Ohanzee gives his eldest a nudge on his purple shoulder, then lays back down with a soft grunt. Dizziness overtakes him for a few moments, low blood sugar kicking in a bit after so little food. Despite this he smiles up at them. "I was so...scared when I was alone with you. I uh..." Glancing aside he cuts himself short, deciding his very bloody past should be kept quiet. "I wasn't...always friendly back then...You..heh...might say I started out as a nightmare many...many years ago. I'm older than I look.."
Hearing the question from her youngest brother she looks at him then to the swamp lion, her heart still rended. "..." Though she felt very conflicted by her father she in no way would tell the poor little muddy cub what had happened. Not fully at least.."Oh...I...I got hurt a...long time ago. That's...that's all Mahkah. D...don't...worry though." Back to the others she unwittingly shows them all the ugly marring of her otherwise smooth soft fur along not just her shoulder but her throat slightly. "...Father is back. So...don't...don't worry anymore, ok..?"
Ahote would blush a bit hearing that from Annelise, a new expression on his stoner face...joy. "Uh...heh...Thanks. That uh...that means a lot, ya know? Never saw her so it's like I didn't have a..." Sitting up he looks at her more intently now, eyes wet. "Really..? Me? I wasn't your...you didn't birth me...I uh...I guess I -did-...or I...I -do- have a Mom." Realizing how emotional he'd gotten he composes himself...but not before licking her cheek with the same longer tongue like his father has. "Ey! The old fart here is our pops!" He'd grin at Keme, then stare at Kaya quietly in shock. What the hell had a set of choppers that could do damage like that?!
Mahkah looks to each in turn, nuzzling his father tenderly then padding over to his big sister. "Kaya..?" Looking up at her he could see the scars, eyes going wide as he snuggles up to her side lovingly...getting mud all over her in the process.

Anne nuzzled into her mate's chest, and purred. "Love can bring out the best in the worst lions or dragons," she whispered warmly against his chest. She felt Ahote lick her cheek and she turned her head to look up at him with a smile filled with love and joy that reached her eyes. "No matter what happens, if you need a place to stay, you will always have me as your mother, Ahote." Her voice was filled with emotions at his words, and she knew neither Ohanzee or her would die anytime soon. They would get stronger and together, with their family, they would become a strong, loving, and no doubt powerful force to be reckoned with. Her heart swelled with so many renewed happy emotions at the sight of her family that she thought she'd never again feel.
Keme nudged his older brother with his shoulder and gave a hearty laugh. "Aye, that he is!" He hadn't laughed so freely in a long while, even if some anger and accusation still boiled in his blood. Glancing at Kaya and Mahkah, Keme would never forget his sister's scars, nor the lion who had given them to her. For a moment his expression was grim, but as he turned back to Ahote, he smiled. "You can always stay at my place! Though, no crazy gals. I can't stand the ones who think being nice to them means you're in love," he grimaced in a playful manner and laughed again. "Mom, dad what would you like us to catch for your food?" He asked, serious and ready to bring sustenance to them.

Ohanzee gently drapes an arm around his mate's side, nuzzling and licking her cheek as they remain velcro'd together. "Anything you'd prefer...Whatever your mother wants. Thank you Keme.." He knew he wasn't really favored by any but those unaware of his attack, a part of him questioned if any but Annelise could feel love toward him again...he doubted it.
Jumping slightly feeling cold against her side she stops with her paw inches from her little brother's face, eyes wide having thought it was her father again. Pulling away quickly she gives the young muddy lion a nuzzle then rushes out of the cave. "I..I'll..get something for t..them!! You stay...!" Voice trembling she's out of sight in seconds.
Blinking at Kaya's quick departure he sighs figuring it's not his buissness to know. Instead he looks to Keme. "Oh I uh...heh...I might not...go witha lioness persay.." Clearing his throat he moves to fetch the muddy cub, easily scooping him up. "Hey there lil Mahkah. Don't worry about Kaya. She's a tough lioness, I'm sure she just...-really- wanted to hunt." Trying to make things happier he begins tickling the muddy pudgy tummy, grinning.
He'd seen the near swipe, lower lip quivering until he starts to cry still a younger lion and easily startled to tears. He wasn't mad at his sister, he'd just been scared. When he's scooped up he starts to settle, then goes into squirming giggle fits as Ahote tickles his fuzzy belly. "Ahh! Nooo!! Ahote n..no fair you meanie!!" Wriggling around he laughs, pawing at the purple wingless lion.

Anne looked to Keme, "Whatever you catch first would do wonderfully," she smiled. She was about to lay her head against Ohanzee's chest again when she heard Mahkah crying, and caught a glimpse of what was going on. She was saddened that her eldest daughter still carried her scars emotionally, and she knew it would take a long time for them to heal, physically and mentally. Anne would help her Kaya. She hadn't been there one hundred percent before, but now she would be and more. "My Kaya," she murmured seeing her daughter bolt.
Keme was surprised by Kaya leaving so quickly, but he understood. She needed her space after what had just happened with Mahkah, and he'd give her that space. "Do you... do you like males?" he asked Ahote curiously. Keme wasn't against any one type of sexuality, but it did interest him. He himself hadn't bothered too much to go looking for a mate, much less friends, so he didn't experience much in the way of mingling or attraction.
(OOC: I'm rping Lucius as a teen for the rp)
Lucius was out, headed on his way over to see his mom just past Keme's and Kaya's dens. He hadn't seen any of them in so long, so he figured he would stop and see them all, and that was when he caught sight of a brown blur bolting out of his older brother's den. "Kaya?" he asked unsure. His older sister must have been spooked, or Keme was being rude. Either way, he went at a run to go after her and make sure she was okay. He was young still and didn't have the speed his sister did, so trying to catch up was difficult for him ."Kaya!" he yelled and tripped over his own paws, sending him tumbling over; his rump ending up in the air and his face eating the ground.

Dark eyes wide he'd look over at the near hit delivered by his daughter. Out of reflex he'd sat up as abruptly as he was able, grunting softly. "Nngg..K..Kaya..? No..." Slumping back he burries his muzzle under one of his mate's wings for what little privacy he can get, shoulders shaking as he once again starts to cry. Softly he'd mutter to himself, curling up a bit realizing once again the amount of pain he'd caused. It wasn't normal per say for a big lion to cry but he didn't care anymore.
Rather than run past Kaya had looked around for the voice long enough to run with a loud THUNK into a tree trunk, a loud yowl escaping her maw. She really hadn't watched where she was going, now slipping over onto her side on the ground. "O..ow..." Eyes wet she'd look over to see her brother...faring no better than her. With a wince she gets up, a slight limp showing as she moves to nuzzle his cheek. "H...hello Lucius.." Much like her mother might she helps get her brother up, then begins grooming dirt from his face acting motherly.
Watching Mahkah a bit he finally sets him net to his now crying father, a tad uneasy. He wasn't used to seeing males cry, so this confused him a bit. Not that they weren't allowed, he just felt flustered and unsure of what to do. Patting his back he whips his head around to look at Keme wide-eyed, face darkening. "Uh...males..? That's...um.." Getting up he'd move so just his brother could hear his words. "..Yeah...I like males..I sorta like females too but...I kinda prefer males.." With that he sits back, looking away.
In the midst of everything the muddy cub snuggles up right next to his mother and father, missing them and now just so happy to be with them again. "No more leaving...Kaya's super nice but she's not momma and Keme's not daddy..."

"She'll be okay. It will take time, my mate," Anne whispered holding her mate close as he sobbed. She pulled her wing over him more, and purred to try and help soothe him. As Mahkah snuggled up to them, Anne smiled warmly and nuzzled his side. "We won't be leaving. Never again." She felt weak, but she refused to close her eyes and sleep for fear she wouldn't wake up.
Keme watched his parents and younger brother and couldn't help but to feel bad for his dad. After all that had happened, he was being true to his word so far, and in such a weakened state, Keme doubted he would lie. Looking to Ahote, he said quietly, "Well no worries in that, mate! Your secret is safe with me. Besides... I prefer those dragon gals. They're... soft and fluffy," he half joked to lighten the mood and chuckled. "Do you suppose it will be long before everyone in the family hears about our father's and mother's return?" he asked, now looking at his parents again.
Lucius heard the thunk before he sat up to see his big sister run into a tree. "That had to hurt sissy. Are you okay?" He asked worried and nuzzled her back with a smile. He had seen the limp in her step and wanted to protest against her moving at all as she began to clean the dirt from his face. "Sissy," Lucius said, "You have a bump on your head. Do you need help?" Help with what, he didn't know but he asked anyways because his sister was hurt.

Despite his tears the old swamp lion gave his young son a nuzzle, cuddling up so he felt he'd successfully hidden himself beneath his mate's wing. He was far from ashamed, but he also didn't wish to talk that much anymore, simply nodding. For now he'd rest easy knowing some of his family had started to accept him again. "Yes, your mother is right Mahkah. We'll be here for good.."
Kaya had indeed hurt herself, after all she'd rammed right into a big tree. Front left ankle swollen and a bruise forming along her muzzle she continues to baby her brother until satisfied he's cleaned of dirt. "I...thought I was ok...but...I'm not, Lucius. I..." Sitting back she struggles to fight more tears, ears lowered. "Your big sister is...hurting."
A surprised look crosses his maw as his brother accepts him despite the admission, a grin forming at the confession. "Honestly a nice fluffy male dragon...Ahem..I see no issue with you liking them fluffy gals, don't worry dude. Secret's safe." Getting up he looks at their parents then runs out abruptly, a roar heard followed by a sound of a struggle. Not far from the cave entrance a buck had wandered too close...Now it'd be dinner for them. "Oi Keme! I got it limping but I'm having issues!!" Indeed the buck was bigger than the purple lion, and without wings it was countering his attacks after recieving a deep gash along a hind leg keeping it from bolting.
Mahkah had since nodded off into a deep slumber, soothed by being coddled again by his parents. Snoring softly he rolls to his back, baring a plump little tummy.

Annelise nuzzled her mate and stretched her wing out to lay part of it atop Mahkah too. She smiled and softly laughed at her young son, rubbing his stomach with her paw. "They'll come around. I saw something in Kaya earlier... I think her anger was forgotten for a moment. They're unsure right, my love," she closed her eyes and snuggled close to Ohanzee, licking his cheek.
Keme smiled at his brother and bumped his shoulder against Ahote's. "Thank you, bro," he followed Ahote's gaze. For a moment he could it again; a big, happy family and Keme wanted to give his father the benefit of the doubt, but until he could begin to trust him again, Keme would always be ready to defend his siblings. Though, seeing their mother happy again softened Keme up a little bit. "I'm coming!" He answered Ahote and ran out. He used his wings to leap onto the buck's back, and dug his claws in. Using his wings to keep balance, Keme bit down on the buck's neck trying to take a chunk out of it.
Lucius watched his sister with sad eyes, and a small spark of understanding shone in them. He had been told about his sister's scars and how it had hurt her deeply. Mama had told him that those scars had left Kaya's heart scarred too. "Sissy!" he just about cried and snuggled up against her, "I'm sorry. I love you!" Lucius said trying to help her feel better.

Ohanzee returned the nuzzle tenderly, smiling with pride at their youngest then to the other boys in the cave. "...Even if...they don't want to be near me right now...Just looking at them fills me with such pride. I hope they know that..." Laying back he rests with his love as they await food to survive.
At first the brown lioness seemed confused, holding her brother close as he speaks to her. "I love you too...You have no need to be sorry." A defense mechanism had kicked in, a sort of numbing over her emotions and pain her expression semi monotone save for a light smile. "Come on, let's head back..." Licking his head she gets up, trying to usher him toward the cave. "I'm certain mother wants to see you. Mahkah is there as well as...father."
Ahote took the chance as Keme leaps to the buck's back to sink his fangs into its throat, leg favored to his chest. With a growl all fight the wingless lion has inside is unleashed as his brother tears a chunk off their prey. Maw chomping down he yanks back while clawing at the beasts neck and rips its throat out in a savage display. "Nngg!!" With both large male's going at and tearing the neck the buck falls, a true feast to fill all of their ******** use of those wings!"

Anne could smell the scent of blood outside and her belly rumbled. "Food is coming," she whispered happily opening her eyes. "They know that, my love. While they were growing up, I told them every day how proud their father is of them. Even the oldest of the bunch; they might have shrugged it off before, but now you get the chance to show them."
Keme held tight and kept his jaw chomping down at the buck, trying to get a good hold. When it finally went down, he cheered with his bother. "Bro, you have some fine chompers there! This buck had no idea what was coming to him. Great job!" He looked to Ahote and grinned, "This one will definitely fill them up, and us!" Keme grabbed onto a leg with his jaws and helped to carry it back to his den.
Lucius nuzzled his sister's leg and nodded. "Okay, okay. I miss mama and... did you say dad? I have never met him before... do you think he missed us?" He asked with a neutral tone, though the story his mom had told him about Kaya's scars had him doubting his dad. "Well, I will protect you big sis!"

Ohanzee only smiled more as the scent of food reached him as well. He'd be sure the rest of the family got their full before having any himself at least for this meal. It was time to start proving himself to his children, that the monster he once was would stay gone for good. "I will my love...no time will be wasted in this..."
Looking at her little brother Kaya gives a little nod, forcing her voice steady. "Yes...We should hurry though. Mother and father are both on the cusp of passing. I can't hunt with my paw like this...Let's get to Keme's cave." Licking the little growth of a mane atop his head she smiles lovingly. "You've gotten bigger, I'm proud of you, Lucius." With that she heads back, limping slightly.
Despite his leg hurting Ahote lets out a celabratory roar, aiding his brother in hauling it back to the cave for everybody to feast. His heart was still full from the warm talking from Anne...from his mother, now he could show off their group kill and maybe just maybe make their parents proud. Perhaps he should tell them before he was fully taken in...

Anne licked Ohanzee's cheek and smiled. "First we need our strength back," she whispered ready to sleep. She knew she couldn't, and smelling the fresh kill had her wanting to live. To live for her mate and her children, and grandchildren.
Keme helped Ahote bring the kill in. "You need that bandaged up? I can help you, mate! I have a good herbal mix you can rub on the wound, and we can wrap it up with some good old fronds," he said walking to the back of his den. A little hole was set in the wall that housed his herbal remedies.
Lucius smiled up at his big sister and nodded, "I'll follow the leader!" he exclaimed walking beside her. He saw her limp and stayed close in case she needed to rest, she could lean against him. "One day I'll be big and strong like you, sissy!"
