Lafayette gave a loud yell of pride, thrusting a fist in the air as he was declared the winner. Damn straight, he was a winner! And with only two of his team? Well, he couldn’t be prouder.
"Rippa’ job Noah! G’donya for tha’ fight. Yeh did get stronga’, huh?" The Aussie praised as the pokemon toddled up, slapping a hand on top of the Dewott’s head and giving him a proper pat of approval. Noah’s cheeks tinted a bit pink, a large grin spreading on his face. He was still getting used to this attitude change, but he was still enjoying it. Lafayette pulled his hand back and looked at Cheri, who was slightly worse for the wear. You wouldn’t have been able to tell though if she wasn’t disheveled and crispy looking (fire was a mean element, wasn’t it), her gaze never wavered.
"... Yeh too, Cheri." Lafayette said, giving her an approving nod. He wasn’t about to relish praise on her at this point in time for not getting knocked out in battle, but it was good to see she was keeping up as well in the toughness department. Blaine approached the trio to hand over his winnings, jokes aplenty about his defeat.
Lafayette thanked the man and took his winnings, fumbling to get the badge in the case, tossing the discs in haphazardly and giving an ‘ororo’ of a goodbye to the elderly man before heading back out to the pokemon center. It was still a shame how disappointing the training had been and while he waited for Noah and Cheri to heal up, the Aussie took a moment to think about his next course of action.

His team still needed training, much as Lafayette wanted to avoid it. So the next step would be just that. It was a shame that these tasks that Juliean sent him on were downright tedious; a guy like him wasn’t used to doing the same sort of thing over and over again.
Maybe that’s why Juliean sent him to do them. To annoy him.
Whatever. He was going to get this done and have the b*****d off his back. The Aussie took a deep breath, shuffled through his bag once more to confirm he had what he needed to get the job done, before retrieving Noah and Cheri from the nurse. The duo looked better after a little TLC (or Noah did anyways, Cheri was forever staring into the souls of others as though they had dishonored her family or something). To make the oncoming trip easier, he returned the two and made a trip over to the PC. There was something he needed to pick up to speed the process along. Juliean had provided him a few commodities to try and make life easy, for all that mattered, as he achieved his tasks and Lafayette vaguely recalled one such option.
His eyes focused on the odd-looking vials that appeared from the storage system rotary. Lafayette could’ve sworn it had a bit of a glow to it; was this actually safe for pokemon? Gingerly, he picked one up and eyed it further, twirling it a bit between his fingers. If his memory served him well, he recalled Juliean mentioning that these things helped with powering pokemon? Resetting them? Something like that.
The end situation was, it would make them stronger. Now the legality of it? Lafayette wasn’t sure. Which is why he’d find out just what it did in a more secluded area. He snapped up the four vials, tucking them away in the cloth previously used to cover his face back at the mansion. It’d be a pain in the a** if they broke in his bag; he probably wouldn’t hear the end of it either. There was a final trip to the pokemart (or what mart there was anyway) before he strolled his way down to the waterway. This time, he wouldn’t fly but instead found himself someone to take him across the water by boat. Dova would be getting enough out time once they got where he needed to be after all...

Screams, hurried shouts, panicked footsteps, they were drowned out by the roaring inferno and crumbling concrete. And yet, higher above that, all Jinx could hear was her heart hammering in her chest; loud enough to drown out the wind, and the patterned beating of Tanzanite's wings. It was calm above the skies, while down below chaos spread as quickly as the fires; birthing a juxtaposition that left Jinx eager to stretch a hand out to the ground. She held back, both figuratively and literally, and forced herself to remained content with the show that was all her own.
But even that couldn't last, as a voice in the back of her mind reminded the Void agent that she had to rendezvous with the boys, and before her presence was noted. The voice grew louder the longer Jinx lingered, until eventually it was screaming. With a heavy exhale, she begrudgingly directed Tanz away from their position and back towards the ground. Jordan was already waiting, knelt down in front of the same bag from before. Her arrival wasn't enough of a reason to tear him away from his work, and he gave only the faintest of grunts to acknowledge her presence.
Recognizing the bag to be the same one he'd brought the C4 in, she tiptoed over to him to watch as him. From what she could tell, he was performing an inventory check. But that was the wonderful little added bonus about explosives: even the most mundane tasks were made intriguing. "Can I have—""No." It was almost as if he'd anticipated her question, so quick was his response, interrupting his colleague in the process. Jordan zipped the bag up, hoisted himself to his feet, then turned to face Jinx, where his neutral expression was met with a glowering pout. The latter was quick to dissolve into thinly veiled disappointment before the blue-haired woman turned sharply on her heel and marched away, grumbling underneath her breath.
She'd done her job — perfectly well too — it was only fair that she be rewarded. "Need I remind you that you're still on a probationary period?" Jordan spoke up, his voice alone irritating her further. "No," she grumbled, teeth clenched. Even if that was a lie, because she'd definitely forgotten. Guuuuuh, it'd only been a few weeks, and yet it felt as if it'd been two years since she'd been forced to head into Sinnoh.
You accidentally explode one lab, one time...
Zak and Adam returned before her irritation could truly set in, and both Jinx and Jordan looked up expectantly, only for their expressions to sour when they noticed Zak's. "Were you unable to—""I'm leaving. I'll send ze information to Imperium later." Jordan fell silent upon Zak's, abrupt, explanation, while Jinx huffed. Why was he waiting until later to send the blueprints? She wanted to see them now, see what kind of weapon Imperium had deemed worth stealing. Mouth open, and eyebrows scrunched together to express her frustration, Jinx only ended up coughing as Zak took off on some giant bird. Lungs too preoccupied expelling the dust she'd managed to inhale, she wasn't given the chance to make her demands. In the end, the most she could manage was a scowl in the direction of the quickly retreating Russian.
"Tch." She'd gone from (subpar) detonation to being refused her C4, and now dealing with a pissed-in-your-coffee-cup supposed teammate. The lows had officially overtaken the highs, and with that Jinx's interest waned. "I'm leaving," she announced, though her fast-working footsteps were announcement enough. Without another word she climbed aboard Tanz's back once more and took off, though they were only in the air long enough for them to land on another side of the island, where she'd left Sphene and Opal behind. The pyromaniac bush seemed to be doing well, puffing along like a chimney with his eyes cast towards their surroundings in the search, in the hope, of new opponents. "We're going." It was all the warning she gave before returning both pokemon and returning to Tanz.
What a stupid mission this had been.
Jordan, who'd stayed behind, turned to look at Adam, visage carefully blank. "You'll be able to give a report of what happened inside." It was an expectation, not an inquiry. Feet already carrying him away before the redhead could respond, if he even gave one, the Imperium agent stopped just long enough to give one, last look back at the thick black smoke that that rose into the hair; from the shore, it probably looked as if the volcano had erupted once more. At the thought of this, the corner of his mouth rose into the ghost of smile, before he disappeared.

The Air Taxi landed in Cinnabar Island and Gio already wasn't having it. This place was far hotter than he expected, probably didn't help that it sat on a Volcano. Gio stretched before walking towards the Gym. The gloves were coming off and he was gonna do a little more damage than he normally would. If Blaine was used to be part of Team Rocket he deserved to have to pay for it. His strategy was simple, he had given Ame two Heart Scales on the way over one to learn the move that Empoleon just had and the other to teach a Rock Type Move called Diamond Storm. Empoleon would go until he just couldn't anymore, then Amethyst would finish the job.

The battle was actually far longer than he wanted. That damn Magmar was a force, but the Old Man was right setting up in a Battle definitely helped out. The last two Pokemon stood no chance and with all the Earthquakes Empoleon threw around it would take awhile before the place was in tip top shape again. Since he already wasn't in a good mood Gio made sure to talk as much smack as possible just to rub it in. He had hoped he would never have to fight a Fire Type Trainer again for as long as he lived.

"Uuuuugggghhhh that suuuuccckkeddd," Gio groaned as he left the Gym. All the Earthquakes Empoleon used caused some real damage inside. He didn't care, just another Gym on the hit list in Gio's eye. "You know Lucario since the Old Man is paying for our Taxi back to Johto I say we keep the meter running a little while longer." Gio stretched out towards the sky as if he finished a longs day of work. They walked to the Pokemon Center after Gio spoke with the Air Taxi Cabbie and explained the situation to him.
The Cabbie didn't care since he was getting paid regardless, but he did mention that he wasn't going to wait around all day. The lounge of this Pokémon Center was slightly different than most. For starters it had a sauna built in or at least what he assumed was a sauna. The last time he had seen one of these was in Hoenn. He liked to avoid that place since this one Old Lady always liked to pawn eggs off on people. That was besides the point though, Gio came here to heal his Pokemon and eat some food and that's exactly what he did.
Lucario didn't battle so he enjoyed a Berry filled lunch with his Trainer. He noticed that once they left the Pokemon Center Gio stopped at another place and purchased some supplies. Lava Cookies and Full Restores is what he heard, then they met back up with the man flying them. It wasn't long before the pair fell asleep on the ride.
