Bneut stretched, walking along. He'd been wandering for quite some time, his eyes were so tired of looking for anything that might be making a sound. Really, he didn't care so much. The silence was welcome for a change. His youngest son had finally decided to stay in one place and stay there, which meant this purple and pink demon had far too much time on his hands that wasn't dedicated to plants.

Maybe that was how he'd ended up on the beach. Days of walking with no real goal in mind. Or it might just have been that he wanted a place to go that had pae that weren't trying to abduct him into a maze. That would be nice. The memory of that still haunted him. With a shudder, Bneut tried to shake his mind of those thoughts. There was an interesting structure ahead of him. Seemed like a place to visit. Certainly there were other pae about it, which only increased his curiosity.

It appeared to be... A place to get drinks? Bneut squinted, looking at it. He had to make sure it wasn't a mirage or some other hallucination. No, it was real. The deaf male shrugged and decided to walk on in. What could possibly go wrong?

User ImageBusiness was slow in the bar that Diona had created in order to build a life for herself and her daughter. Yes, Diona had turned a new leaf and wanted to give her daughter the best life possible. Of course, she did it by opening a bar, but I never said she was the mother of the year.

It had felt good to do this though. She no longer was leeching off of her cousin, Aulii. She had the ability to trade for more lavish things now. And Diona just loved bartending, she had a natural gift for it, and it gave her the opportunity to meet a variety of pae.

The bar was really more of a shack, but it had been the best Diona could do, she was a bartender, not a builder. Most customers were regulars, since word hadn't really spread too far on the island yet, so it surprised the faerie when she saw a new face today.

"Hey handsome," she could never completely give up on her flirtatious ways. "What will you be having today?" Diona pulled out a short drink menu. The list was all rum based drinks mixed with various tropical fruits.

Bneut grinned, whatever this place was. It was friendly. He liked it. And that fae at the bar, Guardians help him he couldn't take his eyes off her.

"Could you say that again?" He asked, his words not quite the perfect of regularly spoken speech. "I couldn't see what you said." The demon had gotten the gist of it though, she'd placed something on the counter in front of him, which was likely meant for him to look at and read.

Bneut did manage to glance down at the list before he looked back up. A couple of the things listed were new words to him. He was certain to pronounce them wrong. "A Bahama Mama?" The demon asked, murdering the way the drink was supposed to sound.

Diona couldn't hide the strange look on her face when the male spoke, but she wasn't about to be rude to a potential customer either. "Would you like something?" She repeated, slower, but not unkindly. Although she didn't quite realize the male couldn't hear the tone of her voice either. That would greatly disappoint her if she knew, half of her sultry nature was in the tone of her voice.

"Good choice for a first drink!" Diona exclaimed, "It's the house specialty." Yes, the bahama mama was a drink truly inspired by Diona... or perhaps it was the other way around. He hadn't exactly ordered the drink, but Diona began whipping it up anyways, filling a coconut with a variety of juices, and when it was almost full adding her own special touch of rum. She'd go easy on him since it was potentially his first drink. The coconut was shaken, and then poured into a half-coconut cup. "On the house." she said with a playful wink as she pushed the cup towards him.

Bneut was almost overwhelmed when she started making whatever it was he'd just ordered. But, having learned to roll with the punches, he just grinned and watched as she fixed whatever this was. The demon was fully mesmerized by her, lost entirely in what her body was saying versus what she was actually saying that he was shocked when she set the half coconut in front of him.

"It looks delicious~" He smiled, figuring he'd try to keep it as not obvious as possible that he was oogling her. "Thank you Ma'am" The demon would have made a polite gesture, if not for wanting to keep his eyes on her. He did, however, manage to lift the coconut and bow his head before redbrown eyes returned their gaze to the lovely female that had been so kind as to make him a drink. It only took him a moment or two to realize he needed to drink it. It would be rude to just hold it when she'd given it to him in this coconut.

Bneut took a hesitant sip, letting the liquid linger before swallowing it. It was good. Just a nice little burn on the way down he'd never experienced before, and a lot of sweet. Overall, he quite liked the taste of it. "Yummy~"

The stares... well Diona was very used to them, so of course she noticed them. She hadn't even turned her back to him yet either, so he hadn't caught a glimpse of what usually got people love drunk. Diona was aware of the effect she had on pae, and usually took advantage of it. She was still trying to turn over a new leaf though, and was trying to avoid mixing business with pleasure. Yes, that seemed like a good idea to her.

The fae gave him a courteous smile, watching him closely to see if he was a first time drinker or not. You could usually tell from a look they'd get on their face if they hadn't acquired the taste yet. It looked like he was, Diona was pleased she hadn't gone overboard with the Rum then. It probably wouldn't take much to get the male sloshed. "I'm glad you like." Diona said slowly, and perhaps a bit loudly considering that he couldn't hear her.

She paused to busy herself putting away things and cleaning up a little bit. "How's life?" She asked as she did so, conversing in a typical bartender fashion.

It was probably an amazing thing that she hadn't turned around yet, that was Bneut's favorite part of a woman to oogle. That was one of the many reasons he'd fallen for Esmee so long ago. And Nyx when his youngest children were born. Of course he realized this had something to do with Venus Day or something like it. The demon smiled, tilting his head a bit. The drink was nice, but he didn't quite catch what she'd said to him after that.

"How's what?" He asked, squinting a little. Maybe he was going blind after raising Walter... How was that even possible? With a mental chuckle, Bneut kept smiling, attempting to think of any possible answer to whatever it was she'd asked him. "I'm sorry, I can't hear you." He offered, realizing that she probably was going to think him crazy for asking to repeat herself so many times.

Diona couldn't help but let go of a small sigh. She was trying, she was really trying, but she was not used to putting so much effort into something. Especially a conversation. Diona gave the male a hesitant smile, not really wanting to put in the effort to make a second attempt at conversation. It was all just small talk anyways.

Unfortunately, not trying again made it seem like she was ignoring him which was bound to be even more awkward. Diona didn't do awkward, she had the grace of a swan... though definitely not the purity of one. "Here, try this one." She said it facing him so that he could read her lips, but she could really care less if he ended up understanding or not. Diona didn't need words. She mixed up another drink, filling it with a bit more rum then the last one, really the drink was more for her, but she was going to give it to him. She had to turn around to get the blend of juices on the other counter before shaking the coconut and pouring him a new cup and setting it in front of him. There, she wasn't ignoring him and she was avoiding any awkwardness.

He almost instantly felt bad. He hadn't explained what was wrong clearly enough and he'd managed to annoy her. The demon wouldn't have minded if she'd completely ignored him, it would have been familiar territory for him. Though, Bneut did catch her next words.

He managed to get completely confused. There was still a very yummy drink sitting in front of him that was mostly untouched. Why would he need another one right away? Bneut tilted his head in the other direction, looking at her until she turned around. And then she turned around. That was it, he was in love. Bneut couldn't help but run his eyes over her, she was a gorgeous fae, and that rump. Oh Guardians that backside.

"Mai Gordians!" He exclaimed, only to blink. Those words didn't feel like they came out right.

Diona looked confused for a moment, the pae had such a strange accent when he spoke just now. Oh yes, it was his first drink. "I know, my drinks are simply amazing..." She responded thinking he was reacting to the drink. Diona then rubbed her temple with her hand, suddenly realizing what she had done. The fae knew the effect she tended to have on pae, and while normally she soaked up the attention, she was running her bar right now, and she wasn't going to mix business with pleasure. Nope, she wasn't going to do it. This pae was drunk now though, and it wasn't from that bahama mama.

The second drink she had sent in front of the male was looking very tempting to her right now, he probably wasn't going to need it now either. She paused trying to decide if it was right to drink one of your own drinks while making drinks. "Maybe some water instead..." she said, pulling the second drink back and finding some water for the demon instead.
