What is this?
If you’re interested in getting a custom, this is the place to be! Customs are pets that have been customized to your liking for a set price. However; we do have some guidelines that we’d like you to follow! First, let’s go over some definitions that will be useful to know when aiming for certain customs.

Slots
Or chances at obtaining your custom, if you prefer. Colourists will state, at least generally, how many customs, or “slots” that they’re willing to take on. These are won in three different ways; rolled, speed, and CCed.

Rolled Slots
When a colourist wants to give every entrant an equal opportunity at obtaining their custom, they “roll” their slots. Anyone can win in this instance.

Speed Slots
These slots go to the fastest who post. The colourists will usually claim how many slots they have open, and customers are expected to post their forms as fast as they possibly can in order to win.

Colourist Choice
Another way a colourist can choose their slots is through colourist choice (called CCs for short). This is where they pick which ones they would like to do or feel inspired to do. Sometimes, they may make a list and roll through their CCs. Colourist Choice also refers to when the customer wants the colourist to choose what some, or all, parts of their custom look like. Fair warning, when you list something as “Colourist Choice”, then it’s up to the colourist discretion on what something looks like. You have little say for that section when this is listed.

Species Choice
Species Choice is simple. Choose which Charm lines you want your custom to be on. Currently, we only have Fox’s.

Growing
In customs, you can get adults, charms, and the middle stage. If you do order a growing, however; it costs more. See the prices post for more information on cost.

Colourist Limitations
Each colourist here has their different limitations on what they can and can’t do. In order to see what they will accept and what they won’t in their slots, read over their information when they open customs. It’d be wise to read over their information each time you enter your forms because they may have changed their stance on some things.

Markings
Basically, what the pet’s body looks like. Are they plain with little to no markings? Or do they have spots, tribal, henna, tattoos, swirls? It can be as complex or as simple as you like.

Complex Markings
Complex markings are difficult or time consuming markings that the colourist finds to take a long time to do. Some examples that colourists may find challenging are tribal and henna. Also, any marking that covers almost the whole entirety of the body.

Edits
Edits are any changes to the existing line art. They can be just about anything. Here in Charms, we have no limits to edits as long as the lineart isn’t completely changed. So a cat tail, headphones, three legs? All are fine by us! Let your imagination run wild!

Edit Add Ons
Edit add ons are any edits to a pre existing pet. It’s up to a colourist if they accept this or not. Some edits are hard/practically impossible to add on, especially if they’re heavily edited. Please ask the colourist before entering a pet for an edit add on.

Body Edits
Any body edits are considered physical characteristics of the pet. They aren’t clothes or items. Some examples of body edits are tails, claws, ears, expression, and hair.

Multiple Images
You may request for “multiple images” of a custom, but this needs to be noted in your custom form. Multiple images usually consist of a base to show the markings, however; it’s up to you to decide what your multiple images have! An example of multiple images would be a Base with no edits, an image with all edits but wings, and then an image with all edits, including wings. Additional charge may apply.

Minor Edits
Minor edits are simple changes that a colourist can do to the existing lineart for a small added fee. These include frowns, claws, piercings, and other small items. Generally, Minor edits change less than 25% of the existing lineart.

Moderate Edits
Moderate edits are as they are described. Nothing small, but nothing large either. Usually less than 50%, they can be things such as different ears, different tails, a piece of clothing, and other minor edits.

Major Edits
Major edits tend to be less than 90% of the pet. These edits drastically change the pet, and can include outfits, animal changes, extremely long hair, amongst other items.

Extreme Edits
Extreme edits can be just about anything that covers most of the pet. As long as the line art isn’t 100% completely changed, it could fall into extreme. Mostly, heavy edits with minute detail or complexed edits would be considered extreme.

Cosplay Edits
Cosplays have cosplay edits. That is, edits that pertain to the character. They can be minor to extreme, depending on the cosplay. However; because they’re cosplays, there is also a small added fee onto the price. Please find good, quality references for the cosplay that you want. The more, the better in a cosplay’s case.

Re-custom
Re-Customs are customs that are re-done for a price. All pets can be redone in customs.

Twins
Twins are allowed in Charms, however; if they aren’t same-sexed identical twins, then there’s an added price. Different sexed twins are double the cost, same sexed twins with slight re-colourings are ¼ double the price, ones with slight edits are ½ double the price, moderate edits- extreme edits may be double the price or ¾ double the price depending on the colourist and how drastic the changes are.

Twins, however; also count for one slot instead of two when entering for customs. That is, if they’re nearly[/identical, or mostly the same.

Mocks
Mocks, or customed offspring (whether real or fake) are allowed in Charms. In order to see the information about mocks, please see our mock approval thread here/

General Formalities Banner here

Read Slot Rules!
Every colourist has their own separate rules. Please read over the colourists information before posting your form. Things may have changed from the last time they opened up slots, or they may be “unique”.

Forms
Forms should be filled out with what you want in full detail. If you just want something that’s mainly Colourist Choice, that’s fine. However; do note that anything that’s mainly going to be Colourist Choice is going to be up to the colourist. You’ll have little say.

Proxy
Proxy’s are allowed. However; the gold should be given to the proxy so they’re able to pay in time. Also, the person who’s proxying may not enter their own forms. This is subjected to change per colorist, though will be stated in their private rules.

References
All references, visual or not, need to be PG-13, not traced from the original lineart, owned by you and if not, permission needs to obtained if necessary.

Payment
Typically, payment is in gold. However; it’s up to colourist discretion if they allow items. They may allow payment in items. However; customs aren’t bribes. Anything that’s above the price listed would be considered tip and only included in the trade.

WIP
Work in Progresses will always be provided upon request.

WIP
Work in Progresses will always be provided upon request.

Limits
Customers are allowed to get 2 customs per month.

Trade and Cancellation
Payment is supposed to be sent within the first 24 hours. You may be warned if you forget to send it, however; that would be up to the colourist. The colourist has a right to re roll your slot if 24 hours has passed. Please talk to the colourist about canceling the trade to your custom, if you no longer want it. If it’s been past two months and the colourist hasn’t touched your custom or given good clause as to why it’s taking so long, you may ask for a refund.

Co-Owns
Co-Owning is currently not allowed in Charms.

Newbie Definition
The definition of a newbie varies in time and depends on the colourist’s opinion. When newbies are mentioned, the colourists will list what “classifies” as a newbie.
