As far as his personality goes, Aster is serene and straight forward. His actions speak for themselves and he speaks only when he feels it is necessary. Most of the time, he is the voice of reason. He is also a strong, capable and formidable combatant, not to be taken lightly. Aster is often seen as a calm, level-headed, and at times emotional. He often acts as a mentor to those around him and will always try to push those who he deems worthy enough to become stronger. He will only challenge those who he deems worthy and will only fight against an opponent if significantly threatened or provoked.
Aster is also shown to be very intelligent, he has great understanding of the world around him,and know much about the world. Because of his calm and level-headed disposition, he is shown to be very serious for most of the time, rarely exhibiting humor. When he does so, his humor is very dry. He is determined, concentrated and independent,yet known to be a cold and cynical person, to most people. He admits that he can be very short toward people , but that it does not mean he has something against people he's short with. When born Aster was known as a prodigy among the members of the Yaso branch. At the young age of five, prior to any training, Aster achieved a full demonic possession. As he grew older, his natural prowess became even more pronounced.His parents were famed Yōkai Taijiya of the Yaso; humans skilled at killing Yōkai. They often were paid handsomely to drive away and/or kill troublesome Yōkai,and would bring Aster along . Even without the spiritual powers of the Yakō, they utilized special weapons an equipment to combat demons just as effectively. By the age of 16 Aster was among the most notable of the clan.
However, during one of these missions the demons proved to powerful,and Asters parents were killed protecting him. Ironically he was rescued by a Yakō branch member, who then raised him in his dojo for orphaned children where Aster was to be trained as a swordsman despite his heritage. During Aster's time at the dojo he killed numerous demons in an attempt to learn the location of the ones who killed his parents.Thanks to his refined demonic possession, he tracked the demons down in a matter of days. Once there he found that another man was after them for his own reason,and the two decided to team up. Here, Aster firmed his resolve. He remembered his sole purpose; to become a warrior that his parents would respect,and to avenge their deaths. Eventually he succeeded,and proved himself to the Twin Moon sisters. For proving himself a Legitimate successor Aster was given his clans most sacred treasures,and allowed to be trained under the sisters themselves.
He alone was tasked with protecting the Sacred Temple,and is the only one who knows its location. Sometime in the years after Aster married his Masters daughter, and now has two children. With the region slowly becoming more unstable he fears for his children's future. Due to his unique Chi, he can change his body to his younger self on a whim. This often leads many to underestimate him in battle.

Full Moon Style (名月流, Meigetsu-Ryū):The Full Moon Style is a form of sword combat that focuses more on defensive maneuvers when used against other blade-wielding opponents. The style also heavily relies on footwork, often using retreats and even twists and turns to narrowly evade attacks, the elegant movements making it appear as if the user were dancing.To utilize this style Aster must empty his mind,and be formless,shapeless like water. If you put water into a cup,it becomes the cup.You put water in a bottle and it becomes the bottle. That water can flow,or it can crash. To be like water one must be able to function in any scenario they are thrown into and, react accordingly. Aster is skilled enough to know when to speed up or slow down,when to expand and when to contract,when to remain flowing and when to crash. It is the awareness that both life and battle can be shapeless and ever changing that allows him to be able to adapt to those changes instantaneously and bring forth the appropriate solution. To utilize this style Aster must become unpredictable, and strike from his subconscious mind. His moves flow out of his individual essence. Even the most masterful opponent will fall from a strike that has no history or reference.
Instead of meeting opponents head on when defending, assaults are foiled by using the blade to change the trajectory of such assaults, unbalancing the enemy and creating openings for swift counters. Offensively, jabs, superficial cuts and even thrusts are commonly employed as means to frustrate and exhaust enemies, before a decisive, more typical sword strike is used; this only holds true against those who cannot be defeated easily, though. A multitude of lesser opponents are normally bested with just one precise, devastating cut.

The cross guard has four prongs bent out to form the shape of the manji. Both blades are extremely flexible, with their respective the blade can be bent nearly to the hilt without breaking. Apparently the swords have the inscription "New Moon Sword",and "Full Moon Sword"on each respectively. With the sound produced from these two swords when struck in a specific way, the resting place of the Twin Moon Clan Masters can be reached. Also, the beautiful sound is said to be able to calm the most savage of beast.

It works by using the opponent's energy as a source of power, rather than Aster's. The sword passively siphons an enemy's Chi matches the harmonics against them. Doing so can thereby nullify or disrupt an opponents Chi flow to cause great internal damage. It form changes depending on Asters Chi.

1↔ Saigetsu (再月, Rebirth Moon) Eternal Recurrence: When Eternal Recurrence is activated,Aster blocks and catches a blast or projectile attack, with his sword and then redirects it. This attack allows Aster to avoid heavy damage, while returning and magnifying the potential injury to its source,however he can only block one type of attack at a time unless he uses two swords. The release is slow so one might be able to dodge it depending on the attack he is countering. However, the downside of this attack is that it is indiscriminate and unselective, meaning once it is released it could hit anyone or anything in the way. 5 post cool down.
2↔ Torite (捕手, "Catching Hand"): The Torite is a technique that allows for a martial arts master to deflect and catch actual weapons. With a skill level like Aster , the Torite becomes great to catch the blade of even most Zanjutsu masters. The idea of Torite, or rather his use of it, works according to the method at which Aster uses his hand to catch onto an opponent's sword. By his own immense comprehension of energy and force flow, Aster causes the entire force behind the opponent's sword attack to essentially move around his hand and escape from the opposite end in the very minuscule instant that his hand and the opponent's blade come into contact; that very instant. Therefore, attempting to strike down Aster with a single sword technique is virtually impossible. 3↔ Ken'atsu (剣圧, Sword Pressure):Aster's signature technique that allows him to manipulate the shockwaves by channeling his Lunar Chi ability through his sword. He can send the shockwaves by swinging or just simply moving his sword. The main ability being that the Yin he exudes purifies evil,while the Yang uses evil to empower the user. However,this form can only be maintained at night and is affected by the moons presence. His skin becomes the color of dark chocolate,hair is turned pure silver, elongated to run down past his shoulders. Aster gains appendages atop his head that strangely resemble ears,as well as blade-like protrusions coming out from his forearms.In this form he utilizes a curse known as Lunacy ("The Moon Reader's Godless Realm"). This is a technique that provides him with the ability to project his power using glyphs. Afterward the glyph of his Epitaph appears under him, and white-black flames of Lunar energy erupt from the ground. The flames cries out an eerie moan immediately followed by the sound of prayer chants in the form of a hymn that echoes throughout the immediate area, often confusing those who witness the transformation process.During the hymn itself, Aster is encase in a sphere and his skin turns pure white. His powers proceeded to merge into one form, one that combined aspects from both his demonic and lunar traits in a perfect harmony. As the hymn nears its end,his epitaph becomes golden and spreads over the sphere like runes.Once he channels his Lunar power thru his swords he makes a diagonal swing that causes the sphere to shatter like glass and reveal his forms true beauty. He gains a skeletal mask with horns,and his coat an hair both turn white with black ruffles on the cuffs and edges of the robe, as well as gains a long, black horn with a portion of bone covering left side of his head. 2↔ Meidō Zangetsuha (Dark Path Slashing Moon Wave):Aster concentrates and condenses a lot of his Chi before releasing it at the tip of the blade, magnifying the slash attack, that flies forward. This slash takes the shape of a crescent moon or wave. Aster has used this technique in several different manners, such as striking the ground to create an omnidirectional blast to knock away incoming attacks or slashing at the ground to upturn it and crush everything in its path, or a barrage of blades that ripped apart whatever they hit. 1↔ + Demonic Possession: Harmony of the Twin Moon:Aster draws the Twin Moon swords and strikes them together producing a magnificent sound. Afterward the glyph of his Epitaph appears under him, and white-black flames of Lunar energy erupt from the ground. The flames cries out an eerie moan immediately followed by the sound of prayer chants in the form of a hymn that echoes throughout the immediate area, often confusing those who witness the transformation process.During the hymn itself, Aster is encase in a sphere and his skin turns pure white. His powers proceeded to merge into one form, one that combined aspects from both his demonic and lunar traits in a perfect harmony. As the hymn nears its end,his epitaph becomes golden and spreads over the sphere like runes.Once he channels his Lunar power thru his swords he makes a diagonal swing that causes the sphere to shatter like glass and reveal his forms true beauty. He gains a skeletal mask with horns,and his coat an hair both turn white with black ruffles on the cuffs and edges of the robe, as well as gains a long, black horn with a portion of bone covering left side of his head. 2↔ Meidō Zangetsuha (Dark Path Slashing Moon Wave):Aster concentrates and condenses a lot of his Chi before releasing it at the tip of the blade, magnifying the slash attack, that flies forward. This slash takes the shape of a crescent moon or wave. Aster has used this technique in several different manners, such as striking the ground to create an omnidirectional blast to knock away incoming attacks or slashing at the ground to upturn it and crush everything in its path, or a barrage of blades that ripped apart whatever they hit.
