Kali: >> <<..-runs her nails down his back, gently scratching it.-
Gabriel: O.O *Goes completely limp with a groan* Please don't ask me to do anything. I don't think I'll be able to say no if you keep that up.
Kali: -grins- Oh so then I should keep this in mind. -purrs a little, and scratches a liiittle bit stronger-
Gabriel: Nooooo, for-forg- oh hell yesss-ss-sssss. *Eyes roll back in his head and purrs even more*
Kali: Where have you been you sneaky Tomcat? -still running nails up and down his back.-
Gabriel: *Opens one eye* Looking for something.
Kali: Hmm? -hand stills and her eyebrow arches- What might that me?
Gabriel: *Pouts* No reason to stop...
Kali: -hand resumes what it was doing.- I'm sorry, you had me curious.
Gabriel: *Goes back to purring* I've heard humans say that curiosity killed the cat.
Kali: Mmm.. Most likely humans that haven't met me, I'd assume. -grins.-
Gabriel: *Chuckles* Humans that haven't met any cat. *Reaches into his coat and pulls out a silver eternity ring with alternating white, red, and black gemstones*
Kali: Precisely. -closes eyes and snuggles closer to him, nosing into his jaw. She had news, but it could wait awhile.-
Gabriel: *Holds up the ring* What do you think?
Kali: -pulls away from his jaw to look at what he was talking about- Think about wh-.. -looks at the ring, fingers touching before smiling back up at him.- Now what is that for, Gabriel?
Gabriel: *Shivers for a second at hearing his name, but holds her gaze* For you. I'm not really the jewelry-wearing type.
Kali: Aw, what a shame. It would be quite a look on you. -purrs and holds her hand out to him.- BUt you're right, it will look far better on me. -still purring.-
Gabriel: *Looks at her offered hand, the right one* I was thinking it'd go better on the other one.
Kali: -stills for a moment, staring up at him questioningly.- Oh would it now? -holds up her left hand.- I think you are probably right. -still looking up at him.-
Gabriel: *Shifts so that he can hold her hand in one and hover the ring at the tip of her ring finger* Here?
Kali: -smiles, and nods.- If I didn't know any better...-begins, heart fluttering.-
Gabriel: *Grins, slips it on, and gives her nose a kiss* If you didn't know any better, what?
Kali: Are you asking for my hand, Trickster? -smiling, but looks a bit vulnerable.-
Gabriel: Probably. Figured it was about time I made this official.
Kali: -holds back a perfect timing joke.But holds her hand up to look at it sparkle in the light.- You sure are a lucky man. -nuzzles her nose against his jawline again.
Gabriel: You're welcome to remind me every day. *Nuzzles back and pulls her close*
Kali: Oh I don'tt hink that's going to be a problem. -muses a little, drawing her fingers across his arms gently-
Gabriel: I didn't think so, either. Now... Weren't you scratching my back a few minutes ago?
Kali: -sits up, motioning for him to lay on his belly and then sitting next to him. Nails dancing across his back.- So.. Gabe.. What do you think about... kittens? -changes pressure in the scratching periodically.-
Gabriel: Ffffffffffffffffff. Mmmmm, what? Kittens? *Shudders at the change in pressure* Ah, kittens are nice... why?
Kali: I need a reason? -keeps drawing her nails over his back.- Maybe I just wanted to know what you thought about them. -her tail twitching around his calves.-
Gabriel: *Would shrug but can't move* No, but can't blame me for wondering what.................. What brought it up.
Kali: -grins- Well.. We were talking about life changes.. Kinda. -looks at the ring.- Aren't kittens next, or so the song goes? First comes love, then comes marriage?
Gabriel: *Snorts* Never thought I'd hear you quote a human-child's song. *Rolls over onto his back and catches her hand so he can kiss it* Really, is that all that made you ask?
Kali: -hand stills as his fingers twist around hers.- There may be more to it. -suddenly feeling incredibly vulnerable, and clears her throat. Eyes locked on the pretty ring.-
Gabriel: *Frowns a little and sits up, still holding her hand* Kali? Talk to me.
Kali: We just had such a beautiful moment, are you sure you are wanting that to end so soon? -smiles softly at him. Her free hand softly touching his cheek.-
Gabriel: What could end it?
Kali: Mmm..-takes a deep breath, heart pounding in her chest.- Well. I'm not sure the best way to say it, so I should probably just say it. -another deep breath.- I'm pretty sure that we are expecting kittens.
Gabriel: *Blink. Blink.... Blink* What?
Kali: -sits up straighter, only to hide the heart of the rabbit she was currently bearing in her chest.- If I am, it's early yet. -eyes still glued to the ring, afraid to actually meet his eyes.- I will say I do not like feeling this vulnerable, either. -sighs and looks up at him.-
Gabriel: ... ... .... .......... *Stands up*
Gabriel: *And sweeps her up into his arms and carries her to the couch. Mutters about sitting on the floor, even if there is a carpet*
Gabriel: *Kneels in front of her* What do I need to do? Should you even be moving around? *Glances from her face to her stomach and back again*
Gabriel: *Runs his hand through his hair* We shouldn't be here, I'll go find somewhere better.
Kali: -squeals when he scoops her up unexpectedly, and straightens out her dress when he places her on the couch.- You need to breathe first. -smiles warmly.- We do need to leave here. But I worry for you. I'm already a handful. -grins, leaning over to touch a strand of his hair.-
Gabriel: *Flops onto the couch next to her and takes a slow breath* As long as you don't kill me, I think I can manage.
Kali: Mmm. Early yet, I'm not sure about the kinds of promises I can make. -grins, running her hand over his hair and the back of his neck.- For what it's worth.. The idea of parenting is appealing to me.
Gabriel: Good, because I think I'll be awful at it. *Reaches over and places his hand where his kittens might be growing*
Kali: -places her hand over his on her belly, and scoffs at him.- Don't think those things. Part of the appeal is they are yours. -smiles softly.-
Gabriel: *Ears flick back a little* I'm not... used to having... this. Just don't want to screw them up, that's all.
Kali: First, I'm there too. You'd have to go through me to screw them up. -smiles.- I think you'll be better at it than you think. I believe in you.
Gabriel: *Smiles a little and nuzzles* You'd be the first.
Kali: You can add however many are in there to the list too. -looks nervous for a moment.- Oh my God what if there are too many?
Gabriel: *Chuckles a little nervously and gives a little squeeze-hug* We'll figure it out.
Kali: -resumes running her nails down his back.- I love you, Gabriel. -purrs-
Gabriel: *Flops a little* Ahhhhh, luvutoommmmmmm.
