Following the founding of the coven in [perhaps in 1180], the vampires established estates in France, recruiting dozens as a formidable force as they traveled south to Navarre and then Spain. Fernande became the first of the vampire lords before moving on to expand their territories to Germany and northward, later sweeping eastward towards Hungary from the 1200s to the 1300s. With a foothold in Asia, the vampires proceeded through Turkey--which would later be the site of the Asian coven's base of operations--and traveled through the Middle East from the 1300s to the 1400s, eventually reaching the far east in China and eventually Japan where ladyship was granted to [character's name]. The 1500s-1600s was the era in which the vampires finally extended to South America, the cold south of Santa Cruz before making their way north, where [character's name] was granted ladyshi[. Well-established in South America, North America later became the king's permanent residence in New York. Africa's terrain proved to be the most challenging, though the Scramble for Africa in the late 1800s and early 1900s allowed for them to expand into Africa, the coven in Asia sweeping southward with the European coven--notably the British at first--traveled northward. Some time during the expansion into Africa, the last lord, [character's name] was selected.
