The sound was the only thing that kept her going. Music. The one true pleasure she had in life. Sure, she always wanted to fall in love, to find someone to sweep her off her feet, but who could love a girl with stitched eyes and bones coming out of her legs?

She sighed, shaking the negative thoughts out of her head and putting her peppy mask on as she walked home through the park. Just another day, she supposed.

Ritalin paused, sensing the world around her. Even though she couldn't see she could still *feel* objects around her. She could feel their size, their distance, the speed at which they were drawing closer to her. She was distracted only momentarily, but it was long enough to crash headlong into what she assumed was another noodle.

She scrambled to apologize but before the words could come out, their voice seeped into her ears. It was sweet like honey, second only to her music. By sounds of it, they were male. She would kill to see what he looks like; to experience his colors.

"No, no, My bad!" Her voice was peppy, cheery. "I should have been more aware of my surroundings. You would think for a dancer I wouldn't be so damn clumsy." She giggled, hoping he wasn't too offended that she bumped into him.

Ritalin giggled as she sensed the heat flowing to his face. "Well, thank you! I wish I could say the same to you, but I'm afraid I can't see much. You have a great voice though, it has such a kind tone to it." Her face flushed warmly. She had never really been told she was cute before and it caused a large, giddy smile to bloom across her face. Of course her momma and daddy had always told her she was pretty, but family didn't count. This time it was coming from a stranger, and it was incredibly enchanting.

"Lunch? Really? You want to go to lunch with me?!" She practically squeaked as her tail began to sway in happiness. I Would love to! Let's do it. Where do you wanna go?! She grabbed his arm and bounded ahead, practically bouncing with excitement.

Ritalin grinned huge. A cafe? A cafe is PERFECT! Coffee is totally my thing! Though my family says I don't do well with coffee..." She giggles, continuing to lead him towards the street. " They say it makes me talk WAY too fast, because I apparently I talk fast as it is..." She realizes that she's rambling and blushes a deep, embarrassed red. She then slows down to walk next to her new friend so that she doesn't seem rude. " Sorry. They say I talk a lot too. If I ever get annoying just let me know. Apparently it happens more often than I'd like..." Her words trail off as she heaves a sigh. "Are we near your cafe yet?"

Ritalin Carefully took a seat, trying not to bump into anything in her new environment. "I'm from around here, I suppose. Since I can't see I can't travel far. My abilities can only do so much! How about you? What's your story?

You...you didn't have parents? That's so sad... Ritalin frowned, unable to imagine life without her family. Her parents and siblings were the most important people in her life.

So I guess it would be your turn for a question, if that's the game you want to play! She smiled, eagerly awaiting the sweet sound of his voice again. In a world of darkness, sound was really all she had. His voice was so sweet.

COFFEE!! Ritalin was distracted momentarily from the question by the thought of coffee. "Wait!" She called the waitress back over. "I'll have... an iced four shot Caramel latte, extra caramel!" She beamed, oblivious to the sour, judgmental look that the waitress gave her as she walked away.

She turned back to Kanto. "My family? They're pretty awesome I guess! We're all a little different some how..." She thought about it before continuing. "My momma's pretty quiet. A bit reserved. And shes a null! All of our abilities have no effect on her. Its kinda nice, she's the only person I can sing to..." Ritalin's voice trailed off sadly, it made her upset to think about how she couldn't sing for others. "And my daddy, he's a musician. He plays guitar and sings a bit. He taught me everything I know! Any woman around him falls in love with him though...he hates it... She stops to think. Not wanting to ramble, she decides to leave out her siblings and grandparents. And then there's me! She grins. I've got abilities too. I can't see, but I can sense objects. Like I can't see your colors, but I can tell that you're sitting just across the table. Think of it like only seeing outlines. So I can move just fine, but I've always wanted to see colors... She leaves out her Siren ability. Just thinking about it caused shame and fear to well up in her throat. She didn't want her new friend's feeling about her to be altered by her ability.
