Kara peeked out from behind the entrance's fence curiously. The sun was nearly gone and the world was lit with a gloomy orange and purple glow. She had been wondering what the strange music was coming from this direction, and decided to take physical form to check it out! The place looked wonderfully tempting. Lights and sounds echoing around the tents and rides. Smells of food and other creatures filling the air. I wonder what's in this place! It looks fun!

Ah! The first go around is always the best. Let the show begin!

The music had began to play in its usual bitter sweet melody that enticed many souls ever closer to the carnival. The food and play were equally divine. The freak show much more entertaining and interactive than most. The tent had been raised and the chatter of carnival workers filled the air. Oh yes, the show was about to begin indeed. The carnival master was giddy as she dropped the veil on her personal realm where the true carnival was.

"Come in! Do come in, one and all, old and young! See what wonderful, stupefying, soul chilling - no - THRILLING sights lie in wait beyond the gate! The music is playing and let there be no delaying! Steer not away from this night of delight and fright! Allow yourself to have some real fun ~!" The female yelled as she stepped out of her personal domain and completely blurring the line between her personal realm and that of the true world. The carnival would suddenly spring to life as she brought forward those who dwelled within her realm to work. The carnival became lively as ever and those she had created in her realm as guests wandered about as if it were their first visit.

Severine took a bow as the carnival fully sprung to life and her illusions roared into reality. A feral monstrous and terrifying beast stretched upwards into the sky and loomed over the carnival. Severine trotted throughout the carnival until she came upon the entrance. It was there that she saw a small girl staring upon the carnival in awe. "Welcome to the carnival m'dear! Come in! Come in! I will allow you to come and see all for free!" Her cheerful voice as she gestured towards the now much more lively but equally nightmare inducing event before her.

The little girl hopped inside excitedly. She wanted to see everything, but first whatever main event the ringmaster had in store. "What's going on in the tent? Is there a show?" Kara looked up at the woman beaming with joy. "Is there monsters to go see?" She took hold of the ringmasters pants with her little hands and hopped up and down. She hadn't came out of the forest in a long time. Kara really wanted to see something fun.

"Why dear child monster's don't exist!" Severine guided Kara along the tent as it went pitch black. The were sounds of scuttling in the darkness along with a mixture of snarls and mucous ridden growls. "They are creatures. They are born of murderous thoughts! Bitter betrayals! Raw festering hate!" Severine chimed nearly singing the tune as she pulled away from the girl leaving her in the darkness. "They linger in the light of day and depths of night." Her voice echoed before a light flashed on and focused on Severine as she happily walked across a tight rope. In a split second though she jumped and a massive beast snaked over the wire in an arc before crashing into the ground and slithering towards Kara. It sped up and a blood lust became visible in its eyes. The creature nearly impacted with the girl ready to swallow her whole before...poof.

Kara would blink or flinch at the creatures sudden attack and would open her eyes to find herself on Severine's shoulders finishing her walk across the tiny thread of a tightrope. "These frightening things my dear! They are the show! Now tell me what it is that you fear most? It cannot hurt you here.... or can it?Even I do not know! Here in this Dark Carnival the twisted and the strange, the freaks come out to play. The gates to hell burst open and the creatures seek to slay. You see the show is a killer act that people come and yearn to see! Its ectasy and adrenaline dear child! Look, just look you'll see!" The woman laughed as the lights cut back on and the array of horrific visages became visible. One of the clowns was even being eaten. The scene was almost comedic in the ant like size of those below. It seemed the tightrope had shot up to over a couple hundred feet tall! Severine even jumped for it like a mad woman! She laughed in the fall and tipped her hat to Kara before swinging her hat below her feet and pulling the two into it. In the next disorienting moment they were on the ground as she pulled her hat up from feet first to appear before the crowds that were filling the tent. " There is much, much, much more here than meets the eyes! I hope you enjoy the rest of the show." In a slow bow Severine smiled and stepped back from Kara into center stage as everyone seemingly took their place.

Kara's head was spinning from the ride she just had. It wasn't often you were taken on such a maddening journey that defied the senses. Every little piece of her tingled in shock and excitement, and a single thought filled her little hive mind. More! She watched Severine leave her to take a seat and watch the upcoming performance. Her words about fear hopped along in her child-like mind and she tapped her chin in thought. What did she fear? A giggle escaped her lips and she swung her legs as she sat patiently for the show. What a silly question. She didn't fear things. It was all the creatures of the world that feared her. Nothing was more terrifying then the true creature that lurked in the dark. Maybe Kara could join the circus and have fun with them! She needed to find a good way to catch food. Maybe Severine liked human flesh too? Kara wouldn't mind sharing if it meant a nice person to be friends with.
