~Yasogami Sporting Events~ 2-1
What festival would be complete without putting your full, nerdy athletic abilities on display for everyone to laugh at cheer for! In the prime of your youth, putting your skills on display for the world to see! Running, jumping, more running! We have it all! The track and field of Yasogami shall be the centerpiece for a showdown the likes of which the world has never seen before!
All day there will be events for classes to compete in, striving to reach the top! The first is 'Destroy the Flag'! It's like Capture the Flag...but no holds barred! Whoever destroys the opponent's flag first shall be dubbed the victor in this glorious tug-of-war like contest which completely lacks any back-and-forth due to it's sudden heavy emphasis on offense!
There's also a Relay Battle Race, making use of the track that surrounds Yasogami's field...test your legs and your endurance by passing the baton from one to another, overcoming the trials and tribulations to carry your team to victory! But there's only one baton per team, and no rule against shady tactics to rid the opponent of theirs! On top of that, one team is clearly a group of generic punk type characters from the Red Dragon delinquent gang! What the hell are they doing here?
And don't forget the torch lighting ceremony, which will lead to the bonfire to end the day...but it's said that dropping the torch will bring seven years bad luck on the school! Well that doesn't sound like a competition. But did you know, that rumors abound a group from Okina plan to steal the torch!? Strive forward, young Yasogami students, and protect your futures!
There are also hurdles, an exhibition soccer match, and more! Fun abounds where spirits burn brightly! So lets the games begiiiiin! Quote: Come and test your skills in any contest of athleticism you can imagine!
Soccer and Basketball are available all day!
At appointed hours, a Kill the Flag match, and Relay Battle Race shall begin as well! Sign ups begin immediately!
And at the end of the day, there will be a Torch Lighting Ceremony followed by a Bonfire for all to enjoy!
And more!

Yasuo Utsumi, Yasogami Student Council Vice-President "We're all products of our circumstances and what we make of them.""AAAAND the first game of the day goes to Class 2-3! Courtesy of our very own Student Council Vice-President, Yasuo Utsumi!"
...
It had been a fiercely competitive match for so early in the morning; soccer was fairly popular at the school, after all, and ever since last year's incident with Daisuke and some old girlfriend creating drama among the team members, things had somehow picked up dramatically for them. And two of those very same team members were representing Class 3-2 in a soccer challenge to open the Sporting Events at the Festival on the soccer field. It was well known that in Festivals such as this, classes were competing directly both with their booths and separately, with their performances in the 'Sports Festival' itself. Each class would participate in matches against other classes, and whichever class had the most points by the end of the day would surely win a prize of some sort. And as a member of the Student Council, it was Yasuo's duty to ensure that these things were going smoothly...and that students found it worth their while to participate in the various events. This also meant he had to represent his own class, Class 2-3, in as many events as he could manage...including the very first game of the day.
And despite the presence of two of the soccer team on Class 3-2's opening roster, Yasuo had managed to slow play down just enough that when the time wound down and the score was tied at 1-1, he'd only have to make that one excellent play to beat them...which he did, not thirty seconds before the end of the contest. It was a surprising victory for a group of friends (all games were voluntary, members rotated based on who wanted to play, the only rule being that you had to be in a class to represent it in the game) who weren't really known for their sporting skill...but that was the influence and surprising acumen on the field of the Vice President. Even with underwhelming force, a proper strategy could win the match. He had proved as much, and thus, 2-3 now stood atop all others in the Sports Festival...for the moment.
"Good work, Junko...Hayama, that was a nice pass at the end. You all did well," he praised his teammates as they high-fived, the early-birds of 2-3 having done their part for the moment to help their class win, "Get some water and tour the booths for a while. Then if you like, maybe we can challenge Kou and the other Seniors to a basketball game..."

Raidou Kuzunoha "I wouldn't get my hopes up. I already dealt with that trash." Just as Yusuo's last second goal sent a cheer up across the field, did another voice crush the happy vibe that was blooming underfoot. There, exiting the outdoors basketball court set up for the festivities were a group of young gentleman who seemed to be having a ball all their own. "If they're going to make us compete, the least the classes could do is put up a challenge. Hey, where's our hurrah?" The group was made up of what seemed to be nothing but a bunch of punks, but at the head of them was one of Yasogami's most notorious, and biggest skippers; Kai Kuzunoha. Though he'd been going by Raidou lately, which made more than a few people shake their heads on it's own. Changing his name had started more than a few rumors, but anyone could tell you that it wasn't something your average High Schooler managed to do. "Hey, you listening? Announce our victory already! I wanna hear the babes swooning! Shee hee hee." Behind him one of the others put his foot up on the desk of the announcer, a wooden sword across his back and a cool pair of shades covering his eyes. "Aiyee...o...of course! Class 3-3 w-wins...in an absolute shut out!" Rumors had been flying about a group of shady students hanging around, delinquents who didn't normally come to school in lieu of hassling people along the walk from Samegawa...but now they made their appearance, the dreaded Red Dragons of 3-3. "Ha ha, yeah! You hear that? We're reveling in sweet, sweet victory, so come get some my sweets." The obviously-dyed blond haired student grinned, making a kissing face at a pair of girls as they passed. The look on their faces said it all, but even as they hurried along a little bit quicker no one spoke up. "W-wait...you don't seriously call that a victory, do you? You guys cheated! You seriously just call it a win if you just injure enough of us that no one wants to play anymore?" Just then one man was brave enough to speak up, as the head of the Basketball Club limped over to the desk. "Bark bark! I hear a yapping dog. Hey, your guys gave as good as they got, right?" Another kid smirked as he stepped in Kou's way, a bandage covering fresh wounds from the match they'd been playing. It was true that the game had been rough, but it was obvious that his bandage was the only injury any of the 'pals' had suffered...and only that when one of the Club Members had decided to put up his dukes after one of their guys hobbled off the field from an elbow to the gut. "Nah, I guess you guys really didn't. Man, I can't believe the basketball team's made up of such panty-wastes. No wonder you guys are such losers. Kaa ha ha!" Apparently the insults were too much to bear, and Kou stepped forward quickly, balling his fists at his side. Instead however, a yell suddenly came from the side, where forehead came down on the bridge of another student's nose in a dreadful headbutt. "Woops, watch it! My head's got a mind of it's own. Cha ha ha!" Kou stopped when he heard the yell, and quickly hurried over to catch his teammate before he hit the ground, gritting his teeth as he glared up at the poofy haired b*****d. "Hey, are you alright!? You..." "Cha ha! That's a good look you've got on your face. Whaaat, I wasn't looking where I was going. It wus an acsident, pwomise." The largest thug chuckled again, staring straight into Kou's scowl. And no one had even seen how Kou ended up in such a state, but the kid with the wooden sword ran his hand against the tool again, as if taunting the student...and Kou noticeably reacted, choosing not to say anything despite the obvious challenge. The poofy haired delinquent turned towards the crowd, making a few moves to make 'em flinch, letting out another laugh. "You want some too, goatee? Huuuuh?" Yup, this guy was that kind of guy... "Don't look at me that way Yasuo. Things are just getting interesting. My boys'll finally get to have some fun, and you guys get to try and topple them. But I will be taking home that prize..." Kai was on the side of the field, but it mind as well have been the center as focus shifted to the pair, aided of course by the weasly eyes of the group surrounding them prying at each and every student that passed by. "That's a promise!" He folded his arms and let out a rare grin, not a despicable taunting face like that of his allies, but one that truly dared others to try their best to overcome the obstacles in their path. It felt less like he was trying to chase them off, like the three before him, and more like he was begging them to rise to the occasion...and even with that, the three never turned and cast a dimwitted glare at the head of the Red Dragons. To do that after all, was something they knew to be equivalent to death.

Yasuo Utsumi, Yasogami Student Council Vice-President "We're all products of our circumstances and what we make of them."He didn't have to search his memory long to recognize the owner of that voice, nor did he need more than an instant to recognize the Red Dragon Delinquents as they made their way onto the field and let their presence in the Sports Festival be known. With names and faces like theirs, after all, how could you mistake them for anyone else? Still, if they were intending to intimidate or scare off any of the members of Yasuo's team...they were doing a great job, most of the ones in the back already scampering off and making way for the thugs that had just finished their basketball beatdown of Kou's classroom basketball group. To his credit, the Vice-President seemed relatively nonplussed by their tactics, but knew that without a full team, there was little point in pushing back against them in any fashion within the rules of the Festival. And it wouldn't do to act in any fashion outside of it right now, either. Besides, despite all of his personal shortcomings, there was a spark of something in the leader of these delinquents that he continued to see and want to turn to some kind of use in this school before he was done. A confrontation now would be...ill-advised.
"Hm...Class 3-3 looks like a tough out, after all," the Vice-President shrugged and glanced over at Kou, still reeling from the response to his protests and nodded towards another of his teammates to quietly escort him away from the soccer field before things escalated, "You know, despite all of this, there's still a place on the Disciplinary Committee with your name on it. I have no doubt that the four of you would be...well-suited to dispensing justice on the students here." He reiterated the offer he had made back at the beginning of the Fall Semester and betrayed no disappointment or pleasure over the matter. Instead, he merely moved a few feet to the right and picked up a bottle of water, popping the cap before offering it to the delinquent...not really bothered at whether he accepted or not. In reality, he knew it was relatively dangerous toying with these sorts...but this wasn't the first time he had crossed paths with the latter three, whether the leader was aware of it or not. He knew the sorts of things they got into in the evenings from his excursions after Akane...and he knew, quite well, what would happen if the three of them alone were to try and corner him. Of course Kai was a different story, but...he didn't intend to stick around long enough to let any real hostility take root, if that should be the way his thoughts trended.
"Think it over," he nodded, taking a sip of his own water before stepping around the thugs and moving towards the school building to peruse some of the other booths before his next sports challenge, "Until then, enjoy the Festival."

KisaKisa stretched as she headed out onto the field, curious to see what kinds of sports activities would be taking place here. There appeared to be a few delinquents about, but she wasn't paying them much attention for now. Instead, she quietly retrieved a soccer ball - the basketballs looked a little too well-polished, and some instinct encouraged her to stay away from them - and quietly began making her way over to a corner of the field. Well, at least the bonfire later in the evening ought to be fun. She rather liked fire... especially the fire on her bike, but she couldn't summon her beloved ride here without causing a lot of avoidable problems. ...Though maybe she could take that cute boy from earlier for a ride sometime.

Quote: Competition ensues!
The thugs are now available for battle or challenge in any competition! Though no weaklings, and prone to using dirty tricks, the pride of Yasogami is on the line!
Will the brave student body prevail?
Battles against the thugs may be controlled by the RPer for fun. Just don't pwnxor e'erybodeh, of course.

KisaIt wasn't too long before she actually began playing with others, though. Kisa had quite a few difficulties when it came to social interactions. Finesse wasn't really her thing, but other people were also there to participate, and this was how things were supposed to be, right? That was how she ended up darting across the field, kicking a ball around, and dashing forward... only to realize a few moments later that one of the thug-like boys had deftly kicked the ball away from her and was running down the field. ...Sports were harder than she'd thought.

"Woops." Suddenly a ball smacked Kisa in the back of the head, though logic said they were probably aiming for the pointy part of her neck instead, likely due to some whim a normal student would never understand. "Looks like I missed. I thought I'd nail it for sure, but instead she musta blocked it with that big head she's getting. Ka ha!" Considering she hadn't been blowing them out of the water in the first place, it seemed like it was unnecessary for them to start cheating and picking on her. But at the same time, people could rarely understand what was going on in the mind of thugs this cliche. A glare shot Kisa's way as the kid spat to the side, as if he were ready for another fight, and even the teasing wasn't really entertaining him anymore. "Well, she can't keep up with your moves anyways bro. You see the way she was waddling across the field like a toddler? Leaving the ball with a girl like that'd be a waste anyways. You should leave sports to the real men, and maybe practice something more comfortable. How about playing dress up, or guy-hunting, hm? Want to give me a smooch?" The punk began making a kissy face at Kisa, poking at wounds that he himself had opened...and meanwhile the other was on the far side of the girl with the ball he'd kicked away, watching with an intrigued eye and a smile that spelled mischief yet to come. "Whaaat, you're not mad, are you? We'll give it back if you want. We're not bullies...kya ha ha." There was no doubt that he was hoping she'd ask...and that would only lead to more bullying.

Student Council President Mataki Hito
"If this ball's not for girls, perhaps I should take it off of you." Suddenly a foot slid under the blond, removing the ball at the same time that it called out to the red haired kid with a bad attitude. Mataki put his foot down on the ball as he folded his arms and glared at the middle-man, a challenging countenance on him. He wasn't very good at soccer, but these guys didn't exactly look like Neymar either. And more than that, he was clearly pissed...even if he did have a clear look in his eyes as he kept his temper in check. "I expected today to be a lot of fun for students, and yet here I find the slackers who've skipped more days of school this year than they've attended. It does seems like you're having fun though, so I hope you don't mind if I join in." Taking the pause as a sign that his attention had shifted, the glasses-wearing delinquent tried to thrust his foot out and kick the ball away, only to hit air and find himself falling off balance as Mataki moved the ball a step back with his foot, sliding his toes under it to toss it up in air...and as it came down, he kicked it over towards Kisa, though his foot 'slipped', causing the ball to bounce off the punk in front of him's face...before rolling in the general area of the girl, at least.
"Though, I don't recognize this game. If you want to have a match, then I won't argue, but you should at least try to make the teams even. If you try something like that again, I'll have you write apology letters to everyone present as punishment. You'll be begging me to show your aching hands mercy until the very end." Dealing with these guys would be difficult for anyone, but Mataki had the privilege of holding the upper-hand for the time being. Part-time jobs that were against the rules, Moms who'd give them an earful, attendance records...he had a few cards under his thumb, and his timely intervention meant things wouldn't go quite their way like they had been all along. But he wasn't a brute himself, and he couldn't outright threaten them...so instead he'd play by their rules, for the sake of the students! He'd just make sure to bring them down to a fair level, where the thugs were no better than anyone. "I don't know though. We could team up Kisa, but if we do it'd kind of feel like we're bullying them. As a representative of the Student Council, I'd never want to be the center of that sort of accusation." And that of course was an outright challenge, as well as a bit of a spirit-invigorating joust towards Kisa. It wouldn't solve anything if he simply came to the rescue, but if he could make her confident enough to show them up on her own...he'd assist in a little rabble rousing anytime.

KisaShe wasn't very good at reading social cues, but... these boys didn't seem like they were exhibiting proper Japanese behavior. She was about to open her mouth and reply to them when Mataki darted in, responding to their taunts with barbed words of his own. She lightly rubbed the back of her head - what kind of idiot shot a ball straight towards a bloody spike? - and considered Mataki's statements for a moment. "...It's a sports festival." she eventually replied. "They're the ones who came here to play, so I don't think it's bullying if people go against them... unless, of course, they're scared of a girl who doesn't know the game and a boy who's usually doing work in an office. If they're too frightened of us to actually play the game, then I suppose the responsible thing to do would be to leave them alone..."She put one foot on the ball, then passed it back towards Mataki. She definitely needed to work on her skill and her aim, but at least her ability to kick the ball hard wasn't a problem.

KisaThe sun was higher in the sky by the time this particular game finally wrapped up, and Kisa panted slightly as she considered the events. She hadn't even known half of the tricks their opponents had used were possible for humans to do. They were... actually kind of amazing in a way, even if Mataki had seemed to think they were semi-constantly breaking the rules. She didn't know enough about the game to decide one way or another, but exercising for a few hours had been a lot of fun... and after wrapping up, she headed over to the girls' shower room to clean off. She didn't want to get lunch while all sweaty, after all.
