Edith bundled herself up nice and snug before making her deliveries since her brother had told her of the coming snow. And boy, was she glad she did! She had tried to take flight twice now, with little to no success. The young flyer could pick herself off the ground, but the strong gusts would keep her grounded every time.
So Edith had taken up a new way of working; a bike. In truth it was Riffs, and her legs were barely just long enough to reach the pedals, but it helped her get from point A to point B. It would have been just fine had Edith known anything about going slow on pathways during the winter. Her tires hit an iced over puddle, and with a silent scream she hit the ground with her bike. Her satchel, however, flew across the way into the surrounding woods.
She picked herself up with a huff. Bikes were stupid! Her knees and hands were scraped up now because of the goofy thing. Leaving it behind, she wandered through the trees in search of her satchel and came upon a frozen lake...with her satchel a good distance away from her, sitting prim on the ice.

Niall was delighted with the weather, playing on the firm ice that had been the lake. He would have preferred to be able to swim in it, but it was beautiful as it was. This was only the third time he'd wandered from his home on the beach, and he was rather excited to bring his sister out on his next adventure.
It was then that he seemed to notice a girl on a bike. He stared, watching as she fell. He winced in empathy, immediately moving towards her. "Are you alright?" he asked, concerned. He didn't have any bandaids on him, he thought, as he checked his pocket. He studied her for a long moment, before saying, "Maybe you should walk the rest of the way to where ever you're going. You're hurt."

Looking at the boy made Edith wonder as to where he had come, but then she remembered the road she had been taking. Her tumble and the subsequent loss of her bag had taken up all thought space in her mind. The lapse in notice made her flush. He saw me fall! As if today couldn't get any worse...
Edith nodded to the first question, then shook her head at the second. She brushed her hand over her knees. It did hurt, but no more than a sting. What she did want though, she pointed at; Edith pointed to show the boy her delivery bag, sitting prim on the ice too far out of her grasp. If the wind wasn't so bad she would get it herself, but....

When Edith pointed to her bag, Niall nodded. "I'll get it," he promised. He was still concerned that the girl was hurt, or that she should at least walk the rest of the way to where ever she was going. It was slippery out, and it was likely she would have another accident if she wasn't careful. He stepped out onto the ice, making sure it was sturdy enough for his weight. He loved winter, being an ice pokemon. "I'll get it," he repeated.
He slowly made his way over the ice, being careful to test it in case of cracks. He didn't want to explain to his parents if he got caught under the ice. "You don't talk much, huh?" .
