Welcome to Nokori, a sacred valley for the people of Zakernand where they respect the late dead, and sometimes even the newly born or reincarnated. All the buildings here are communal and public, incense and candles are often lit within them for rest and gatherings. Sometimes festivals are held on the rare occasion. The land here is somewhat marshy in the wetter seasons.
There is a story that when the dead are given the luck of having their ashes thrown into the river, the ancient dragon spirit known as Mizuchi accepts that are can be seen in the reflection of the river. He is but the river spirit, the transport tot he afterlife some say. But of coarse, this is all a legend, is it not?
this are holy grounds, be sure not to desecrate it.

Nokori Valley wasn't devoid of life, far from it, it's river birthed reincarnated souls that were granted a second chance. Near the outskirts, the river shimmed ready developing a new human to arise from its waters. Under the surface, a girl lay with long snow white hair and lovely white skin. Slowly, she drifted upwards until her naked body was exposed to the moist air. Opening her brilliant red eyes, she gasped for air for the first time and positioned herself upright. Oddly enough, the deep water was just an illusion because she sat on a shallow river bank. Placing a delicate hand on her newly beating chest, she observed the barren surroundings trying to locate any signs of life. Although the girl was born in the body of a seventeen year old, she had the mind set of a toddler. She produced whining sounds and wobbled about as she tried to twist around. First she had to crawl before it was time to walk, however she got the gist of rather quickly.
Forcing herself up onto the marshy soil, she wondered around in the blanket of thick fog. Eventually, she lost her foot and fell into the dry grass which caused her cry out for held. That's all she knew how to do for now anyway until someone comes along to show her the way.

I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm. And the scars that mark my body, they’re silver and gold, My blood is a flood of emeralds, precious stones, It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me. I move through town, I’m quiet like a fight, And my necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie.
It had been some time since the war against Lucifial had finally come to a shining end. Cardy could remember the bodies of the fallen being joined by the mindless dead that flopped to the floor after the demon's power over their world was destroyed. All that were left was the cultists that didn't go back into hiding after his defeat. But Cardy didn't bother with them unless they got in her way. As soon as the battle was over her and Terrance helped out the nearby towns to clean up, the Temple of Dreams was working over time to help the people of it's country get back to normal. And Nokori was only just beginning to calm once again after all the Rites had been done by the locals... or even those that came from the other side of Zakernand to say goodbye to their loved ones. Everything was sacrificed that dreadful day. Some even whisper that angels descended from the Heavens for the first time since legends to help the cause. But Cardy spat that thought away, Angels... that was something she'd love to see to believe it. Demons on the other hand, they're all too real... she knew.
She was passing through Nokori Valley after living in Jingshen for some time, getting to know the locals, learn their ways, learn how to gain their trust. And now she heard the wail of a girl from within the fog. How peculiar she thought, turning towards the direction of the noise. She went in further to explore and find the source. If she wasn't being so careful, she would have tripped over the girl. Cardy looked down and with a bewildered look examined her, this girl was naked... and looked familiar yet she could not put her finger on it. "Hello?" she asked, then realising that this girl was... confused... lost more-so. This girl needed help. And Cardy couldn't turn down the chance to give a young girl aide! "Here" she held out a hand to lift the girl up, "Now, before you go anywhere you need some clothes." Cardy commented. Putting a finger to her lips she thought for a moment, and then pulled a "not bad" expression as she had an idea. "Twirl for me" she asked with a smile, then gesturing to the girl to spin slowly on the spot if she did not understand words yet. If Cardy hadn't dealt with this sort of thing before none of this would go so smoothly. She then held out her ringed finger to the girl as she twirled, and from her finger came a green aura that spiralled to the grass below, and then from the grass came a vibrant magic that spun around the lost girl's body, materialising sky-blue clothes with a white bow and apron. "Much better... My name is Cardy, do you have a name?"
This is the start of how it all ends They used to shout my name, now they whisper it I’m speeding up and this is the red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart

The albino heard a calm inviting voice call to her and she looked up at a female around her age through teary eyes. She wore a crimson dress and carried guns, but the girl had no idea what weapons were. Her motherly persistence ceased the girl's attention and she accepted her helpful hand. She was lifted from the ground and stared at the female happily while whipping her tears away. Cardy thought of an attire for a moment and then gestured her to twirl around. The girl followed her finger and spun around when suddenly the grass beneath her became a lush green. The soft green aura wrapped around her thin body materializing clothes that matched her innocence. Her attire consisted of a beautiful sky blue dress with an apron over it and a pink ribbon to complement her hair. Cardy was like her fairy godmother using her magic to make her a dress for the ball. The girl listened her guardian's name and repeated it like a baby trying to pronounce their first word. "C-Car-Cardy." she smiled as she flung herself onto the girl giving her a huge hug. She shook her head as he last question and pointed to the river. That's where she came up from so obviously she wanted some answers and lessons on how to act.

This girl was certainly an odd ball amongst strange things, she hadn't a clue where she was or who she was! Cardy was astonished and following the pointing from the girl, she exclaimed "oh you poor girl" whilst putting an arm around her shoulders. "You don't know who you are do you? Well, this is most intriguing." Luckily, after having spent some time in Jingshen following the events of the Darkness, she learned a lot about the importance of Nokori and what it was rumoured to be capable of, directly or indirectly. "You've been reborn" Cardy stated firmly, "There must have been a lot of love surrounding you, you've been given another chance at life. You must have an unfinished purpose." Cardy then slowly walked in front of her and looked her dead in the eyes, "How about you tag along with me?" she said with a smile, tilting her head. "I could use some company, in fact I was on my way east to get a ride to Neutral City. I could..." she wobbled her shoulders as though she was weighing up the choices, "... teach you who you are?"

Cardy had pity on her and held her closely as the two stared at the mesmerizing river. She indicated that the girl had no idea whom she was and she would be correct because she didn't even have a name. The red hooded teenager informed that she was reborn due to the love and compassion from others among some unfinished business. She tilted her head letting her white hair flop to the side of her shoulder. What does all that mean, exactly? When she arose from the water, she had no memories of people loving her beforehand and had no idea what love was. Her thoughts were interrupted when Cardy suggested that she travel with her to Neutral City and discover who she is or was. The child didn't have much of a choice because it was apparent that she couldn't fend for herself yet. She just nodded not sure of what antics they were about to get into. Like a toddler, she told a strong hold of Cardy's hand waiting for her to lead the way. Only she knew the path out of the thick fog and back to civilization.
