It's that time of year!

The eggnog, the Christmas shopping, the-almost-getting-ran-over-by-a-reindeer. Ah yes, the holidays. Whether you celebrate Kiahk, Hanukkah, 圣诞快乐', or eat KFC in Japan as part with their holiday traditions, it's a time where everyone comes together. Friends and enemies alike partaking in the holiday cheer. To help celebrate this holiday and bring together the guild, the captain, Feiyimei, and I thought of a few things to do. Contests, a Winter Ball, Prizes & Giveaways, Games, and Secret Santa! Oh my~

The festivities will run all through this month until January 7th.

For this Christmas, we will be hosting a fanfiction writing contest will a pretty nice sum of gold as prize money. For those unaware of what a fanfiction is, "Fan fiction, or fanfiction (often abbreviated as fan fic, fanfic, or simply fic), is a broadly defined fan labor term for stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator." (Wikipedia) For this contest, we will be working with the settings of WCHB and the characters of WCHB so it could be said that this is a WCHB fanfic contest and not exactly a Bleach fanfiction contest.

How it works
1.A prompt will be given further down this post. It will be something extremely vague and contestants can interpret it however they want to produce a fanfiction that they will submit by PMing it to [Feiyimei] before the deadline.
2. Submissions will be reviewed to make sure that they meet the requirements and,once they have been accepted, a confirmation mail will be sent back.
3.a.After the submission deadline, each submission will be revealed and members of the guild will be allowed to vote by PMing [Feiyimei] their vote and any comment or constructive criticism they have both for the submissions they have voted for and those they have not. Should they wish to remain anonymous, they may do so by adding a note in their PM and only their comment will be made public.
3.b.At the same time, 3 anonymous judges from the crew will be doing the same thing. A vote from the judges will be equivalent to 30% (rounded downwards) of the total amount of votes tallied, minus those of the judges. This means that bribing other guild members to vote for your work isn't going to work too well.
4. Votes will be tallied after the voting deadline and math will happen. The 3 submissions with the most votes will be the winner.

Submission Criteria
-No less than 500 words
-No more than 2000 words
-Written in English
-No characters from the canon
-Must include at least [2] RPC that does not belong to the applicant.
-First and unique submission of the contestant

Judging Criteria
-Literacy-Length doesn't necessarily win!
-Creativity-Surprise us!
-Relevance-Surprise us, but reasonably so...

Submission Deadline:

December 25th at 23:59 PST

Voting Deadline

December 30th at 23:59 PST

Prizes
1st: 15 billion gold
2nd:10 billion gold
3rd: 5 billion gold
Consolation prize: 500 million gold.
