New life was slowly being created in the northern forest among the lands that the B’alam called their home. The north was no place for young life to make it on their own, but for whatever reason the weaver decided that these little lives could stand up against the odds and survive the icy storms ahead. And luckily for them spring was inching colder, which did not mean much besides a slightly less cold environment to run around in. It was better than nothing.
Darkness still claimed the mind of the young cub as he remained curled in a ball of fluff against the snow covered ground. His mind slowly turned in an effort to properly function and wake the young B’alam up so he could greet the world. But like many cubs the youngling refused to wake up and shake the clinging ice and snow from his new fur. Sleep just seemed so peaceful and fulfilling to him. Sleep was welcoming. Sleep was…being interrupted by a strange sensation in his stomach.
“…”
With an annoyed grunt, he slowly opened his eyes. An expansion of white invaded his eyes and nearly blinded him. What the heck was this? The world was just black and now there was all this brightness?
Fearful, he jumped up on his paws and stumbled around before tripping backwards and rolling for a bit. While he had muscles to use he still didn’t know how to use them.
The world sure seemed like a welcoming place so far… Not the mention his stomach was still growling with anger and pain.

Trouble should come in more than just one pack. Yet another life was woven into the icy strands of the northern tribe, a ball of golden fur. The world remained dark and muddled for only a moment for this new awakening. Her own eyes were all to eager to open wide to the blurry palate of pale colors the world had to offer.
Than, as if something had reached out and stung her eyes, she shut them promptly again and pulled her head back with a sharp huff through her nostrils.
Her fur puffed out a moment while she retracted back away from the sudden and very brief sting. So this is how it was to be? Defiantly she opened her icy eyes again. This time there was more picture to the dreary blur before. The light respected her right to see this time and let her sight be. Her ears twitched while she lifted her head very carefully to look over her own back.

A black and brown puff of fur, had already greeted the white frost bitten word around them. Brown eyes had been calculating to open, and interested to see what existed past the dark void. The little wild cub had awoken to a flurry of white flakes, a whirlwind of frost, and two little puffs...
Both had been curled tightly in the white stuff. Watching the different colored fluffs, the black and brown puff watched over them carefully. The white and brown one woke first, and stumbled about. The sudden movement cause the first dark cub to raise a paw. Ears flicked back, as his eyes watched the other. Such a strange looking thing, it looked a lot like what the dark cub...
'~Shepard...' The name seemed to whisper gently in the dark cub's ears. Causing them to twitch, and flick like someone-thing touched the tip of his ear. His head turned slightly, expecting to see someone there. Only seeing a blanket of white, Shepard turned his attention back to the two little lives he woke with.
Shepard's ears where quick to flick and angle back as the second ball popped up to great the frozen tundra around them.
This one was more lively....
Straightening, wobbled legs took large wide steps. That turned into a leap to clear the snow as he tried to circle around the two colored fluffs. The hops where hard to do with his new legs, but the feet of snow was making it hard to walk normally...
He was trying to get to the brown one and help him stop in his rolling.
With a little wiggle of his back side, Shepard prepared and encouraged a large leap. Launching himself, the black fluff suddenly was lost in a pit of snow upon landing. His black body, dissapeired in a patch of deep snow...

The small puff of fluff allowed an irritated squeak to escape his mouth as he continued to roll in the cold substance, that is until something finally stopped the mayhem. He was thankful to finally be still again, and slightly more thankful that whatever had stopped him was soft.
He was not, however, thankful that the world around him seemed to be spinning around as a mile a minute. First the cold, then the bright light, and now this! What was all this? What was this world supposed to be? There was so much confusion running through the poor cub's mind, which caused more pain to shoot through his head. It seemed dizziness and confusion just don't go together.
After a moment or two the small cub rolled back onto his paws. The world still seemed the move, but not as bad as before. It was then, while looking around and trying to get his footing again, that he finally noticed that the world didn't seem so bright or as cold as before.
It was also then that he noticed he wasn't the only one in the area. Puffs of gold and black caught his sight and drove a bit of uneasiness into him. Without even thinking he let out a hiss and bunched up in fear.
Who were they? Why were they here?
'Be calm' something within him said.
Be calm? Wait...what was calm and how does one gain it?
Wait? What was that voice? HOW IS HE TALKING TO HIMSELF IN SILENCE!?
TOO. MUCH. CONFUSION!

Bakara's ears twitched. There was more out here than just the white blanket of snow or the abnormally (so she was convinced) sky. Someone else was near by.
Cautiously her eyes wandered about the powdery white scenery. She squinted. It was odd, but somehow she felt that it would be best to seek out this other presence rather than go the opposite way.
Her hind legs trembled as she begun to pull her body forward with her forepaws. At first they refused to move and her front half ventured too far. Her entire frame trembled before it rolled to the side and she let out a soft squeak.
She huffed.
Once her body stopped rolling her now very trembling legs begun to move again. This time she worked to move her hind legs with her front. Awkwardly she moved forward and toward the other presence she felt.

*Uff*
The little brown puff felt the soft thud against the side of his body. Seeing nothing by white around him, brow forwarded as his thoughts shifted and tried to work though what had happened. Easily he relayed what happened in his mind, like he had seen it. (Which was all vary new to him, though he found to be helpful all the same.) He had been trying to get to the other one like him, to stop his rolling....and he moved...or rather lept, then the was a 'whoosh' and then sight was taken from him only to be replaced by another solid and dark one.
Curious.
Ears shifted at a strange sound. Sounds...that too was new. Helpful, but new. Ears then turned as he shifted, the crisp crunch of snow shifted to his movement. Everything was new, and everything had a sound.
A grunt left the black puff as two brown paws scrambled to pull his small boy back to the surface of the snow. As soon as his paw reached up, it felt something soft. In a instant it startled the brown and black cub! Hind legs rocketed him up and out of the hole.
Puffed, back ridge raised, and ears flicked back, as the stub of a tail hiked it's self up as straight as a pole.
He welcomed the other cub with open maw, showing off his little fangs. It seemed like the right kind of response. His body angled it's self cautiously at the other.
Slowly realization, from the startled burst of excitement caused Shepard to relax his little body somewhat. Enough to turn his head to look over at the other golden cub making their way towards them.

Grunt slowly relaxed when he was sure the other two cubs posed no threat towards him, at least they did not seem like a threat at the moment. Instinct, however, told him to keep his guard up as once could never be sure when something innocent could turn into something of danger, especially since they were easy pickings for whomever and whatever wished to approach them.
For now though, Grunt approached the female and the other male with a bit of excitement. It was as if all his worries just flowed out of him and were replaced with a need to do something, anything! He just needed to move and expel all the energy building up within him.
With a grin on his face, he quickly jumped back, tush in the air and tail wagging a mile a minute. His dark eyes darted between the two and a twinkle of mischief started to show. The air around him seemed to dare the others to make a move against him.
He could take him should they wish to answer his display of play. Yes he could! He was on guard! He was strong! He was...well Grunt didn't exactly know but he was it!

Balara could hear all kinds of strange noises coming from where the "feeling" was. Her ears perked forward and strained. There was certainly something going on. Suddenly, there it was. The source of all this noise was now in view. The brown and black swirls among- swirls? No, morel like dots.
She blinked while her eyes adjusted to the light bouncing off the snow. The darker dots were nicer to look at than the bright powder.
What were they doing?
With as much strength as she could muster, Bakara begun to bound toward the two dots. Her frame drifted an inch from the snow for a mere second before flopping back to the snow. All of her legs stretched downward as she lept again. It was an odd movement, hard to get used to... but fun.

Shepard's nubbed tail straightened out like a pole, his body turned in a hop to the yellow dot as it hopped too. Dark eyes flicked back over to the white and brown fluff. Now what was he doing? He was a 'he' right? (Something inside him just seem to know that...)
A sharp ''e'ow!' beeped in the air, as his eyes bounced between the two cubs. his eyes widened and flickered with excitement. Yes, this was all very exciting and new!
That look on the other's maw seemed to 'challenge' him.
A brown paw halfheartedly raised and batted at the air in a slow wobble towards the brown and white fluff. Yes. That that.
Shepard wasn't one to back down from a challenge. His toes parted and closed a little, before he turned his head to see what the yellow dot was doing as the spotted one hopped and wiggled.
These two looked a lot alike, but different...like they 'felt' like their were different. Like one wasn't like the other, and they were both familiar.
