damage types: Damage Fire Psychic
shambling hoard of zombies: they have relatively low attack, but because they are a hoard, they can't be prevented from using melee against ranged characters. gorgon sisters: there are two of them. in order to prevent them from using melee against ranged fighters, you must have the same number of melee character's as they do.
concerned citizen: they've started a block watch, they attend city hall meetings. and they don't like the looks of you. you'll feel bad for hurting him. shame +5 melee and range: weak, Damage. same damage for both. resistance(s): none
for heroes 1: crit hit, take 0 damage 2-4: 2 damage 5: miss 6-12: 1 damage 13: miss 14-19: 2 damage 20: crit failure, take 3 damage
the block watch: there is a problem in a quant suburban neighbourhood, which you have come to investigate. the locals are more suspicious of you than of your "supposed problem" and have called together their block watch to drive you from their homes! melee: weak ranged: none resistance(s): none extra: this is a hoard. it seems that no matter how many people you have on your side, they have more. you cannot bloke them from attacking your ranged characters no matter what you do. the hoard comes for you!
blood priest: born anew of blood and fire, they took the whole "starting over" thing a little bit too literally. now the priest of their local church and worshiping some eldrich abomination, they cleanse all non-believers with fire. for their own good, of course. melee: weak, Damage ranged: powerful ranged, Fire resistance(s): fire resistance of 5 other: you lower the skill target (ST) of anyone attacking you at melee (making it harder to hit you), those at range have an unaltered ST
rat of unusual (un)cleanliness: this rat has been living in a poisonous swamp for the better part of it's life. it bathes in poisonous water, which leaves it in a state of questionable hygiene. melee: average, Poison. attacks can poison (status effect) an enemy, which will take off x-amount of damage if they don't cure the status effect within 3 turns. ranged: weak resistance(s): (practically) immune to poison
troublesome demon: a demon of particular laziness, it's not a threat to the average citizen. this demon can usually be beaten in a game of riddles, rather than through fighting. but for whatever reason, it has found you "troublesome" and is now barring your way forward. you can't riddle your way out of this one. melee: average, Damage (hits you with flailing arms) range: average, Psychic (attacks you with it's mind!) resistance(s): psychic resistance of 2, fire weakness of 1 other: you take 3 damage on a 1 (critical hit)
1: crit hit, take 4 damage 2: 3 damage 3-10: 2 damage 11-12: 3 damage 13-19: 2 damage 20: crit failure, take 3 damage
