Adopt: Green Haired Orderite Boy
Character Name: Aiolos Vasant
Gender: Male
Class: Mage or Warrior, it will depend on how RP in his first stage goes as well as those he meets. Either way he will follow the path of one of his parents or the other.
Personality:
~ Lonely: Aiolos was born to and raised by two very doting parents, was with them at almost all times, learning everything there was to learn from them. After he lost them he was left by himself, shaken and confused. Being left on his own at such a young age wasn't something that he'd expected to happen and he's doing his best to try to keep going forward despite the heavy and painful blow caused to him while he was still young.
Aiolos was bounced around between other family members that seemed to have little interest in him, before he found himself left on his own instead. He tries not to think about those people, not wanting to even consider that such people are even related to his precious parents.
~ Bitter: The situation, as well as the strange creatures that stole Aiolos's parents from him, are things that Aiolos feel quite angry toward. It's not something that he likes to talk about, not wanting pity or sympathy, though he tends to think about them often. After he lost his parents, and while still mourning, he was unable to properly say goodbye to them due to being sent from place to place as his family attempted to find a someone to look after him. It wasn't something that ever happened though which has caused him to turn his backs on them just as they turned their backs on him.
~ (Zealous) Loyalty: As much as he can no longer stand his own family, or the monsters that killed his parents, he tries not to blame all Orderites even after all that has happened. Given how much the Orderite people meant to his parents, as well as serving Aevah and Seren, but it came be difficult at times. He is aware after all who made the Mara, but at the same time he also understands to a degree why they were made. The idea behind them, which was the protection of their people as well as them fighting in the place of living soldiers, is what he tries to instead focus on.
Aiolos knows that his parents would never want for him to hate his own people or Aevah, so instead he strives to remain loyal to them. His attempts to do so has caused him to focus all of his negative emotions toward the Mara instead those that made them. He feels that if he can hate the Mara for what they have done instead of his own people for making them that he can follow in the footsteps of his parents as a loyal Orderite. He feels that fighting with and killing the Mara will help to ease the pain in his chest.
Despite Aiolos being lonely, and wanting nothing more then find someone to make friends with, it might take him a bit due to him having difficulties with trust. Anyone who finds themselves able to befriend him will find that his loyalty towards those he cares about runs deep. He will do anything to protect them, even risk himself due to not wanting to lose anyone else he cares about.
~ Driven: Aiolos acts in a manner that is very driven, wanting nothing more then to get strong so that he will be able to take care of himself. After he'd dealt with having been juggled around by members of his extended family he's decided that he would rather not risk relying on others in the future. He just wants to be able to stand on his own feet instead.
~ Proud: On his own, without any family he wants to speak of, and without anything to call his own he will be forced to do what he has to do to survive. He has his pride though, something that is sure to make that difficult.
The idea of stealing, taking advantage of the kindness of others, things like that, won't sit well with Aiolos. There is also the fact that he doesn't want to rely on other people for help or hand outs, meaning he will instead do his best to instead work for anything offered to him. Earning his keep, as well as his place, and even things as simple as food, it something that will be quite important to him.
Quirks
~ The Blue Feather: Aiolos has a blue feather that he wears in his hair, one that belonged to his mother. Before she went off to battle the Mara alongside his father and a squad of Orderite soldiers she gave it to him, telling him that it was for luck. It's something that he guards zealously, not wanting to lose his last connection to her.
~ Nightmares: The Mara tend to invade Aiolos's dreams, making it a bit difficult at times for him to sleep. He's only seen a few of them in the past, mostly from a distance, but that, along with what they did to his parents, was enough to fuel many a nightmare. The more his mind builds them up as a dangerous threat the harder the idea of facing them is. Still, it's something that he really wants to do no matter how scared he is of them.

Biography/Background:
Father: Cimon Vasant, Orderite Mage, focused on healing.
Mother: Isleen Vasant, Orderite Warrior, wielded a heavy weapon.
~ Parents: His parents seemed like the perfect couple to him, always together, serving their people, Seren, and Aevah Avi in a faithful manner. They would fight anyone that they were ordered to fight no matter what be it Oblivionites, dragons, or anything else requested of them. If it meant keeping their people, and their son, safe then they wouldn't hold back.
~ Home Life: Aiolos spent a lot of his time with his parents, traveling with them, learning from them, being home school by his mage father during their travels. He was taught to read, write, about the races, and various other information that he would need to learn to best serve his Aevah and Seren. The only times that he wasn't with them was when they were sent, along with their squad, to deal with one threat or another. During those times he would stay with a family member or another.
Staying with them for a small amount of time was alright enough, it was just when he was seeking a full time home that they couldn't be bothered. His time spent with other relatives wasn't anything worth writing home about as they tended to make it seem as though they were doing him a great favor. His presence, during extended visits, was seen a bother and he was made to know it. Staying with his relatives was something he more as something he had to do instead of something he wanted to do. He dealt with those visits, looking forward to when he could return to his parents once more.
~ The Loss: The Mara invasion is something that Aiolos remembers as being quite a messy time. One in which his parents seemed to be gone more often then they were home, out fighting and dealing with the seemingly endless waves of the creatures. There were times when he was left on his own, forced to wait for them to return because a group of Mara arrived with no warning and there was no time to get him somewhere safe. Those times were likely the worst, waiting alone in silence for his parents to return.
The battles against the creatures seemed to get more and more complicated as time passed and as various new types of the creatures appeared. One day a group of them arrived that were made of diamond, or so it was said, and from this battle his parents never returned. Aiolos desperately wanted to believe that they were just held up or that they were on clean up duty or something as simple as that. Anything so that he didn't have to face the truth that was finally brought to him in the form of a letter of condolence from those in charge of the Orderite army.
He was alone with the letter for a few days before the first member of his family showed up on his door step.
~ Juggled Around: After the loss of his parents began the time in which he was shuffled around from home to home amongst his family. There were those who had too many kids, those who had never wanted kids, those who just out right said he wasn't their responsibility and so on. It was a tough time in which he found himself missing his parents that much more as well as resenting his extended family for their lack of any form of sympathy toward his plight.
The end game was when one of his uncles, one who complained about how 'it would never have happened if his brother had married a good women' dropped him off at an orphanage, telling him that he'd be living there from now on.
~ The Orphanage/On His Own: It might have been the best thing for him as those in charge, as well as the other Orderite orphans, at least seemed to be better at understanding what he was going through. There were those who lost their families in the same manner that he did, those who hated the Mara as much as he did, which seemed to only feel his desire to one day fight the strange beings.
Aiolos stayed with there for a time, but it became clear to him that he wasn't going to be taken in by anyone. He was too old, those coming through seeming to want a younger child or baby to raise as their own instead of someone who was already a preteen. It was something that bothered him, but only slightly. While the idea of being taken in had been a nice dream at the same time he didn't care for the idea of anyone trying to replace his parents.
After a while he started to plan for the future, where he wanted to go, what he wanted to do, and how he'd go about it. Without much of anything of his own he knew it was going to be difficult to strike out on his own but he didn't want to depend on those in the orphanage too long, feeling as though he was becoming a drain on them since it wasn't as though he'd ever be adopted out. Once he had a vague plan in mind he headed out after saying his goodbyes, heading into the world world in hopes of making his way through it to the Mara, once he made himself strong enough.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: Due to him being so focused on problems that are closer to his heart it's difficult for Aiolos to really think about the bigger picture. There is a part of him that is well aware of the hatred between the Orderites and the Oblivionites, knowing it's something that he will likely become a part of if he joins the Orderite army when he is older. It's something he doesn't really think on a lot though, he knows and has seen 'his' enemy with his own eyes, and it's not those from Soudul.
Thoughts on the Magescian Races:
~ Orderites: His own people, those that he is loyal to because his parents were. He struggles a little with the fact that the Mara, the very creatures who killed his parents, were made by the Orderites though. He doesn't want to turn on his people though knowing that his parents died fighting for them. He instead prays to Seren to give him strength and guidance so that he can continue to serve his people to the utmost.
~ Oblivionites: From what he was told they are a group of dark, scary, soulless creatures that are the natural born enemies of the Orderites. They aren't to be trusted or befriend as they will likely stab you in the back the moment that they get too close. Despite knowing all of this he doesn't hate them as much as he does the Mara. Hard to dislike something for what you have heard about them only in stories and have never seen play out in person.
~ Dovaa: Another group that he doesn't know a whole lot about from personal experiences but instead from what he was told about them. He knows that they are related in various ways to dragons, that they share some of the same clan names and powers as dragons, and that some of them can even turn into dragons! They sound fascinating and he'd like to see one of them himself one day soon.
~ Hybrids: He's never met one. There are a lot of rumors that fly around about them, about how awful they are, how they are abominations and the like. There are others who seemed to be more lenient toward them leaving him with mixed messages. The way he seems it is that he will need to meet one of them before he is really able to make a concrete decision about them. Surely they can't be as bad as some of the things that are skulking about the world.
Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora:
~ Dragons: Dragons are a rather large, dangerous species, and the idea of fighting with them is a bit intimidating to Aiolos. He knows that gathering dragon orbs is a way to prove one's power and therefore it's something that he will do, though only once he feels that he is ready to do so. He wants to be able to fight with such creatures, as well as prove himself by collecting their orbs for Aevah, but it will be something he has to work himself up to by fighting smaller, less frightening creatures first.
~ Khehora: Interesting creatures, ones that can help to augment the powers of those that they bond with but at a price for both sides. Aiolos doesn't feel as though he is really ready for something like that though he wouldn't mind possibly meeting one of the feral ones at some point to learn more about them.
Perhaps, sometime in the distant future, he'd like a Khehora of his own, but for the time he isn't up to so close a bond with something or someone when his heart is still wounded. It doesn't really seem fair to either side.
Other: INCOMING, working on this in detail in word
~ Mara: Of everything in the world, the Oblivionites included, the only thing that Aiolos really hates are the Mara. They are a group of monsters that swept across the world like a plague and killed a lot of innocent people before they were finally pushed back to Eowyn. Amongst those lost to the Mara invasion were his parents, leaving him all alone to fend for himself in a great big world that has no sympathy for the weak.
Despite his fears of the creatures he wants nothing more then to go after them, to fight them, to get revenge for destroying his family and shattering his very world. A difficult thing to achieve when one is all alone, without any sort of backing by anyone else, but he will do all he can to find himself a weapon so that he can go after them.
