How To Get Your Thread Noticed


Well, since there seems to be alot of threads here, and alot are either just begging or being insulted, i decided to give a little help. Here are a few tips on getting a noticable thread and have more of a chance at getting a donation.




1. DON'T USE ALL CAPS or EvErY oThEr LeTtEr. It's annoying and makeing you look like a 'noob'.
2. Don't use vaulgur statements. Just no.
3. Ask Politely. You shouldn't have to be told this, but theres quite a few posts that don't even have the word 'please'.
4. Don't assume everyone who enters your thread has gold and stuff to donate to you. Alot of people posting in here already have their own quests.
5. Don't harass people who post in your thread who don't donate.
6. Bump your thread when it gets lower on the page, you don't always have to be at the top of the sub-forum, but still, keep the thread active.
7. ORGANIZE THE THREAD. Don't just have one post that basically just says "Donate to me, I'm poor!", not much of a chance at getting a donation there.
8. Have a Poll. I don't know how many times in this guild it's been stated YOU NEED A POLL. Everytime I go in this sub-forum theres always alot of topics without polls.
9. Try not to quest for something like an OMG when you've only been on gaia for a month and hardly have any items. It's most likely that you wont get the item and will end up giving up on your quest.
10. Quest for something reasonable.
11. Try to come up with a more creative title then just "Please Help Me!"
12. You don't NEED the item/gold, you WANT it. You can still live even if you never get the item you quest for on Gaia, it's not a life or death situation.
13. Try typing out the full word, not just "u" or "cuz". It's really annoying.
14. Don't advertise your quest in everyone else's threads. It's very annoying and not wanted. It'll most likely just end up with you getting less of a chance at getting a donation.
