 Everything was happening so fast. Twilight could barely keep up with what little she could do to help the faun in need. Somehow, she couldn't help but think she needed a friend through all of it. This bothered her a lot, she had wonderful friends that she had completely ignored for Celestia only knew how long. And now they were off doing their own things, she couldn't bring herself to pester them for more than an invitation to a slumber party. And of course there were other fauns she was worried about. Particularly a very sweet faun who had gifted her something wonderfully special.
No no no, she didn't have time to think about that. "Where am I any good right now?" Twilight couldn't help herself. In Equestria she was so good at everything, and here it felt like she was next to useless. No, that wasn't right either. She was still good at those things, but she wasn't trying anymore. The purple fauny shook her head, walking herself to an area that was relatively free of other faun. Twilight needed a friend desperately, but where was she going to find one?

 Everything had been in chaos since the tree was attacked. There was a flurry of activity and it seemed like everyone else had something to do. The only good thing too have happened since the attack was that Melanthios had emerged from the pupa he had been in. The teen had emerged with butterfly like wings and his many legs had been replaced with a pair that was closer to the fauns than an insect. The changed had shocked Eachann and while he wanted to, he couldn't hover over his son all the time. He had taken to wandering the tree trying find something to do instead.
He sighed softly running his fingers though his hair. What was he supposed to do, surely there was something he could help with but at the moment his mind was blank.
"I think that is what we are all asking." He responded with a tired sigh to whomever had spoken. His response to the voice was automatic and it took him a moment to realize he had responded to what might have been someone talking to themselves. He turned to look at the purple fauny he had spoken too, unsure of what to do next.

Twilight jumped, really quite unaware that there was another faun anywhere near her. "I'm sure there are plenty of faun who know exactly where they're good at helping..." Twi frowned, running a hand through her hair. She really did feel next to useless and she was supposed to be good at this kind of thing!
"Hi... I'm Twilight Sparkle, It's nice to meet you." The purple fauny smiled as if he had been a friend for ages rather than some strange faun that she accidentally blurted out a terrible thought in front of. And really, couldn't every faun use a friend in a time like this?

Eachann nodded, she was right, with all the working going on it seemed as if most faun knew where they would help the most. It made him feel a bit useless that he didn't know what to help with. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you."
"I'm Eachann, It is nice to meet you Twilight Sparkle." Her friendly smile helped to dispel the small frown that he had had. Friends where good things, and he could certainly use a few more. The faun's tail swished a bit as his mind wandered off trying to think of something he could help with.

"No, no. It's alright." She smiled, "I've got a friend who scares people a lot more than you just did." Twilight couldn't help but think of Pinkie. That girl definitely knew how to scare a fauny right out of her fur!
"What are you doing all the way out here?" The fauny asked, looking up to Eachann. She hadn't expected to find another faun around here, which was kinda why she'd come out. Of course, having an unexpected new friend show up was a bonus. Perhaps it was just what they both needed at that moment. Even in a time of great turmoil friends would be there.
