Mark walked in from the kitchen and patted her head for a second or so and rubbed her cheek. Hun, it will be gone in a day or so, how about you watch some t.v or get on the computer. I know I don't have much for you to mess with other than that though.
He lets his hand drop to his side as he sighs looking back into the kitchen. "The pancakes will be done in a minute or so and I am making some potatoes that I would like you to try... I don't know how you can stay healthy when all you really want to eat is cooked flour and syrup." He says wondering what her body runs off of.
Starting to head back towards the kitchen as the smell now wafts into the room and the pot starts to heat up more for the potatoes. "If you would like we can go somewhere or something, I have an umbrella and I don't mind going with you. It should be less crowded as it's raining so hard.

"I know..." She mumbled, happily accepting the head pats before pouting as he walked off. Silently she followed behind him, easily tracking his movements before pulling him into her. Nuzzling the back of his neck before letting him free.
"Thank you for making me breakfast." Her smile evident as she spoke. Practically skipping to the table where she took her usual seat and continued to watch the rain. It blanketed the world in a melancholy state and the humans seemed to fall into a similar state, causing her to be skeptical of the integrity of the human race. How had they survived all this time?
"Is it really safe?" She asked, knowing the man on the television had warned the civilians to use these umbrellas in the case of the rain. Perhaps they were special shield? Absent mindedly she swung her legs as she thought. Trying to figure out just what the rain actually was.
"Did you have some place in mind?" She asked finally turning her attention back to her partner.

Mark was surprised by her nuzzle, but not enough so to happily nuzzle her back before she went off into the kitchen to sit down. He had followed her in and went over to the stove placing the final pancakes on a large plate and taking the potatoes off the stove top, adding some spices, and then putting them in a large bowl on the table. It was a bit starchy of a meal, but the milk and tea he had made would hopefully offset any dryness as the syrup was already set out.
Sitting down with plates and silverware next to her he let her grab food first as he leaned up against her kind of tired as it was a lazy day and the rain was soothing to him. Listening to her two questions he wondered himself if anything would be open. Remembering as he watched the news earlier he gave his response. "It isn't too dangerous, we just need to keep an eye on the weather and make sure to be back before night fall." He says then thinking of where to go
Looking up at nothing in general he places his left hand lazily on top of her head, rubbing and patting it gently as he loved the feel of her hair. It was soft and silky, but he wouldn't say it aloud. Finally thinking of a place to go he looks over and smiles. "How about the arcade, museum, or the theater?" He asked wondering what she would like to do. He assumed he would have to explain things as she still wasn't used to t.v if they went to a movie.

"Weather?" She asked happily accepting more head pats. It was literally her favorite thing in the world. Nothing made her more happy than having her head pet. "Is it really that dangerous?" She asked not exactly sure this dangerous scale. Humans seemed to be afraid of their own shadows, yet water falling from the sky was perfectly normal? She eyed the window eating more of her pancakes. It was currently a good morning, and she enjoyed the food and company. Especially since Mark was slowly showing her more attention as of late. It made her less gloomy even on this dark and grim day.
"What are those things like here?" They had similar things where she came from, but she knew they would be very different from what she knew. Though art and music didn't seem so foreign to her as she had expected. It was different, but she loved the history these things had. Here everything had it's own story, and no one had forced it upon that thing. Even she was free to choose what she wanted.
"I want to go to a place you enjoy."

"How did you not have weather where you were from? It is the state of the atmosphere at a place or time on the planet. So the weather here will be different somewhere else, like in Metropolis where it might be sunny and no rain yet." He says trying to define and give an example of what it is. "It is a heavier rain today so a lot of local places may have shut down. but I don't think the places I named will be. I will check online first of course." He says wondering how dangerous it is.
Thinking on the places he mentioned he starts to list them off one by one. "Well an arcade is a place where people gather to play a bunch of different video games. Older types, but on a more larger console for others to enjoy, or we could stay here and play a game together. A museum is a place you can visit to look at art and pieces of history, while learning about who made them, why, ect. Finally a Theater... Well the one I am thinking of is a place that shows new popular movies that come out are not shown on t.v yet."
Slowly getting tired of patting her head he stops and rests it around her limply. "Well I think I would prefer the theater or museum myself, I can always play games back here if I want. It's your choice though." *He says popping a potato in his mouth.
