Following her he offered an honest appraisal of the skill, "That is a great skill! I am sure the tree has benefited from it." Baskets were very useful objects. Some looked awesome and all had a needed function. Already he was thinking of different uses for baskets, utilitarian and protection for the tree.
Shaking his head he told her gently, "No apologizes needed."

She looked up at him as he praised the skill, feeling a little less silly about it. "Thank you." She said softly, smiling a little. She shuffled away in her mind that she should make him a thank-you basket of sorts.
She turned down a hall and, shifting the pile into one hand, freed her other in order to turn the knob and open the door. The inside was rather modest, with only a few decorations, and a woven screen cut the room into half. She moved aside the screen to reveal a massive pile of baskets, both done and in the process, and materials. She had a few large baskets, nearly half her size, that held most of the grass and reeds, and some smaller baskets that held leaves and soft rocks for her to grind into pigment for dyeing.

Following her silently, he made small mental notes as to where he was just to ensure he didn't get lost. The Tree was huge and eve as connected as he felt to her, getting a little lost happened. Flying was a huge boon but time without wings taught him not to take advantage of it.
Once in her room, it was clear she worked out of the space. It was certainly a nice little nook, appeared comfortable. Placing the items down as neatly as he could in a clean space, he asked, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" He'd stay if she needed him to, otherwise he didn't want to intrude on her space.

Olea had already begun to sort out the straw into different lengths and thicknesses, putting them into very organized piles. She looked up in surprise at Everfree, then smiled warmly in thanks. "Oh no, no. I should be alright now. Thank you so much for all of your help, you really didn't need to." She placed both of her hands in front of her, then bowed deeply in her show of thanks.
Hours later, there was a knock on the prince's door. Olea stood outside it with a large basket in her arms. It was light, as it was empty, but still rather awkward to carry as it was short and squat, met to be both storage and decoration, with a lid that separated completely. It was her way of saying thank you to the prince for his kindness, as she wasn't sure how to repay it any other way.
Nervously, she shifted on her hooves, a finger playing with a stray fiber on the basket. Maybe he wasn't in... should she just leave it there outside his door? Would that be strange?

As the door started to open, a winged monkey answered. Or appeared to as she had decided to wrap her tail around Everfree and push her feet against his chest so she could see who was at the door first. The female monkey gave a few sound bites and then took back off back into the room.
Everfree's nook was well at home within the tree, green and branches took up more then the bed and desk. With a monkey as a companion, the climbing spaces were a must.
With his vision cleared, he was finally able to see who was at his door. It was not who he expected. Twilight to check up on him perhaps, but no one else was expected to visit. Even so he smiled at the mare and complimented what was in her hands, "Hello, it is good to see you. That is a very well made basket you have." She had to have been the one to make it, it was clear that there was skill involved.

Olea started in surprise when a monkey's face peered at her from the door. She took a step back, wondering if maybe she hadn't found the correct room after all. "I-I'm sorry. I was looking for an acquaintance...." Her voice faded softly as she started to turn to leave, confused.
However the monkey moved to reveal Everfree, which only caused Olea to feel more anxious as she stopped. As he complimented her, the fauny found that should couldn't say much of anything, her voice mysteriously gone. Quietly, she held the basket out to him, clearly offering it to him.
"This is for you." She finally croaked out, her face feeling as if it were afire. "To thank you for your help earlier."

Confused Everfree was silent after greeting his guest. eyes falling to the basket she was offering him. He hasn't expected a gift of any nature for the action and had a momentarily pause in processing. It was rude to decline a gift and especially one as well made and usefully as the one she offered.
Kicking in a warm smile he gave a half bow and thanked her, "You didn't have to but I'd be grateful to accept the basket." It was kind of her to offer him anything certainly not expected. Refusing to use his levitation, the additional help moving anything would be fantastic.

The silence that fell as he looked at her basket only made her more nervous. Oh... he clearly didn't want this. Looking down at her hooves, she was about to turn and run when he finally spoke up and accepted what she'd brought. "I-I-I'm so sorry, I was... I-I-I assumed that y-you would... Don't f-feel like y-you must take it."
She shifted on her hooves, awkwardness overcoming her again as she focused on a point on the floor. Her ears flattened a little.

Trying to dissuade the notion, he quickly added, "I am very grateful for the basket, you did an excellent job with it!" She was a true craftsfaunny if he'd ever seen one. Happily he placed the basket on his desk with the intent to put it to work later.
It was awful of him to make her think he didn't like it. Approaching the crystal mare he added, "Thank you very much! I don't deserve the gift but I am glad for it." In his own way, he wasn't sure how to express it any better and just hoped she'd forgive any rudeness she might have seen in his own response.
Remembering why he was traveling down the hall in the first place, he bowed once more, "Forgive me, milady, I must depart!" Holding his gift close, the stallion moved on his way bidding her a good day.Kira of Flames Its only been two months shy of a year sweatdrop I am deeply sorry for this all,
