 It have been few weeks since she fled from the place where nobody cared for her at all and she didn't get any simulations except from other older cat but eventually, the older cat didn't want to do anything with her. Few days before Saffron made her desperate escape, she discovered the stiff body of her housemate and it traumatized her when she realized that he is dead after she tried to play with him. For the few days, she spent her days in suspended disbelief and wandered around dazedly, not sure what is happening and she's terrified of going back into the cat room where she discovered the body so she was forced to use the corner of rooms to do her toilet business. Whenever the human found her attempting to cover up the spot, she had to scramble away from the human's swift foot approaching toward her body but sometimes she wasn't so lucky and would get kicked or hit.
One day, the human left the door wide open and Saffron didn't think twice while she became a sandy blur when she darted out of the door, fleeing for her life and ever since that day, she have been on the run, or darting to hide somewhere whenever she hear sounds that reminds her of her human that 'kidnapped' her. With every passing day, she learns every survival skills that is necessary like how to fish or steal from fishermen (or cute it up so fisherman would give her some fishes). Saffron learned quickly that she could make it a game out of everything she encounters and that helped her regain her confidence and her frisky personality.
Today is not an exception as Saffron walks up and down the docks, waiting for the fishing boats to pull in so she could play up on her cuteness so she could grab some meal because she haven't ate anything all day yesterday and her eyes glances up at the skies, noting that its cloudy. Scrunching her nose up with a sigh as she shakes her head, knowing that the rain will fall again so she will have to look around for another shelter since a stray cat chased her out of a cardboard box earlier during the day.

 Sunbae had been wandering, disinterested in most things around him. Though his eyesight was s**t, he had no problems navigating around boots and heels of the humans around. Anytime one tried to get too close, he would swipe and wander off, not running, showing that he had little fear of the beasts that once took him and caused this disability. Now with his collar off, he rubbed at his neck every now and again, the dug-in wound beginning to heal slowly but surely. He still carried himself with confidence despite it all, and now, he was hungry, making his way to the docks himself for a snack before the rain began. Clicking his tongue, his tail flicked against the backs of his thighs, his own boots echoing off of the wooden docks. His ears swiveled and he cocked his head at a stranger he heard and smelled, vaguely able to see her. Heh, another cat, huh? One he didn't recognize, at that. "Yo," he chimed, giving a half-hearted salute.

As the fishing boat floats into its assigned dock, Saffron sits up on her hunches and paws at the air with a meow toward the fisherman, giving the fisherman a pleading look which scored her a fish that would definitely fill her up. Meowing a thanks to a kind fisherman, Saffron carries the fish off happily with her tail swaying back and forth and she pauses when a teenage male is in her path.
Her tail immediately lowers to the ground as she crouches close to the planks with the fish firmly lodged between her teeth while she eyes the teenager warily. Since she have the fish in her mouth, she's not capable of speaking so she just simply used her tail to wave in greetings because right now she doesn't really trust this male. But after little while, she decided to drop the trout and looks up at him while positioning herself carefully over the trout so if the guy want to steal it, he will be in for a hell of a fight with her. "What's the deal with your eyes? blind or something?" She bluntly asks as she eyes the teenager warily.

Looking down at the hunched over cat, he cocked a brow at her posture, snorting a bit despite himself. "Yah dont worry, I dont steal s**t from kits," he taunted, grinning slightly despite himself. He could see her a bit clearer now, though still rather shadowed. Cocking his head a little when she spoke finally, he laughed at her blunt question, his pearl-like eyes showing his amusement.
"Yes, mostly," he clicked his tongue, ears perking forward and swiveling to listen to not only her but everything around them, "Used to be blind as a damn bat, but it's gotten better. Why do you as, eh? I'd scold you for your manners, but I guess it's better than just staring."

"Kits? I am no kit. I am a cat. Damn... you really can't see that much, don't you?" Saffron couldn't help but to raise to the bait as she continues to crouch close over her precious fish with her ears pinned back against her skull. For some reason, the male's pearl-like eyes unnerved her but at same time fascinated her but this guy seems to toss out this aloof attitude and it annoys her. Her claws digs into the fish as she starts to relax little bit when she could see that the male isn't interested in her fish.... yet and she blinks, cocking her head to side.
"Uh huh.. so you are telling me that your eyesight improved after being blind as a bat? What happened to you anyway?" Saffron ignores his question aimed toward her while her pale green eyes glares up at the male. "I don't believe in sugarcoating things. If you don't like it, then deal with it, buddy boy." She says with a shrug while her claws starts scrapping the scales off the fish body so she could chow down whenever she gets a chance instead of having to do all of that cleaning before she could eat.

He couldn't help but laugh at her responses. So protective. "M'not going to steal your catch, kiddo. Promise," he could hear the claws pop through the scales, the ruffle of her fur as her ears moved--though his eyesight had improved, his other senses still held strong.
"Yah, yah. I've always been able to see some figures and shadows, bats aren't 100% blind you know. I got needles in the eyes," he leaned down a bit towards her, letting her see his eyes a bit more clearly, though he had to slip the bandana off from his opposite, more 'injured' eye than the other. This one was paler, it seemed like it was obvious which one did him more good than harm. "Humans. Scum, I tell you," he smirked down at her, "Buddy boy? Call me Bae, sweetpea. And you should keep those scales, that's a pretty fish from what I can see. Some cats would pay a pretty fee for some of those scales."

Saffron slowly relaxes as she didn't sense any of the tension from this guy and her fur starts to settle back against her body but she continues to stand protectively over her catch. "Needles in the eyes?..." She looks puzzled as she leans back when he leaned down, not expecting what he would do but when she could see his eyes more clearly, her eyes widens in shock. "Oh....the humans did this to you?" She says with a frown, not able to imagine any cruelty at that level being done to any of the cats. "What happened exactly?" She peers at him curiously with her head cocked.
"Bae? I am not your sweetpea." She bristles little bit with a half-hearted glare because now she's not sure how to react around him after finding out that the humans caused him to go blind. "Scales?... why? they are worthless!" She picks a handful and holds it out, looking at them curiously. The interest in this guy have piqued but Saffron isn't going to admit to it as she glares at the scales then at Bae before she resumes scrapping the scales off but now she's being particularly careful about not breaking any of scales because she want to make extra money and this might be the answer to her problems.
