[.Fel essence description] Aggressive Lavender Lavender can be used to sooth wounds, aid sleep, and overall provides a calming and relaxing effect on people. However, this specimen does the exact opposite. Using this flower in teas or other remedies only results in increased stress, aggression, and other similar symptoms. Even a simple whiff can throw people into a foul mood.

[.Powers] Mantis Punch Mantis shrimp possess the world’s fastest punch (~50 mph underwater), and Kasen has similar strength. Their punch is not as fast as their soul-sake, but arguably is probably one of if not the fastest punch one will see on land (and it packs quite a wallop too!)
Shrimp Vision Mantis shrimp also possess an elaborate vision system, allowing them (and Kasen) to have incredibly precise sight. Kasen has high depth-perception and if they strain hard enough, can see other types of light such as UV light or polarized light.
Angry Pheromones Kasen can release pheromones that cause people to become more aggressive, moody, and animal-like.
[.Personality] Despite looking like a young adult, Kasen can be very childish. They have a strong sense of curiosity and learns quickly, but also hasn’t learned what the world considers to be moral and immoral. Combined with their developing emotional intelligence, it can be difficult to pull Kasen in when they’ve done something wrong—especially with their straightforward personality. Rather than rely on cunning, they prefer to keep things simple and honest, perhaps brutally honest. More often than not, they’ll also prefer to settle issues through physical means, and loves aggression over passivity and compromise.
Just like a rambunctious child, Kasen craves adventure, mischief, and pranks. They will do almost anything to get their rush of fun and adrenaline, especially if it involves physical force and fighting. Kasen thrives on chaos and has no shame in admitting their faults. With such a puerile mind, it’s not surprising they also tend to be easily distracted, moving from one shiny thing to the next, which can be useful when Kasen is angry or stirring up problems for amusement’s sake. Additionally,, they love to hoard tangible objects, and their hoard in turn fuels their growing disorganization. For what it’s worth, at least Kasen repeatedly voices their dislike for lies and always tells the straight truth. Although they love to stir trouble, Kasen still means well and cherishes their close friends and family.

GUARDIAN APPLICATION SECTION
NAME : Aspen
GENDER : Male
AGE : 32
OCCUPATION : Florist
RACE : Dryad-Human
LIKES : nature, animals, astronomy, aesthetics, apple pie, cooking
DISLIKES : smoke, machinery/technology, loud noises, crowds
LOOKS : Often outside, tall and lean Aspen has kept his skin tanned, though his blond hair remains pale as ever. His hair doesn’t quite brush his shoulders and is slicked back, but over the day strands often slip out. He has a rather youthful face and deep green eyes. He tries to stay clean with his dress shirts and coats, but they’re often untucked or slightly crinkled.
PERSONALITY : Despite living as an independent adult, Aspen often causes people to worry. Having lived in the woods most of his life, he has a very my-pace work ethic and can be spacey, his thoughts drifting from one place to another while completely ignoring the task at hand. His earnest and hardworking personality helps him to finish whatever business he has, so he manages to properly care for himself.
Aspen is noticeably more shy and clumsy when in a large group, but when he’s with a select few his true personality shines through. He speaks somewhat timidly and quietly, but always sincerely. He is a naïve optimist who believes in the best in everyone, and doles out forgiveness like it costs nothing at all. Aspen’s unending pacifism and kindness makes it easy to pull him into ridiculous chores or infinite tasks, but he never appears to mind.
HISTORY : He was born and raised in a small cottage that was well-secluded from Barton Town. His parents preferred to live a simple, solitary life. As such, Aspen rarely met other people. Instead, he learned much about nature and whatever else lay in his family’s modest collection of books. Possessing the same pacifist, content nature as his parents, he didn’t mind being isolated from the world, though he often wondered what it would be like to travel. Even traveling to Barton Town would have sufficed.
It turns out he didn’t have to leave. One day, a girl named Annabelle stumbled upon their cottage while their parents were out, and she continued to visit Aspen every day. They grew closer; Annabelle convincing Aspen to temporarily follow her to Barton Town. It took a week before his parents found and dragged the young Aspen back to their cottage.
But after Annabelle, he was determined to travel. Once he was old enough he decided to leave, visiting the other towns and broadening his horizons while Annabelle had opted to stay home a little longer. At 26, a devastated Aspen returned to Barton Town and found Annabelle had passed away, leaving behind a daughter named Lily with her elder sister. Aspen and Lily remain separated, but they interact frequently. Lily remains hesitant about moving in with Aspen, especially when he can’t resist taking in stray animals, anything that looks like it needs caring, really.

SOUL CHOICE : Strzyga
FEL ESSENCE : Fragile Dragon Scale
FEL ESSENCE DESCRIPTION : Although dragons are thought to possess durable skin, this scale appears to be incredibly soft! Just touching this scale causes it to break apart, turning it into a pile of shards and powder. Fortunately, with some time it’ll automatically reform into a scale, but another slight touch will cause it to shatter.
POSSIBLE POWERS : Disintegration (Active) With the touch of Mortis’s hand, she can render objects to rubble. Eventually they will come together, but larger objects take more time to repair. This ability only works on inorganic matter and larger objects will obviously require more effort and energy.
Treasure Magnet (Passive) Since dragons are known to hoard items, Mortis seems to have a penchant for attracting different kinds of treasures. Sometimes she’ll find shiny rocks on the road or be randomly given trinkets. This mainly applies to gold, jewels, and other shiny items, but she also has increased chances of finding personal treasures if she tries hard enough.
Bird of Prey (Active) Mortis can partially gain owl-like features at will. Main features include sharpened, talon-like nails and night vision. She is, however, more irate in this mode and can remain mildly feral after transforming back.
Blood Sensitivity (Passive) Mortis is more sensitive to blood in that she has an acute sense of smell for it. With some practice, she can also pick out other characteristics such as disease, age (how long the blood has been out) based on the contents. This is especially useful when she goes out to hunt (for fun or otherwise) and is following injured prey.
PERSONALITY : Mortis refuses to let things or people hold her down, and if she wants to do something or sees something that she wants, she’ll do what she can to get it. Public rules and laws don’t particularly matter to her, only her own set of codes, so she won’t hesitate to break common courtesies. She can act quite rude and feral—using her physical senses over mind, putting her feet up, sitting on or climbing various pieces of furniture, etc. But even if she’s been told to stop or yelled at, she won’t care and unless she likes the person probably will continue her behavior.
She values freedom, and encourages other people to do the same. Mortis can often be seen in wide-open areas. If she sees someone acting stiff or too conservative, she’ll likely try to “help” them out of their shell or at least loosen up temporarily. Conversely, anyone who tries to constantly force things on others she has a severe dislike for and will go out of her way to cause trouble for them.
While she may come off as forceful and abrasive, she can also be wise. Mortis feels a connection with nature and draws many ideas from the things she sees while outside. Therefore, she can actually come across as intelligent, especially when paired with her keen eyes, but such moments are rare and fleeting because she is less inclined to act serious than excited and seeking entertainment.
