User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Back in the day when I first got a computer, I typed in sailormoon.com on the address bar. It took me to a pink website with this picture of Sailor Moon in a dark blue sphere. I was able to create an email account through there and one of the features was a Sailor Moon-themed chat room. The chat room was very well moderated and kept clean of bad people and it was always a bunch of fun to be on. I remember getting on there from November 2008 to about March 2009 maybe? It may have been shorter/longer than that. Anyways, I remember spending New Years on there. One day, I got on the website and there was a big pink box blocking me from logging into my email from there. It had a link that took me to mail.com, the site that ran sailormoon.com. I was able to access my email and get on the chat room, but very few people were on there. It was quite heartbreaking. After getting on a couple times for about a month, the chatroom disappeared completely.

I miss it dearly. Going there for help and advice about school and puberty. Talking about Sailor Moon for hours and who our favorite characters were. Having RP's where we fight off Internet trolls in the chat. I had so much fun that I wish I could have again. I would go find another chat room, but it's very hard to find another one that is as safe and friendly as that one was.

I want to say "Thank you" to the users of that chat room and the moderators. It provided me a safe, friendly environment to freely be myself and talk to people when I needed it. Not to mention we all shared a common love for Sailor Moon. May you rest in peace, sailormoon.com.

Did any of you guys have anything like this? Was it a message board? A chat buddy from a website? ICQ? Let me know and we can all bond over this and soak up each others nostalgic feelings!

That's a really nice story and I wish I could have had something like that too.

Even though Sailor Moon became quite popular through the old anime back in the 90's, no one in my school would watch it (or at least they claimed it). The only thing they watched was Dragon Ball because 'we're guys and guys have to watch manly stuff'. I never felt uncomfortable watching it with my little sister, it was just difficult to find someone who was also interested in it and wouldn't immediately go "eww gaay". Back then I was a teenage boy so I could hardly ask the girls if they were watching it, some of them probably did.

Everything that I read about Sailor Moon or watched, I would pretty much keep to myself. I didn't even think of searching for Sailor Moon fans on Gaia because I was busy roleplaying other things. Now I kind of regret that I missed the whole Sailor Moon hype back in the days and try to get people interested in it now.

Luckily, my best friend also loves Sailor Moon, so I had one person to share it with. But he was never shy in admitting his love for it. He even brought the VHS's of the movies to school and asked our 1st grade teacher to play it. We ended up watching the S movie. For years, we've sworn to only give each other Sailor Moon merchandise for Christmas.

I know what it's like to love something and be the outcast for it. I feel ya bro. It's hard, but everyone else is missing out for it.

EDIT:
He just told me that he found out about Gaia from this chat room. A user was talking about it and he was curious so he made an account. If it wasn't for him, I would have never known about Gaia.

Amen.
Now that I'm older, I have no issues admitting it and I've actually found two girls who are in one of my seminar courses and also love Sailor Moon. It's funny how I found all the threads on Gaia and then suddenly discovered that my friends are also still SM fans. ^^

But what you share with your friend is really awesome!

My computer was limited and chat rooms weren't allowed so I don't really have any chat room stories like that. Other then that my computer was free access.

I made a few friends more in high school then in elementary. Being known as the freshman in high school with alot of Sailor Moon keychains had it's advantages. I made alot of friends from band, even a brand new clique for me having been in no clique for most of my high school.

I have a Sailor Moon bookbag I carry around my college campus. No shame, girl. We gotta represent.

I had a dream about sailormoon.com coming back.. thus I googled sailormoon.com and this actually showed up within the results... So hopefully someone is still active on this website so that way I'm not talking to myself?

I was apart of the forums for the most part. I joined at a very young age, having typed in sailormoon.com into the address bar (because I had no idea what a search engine was).
But a few years later, the forums disappeared and I realized the chat was still active, I really hadn't been in it before then, so I was kind of skeptical of getting into it. But, once I did, there were lots of friendly people. I made lots of friends, some I even added on Facebook ^-^

I miss it so much and all my friends heart
