "You know, I don't...think my co-captain will mind much if you'd like an escort back to your room." He hadn't seen much of her partner around, but he wouldn't mind meeting them. 'They probably won't be as bad as mine...' Silver
Laughter was a nice reprieve from the nervous chittering that Paras made before. Silver waved a paw dismissivally at his apology and smiled in return. "I'm glad! I much prefer reminding others of someone than simply being a stranger, with the attachment of a friendly face it makes getting along so much simpler, don't you think?" The silver feline tapped his paw lightly on the ground in a thoughtful gesture, head tilted slightly to the side as if listening to something near the ground. "I would enjoy meeting this friend of yours in due time!" Silver wasn't exactly a Pokemon who turned down an invitation to meet others. His days with the tribe had repressed much of his adventerous demeanor and so he sought to make up for it with the time he had now. "We will be a most unforgettable treasure hunting team!" He declared, answering Erinn's question and at the same time agreeing to his previous statement. "You wonder, possibly, why I chose that group? Well, what's more exciting than discovering treasure! Also I am quite fond of shiny items." He tapped his forehead gem with his free paw and chuckled, ears pricking upward at Veilmys' announcement. "Ah, I suppose we should be going then~"

Claudius A low chuckle sounded from the Aurorus' throat, and he smiled. "How very fortunate for you," Claudius said, "Having a prior relationship with one's Teammates can help make the transition go more smoothly. I myself was friends with the Guildmaster for many years before he offered me my position here." Veilmys was one of his dearest friends, business relations aside; with any luck these two would be able to achieve similar success as teammates.
"Ah, of course," Claudius said, nodding in appreciation of the Sawsbuck's practicality. "I can most frequently be found in my personal quarters when I'm not assisting the Guildmaster in his office or off on assignment. Veilmys, the others, and myself all have our own designated chambers: they're looked in the Head Wing, which is located directly opposite of the Member Wing, where your rooms are located. Just look for the door with my name on the placard."
Veilmys' voice caught the Aurorus' attention, and he listened attentively to the Sylveon's dismissal before turning back to Team Catalyst. "Forgive me, it would seem my time is up," he said, bowing his head respectfully to the pair. "Do stop by if you ever have any questions. I look forward to seeing what you'll accomplish together." With one final nod, Claudius turned, backing up a few steps first to keep his tail from hitting anyone, and proceeded to make his way down the hall in the footsteps of the Heads who'd gone ahead of him.Neo & Nyx Neo felt a bit dazed after the onslaught of questions from Q, overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of words spilling out of the Elgyem's mouth. That, combined with the minor headache and the head rush that came from the albino Psychic's myriad of excited emotions, left him staring at Q almost dumbstruck. As his tired mind tried to keep up with them he caught onto one strand of the conversation and decided to answer the questions in it. "I, um... My Team's a Rescue Team, yeah... I did a mission earlier..." The Elgyem had said something about a tuba too, and his partner had echoed it, but that was totally lost on Neo since it strayed so far from the initial topic. He tried to put the pieces together, but suddenly he heard another voice, Veilmys', dismissing the gathering out of the blue.
"Oh, do we have to go?" the Meowstic said, startled. "But we were only just getting to know each other." He righted himself on unsteady paws, taking a leaf out of Skye's book and using his Psychic to help maintain his balance. "Well I should probably find my partner then. He'll be looking for me." Turning to Skye and Quil he smiled. "I hope I'll be seeing you soon!" he said cheerfully. "Just stop by whenever you get the chance." Turning to Q and Guile he grinned at them as well. "And you too! If you've ever got some free time you're welcome to visit me and my partner. Just look for Team Essence's room. I'd love to chat with you sometime when I'm a little more...there. My hearing's a bit off at the moment, so I'm not sure how great of a conversation partner I would have been here. I think I'm going to head back there now and get some rest." With one last wave to the members of his little group, Neo set off, taking slow steps as he disappeared into the crowd.
Before Peter had the chance to respond, a Glaceon had introduced herself--Ivy, assistant head of the mercenaries--and then Veilmys had spoken up again, calling their meeting to a close. Nyx released a breath in minor frustration, wishing he'd had the chance to continue the conversation more, but it seemed their time was to be cut short. "And it would seem this event continues to be unpredictable, even in its conclusion." He was slightly miffed, but there was no need to end this conversation on an unpleasant note. "I do hope we can continue our conversation later--perhaps I could even introduce you to my partner, and you could do the same for me, hm?" He smiled, hoping that the Charmander would take him up on the invitation. "Team Essence's door is always open to you Peter," he said, nodding cordially, "Until we meet again." Without another word, the Vulpix turned and vanished into the crowd, having caught sight of the familiar blue and white of his partner's fur.
Nyx fell into step beside Neo easily, as though he'd been there the whole time. "I trust you had a productive meeting?" he said politely. There was something different about the Meowstic, he was walking slowly, but there was a spring in the Psychic's step that hadn't been there earlier.
"Oh, Nyx!" Neo said, the cheer in his voice a definite contrast to the fearful tension from before. "Yes, I met three other Teams, and they were all so nice! I kinda told them they could come over whenever they felt like it, so they'd have the chance to meet you. I hope that's alright."
"But of course, I took the liberty of doing the same with my own conversation partner." Nyx smiled. "It seems we'd best prepare ourselves for plenty of company."Erinn "You could say that yeah," Erinn agreed, cheerfully going along with his partner's casual sense of delight at the whole affair. Silver responded so happily to everything: it was starting to grow on him. He could get used to having a partner like this. "Treasure hunters, huh? I can see you enjoying something like that," the Paras said. "Well, I've never done much treasure hunting myself, but it's never too late to learn, right? It does seem like it could be pretty exciting."
The Paras tilted his head as he caught the Sylveon's announcement, having a sudden wave of deja vu rush over him. Veilmys really did follow in his father's footsteps it would seem, though Erinn had to admit the Sylveon seemed to have a better grip on things than Solaris ever did. "Oh? Oh right! I guess we should." Erinn said, somewhat embarrassed that it had taken him a minute to catch on. "I guess we'll have a Team Room, right?" he asked, large, glossy eyes looking up at the Espeon curiously. "I guess now is as good a time as any for you to show me the way."

Skye & QuilSkye blinked, her ears twitching back as she heard Veilmys calling out to the guild teams in the room. She hadn't expected the meeting to come to a close so soon, but she supposed that her cousin had a lot of work to be finishing. He'd only just started the guild, after all- there was still a lot to be done.
She smiled warmly as Neo bid her goodbye, feeling very much that she'd miss the Meowstic's company. He was a very pleasant person to be around, really.
She felt Quil straighten a little on her shoulder, presumably to smile and wave goodbye to each of their conversation partners in turn, and she held still long enough for him to get back into a secure position before she murmured "Goodbye, it was good meeting you," and slipped off through the crowd toward the doorway.
She spotted Ivy for a moment through gaps between the hurrying Pokemon, but sadly didn't have the time to speak with her personally. It was good to see family again, however far away they might be.
She gripped a welcome package at random with a flash of psychic energy, and slipped out into the hall toward their assigned team room.

Robin Jessica
"Maybe." She wasn't quite sure it was about whether or not the prospective members cared enough but rather... "I think it has more to do with making sure we're capable of going out on our own. If we aren't brave enough, smart enough or strong enough to simply walk out and get a ribbon we're probably not ready to take a mission." These kinds of screening missions weren't uncommon for important tasks. "They wouldn't want to send a gutless rookie on a rescue mission, right?"
Veilmys's dismissal was extremely short and to-the-point. She almost liked it in the sense that it was curt-but-courteous and it was almost callous. That was the sort of relationship you wanted with your employees. Being friendly was a good thing but you never wanted to coddle them. Coddling bred complacency and that was something no standing organization could afford.
Gale's statement (and implicit offer) brought her attention back to him. He was faking the smile. Gale, whether he was good or bad at faking expressions, didn't have the kind of training that Jessica did. Being able to pick up on a nervous tic meant the difference between life and death. Being able to notice a slight shake in the leg was the only tip-off you'd ever get that your client was lying to you. You picked up on these things quickly after a job goes south because your employer or whoever gave you your tip decided to keep their lips shut a little more than they should have.
"Sure." ...Not that it mattered. Gale might have had his own reasons but nothing of his personality suggested that his own decisions would bring harm to her. Knowing that someone was trying to trick you only mattered if you knew that person was going to trick you in order to screw you over. Whatever reason Gale had for twisting his face into a smile, it wasn't one that was going to hurt her so it simply didn't matter. The only disincentive to it all was that, well, Tobias would have to be dealt with. Fortunately for Gale, she couldn't even see the Linoone, so whether he had disappeared back to the team room or somewhere else entirely she could, at the very least, part ways with Gale near the door. "That sounds nice."
Venari Katherine & Arturius
Katherine and Arturius quickly finished up what social business they had engaged in throughout the gathering (which most certainly had not at all been led astray by meta shenanigans) and left, feeling reasonably confident that the guild was filled with decent people. Only time would tell how it was that she found herself within the guild itself but, by the nature of it all, that was something they simply couldn't know yet.
