It 2030 and on the initial surface humans and mutants tenitively get along. There are not laws preventing mutants from succeeding in the world though many srill hold prejudices. Most of the original X men have retired or died. Though there is a tenitive peace under that surface mutants are still feared and hated in the community. In order to help with the unrest in the populace the government begins a plan to create a "specialized" force to police both the humans and mutants. All this turmoil under the surface is just waiting to bubble to the top. What shall the future hold?

It has been a quiet year the Friends of Humanity have been mostly quiet aside from a story here or there. The prison break sullied their previous reputation. While no outward hate for mutants, tensions are still high. The X-Men and Brotherhood hope to to increase their ranks. Whether it is to protect mutants or to prepare to fight back what some see as a coming battle is unclear. For some the year of quiet is welcomed. Others are simply waiting for the storm.
