Episode 3: Wendy Doesn't Measure Up

I got to see the premiere for the series, finally! biggrin Sadly, it was pretty disappointing. Dani was there only to spice up the first hour of the premiere and in the second, I honestly hoped that Gina would go.

Oh man, I'm so rough on Gina. I feel like the producers are keeping her in there because she's the first Asian-American (and I refer to the Pacific/Oriental ethniticies when I say Asian) on the show! There was an Indian-American (like East Indian or Bangladeshi sort of Indian) on an earlier cycle, but no one with the "chopstick" eyes, you know? So while I want to go, "YEAH YELLO REPRESENTIN'!!!" Gina isn't measuring up. Unless she suddenly comes to a strong and sudden realization to the nature of fashion, she's going to be cut after being nothing more than a colourful filler, if you know what I mean.

And Jade! WOW! People are aliking her to Lisa from Cycle 5 because of their unlikeableness, but Lisa eventually won people over whereas Jade seems to be doing little other than pissing people off. Lisa was crazy, Jade was a crazyBIIIIIITCH! I thought she had a "woman of the earth" vibe going on, but ********, she's not done a thing to help herself endear herself to the audience. If you can't gush up to the people in the industry, you're not gonna go very far.

Hahahaaa~ oh yeah, but I thought it particularly hilarious when Jade was all "WTF is up with your tiara Furonda? You look like a bloody diva!" HAHAHAHAHA! Oh gosh, that statement came from the lady wearing a shawl over her head? Right-o, babushka freako! biggrin biggrin biggrin

Poor Wendy! I'm very mesmerized by her face! Her eyes seem to be placed extra far away from each other and her nose is absolutely amaaaazing~~ heart I was really sad to see her go... her sadness seemed to translate more into melancholy when I forgot that she had that Katrina business brewing in her head, and I thought it gravitating.

Nenna... she is the queen. She is the complete front-runner right now. It's either between her and Mollie Sue for me right now. whee I love the way Nenna talks... it's deliberate and soft at the same time... it's the Nigerian thing she's workin, I'm telling you. So gorgeous. heart Her ways make me think of Naima... they both seem to have this quiet streak of strength in them that burns them on. AHH NENNA IS SO COOL!! domokun domokun domokun OH I love how she's sheared her hair. It's so gorgeous, so very gorgeous. heart

Mollie Sue is definitely my second favourite! We don't know much about her right now but I certainly do like that vibe she carries. Something very European. I hope we get to see more of her and to learn more of her. I'd love to see her do adrogynous looks... she's like a more effeminate version of Kim from Cycle 5!! xd

I love Sara's new hairstyle!! I'm kind of sad that she doesn't know what to do with it, but I'm totally mad over that faux mohawk of hers... I'm trying to achieve that do with one of my Blythe girls. It's hard. crying

Kari is insanely SEXY!! xd I love her new hair! Although it looks perfectly awful in the ice zine-cover shoot, I was totally swooning at the volume and body it had.

Furonda is a curious girl. I want to hate her yet like her at the same time. Her attitude and behaviour makes me go "what?!" sometimes, but sometimes, she's just so straight about certain things, I can't say "damn you crazy, lady!!" to her ways. But I hope she'll take better photos soon, her last two photoshoots felt really weak to me. Weak enough for me to question whether it was Wendy who deserved to go or someone else.

Getting to see Naima was a really wonderful surprise!! She's my favourite Top Model winner and I really wish I could have seen Cycle 4 while it was on the air, I really liked her and Kahlen. Oh man, KAHLEN! When I first saw her in the first episode of Cycle 4 (bless you, YouTube!! heart ), I was floored when she did her walk. And this was a small town farm girl?! nosway. no.freaking.SWAY! (@ A @);

...anyways, I wonder what Kahlen is up to these days? whee

AHH okok. I cannot wait for the next episode, rumour has it that Lisa might show up!! YAAAAAAY! Cycle 5 peeps, WHUZZUP?!! xd

Episode 4: One Too Many Stumbles, Kari Heads Home

BAH!!!!!

I cannot believe that Gina did not go home. O M G. (= A =);;;

Horrible photos, zero presence, no grace, and complete obliviousness to her body and its capacity to SHINE. I don't see anything even remotely model-ly coming from her...

Oh man, that challenge at the judging FREAKED ME OUT THOUGH. At first, I was all "MAAAN I wanna try walking in those! biggrin biggrin " but after watching the spillage, I was all "uhhhh I think I'll keep my love affair with shoes strictly converse related. (=w=); "

Despite her minimal limelight presence, Jade still managed to piss me off with her "OMG WE R VIPs !" shat from the winnings from the challenge. And her faux mad sckientist look was also pretty stupid... huhuhuhhhh. I'm glad we didn't have to watch her a whole lot this week.

But Nnenna, the prize in me eyes! She didn't shine this week, unfortunately. And I thought her walk would have been stronger...

Mollie Sue got a bit of spotlight this week though, that made me happy! Although it was more in a negative light, I was happy to get to see her a bit more, I looooove that European flava she posesses... all she needs to do is turn a bit loose and SHAZAM! I dare scream perfecto! biggrin

I'm beginning to think Furonda is partially around for comedic purposes. She is soooooo skinny and rather gawky, it's more amusing than anything else, sadly.

Gah... I'm sad that Kari had to leave though... I thought that she could have done so much more! Hellishly more than Gina.... man, what a disappointment this week! xp

An interesting episode, but all the same, it was so highly disappointing to see Gina reppin' the asian-american face on teevee when she totally sucks at every aspect of modelling. I hope that something CRAAAAZY happens and turns her into something either SUPER BAD or SUPER MAGICKAL. Because I am tired of seeing her in this half-assed mode on television.

Episode 5: Second Time's the Charm, Gina Says Goodbye

AAAAAAAAARGH RELIEF! whee

Not only does Gina give Jade a verbal bitchslappin', she also gets sent home. Clearly, she's had some reeeeally awful photos and is really in the dark about posing so I think it was good to see her packing.

But of course, WTF WAS UP WITH DICKINSON?! ******** those producers for MAKING DRAMA. Last season, when Dickinson showed up, she was "ordered" to make Lisa cry. This time, I'll bet she was "ordered" to make Gina feel even lower about herself. Yeah, way to help these girls out. Create loooots of emotional obstacles for these girls so that they're READY FOR THE REAL WORLD! biggrin biggrin biggrin

...if they don't break down in the first place. ********. Dickinson is such a b***h. I love Twiggy. heart

Nnenna is a beautiful queen. She has that quiet, majestic confidence about her that just KILLS!!! ... in a good way, hahahaha! xd I hope that Mollie Sue really develops herself too though so that when she gets more air time, she'll shine in her own way. Right now, Nnenna OWNZ this joint in my book.

Danielle is doing pretty well too! Hahahaha, oh gosh, I loved the shot when she's like "I'd homeschool my kids!!" after Jade just says she wanted to kindergarden teacher.... I think I'd pull my kids out too, hahaha! xd Oh gosh, JADE! A GRADE SCHOOL TEACHER?! ******** no! gonk

Episode 6: Persona non grata, Mollie Sue's Star Falls

WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!





No. no. no. Mollie Sue was in my top 3 with Nnenna and Danielle. To see Mollie exit because her personality was "weak"? BOLLOCKS. This is a ******** SHAM.

And Jade is staying. After ******** with Nnenna's relationship. Which Nnenna should just ******** END. Even temporarily! Be like, "hey I'll talk to you when the competition is over. For now, let's just keep thing straight and cool. Love you baby, CIAO FOR NOW."

Ugh. WELLLL~ I certainly cannot wait to see what s**t Jade is gonna pull out next week and we'll see the televised b***h aspect of Nnenna. YO YO YO!

Episode 7: No Presence in Person, Leslie Walks On

Jade is such a b***h. She may make a lovely model, but she is such a c**t! Her ego would just get in the way, I know it. On the after-show blog thing, someone inquired about her relationship with Jade, Leslie said that she hung out with Jade quite a bit cos she was real fun. Riiiight... but once the cocktails are over and it's time to strut or pose, Jade will ******** your brains out with her ego. Totally! xp

I'm kind of sad to see Leslie go. Other than Danielle, she's the only coloured lady who's not ******** craaaazy. I mean, Furonda's got a slick attitude but I hate her look. She looks absolutely boooring. And Nnenna really got on my nerves this episode! The editors did a fantastic job at painting Nnenna with a more sour flavour in these past two episodes. Nnenna's full of strength, but she's also looking down at the world from her pedestal and fuuuuuuck it's getting very ridiculous.

I hope the caucasian chicks get a bit of a boost though. They are coming across as SO BLANDDDDDD right now! Brooke came through a bit and Sara seems a bit wimpery, but otherwise is reeeeally bland as well. crying Ever since Mollie Sue's gone, something has been lacking in the model lanscape of the show.

Episode 8: No More Chances, Brooke's Beauty Isn't Enough

DISAPPOINTING! Yet understanable because while I like Brooke's look, she isn't bringing it on.

Joanie's tropperlines is really highlighted here though. Anyone who's had serious dental work knoooows how shitty it is to get out there after having someone dig around in your mouth for some time. crying

I didn't like the black and white photoshoot photos. They were good, but I like the b&w ones from cycle 5 a lot more.
